Complimentary Dessert: Sweet Fried Dough Balls

Love their combo platters! If you don't know what to order, get one of the combos numbered #1-6. There's bound to be something that you will like. You can get crispy breaded pork or chicken katsu, sweet & sour pork or chicken, chicken teriyaki, egg & vegetable fried rice or the house specialty, jjiajongmyeon. The jjiajongmyeun is a noodle dish with sweet & savory pork & onion sauce, similar to the Chinese dish. It's really dark in color, which is a little offputting, but once you mix it up and taste it, it's delicious. Combos come a bowl of fiery red spicy onion soup which includes a mussel and everybody gets kimchi, pickled onion & oshinko banchan. Each dish can also be ordered a la carte in bigger portions. The sweet & sour pork seems popular because a big plate piled high was brought to 3 neighboring tables. If you like dumplings the mandoo are really good, both steamed and fried. 2 fried mandoo come with each combo. Next time we'll have to try ordering a la carte. The spicy seafood noodle soup looks really tasty! At the end of the meal, everybody gets a small dish of fried dough balls drizzled in sweet syrup that was a great way to finish.

This place is currently my favorite place with my guilty pleasure: Spicy Jjajangmyeon and tang su yuk. My only warning about this place is that the potions are huge! Both the dishes ordered were shared between my friend and I and we still took these items to go in the end (happy leftovers). The Jjajangmyeon was perfectly spicy because the cheese helped cut through some of the spice and I usually like spicy food. The tang su yuk was crispy and paired perfectly with the Jjajangmyeon. I strongly believe that you cannot have Jjajangmyeon without pairing it with tang su yuk! You can choose to either dip the pork into the sauce or pour the sauce over the pork. I definitely prefer to dip the pork in the sauce to preserve as much crispiness as possible. Overall, the food was really good and I will be back when my next jjajangmyeon craving hits!

Local and cozy restaurant that is conveniently on northern blvd. I think the service was pretty good and quick to refill waters. The food was also pretty affordable and very filling. Great portion sizes and good for having large groups of people. I like the black bean noodle and the kimchi fried rice (not pictured) is pretty good!

Dark, gooey, mysterious, and a little intimidating. I'm talking about jjajangmyeon 자장면 (noodles with black bean sauce and minced pork), one of my go-to comfort foods that's slurpable, affordable, and is sure gonna fill you up. The noodles are super heavy (in weight), so you need strong hands and strong chopsticks in order to mix in the sauce well with the noodles. The sweet sauce is earthy with a hint of salt, while the noodles are a perfect texture with a slight chew. They're also super long, so you have to cut them with the scissors provided. The jjajangmyeon dish is filled with onions and bits of minced pork. It's extremely slurpable, really satisfying after all the prep work you have to do, and it goes down easily. & when you get the jjajangmyeon, you also have to order the tangsuyuk (sweet, sour, and crispy pork) - with the crunch, it's super satisfying to bite into, making it a very gratifying meal. There's a bunch of different versions of this fried pork - we got the chapssal tangsuyuk 찹쌀탕수육, which has pineapples and onions in the sauce. We usually order this iconic duo at Korean Noodle House, a low-key restaurant in Bayside, Queens that serves quality reasonably priced food. The portion sizes are generous and easily shareable, and the staff are nice and welcoming! Korean Noodle House (210-09 Northern Blvd, Bayside, NY 11361) Open daily 11am-9pm $10 jjajangmyeon 자장면 (black bean sauce noodles) $19 chapssal tangsuyuk 찹쌀탕수육 (fried pork with sweet & sour sauce)

Korean noodle house on Northern Boulevard is definitely a good find to try Chinese, Korean style dishes. The food was good and the service was also good. I just did not enjoy sitting in the back room. It's very dark with no windows. The style of the food is a mix of Chinese and Korean so not super authentic but a good flavor and most of the people eating at the restaurant or Korean so that's a very good sign. I recommended if you want to try something different.

We came back here and parked in the back, not busy on a Friday night at 6:30. New thing we tried was the chili shrimp, and it was disappointing. Much more of a ketchup sauce and the breading was too thick. I would avoid the shrimp dishes and stick with the mochi 탕수육 and black bean noodles.

Really enjoy their lunch / dinner combo. Love their proportion as well. They have decent service but it does get a little busy so be mindful of that.

We came to Korean Noodle House because I usually order Jjajangmyeon (noodle with black bean sauce and onions), Jjampong (noodles with spicy soup and seafood), and Tangsuyuk together, and they offer this combination in one dish for $17.99. However, we decided to order the jjajangmyeon and Tangsuyuk combo, and the Jjampong separately. This ended up being the better decision because we enjoyed the jjampong noodles the best. The broth had a mild spice, it was flavorful, and there was a good amount of seafood. The jjajangmyeon sauce was too mild, and the batter on the fried pork was too thick. There was not much meat and we didn't think it paired the best with sweet and sour sauce. I've had much better jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk elsewhere.

