Went back with family and ate at restaurant today. Nice & quiet and delicious Taiwanese food. Only thing is the stinky tofu can be stinkier! So this maybe good for those who don't really like it to try. Really liked the intestines. Ladies spoke Taiwanese and my mom really enjoyed the food.

I want to really like this place since I heard about it from a friend more than a year ago. But seeing how it's so far where my location (35 min drive), eating take out is just not the same as trying it hot at location. This place is small with two 4 person table and a 2 seater. I don't know if I will ever eat here in person to really taste the food in all its glory, vs slightly soggy 35 minutes later. The beef noodle soup - the beef is super tender and melts in your mouth. But I wasn't a fan of the broth. The popcorn chicken smelled wonderful in the car but was soggy and soft by the time we got home.

Found this little gem. When I say little, it's small inside. 3 tables max. I did go in and was able to sit down. This is your definition of a mom and pop store. Friendly grandma and grandpa who took care of me when I walked in. Got the following: Pork chop over rice (4/5) - very tasty and super fresh chop. It was on the smaller side of a typical pork chop over rice order but you'd be full from just this. The meat sauce over rice was not minced. You'll see small pieces of the pork belly, it's that type of style meat sauce. Delicious nonetheless. Traditional stinky tofu (5/5) - came out piping and stinky! Very good! Can't go wrong with this dish. I said traditional because they also have another version which is the black stinky tofu, which is not your traditional Taiwan version. I'll try that next time. Braised intestine (5/5) - perfect portion for 1. It came out thinly sliced, tender and a slight chew. Great taste and I love eating it with rice. The side sauce it comes with is a tad sweet. You can skip that. Service was great and intimate. No photos because I devoured it all and didn't think I would write a review but it deserves one ! Check this place out if you haven't ! Another visit 12/2024: Black stinky tofu: 4/5 - taste great but I think the original is better! Braised pork: 5/5 - delicious! Thinly sliced and when it's slightly warm, melts in your mouth. Beef noodle soup: 3/5 - the noodles were fresh and tasted hand pulled and the beef were super tender BUT the broth was a bit too sweet to my taste. Overall not bad ! Updated with photos this time!

My new gold standard for Beef Noodle Soup).

Cold December days require hot soup. I had a hankering for Taiwanese Beef Noodle soup and needed to be in Flushing but did NOT want to deal with parking. Thank to Yelp!! I discovered this AMAZING spot a couple of blocks away from the hospital. I was blown away. This is a small spot on the corner but I was lucky to find an open table. This is now my gold standard for this luscious soup. The braised shin meat was tender and juicy. The noodles were obviously homemade and had the perfect amount of chew. The broth??? Truly exceptional. Deeply flavored and unctuous with tons of bone broth collagen. What a great find. Sharing is caring. The couple next to me absolutely recommended the Taiwanese fried chicken as a must order. Good to know. Please support these artisans.

Was craving Duck (Blood) Noodles after having it in Taiwan. I ordered delivery, so can't judge on the service. The duck was a bit on the dry side, but the soup was very flavorful! I let the duck blood soak in the soup to rehydrate. They give a perfect amount of toppings and noodles. Would like to try it in the restaurant to see see if it's less dry when made fresh. I did add a bit of homemade spicy oil to give it a kick and boost the flavor even more. The Taiwanese Sausage is generously sized and delicious. Worth getting for sure! Overall, a solid Taiwanese spot. Would like to try out their other dishes.

A bit off the beaten path, this Taiwanese restaurant is in a residential neighborhood. There are 3 tables for dining in - two 4 seaters and a 2 seater. Looks like a small family run business. Good food, friendly service. I liked their stinky tofu and tofu appetizers.

Found this place on Eater and came here with my mom for lunch. A hole in the wall that does mostly takeout but has 3 tables inside. We ordered the glutinous rice, the roast duck, the stinky tofu, beef noodle soup, and the cold appetizer platter. Everything was delicious. The beef noodle soup was fragrant and flavorful, the stinky tofu had a great sauce, cold appetizer traditional as always. We had a great experience here with our food. It's an authentic Taiwanese place! Great service.

I ordered a beef noodle soup and a Luroufan for delivery. The beef noodle soup didn't have much flavor, except for sweet. The four pieces of beef that they served was sliced so thin it was sad, and not even tender. I also requested extra sour mustard, which they didn't give. That was very upsetting. The Luroufan was mediocre as it ate oily. There was plenty of meat, but the flavor wasn't that good and it was definitely missing the sour mustard. The Yelp rating is high and their food photos look really good so I would try them again if I'm in the area. The food might taste better if eaten right away and maybe I chose the wrong items.

Ordered from uber eats. So can't rate about ambiance and service. But the food pretty decent. Braised mix is really well made with the sauce. Always wanted to try sausage in rice sausage, pretty impressive.

Found this place by chance. Good Taiwanese restaurants are hard to find now days. So we decided to support it and try it. O. M. G. They have the BEST stinky tofu in flushing, period! It's so stinky. So crunchy. So goooooooood. It's really, really good. Then I have their 滷肉飯 ,滷肉麵,and 肉羹麵。allllll soooo good. Pop corn chicken was Authentic too. Sausage was good but they left out 大腸包小腸 and by the time I called them they were already closed, but I bet it would have been good too. Must come try this place. Don't let it die out like all other Taiwanese spots in flushing.

