I was driving home after the beach and wanted to grab something fast so I figured I'd try this new to me spot on the way home. Big mistake. The food is inedible. I got an order of scallion pancake that is somehow both over and under cooked and just filled with oil. I got a lunch special of chicken with broccoli in a garlic sauce. When I tasted it, I had to check that it was chicken. This was the fishiest, worst chicken with broccoli I've ever had. I called them to make sure it had no fish, they laughed at me and said no but the flavors don't lie. It's in the garbage now uneaten read more

I'm very skeptical with Chinese takeout that comes from those Chinese corner stores with menus that offer way too many options (aka as any americanized Chinese food). But when you don't have the luxury of a car and you don't want to pay 40 dollars on UberEats for good Chinese food, you'll be convinced to try your luck in the area. Not gonna lie, I chose Dumpling House because it was the closest Chinese food near me, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The women who greeted me at the counter was friendly and took my order: one large hot and sour soup and a small house special fried rice. I wouldn't recommend coming on a hot day because the shop can be hot if you're waiting for takeout, but the wait wasn't too long. After about 15 to 20 minutes, I was walking home with $11 dollar takeout. The hot and sour soup is pretty good and I've had a lot of hot and sour soup in my life. The consistency is not too thin or thick and the flavor is balanced (not too sweet or sour). For 5 dollars, I think it's a steal. The house special rice is good and not too greasy. For some reason, it still tasted Americanized even with the Asian ingredients I was used to. There was some chicken, barbecue pork, mixed veggies, egg, etc. and the ingredients mixed well despite it tasting American. Even though I got a small rice, I still had some leftover to eat the next day. Entire order received smelled and tasted of fish. I personally do not eat seafood. This is for Mother's Day Lunch. My mother ordered shrimp fried rice and everyone else ordered chicken or beef dishes. All the orders tasted very off and I myself ran to the bathroom to spit out the food in to the toilet. I had beef with broccoli. My sister in law tried my meal out of disbelief and had the same reaction. This experience has left me and my partner, my brother, his wife and autistic daughter and our mother feeling unable to trusting to eat out for a long, long while. read more

Dumpling house is one of my favorite Chinese spot in the area of woodhaven. I've been coming to this place for many years and still I Get the same great taste. You can say I've had countless and numerous combinations of platters, my favorite would be broccoli & garlic sauce w/ house special fried rice. The appetizers are all fried except for a couple of them like steam dumplings but I've had pork, shrimp, vegetable, and spring egg rolls and they are all delicious something about this place the way they make them. I've also had fried chicken wings, crab sticks, fried wontons which are also fried goodness. For the rice dishes I've had vegetable fried rice, house special fried rice, shrimp fried rice, plain fried rice my favorite would be shrimp fried rice but all their fried rices are awesome! You can get many other menu items like lo mein, chicken dishes like kung pao, beef dishes like beef and broccoli, you also have option of diet menu where they can steam chicken,brown rice, or steam vegetables if that's your option. Earlier than expected. My granddaughter really enjoyed the chicken nuggets & fries. Food hot & delicious. Rice with boneless spare ribs has peas, carrots & onions just the way I like it. Great friendly staff. Once you enter they greet you immediately. The prices are very reasonable and the food is better then most. Its walking distance to me and quite clean. My favorite are in fact the dumplings. I would recommend this place to anyone driving or walking by. My girlfriend fell in love with their piggy bank on the counter haha. read more

Easily the most rudest service available in the Jamaica Avenue district. The delivery man was quite rude. There are much better options out there in Jamaica Avenue itself. You will be greeted with ok food and the horrid service puts the chicken wings to shame. read more

My one complaint is I have to pay $.75 for some gravy that was really greasy but I got over that after tasting the food . We were given some complimentary bun and cheese to take home after our meal.

I really enjoyed this event and the location on Jamaica Avenue was a convenient meeting place, looking liking a small cafeteria. The service was very friendly and cordial. They bought napkins and plates along with our drinks. When the pizza pie came out; hot and fresh, they delivered it to our table. This is a very small place and we were lucky to find a seat and there's no restrooms. My very first small bite, into the slice of margarita pizza was absolutely delicious, it had a sweet savory taste and looked like Vodka sauce. This is a cash pay system and they do allow you to stand and eat at the counter. I will most definitely be returning. I'm very satisfied with this visit... Inspire more, Yelp more!

horrible place :( sadly it looks like it could have been a nice Chinese restaurant it has kool Chinese Writing on the doors and signs reminds me of a 80s look to the place kinda kool but food sucks nasty ordered chicken wings and srimp fired rice and the chicken looked so dark and smelled like nasty Oil i dont think they change they oil offtin i belive they Reuse it for maby a month its so gross and the chicken tast like it was cooked 3days ago and recooked pretty nasty place is old and they dont clean noting its gross stay away from the place to me it seem like a old chinese food strugling to stay open i feel spend money and change or shut down the place thats just how i feel read more
