I tried to order for pick up but the lady didn't really understand English. I then tried to order in my broken Cantonese and it was a fail, I was only able to order 3 items over the phone and had to order the rest in person by pointing haha. So if you don't speak much Chinese then go in and order and they cook it up fast. They accept credit card and cash for the same price. It was a very cold Friday after Thanksgiving night and it was empty. The food was cooked up fast and it was all flavorful and a great price. If you order a $10 dish and an appetizer you can make it a combo for $15. The portions are big and my friends and I all enjoyed our dinner and leftovers for the weekend. Highly reccomend the pork chop over rice, braised pork belly (comes with quail eggs) and the beef with pepper over rice. Definitely coming back here again to try other dishes. The place was spacious and clean and bright.

Been getting their fried pork chop with rice and soup! Around $11 so filling, so big so much and so tasty.

Good service, good food, and great prices. The combo is a good value but we ordered from the main dish instead. We will definitely come back to try other dishes.

Two orders to go. 10-15 minute wait. Nice clean atmosphere. Fried Chicken Cutlet had lots of flavor. The little side veggies were blah. But who cares. The stir fried broccoli was a bit bland. Good for those that want less sauce.

Amazing service, it was pouring out and the staff was so welcoming and pulled out a seat for me while I was waiting. You get a great value here and the food is delicious!

The beef noodle soup is a must. Everything else is also good. The only complaint is there is no pickle veggies in their pork chop over rice.

The meal combo worth the price. Wish they have more choices. I like the braise pork and the pork buns.

However, the delivery experience has been very uncomfortable. On my last order, I only had $13 left in my bank account and paid $11 for the food. When the delivery driver arrived, he immediately demanded a tip. I explained that I didn't have cash, but he insisted that I send him a tip through Zelle. He stood there and refused to leave until I did it. He literally watched me open my banking app, saw that I only had $2 left in my account, and still waited while I sent those last $2 as a tip. He even checked to make sure the payment went through before leaving. I want to be clear that I do tip when I can, because I understand that delivery drivers work hard. But sometimes money is tight and people are just trying to afford food. Being pressured and essentially forced to tip is extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional.

I got an order of scallion pancake that is somehow both over and under cooked and just filled with oil. I got a lunch special of chicken with broccoli in a garlic sauce. When I tasted it, I had to check that it was chicken. This was the fishiest, worst chicken with broccoli I've ever had. I called them to make sure it had no fish, they laughed at me and said no but the flavors don't lie. It's in the garbage now uneaten

But when you don't have the luxury of a car and you don't want to pay 40 dollars on UberEats for good Chinese food, you'll be convinced to try your luck in the area. Not gonna lie, I chose Dumpling House because it was the closest Chinese food near me, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The women who greeted me at the counter was friendly and took my order: one large hot and sour soup and a small house special fried rice. I wouldn't recommend coming on a hot day because the shop can be hot if you're waiting for takeout, but the wait wasn't too long. After about 15 to 20 minutes, I was walking home with $11 dollar takeout. The hot and sour soup is pretty good and I've had a lot of hot and sour soup in my life. The consistency is not too thin or thick and the flavor is balanced (not too sweet or sour). For 5 dollars, I think it's a steal. The house special rice is good and not too greasy. For some reason, it still tasted Americanized even with the Asian ingredients I was used to. There was some chicken, barbecue pork, mixed veggies, egg, etc. and the ingredients mixed well despite it tasting American. Even though I got a small rice, I still had some leftover to eat the next day. Despite my obviously biased Asian tastebuds, I was very happy with what I got and I will definitely be back for some more hot and sour soup!
