    Lamb soup noodle

I had the noodle in a rainy day. It is a good comfort food to warm up the cold from the out door rain. The restaurant gave a lot of meat and the soup is warm and hearty. The noodle soup can be spicy and I order mild which was just right. The restaurant is not busy and allow people to sit for hours. The girl in the next table sitting by herself watch a whole TV drama there.

Service: Fair Quantity: Good Cleanliness: Good Food: Ribs and noodles $8 I walked by this location daily and decided to give it a try. Small with around 15 seatings available. A bit tough to choose from the menu due to limited lunch options and a bit pricey to order individual dishes. Shy server, should interact with the customer more. I saw the new special noodle soup written on the board for $8, Yay! It was within my lunch budget and I had to try it. Perfectly cooked al dente noodles and tender marinated ribs. I can't ask for more. I hope they can provide more lunch options, and I will return to try their cold noodles in the summer.

Friends suggested this is a pretty good to try some Sichuan kinda of food.Been there around 1am and there are very few people so it dint get hard to grab a table. The noodles themselves were strangely salty

Came here because I'm been trying to taste some lamb noodle soups that aren't from Lamb Noodle Soup at Golden Mall. The result? Just stick with Lamb Noodle Soup at Golden Mall. The lamb broth was definitely not as deep, rich, or complex as Lamb Noodle Soup. It was passable, but only had a very mild lamb flavor and seemed a bit watery. I added some hot oil, which helped, but the hot oil container was really greasy on the outside and the top was full of crusty, caked-on chili. Now, I'm not one to shy away from a hole in the wall, but usually the turnover is enough that this does not happen. I feel like those hot oil containers have never been cleaned, just refilled over and over, so I only used a minimal amount before realizing it was a bit more unsanitary than I'd like. Yes, I eat all over Flushing and in the illegal hawker stalls in Taiwan, but this hot oil container defeated me. The lamb itself was really dry, tough, and lacked flavor. I ended up leaving most of the lamb behind. I love handmade noodles, but Miss Li ended up being the one time I disliked the noodles in my soup. They were fresh biang biang noodles, but they were a bit overcooked so were a bit soft for my taste. The major problem, though, was that some of the noodles were super super salty. As if when they made the noodle dough, they did not mix the salt in evenly so it all ended up on a bit of my noodles. Or they salted the noodles while cooking and the salt all landed on a single exposed noodle. In any case, although I finished them, they were far from tasty. Overall, just a pretty bad experience. Nothing close to Lamb Noodle Soup (or New World Mall stall #28, Lamb Noodle Soup's sister location).

Great Authentic little hole in the wall szechuan food. The food is average but I definitely want to come back and try the other items on their menu.

    Toothpick Chicken

Fried rice with eggs: 5/5 just simply delicious!! Toothpick chicken: 1/5 dry, bland, no taste Chicken gizzard: 1/5 tiny pieces of gizzard, too sour for me Overall, Definitely would come back just for the eggs fried rice!

    YuxiangRouSi

During lunch time I went into a Hunan cuisine restaurant. I ordered a lunch special "YuxiangRouSi". It is basically sliced pork, diced carrot, pepper, mushroom with garlic sauce on rice. Garlic sauce was medium spiciness. It was delicious. Service here was average, only a cashier that takes care of 8 table service. For $8 dollar lunch special, price was good. Atmosphere is modern with Chinese-drawing on wall. There was a much special sign standing on top of boxes of vegetable delivery. Odd

We ate too quick. Then decided Midway it was good enough for a photo. Sour beef and shallots and bacon like pork

The spicy noodle was really good. It is a spicy dish with no soup. The price is reasonable and the service was fast.

