Rude people with terrible service and food taste nasty. Would be better if they closed

I was looking for a new Chinese food restaurant and this place was recommended. Ordered the General Tso's Chicken with pork fried rice and fried dumplings. We also ordered fried shrimp for my daughter, which she loved. They were very crispy. Everything tasted great. The only reason I am giving this place 3 stars is because it took an hour for our food to be delivered. If you're hungry make sure you order take out way in advance. Also, you can only pay cash for delivery unless you use a delivery service like GrubHub. read more

Taste of China - 90. General Tso's Chicken and 52. Roast Pork Fried Rice 28. Fried Dumplings (7 Pieces) - Chinese Near Me - Maspeth, New York

Taste of China has become a go to place for delivery. They make dishes my family likes so there's that. We mainly order through GrubHub. read more

This used to be a solid old school Chinese spot , but something has changed , not sure if they are under new management or what it is .. but it's not good . As mentioned in another review the beef and mushrooms were so salty it was inedible, the dimsum ( shrimp dumplings ) were dry, cold and flavorless , cold sesame noodles had no sauce or flavor , this is my brother's go to Chinese spot and he said all his food was not the same as it used to be and he did not enjoy it. Surprisingly enough the Szechuan wontons , which have sucked from every other place I've ordered from before, were outstanding , the sauce was sweet, a little sour, garlicky and most importantly spicy AF , if they did everything else as well as they did these they would really have something but as it stands now I will be crossing this place off my delivery list..although I might need those wontons again at some point read more

Horrible customer service!!!!!! Very rude very disrespectful poor service!!! Cancels orders without explanation

This is your average American Chinese restaurant (sesame chicken, lo mein, etc). It is neither bad nor good. They could be more generous with the amount of meat that is given in your entree and the food was a little blander than some other places. The prices are decent though with their best deal being the lunch special which is an entree with your choice of side (egg roll, soup, soda). read more

Love the takeout here!! Their fried rice is seriously the most delicious and addictive I've had in awhile. I tried a sesame chicken combo, beef lo mein, green beans, fried dumplings and got a free wonton soup through Grubhub. Everything was 10/10, my only disappointment was the pan fried dumplings. They were super tough and dry. The outside wrapping did not seem fresh. Overall, I will keep ordering from here read more

I'm pretty loyal when it comes to chinese take out so i'll usually just order from my own spot. Especially cause they deliver so far. But since being on grand ave i've started to try and support local businesses. Yesterday my daughter and I decided to walk into taste of china to try it out. I'm glad we did because the food was good and it was fast and friendly service. Not to mention the kitchen itself looked really clean! Will definitely be back! read more

This place is just up the block from me so my kids just go there by foot! It is a favorite of mine and the neighborhood. The delivery guy is always running in and out whenever I'm there. Taste of China have a good selection of typical Chinese dishes and they have the usual lunch specials. The place is kept very clean and service is fast. The lady behind the counter always get my order correct but the guy is the opposite. The owner and worker are from the same family and have been here forever. I have watch their children grow up these past years. Their prices is a little on the high end BUT their dishes are very large! read more

Amazing customer service. Food is delicious! This is my go to chinese take out resturant.

I ordered chicken wings with French fries through grubhub but the app did not work, as a result my order never arrived because the restaurant was closed and the app didn't show it. The restaurant reached out to me about my order and then they delivered the order plus a complementary soda. The food was delicious. Taste of China - The chicken wings here is really good and crispy! - Chinese Near Me - Maspeth, New York

Ordered through seamless mixed vegetables, sweet & sour chicken, spring rolls, & boneless spareribs but what I got was soggy oily mixed vegetables no where near fresh veggies drenched in oil. The sweet & sour chicken was mystery meat not white meat no meat inside period drench again in oil. The spring rolls were shrimp egg rolls instead was not even labeled to let me know which was the pork eggroll that comes with the boneless spare ribs or spring rolls. Just beyond disgusting I cant get the taste out of my mouth not even exaggerating. My bf said the boneless spare ribs tasted like sandpaper. I ordered based off of all the positive reviews on yelp so I had to share my horrible experience! read more