This place is an underrated, authentic, well priced place to go for Taiwanese food. I got zongzi and the luroufan and both were tasty and well priced! Good portions as well. I will definitely be ordering more food from this place in the future!

Taiwanese rice vermicelli soup tastes great! Too bad they need a minimum 24 hours advance notice to make it pan fried style.

Of course, we expect the school to choose only the highest quality restaurants to order delivery from, and yes, it was quite good, considering that it was delivery that was lugged all the way from Flushing and ultimately had to be reheated in the microwave. Come this past weekend, we decided to plan a whole day trip to Flushing to visit Flushing Meadows Corona Park and eat some good Taiwanese and Chinese food. We search Yelp and we come across this place, OK Ryan. The restaurant is small and cozy, but packed a big bite. We had Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, Pork Chop lunchbox, Oyster Pancake, Pork Intestine Vermicelli, Taiwanese Sausage, and Golden Red Bean Pancake. Everything authentic and delicious. Oyster Pancake was probably the best I've had for a very long time - it was filled with oysters, not too doughy, not too saucy. Beef noodle soup had excellent depth of flavor and the meat was tender and delicious. We ordered way too much food and took a bunch of it home. Found out that the restaurant was cash or Venmo only. So I take out my phone and Venmo the bill. But wait, my Venmo app did not register OK Ryan as a new restaurant. In fact, it said I had paid this restaurant several... times.... before. Cue the freak out. Who hacked my Venmo account to buy Taiwanese food?? OK, so obviously, OK Ryan and OK Canaan are one and the same. Good for delivery, but now we know, much better in person. We'll try the real OK Canaan next time.

I love love love the classic Taiwanese dishes that were on the menu here. I couldn't help myself but to order to my stomachs content. Of course, the stinky tofu! Not as stinky as I'd like (IYKYK). But the flavor of the sauce with the hot sauce that it comes with matches perfectly. I also ordered a trio appetizer of braised intestines, pig foot and tofu. They were all delicious! Nicely warm and all melts in your mouth. Good flavor! Pairs well with rice. My main was the chicken set. Delicious! And I love how they did the chicken 2 ways. With all the little side apps that it comes with as well. Everything was great. I didn't give a full 5 stars and this one negative may break it for you in coming here but while I was sitting I did notice small baby roaches strolling along the walls. Whenever I come across Taiwanese beef noodle soup, I usually have to try it. Overall, it was pretty good, the broth was tasty and the meat was tender. They offer both beef and beef tendon noodle soup, which I always appreciate since not every place does. However, when my mother requested just beef tendon due to dental issues, we were told it couldn't be accommodated because the meat is pre-portioned. That was a bit surprising for such a small establishment, as I would have assumed it was ladled from a larger pot like many similar places. I ended up ordering the same bowl and giving my mom all the tendon while I kept the meat although I'll admit I would have preferred to keep the tendon for myself. My cousin ordered the spicy beef noodle soup, which she really enjoyed. I tried a taste as well, but it wasn't really my preference. The spice had more of a Sichuan-style profile, leaning toward that mala flavor that I don't personally enjoy. Aside from that, the soup was enjoyable, though not the best I've had, but certainly nowhere near the worst either. We also ordered stinky tofu, which unfortunately didn't have quite enough soy sauce (I could have asked for more, but didn't bother) and ended up tasting a bit under-seasoned. It also wasn't as pungent as one would hope. Service was minimal, with one server who I believe may also have been the owner. While everything came out correctly, there wasn't much flexibility with requests, which made the experience feel a bit rigid. Prices were also on the higher side for a small, off-the-beaten-path spot. Overall, it was a decent meal with some good flavors, but a few inconsistencies kept it from being a standout.

We walked into a compact, no frills space with a casual grab and go feel that fits the type of food being served. The shop keeps things simple, but the concept works well for a quick and filling meal, especially when you want something affordable that still has plenty of flavor packed into a portable format. The rice rolls are the main reason to come here. The purple sticky rice gives each roll a slightly chewy texture and makes it feel more substantial than a typical grab and go snack. Inside, the fillings create a good mix of textures with savory ingredients, vegetables, and sauces packed into each bite. We tried the eel rice roll, which stood out as one of the stronger options. The eel added a richer flavor that paired well with the rice and seaweed, and adding spicy mayo gave it an extra layer of flavor without overpowering the rest of the roll. The combination of the soft, chewy rice and the variety of fillings made each bite feel balanced and satisfying. What makes fan tuan enjoyable is how balanced it feels as a meal. It is compact, easy to eat, and surprisingly filling for the size. There are plenty of filling combinations to choose from, including meat, seafood, and more traditional options, so it is easy to find something depending on what you are craving. The portions are generous enough that a single roll can serve as a full meal, and the pricing makes it an easy choice for a quick lunch or dinner. Service is straightforward and the focus is really on getting the rice rolls prepared quickly. The staff moves efficiently, and the order turnaround is fast, which fits the grab and go format well.