The noodles were incredibly bouncy and had an amazing mouth feel. The broth was rich and bursting with flavor. I'm allergic to shrimp and got the vegetable broth with beef and was worried about that flavor but it was so amazing I plan to become a regular. My husband enjoyed the traditional shrimp wonton soup and he said it was delicious!! Small inside dining area but on a weekday we had no wait. Maxi's Noodle is a Hong Kong-style noodle shop that focuses on wonton noodles, beef brisket dishes,…read morefish balls, and comforting soup-based meals. We walked into a casual, local space with a straightforward setup that works well for a simple meal rather than a long dining experience. The seating is limited, and the use of paperware even for dine-in orders gives the restaurant a practical, neighborhood feel, the kind of place where the focus stays on the food rather than the atmosphere. The biggest highlight is the wonton noodle soup. The shrimp wontons are larger than the typical Hong Kong-style wontons and are packed with shrimp flavor, giving the dish a more filling feel. The noodles have a good texture with a slight chew, and the broth provides a light but comforting base that ties everything together without overwhelming the other components. The beef options are also worth trying, especially the braised beef and brisket, which add a richer, more savory flavor to the noodles. Beyond noodles, the menu has a variety of classic Hong Kong-style sides and add-ons. The curry fish balls and fried fish skin are popular choices that add different textures to the meal, while the Hong Kong milk tea works well as a drink pairing, with a smooth, slightly bitter profile that cuts through the richness of the food. There are also vegetarian options available, giving the menu more flexibility for different preferences. Service is generally quick and efficient, and the portions are filling for the price. The restaurant can feel busy during peak hours due to the limited seating, but the turnover is fast enough that the wait does not feel excessive. The presentation is simple and functional, and the overall experience feels rooted in the kind of quick, satisfying meal that Hong Kong-style noodle shops are known for. Maxi's Noodle is a solid place for Hong Kong-style comfort food, especially if you are craving wonton noodles. The large shrimp wontons, chewy noodles, and affordable portions make it a worthwhile stop, offering a meal that feels both familiar and satisfying without any unnecessary fuss. It may not be the most polished dining experience, but it delivers exactly what it promises: a simple, comforting bowl of noodles done right.

You order on iPad at the table, and the staff is available if you have any questions. When you confirm your order on the iPad, they will confirm with you. Service is friendly and helpful. The food came out quick! Their kitchen is in the basement and they have the dumb waiter sending up food, so very efficient use of space. The Dumplings in Chili Oil (can adjust spice level and cilantro) has added texture with crushed peanuts. We got the regular spicy, but could have gotten extra spicy. They were a decent appetizer but I'd go for something else. The Abalone and Chicken Rice Noodles had decent chicken flavor. There were a couple pieces of dark meat, which I enjoyed. Not sure if there was abalone in here, but if there was, it was nondescript. The rice noodles were well cooked. The Plum Juice had a lovely smokey flavor, along with a lemony flavor form the couple of lemon slices inside. It was not too sweet, though I personally could go for less sugar. Overall, a decent spot for rice noodles. They do have multiple locations, so go to the one near you! No need to go out of your way.

I've brought friends here because I've always enjoyed their dishes. There also aren't many noodle restaurants left in the neighborhood, so it's nice to have a spot like this. It's a great place to visit on a cold day. The restaurant itself is a decent size. It can get busy in the evenings, but for the most part, you can still find a table. The portions are quite generous, and the service is good. There's minimal interaction with the staff since you place your order through a tablet provided at the table. Be mindful if you have peanut allergies definitely let them know so they don't sprinkle peanut on certain dishes. Overall, this is a great place to get a warm noodle soups during Winter season.

Luckily, there was only a short wait for our party of two at around 12pm...but I suspect the wait can be much longer later in the afternoon or during peak dinner times. Once your number is called, you go up some stairs to the eating/tabled area. There are tables and chairs for 2, 4 and more guests throughout the large space. The pace of the restaurant is very fast...as soon as you are seated, you are given tea and your waiter comes over right away to take any order you are ready to give. Its helpful to ask for a menu while you are waiting for a table so you know what to order when asked. We had some soup dumplings as well as a (large) soup. Everything was very good and out in about 15 minutes...very fast. The soup dumplings were great...but as expected are filled with piping hot broth so be careful when eating. They have some other appetizers and dishes available. There are also some drink options including cold teas, soft drinks and beer. Overall a great experience...despite visiting on a busy Saturday, we were in and out in about 40-45 minutes. Street parking can be tough in the area but there are a few garages around...one of the more reasonable options is the garage at the Skyview shops which currently charge about $6 for up to three (3) hours and is a short 5 minute walk away.