After waiting for a long time my beef chow fun came out over cooked. The noodles stuck together like a big clump and very sesame oil forward. The place was hot without or very little AC. Their friend was arguing loudly for a long time with the owner though they saw me eating there. It was a horrible experience. read more

they are f**king liars. They canceled our Uber eats order not even 5 minutes after placing the order and their reason!? "WE CALLED AND ASKED TO CANCEL THE ORDER" the f**k we did. I can't even get ahold of Uber eats properly now to say no we didn't cancel our damn order. F**k this place. read more

Their delivery service has been second to none at these trying times. What's also amazing is that they're the only Chinese takeout to stay open within proximity of me. Everything I see and experienced from them says a lot about their integrity and effort to provide a service to our community that most others won't. Thank you. Y'all better put your orders in before people start realizing this is the only Chinese take out open and you start waiting a long time because everyone is ordering from them. read more

Service is excellent. Food is great. Atmosphere is clean. If I'm feeling lazy I order for delivery and never took longer than 45 minutes. It's my go to when I'm feeling chinese food. My favorites : - general tsos chicken - young chow fried rice - pan fried dumplings - hot and sour soup read more

Great foos at great price. Delivery is fast as well. i suggest ordering large size because it is worth it.

Over priced for the quality of the food . Don't ruin ur night. Rude on the phone and was playing dumb when we asked for our free sodas .

The audacity of this place! They serve small baby chicken wings Give you a small portion of rice doesn't even fill carton Cheap with the pork on the pork-fried-rice And they are more expensive than the competitors around!? The audacity i say! Never again read more

Whenever I crave Chinese food this is definitely the go to place! My favorite menu items are the crab ragoons, chicken wings with French fries, and sesame chicken! The crab ragoons are crispy and it comes with a sweet and sour sauce that's just a perfect pair. The chicken wings and French fries crisp to perfection (love it with some duck sauce or ketchup). And, the sesame chicken just bomb. The staff there are amazing as well. Every time I come in they're always smiling and welcoming. read more

Best sesame chicken I've had in a long time, not over fried and just spicy enough, also they give you a decent amount of broccoli (other places they give you like 2 pieces). I ordered wanton soup for lunch today which was just wantons and salted water and a piece of hair. I went back in the women examined it like I was crazy but I can assure you it was not my hair for I am completely bald ... she did promptly give me another soup once she saw her hair in the container but unfortunately I had already lost my appetite not sure how they got the A for there sanitary rating I may add no one wearing hair nets but it is what it is read more

I don't think the bad reviews are for this restaurant, since there's another one closer to me with the same name and that one doesn't look too good, BUT this one!! This is literally THE BEST Chinese food my family has ever had. It's always fresh, super delicious, and good portions. Not only the food is great, but so is the family! They're all friendly (we might order more than we'd like to admit LOL). They always put extra food, treats, and even toys for my daughter!! We genuinely want to be friends with them. LOL. I could honestly keep going about how great they are. Just know you'll always get a great meal from the nicest people you could ever meet!! read more

Oh boy this place has gotten worse! The other night we ordered and it was gross! I got the spare rib tips and they were so fatty and not edible! My friend got pepper steak and said that the " steak" tasted funny! We will not be ordering from here ever again! read more

Every time we order ...they say 30 min ...winds up over an hour ...be great if they could get order right ...so done with this place!!!

We ordered general tso combo, sesame chicken combo, moo shu veggies, and shrimp with peanuts- basically kung pao, Szechuan wontons, and crab ragoons. Both fried chicken dishes were gross, spongy, bad quality meats, really gross. I mistakenly ordered the Szechuan wontons thinking they were the same you get in Chinatown, nope. It's a deep fried pork wonton with sauce that kind of reminds me of their general tso. They forgot the moo shu sauce, luckily I had some hoisin at home so it wasn't a problem. Also the delivery driver asked for his tip, we were going to give him one. But he was very blunt about it. The Kung pao and moo shu were the only good dishes. read more
