    Lamb Soup with Chinese Pancake
    Louise F.

A bowl of soup has never been so satisfying and filling. Along with the flaky aromatic flatbread it comes with, every bite is so full of flavor. Pair that with some food from other stalls and you've got as good a meal you can get anywhere if you want some good ol homey comfort food.

    Biangbiang noodles with cumin lamb

Xian Cuisines is in a large and busy food court of diverse Asian restaurants in New World Mall. There are many tables and places to choose food from here, so I recommend taking time to browse around. Note that this restaurant should not get mistaken with Xi'an Famous Foods, which has several locations across the city. I ordered the biangbiang noodles with cumin lamb. The food got served in about five minutes on a tray. This was my first time trying out this dish, and I really liked it. The longer noodles had just the right texture. I'd definitely want to try more variations of this dish. The lamb didn't taste too gamey, and it had the right amount of spiciness. It did taste a little too salty as I reached the bottom of the bowl, but overall, the dish tasted great. I'd recommend this restaurants if you want to try good noodle dishes in Flushing, Queens.

I think I stumbled upon liangpi, and it was delicious! I didn't have the best food court experience here with one of the stalls, so I was skeptical. But this place changed my mind. We did have a language barrier with the exasperated cashier person who was probably done with our ABC-ness, but we eventually got most of what we ordered. I just ordered the one with the thumbs up, the Deluxe with Spiced Beef ($10) and yes, it deserved that thumbs up! I wasn't expecting cold noodles to be this good, but the chewiness really pierces through with the help of the chilled temperature. It was too spicy for my spice tolerance, but it definitely won't hit the same if you adjusted the spice. I'll try the QQ next time, since that sounds pretty interesting.

First off, the New World Food Court is amazing! There's plenty of options, way too many that we'll be back to try every single place! Ordered the QQ Noodle and steamed chicken from Xian noodles and it didn't disappoint. I was hesitating at first because the options all sounded good but decided to just pick this on a whim. It was so good that I forgot to snap a picture prior to eating! This cold noodle dish is what I'm going to be looking for any time I look for noodles. The chicken was tender and juicy; coupled with the spicy and tangy chili sauce, it was absolutely perfect. The noodles were handmade, hand pulled, and really chewy. The noodles absorbed the sauce well and texturally, complemented the chicken! I definitely recommend!

Ordered the Deluxe w Chicken ($10): I did not expect the dish to be served cold. I loved the chili oil which wasn't too spicy for me. It's topped with a few slices of cucumber. The dish was primarily noodles with a small helping of chicken. Would I go back again?

So much raw onions! This is supposed to be a lamb burger.

Ordered a lamb burger they might as well call it an onion burger. 90% onion maybe ate 3 pieces of actual lamb.

Good classic QQ noodles, served pre-packed to go, but not sacrificing texture. Known for Xian sandwiches. Somewhat limited vegetarian options.

Came across this spot when I was originally looking for a different spot on the Fantuan delivery app. I ended up ordering the biang biang noodles with cumin lamb (5/5) and traditional Flushing QQ noodles (4.5/5). The initial visuals of the delivery were underwhelming, it looked a little dry and bland, but was I wrong! The food quite good--the cumin lamb one really shined in flavor and was great even for someone like me who cannot handle spice! The noodles for both were chewy and filling and there was a decent amount of meat for the cumin one lamb. I would say the dish I had here beats the Xian famous food ones I've had in the city. Hope to stop by their shop in person at some point!

My son wanted beef noodle soup, so he got beef noodle soup from here! The broth was rich and delicious. The noodles!!!!! Love love love! Thick and chewy! It was delicious and different! Must try! The beef burger was delicious! Generously filled with cumin beef and the pastry was soooo flaky and fresh! It's a great combo! The kids loved! The beef burger is a tad spicy, but my kid still enjoyed it!!!

I ordered the cured pork with garlic shoots and dry fried green beans. The cured pork was quite salty, and paired well with the buttery, tender leeks it was cooked with. The dish was not overly oily, and was pleasant over white rice. I enjoyed the chewiness of the pork which allowed you to experience the complex flavor. The green beans were well fried, with characteristic texture signature to this dish. The seasoning was very well balanced and not overpowering to the natural sweetness of the green beans. I would recommend either dish. They were both slightly toned down iterations when compared to the times I've eaten these dishes at other Sichuan restaurants in flushing, but still well seasoned and well cooked. The service was very warm and friendly, and many other customers seemed to be returning regulars.

Warning to all with a pineapple allergy like me: do not eat the duck sauce. If you like spicy ask for hot mustard instead. Orange chicken was crispy and flavorful. I did not find it spicy, but my spice tolerance is very high. My fiance had the chicken with broccoli and it looked amazing. Try the cold noodles. They are chewy and delicious. For me the fried dumplings were good, but not great. Worth a try but nothing to rave over.