We decided to try Korean Noodle House in the hopes we could find a replacement for our usual favorite local ja jiang noodle spot that recently closed. The noodles were good but still not quite the same chewy bouncy texture we like and the sauce was a little on the bland side. The Soy Garlic chicken was a fun dish to try. Almost like a lighter version of Korean Fried chicken wings, but boneless. The batter was a bit thick but my son liked the flavor of the sauce. Fried mandoo was crispy and tasty. Will be back to try the sweet and sour chicken to get a better sense of other dishes. Service was efficient.

Pleasant lunch here today on a Sunday afternoon. My family and ordered some dishes that was family size and easily shareable. I recommend the fried rice, black bean seafood noodle dish (comes out on a hot stone plate), jjampong, and the Sweet and sour pork with glutinous rice. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant.

    Gan Ja Jang Myun ( / )

The noodles itself and the sauce was good for the ja jang myun but I paid extra for the one with pork and there was maybe 5 small pieces total of pork. There was also wayyyy more onion than there was sauce. Even after eating huge mouthfuls of onion in basically every bite, this is how much onion was still left over.

This is what I call, "The Trifecta". Sweet and Sour Pork, Jjajjang Myun and Jjam Bbong all in one bowl. :)

Korean Noodle House always exceeds my expectations. There's plenty of parking behind the restaurant, the staff are fast, attentive and friendly, the atmosphere is very pleasant and the food is always very delicious. I had Ja Jang Ddukbokki which is spicy rice cake with ja jang sauce and it was very delicious. I highly recommend Korean Noddle House whenever you are in the area! :)

Sometimes that craving for chewy noodles hits and you gotta cave to the craving. With these Korean-Chinese fusion restaurants, I can never decide between the savory spiciness of seafood champong or the smoothness of jjangmyun. Why not have both? Here you can with the split bowl! They also had a bunch of combo plates if you want a variety of choices on a plate! The food came out piping hot. The noodles were very good. My table also got chapsahl tangsuyook (switched pork to beef) and chili shrimp and chicken. I actually really liked everything. If I wanted to be super critical, this place had a tad more coating on the meat and was less meaty, but nonetheless still good! I took 2 orders to go (champong and a szhechuan jjang) and I did notice the dishes were quite oily, which I didn't notice as much in the restaurant (probably because the takeout soups settled and the oil floated to the top). I would give the food 3.5 stars but the service was attentive and even though we were there close to closing, they didn't make us feel rushed.

It definitely lived up to our memories, we ended up coming back twice in one week! Between our visits, we ordered the Dweji-Gomtang with extra pork, the Layoo Dweji-Gomtang with extra pork (spicy version), Kimchi Mandoo, Gabrisal Soyuk (pork collar meat), and the So-Bbol Gomtang (beef cheek, brisket, and tripe). Everything was delicious, but the standout for us was the pork collar meat. It was incredibly tender, flavorful, and an absolute must-order. The portions are just the right size, and the restaurant has a fast-casual feel, making it perfect for a quick meal without sacrificing quality. Our kids especially loved the original Dweji-Gomtang. After trying both versions, I personally prefer the original pork soup over the spicy Layoo version, although both were excellent. The complimentary kimchi deserves a special mention - it was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect accompaniment to the soups. The Kimchi Mandoo also had a nice spicy kick while still being packed with flavor. We noticed a lot of the guests were ordering the Lard Donkatsu, so that's definitely on our list for our next visit. Safe to say we'll be back again and again!

Like the pork, the beef was melt in your mouth tender. The beef consume was very light but full bodied. It may taste blander at the start, but it gets better with each sip. There were different cuts of beef (brisket, cheek, tripe) and can say I enjoy the beef soup over the pork option. We ordered a side of shrimp katsu which was so crispy and I was surprised to see whole shrimps! Their pork donkatsu was thick and also delightfully crispy with a side of pork soup and the right amount of banchan. I would come to this location again.

The menu is also very cute and I'm guessing handmade. It was pretty detailed and we appreciated learning about each dish before deciding what to order. We ended up ordering the Kimchi Pancake with seafood, the spicy bulkoki udon and the jeyuk udon. The kimchi seafood pancake was super crispy and filled with squid and shrimp! It also came with a semi sweet dipping sauce that paired nicely. Both udons came out piping hot and fresh! Udon had a nice chew to it, was loaded with vegetables as well as meat for each dish. The egg was fried and did not have a runny yolk. For sides, they gave us 4 things- a tomato salad, kimchi cucumbers, braised string beans, and bean sprouts. The tomato salad came in this cute apple shaped dish but neither of us really cared for it- this is completely biased though since we're not really fans of tomato. What we really did love was the kimchi cucumbers! Also at the end, they served us 3 pieces of cantaloupe which were very sweet. Overall, yummy food, cute shop, and friendly/nice staff!
