I ordered the first item on the menu which is the handpulled noodles with beef for $11. Cash only. The broth is very weak. Not much flavor at all. But the noodles are very bouncy and have good texture. Noodles were 10/10 but if only if the broth was stronger and need to be more flavorful. The beef and vegetables were good. Bok choy had a nice crunch to it. I think dun Huang is still the best lanzhou beef noodle soup in NY.

The broth was just okay but the noodles were quite good! I wish they added more meat. They're pretty quick on service.

One of the more popular stalls at the New World Mall Food Court. If I were to be fully honest, the beef soup was a bit bland. The unlimited chili oil and Chinese picked cabbage by the counter sure helps! Knife sliced noodles were great and had the perfect texture. Overall still a good beef noodle soup that tastes like something you'd get from China. Will definitely come back to try other dishes.

Really good and fast hand pull beef noodle soup. Noodles are really good and the service was really fast. Lots of people in this food court and overall a really good spot. They've been here for a long time too. I would avoid the chili oil on the side though because that ruin the soup and dish for me

I thought their beef noodle soup was solid. Extremely generous with the noodles and protein. Would've liked more bok choy though! The broth tasted pretty standard... needed a decent amount of chili oil to enhance the flavors. I think I would've enjoyed this dish more if the noodles were thicker as well... but that's just a personal preference! Very affordable though!

Local places with hand pull noodles always draw me in, but this one was pretty mid. Located in New World Mall, you can't miss this spot. I think it was the only one serving these noodles, with people constantly ordering here. Bring your own water, as they don't offer that here. Cash only. The Beef Noodle Soup ($10) lacked flavor for me, that I had to dunk in lots of chili oil. But even then, the broth didn't give off the flavor one would have when tons of beef slices were submerged in. The noodles were clumped in, thinner than what I would have liked, but handmade alright! I wish they gave a tad more veggies to balance the meat veggie ratio. I feel like there's better elsewhere!

The house special noodle soup is tasty. The amount of food fed 2 people. It's located in the food court in the New World Mall. Food is served in front of you, and service is quick. There are plenty of tables in the food court.

Absolutely huge and delicious portions that make it a nice meal. It is cash only though, but 2 bowls of the beef noodle soup will run exactly $20 with tax. Bring your own water or expect to buy some if you get thirsty because this one doesn't have self service water. There is, however, self service chili oil and pickled vegetables. Picking up your order is a bit chaotic since they just try to yell numbers but it's pretty loud down th Beef noodle soup ($10) - broth has such a strong flavor that brings so much depth to the soup. Decent amount of meat and the noodles were perfectly chewy.

This stand in the basement of the New World Mall serves up a big bowl of noodles for really cheap. Be sure to pay in cash, and adding an egg to the bowl costs just an extra $1. I got the beef tendon noodle with egg. The time between when I ordered and when I received my food was merely 3 minutes - the time it takes for the fresh noodles to cook in the soup. Food is good, but not particularly special. The portion sizes are big, and the draw is that the cost is low (less than $15) for pretty much all items on the menu.

The service is kind of lacking. We ordered two noodles and one of the noodle arrived more than 15 mins after the other. The food is amazing and the cold chicken noodle is a dish I didn't expect to be this good. It's nice that you can chose the thickness of your noodle. Tried one of their bun with meat before and that one was kind of lacking. It's just like any casual chinese restaurant with no extra bell and whistle. So a good place to chat and eat with your friends.

This hand pull noodle shack is located in the New World food court. We ordered the seafood noodle soup for $10.50, tax included. There was plenty of seafood in the mild but satisfying broth. What made this soup special was the hand pulled noodle. The noodle was perfectly chewy and there was plenty of it. The only disappointment was the rude lady that took our order.

Located in the food court(basement) of new world mall. Super filling and delicious noodle soups for ~$10. My fave is the beef noodle soup(#1). Service is fast and it's a filling portion. Great for a quick meal on a cold day.

A great bowl of noodles for a fair price. What more could you ask for? I always go to New World Mall to get my noodle fix. Lan Zhou handmade noodles are delicious to eat and really fun to watch them make. They are booth #15 near Gong Cha and Tea Baar. The lady who takes orders in the front is super loud and can handle so many orders so quickly! The food is prepared fresh. Within 5 minutes, you have a hot bowl of hand pulled noodles in front of you. I always either get the wonton noodles ($6.50) or the beef noodles (~$8.50). I prefer the beef because wonton noodles are better with the yellow noodles. I also saw someone who ordered their yellow fried noodles with thick sauce and beef. It looked SO good. There is a huge bucket of chilli oil for you to take as much as you need as well as pickled vegetables. Need to try all of their menu items here!

This is Hong Kong style done right, and in Flushing you're getting the real thing at prices that genuinely rival what you'd pay in China. We lucked into a nice day and grabbed a seat outside. Service was fast and furious, which is exactly what you should expect and honestly want from a spot like this. You're not here for a leisurely dining experience, you're here to eat something delicious and get on with your day. My one gripe, and it applies to the whole surrounding area and not just Maxi's: there are basically no bathrooms to be found. Plan accordingly before you commit to a big bowl of soup. Cheap, tasty, authentic. Everything a Flushing noodle spot should be.

We walked into a casual space that fit the style of food, with the main focus being on freshly made noodles, flavorful broths, and hearty dishes. The dining room had a practical, no-fuss energy with a steady flow of customers coming in for a warm bowl, and the open kitchen gave us a view of the noodle pulling process that added a layer of engagement to the meal. The Lanzhou beef noodle soup is the main highlight and the dish that defines the restaurant. We ordered a bowl and found the broth with a rich, savory flavor and a good balance of spices, while the hand-pulled noodles had a satisfying texture that made each bite enjoyable. The thin slices of beef added another layer to the dish, and the chili oil gave the soup extra depth without overpowering the original flavors of the broth. Beyond the noodles, the lamb skewers were another standout item, the meat tender and well seasoned with a smoky grilled flavor that paired nicely with the noodle dishes. The menu also included other options like braised beef noodles and lamb dishes, giving us a few different ways to experience the flavors of Lanzhou cuisine. Service was polite and the overall experience felt relaxed. The restaurant has a straightforward setup, making it a good option for a casual meal, and the ability to customize the meal depending on whether we wanted something lighter or more filling made it easy to adjust the order to our preferences. The staff moved through orders with efficiency, and the food came out hot and well assembled. Overall, DunHuang Lanzhou Beef Noodle is a solid spot for anyone craving authentic Chinese beef noodle soup. The combination of flavorful broth, freshly made noodles, and well-prepared meat dishes makes it worth visiting. It is a simple concept done well, and a place we would return to when looking for a comforting bowl of handmade noodles.

There's condiments on the table so you can adjust the soup to your liking. The soup itself is light but complex, with a rich lamb broth that doesn't have any gaminess. A lot of Chinese folks like it the way it is but for American tastes, I think it would come off as slightly bland. I like to have a few sips adding only salt and white pepper to appreciate the original taste. Then I doctor it up with black vinegar, even more white pepper and their chili which is actually spicy. It becomes addictively delicious. The wide hand pulled noodles which they stretch and cook to order has the perfect bite and chew.