I went here for a group gathering/lunch and lemme tell you guys this place is so good. The noodles were crispy and fresh. Eggplant was spicy but not too spicy in fact it was very crispy and pretty ok and I take dumplings very serious and lemme say they're good but a bit salty and soft. This was relatively satisfying experience a bit on the expensive side but the staff are incredibly nice always checking on us to see if we needed anything else or wanted for food and tea. Great staff and the ambiance is relatively relaxing very interesting. BUT BUT BUT HALT the downside is a bit too much MSG in the food Haiyahh!!!. My mouth felt dry after and was very thirsty but overall still decent. But I may have to reconsider going there again tho...

After walking around for 30 minutes...looking at chicken - American, Korean; burgers -premium, non-premium; sushi; and ramen nothing was appealing to me. After asking if the restaurant accepts credit card, they said yes. If they didn't, I would have had to find a bank and probably left since I didn't want to walk anymore. They gave me a cold glass of water, which I quickly drank since I didn't know I was dehydrated. She refilled my glass while I perused the menu. Thank you so much! Finally saw beef and tomato broth which would be great for a cold day. Ordered and it came very quickly. This hit the spot without me knowing that this is what I wanted. Warm, cozy, meat vegetable and noodles... the pretext meal. Thank you for the wonderful meal. Always great food especially when you don't know what you want to eat sometimes.

But when you don't have the luxury of a car and you don't want to pay 40 dollars on UberEats for good Chinese food, you'll be convinced to try your luck in the area. Not gonna lie, I chose Dumpling House because it was the closest Chinese food near me, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The women who greeted me at the counter was friendly and took my order: one large hot and sour soup and a small house special fried rice. I wouldn't recommend coming on a hot day because the shop can be hot if you're waiting for takeout, but the wait wasn't too long. After about 15 to 20 minutes, I was walking home with $11 dollar takeout. The hot and sour soup is pretty good and I've had a lot of hot and sour soup in my life. The consistency is not too thin or thick and the flavor is balanced (not too sweet or sour). For 5 dollars, I think it's a steal. The house special rice is good and not too greasy. For some reason, it still tasted Americanized even with the Asian ingredients I was used to. There was some chicken, barbecue pork, mixed veggies, egg, etc. and the ingredients mixed well despite it tasting American. Even though I got a small rice, I still had some leftover to eat the next day. Despite my obviously biased Asian tastebuds, I was very happy with what I got and I will definitely be back for some more hot and sour soup!

This business is a local cafe, not quite a restaurant but very Asian specifically a medley of Chinese dumplings and heavy Japanese decor atmosphere. I was very bewildered of this dumpling business is Japanese or Chinese cuisine, or possibly both incorporated? Asian fusion? Japanese beckoning cat, maneki-neko 招き猫, is heavy presence for decor atmosphere throughout the entire cafe. There is one large Japanese beckoning cat with one paw raised in a beckoning gesture by the cash wrap register. This beckoning cat is adorable! The menu is very simple offerings but does not describe the contents in detail. It is not a extensive list as it is a cafe. The server/cashier advise to order first, sit to eat and pay last like a full service restaurant. This business has been listed in my Yelp bookmark to try for a long time. The slightly warm temperature has teased me to induce Spring Fever as the first full day post Daylight Saving Time, 2026 and I was outdoors for walk as exercise. Sauces and condiments are available at a station counter. There is one large TV. Background music is somewhat loud audible and sourced by Spotify. Customer service is average. There is one unisex facility on the premise and is relatively clean. There is a small parking lot in the front shared with neighboring businesses. This business is located in a small shopping complex named Metro Plaza. Chicken dumpling noodle soup, $12.00 The dumplings were pan seared fried, unfortunately not traditionally boiled especially for noodle soup. The dumplings are average. The noodles were rice vermicelli with half boiled egg and scallions in Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen soup base broth. The Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen soup base broth and half boiled egg is a replica of Japanese Ramen noodle soup. It was served piping hot. Chinese soup spoon Tangzhi ladle where the end is at a angle is provided with one disposable wooden chopstick as utensils. Jasmine Tea, cold $1.50 This was awful! It was one tea bag filled with ice. I did not taste the Jasmine aromatic flavor. Stay away from ordering any drink as Song Dumpling Cafe is good for dumplings. It is certainly no bubble tea business to obtain quality Chinese tea. After my MTA NYC Transit SBS Q52 bus ride, I walked from Woodhaven Boulevard moving east on Metropolitan Avenue to gain access.
