Authentic food, fast service, beautiful ambiance. There was some dinging noise that kept happening, otherwise experience was great.

I've been seeing this spot pop up on my Instagram feed, so I decided to check them out. It is a Sichuan restaurant, but what makes them unique is their Tang Dynasty style dining experience where they play traditional music, have dance performances, and theatrical storytelling during your dining experience. You can even get dressed in Hanfu attire while enjoying your dining experience. Rentals is $10 for just the costume. Definitely a hot spot to take a lot of photos for Instagram. I saw Choudoufu (Stinky Tofu) ($16) was on the menu and immediately had to get my hands on it. I loved it when I had it in Taipei and this tastes pretty much just like it, maybe even better. The other appetizer we ordered was the Chongqing Spicy Chicken ($23) and it's spicy spicy. Be warned. I personally loved it and its fried well. Our veggie dish is the Plain Stir-fried Pea Shoots ($19), which is our go-to. Never a fail in my mind. If you need a rice dish, Shrimp and Egg Fried Rice ($14) is pretty good. However, all of the shrimp is pretty much placed on top (see photo). We went digging through the rice and there were no other shrimp. Our entree was the Golden Broth Sauerkraut Fish ($33), which they use Snakehead Fish and not Tilapia. We got this mild, which was perfect for us as it's the summer now and one spicy dish was plenty. The food was so good; I loved the fried rice, glass noodles, tofu egg, cabbage, and cauliflower. The crayfish was pretty mala, along with the fish sauerkraut. They had some cool performances going on the first floor and the basement (where we dined). But I wouldn't go just for the performances. The basement level has private spaces for large groups, that are interestingly set up Japanese style, where you take your shoes off in the room because of the tatami mat. The tatami mat is also raised, where your seats are level with it, and then your legs go into an indent in the mat when you sit at the table. It makes it slightly hard to get up and out. I've dined at Chuan Bistro on two separate occasions with a medium to large group for dinner. The first time we had ordered a variety of dishes such as string beans, dandan noodles, spicy fish hot pot, ribs, eggplant and mapo tofu. The eggplant dish was ordered as super spicy but came out without any spice at all. We sent it back and it still came back out with very little spice. The fish and string beans were okay, but my favorite thing was the mapo tofu. It was the spiciest dish and the most flavorful. The 2nd time I went, I tried the chongqing spicy chicken, crispy pepper beef, lamb skewers, salted egg fried shrimp, fish fillet in picked vegetable soup, and sweet and sour pork. My favorites were the lamb skewers and the fish fillet in picked vegetables soup. The salted egg fried shrimp was certainly unique but failed in execution as the shrimp was not deep fried enough to be crispy. None of the dishes really wowed me on both occasions. The main attraction for Chuan bistro is their nightly entertainment, which features traditional Chinese dancers. Diners can also opt to dress up in hanfu for $10 per person. This was not disclosed to us when I went the first time. While it was nice to feel immersed in the ambiance and watch the dancers, I don't think I would recommend this restaurant for food as the it is not the main focus here. We came here for an early dinner and booked out one of their private rooms. Food was fantastic and although we were in private rooms we still received amazing service. There's also karaoke in each room, but it's a bit hard to navigate in English. My family told me later they do have performances and drums. read more

Came with a group of 9, so we were able to try a variety of dishes (they have an extensive menu!) We were seated by the entrance, as it seemed to be the only table big enough for such a large group. They have the option to rent a hanfu and get your makeup and hair done, and while our group did not, there were a few people who did, including a couple of kids. The dancers do interact with people who are dressed up and/or taking videos. We tried: - Chongqing Spicy Chicken: lots of chicken and dried red chili peppers! The chicken was cooked well. - Golden Rice Crispy Chili Beef x2 (we could have gotten only 1 since the portion was generous!): I enjoyed the texture of the crispy golden rice with the beef! Great flavor addition to the dish as well. - Mapo Tofu: pretty standard version of this dish. I definitely recommend at least extra spicy for this dish, as it wasn't too spicy at this level. - Salted Egg Shrimp: could use more salted egg flavor. The shrimps were meaty and had a good crunch though! Definitely have to like eating the shell to make this dish worth getting. - Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet: classic sweet and sour flavors. However, the fish fillet were on the thin side, so some pieces were more coating than fish. It could have been any protein inside and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. - Sauerkraut Fish Soup: good balance of ingredients. I enjoyed the sauerkraut flavor a hit of spiciness! The fish was flaky and in nice big chunks! - Lamb Skewer: very tender and flavorful! If we didn't have so much food, I would have ordered more! We didn't think to order a vegetable dish, so everything was a bit heavy at the end. Will have to try their vegetable dishes next time. I also got a Guang's Pineapple Beer Drink (non-alcoholic - it is a malted drink). Overall, the dishes are pretty standard. Also, definitely up the spiciness (or enjoy the not so spiciness). 05/15 I am so honored to be included in UYE's. It gives way to opportunity to try things outside of yelp events and experiences. About 7 of use came to Chuan Bistro to dine. The place is beautiful and it provides an upstairs view looking down as well as a main floor setting. The food was pretty good, I have no complaints. The service was friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed the soup it was very tasty. I kind of don't remember the names of the other food and that's on me. I made a reservation for 7 people to celebrate my birthday on June 6th with my friends. I sent an email and I called to specify I would like to sit close to the stage to be able to see the show which starts at 7pm. I arrived around 6:30pm. When I arrived the hostess told me I had a group ahead of me which I didn't see. She said, because it's a weekend all 3 levels will have a show featured. There is the main floor, the second floor balcony, and lower floor. We followed the waitress to the lower floor and was given a room for large groups, it is secluded but felt like VIP. We were given a tablet to order from which then we send to the kitchen. My friends and I opted for the dresses and were led upstairs to choose. We finally settled down and started with our orders. The waitress seemed tired and off. I noticed a box sitting on the wall for music and my friend recognized it as a koreoke set up. When we asked the waitress she said, it wasn't working. So Immediately I'm thinking why they gave us a room with a non-working kareoke set-up when all the other rooms were empty when we got there. Also my friend mentioned we weren't supposed to step on the mat around the table with our shoes on; we noticed some sandals in the corner but, the waitress never mentioned anything. I'm not sure if that was a big deal to them or not. I don't want to assume things in certain situations and jump the gun to play the race card, but it definitely was given preferential treatment to the other guest. But anyway the dancer finally came around 8:30/9 ish and she danced for a whole 2min then proceeded to the other rooms who had kreoke and were jamming out. The food was good. We had the cabbage, spicy chicken, lamb chops, rib tips, spicy shrimp, cold beef slices, and shrimp fried rice. We all agreed the cabbage and rice stole the show lol. Although I did enjoy the Rib Tips. For drinks we ordered a bottle of sake and couple of bottles of soju. I won't say I had a terrible time because, i enjoyed my friends company. despite hearing the show going on upstairs and having to listen to the others kareoke, I enjoyed my birthday. Staff took pictures for us upstairs. We all looked great. My friends enjoyed it and we will definitely go back to try the exotic dishes on the menu. Chuan Bistro offers a really cool theatrical experience with hanfu and live performances. Just a heads up on the timing: the live shows only run from 7PM to 9PM daily, consisting of a 3-4 min performance roughly every 40 min. It's definitely worth coming during that window to see it! A massive bonus is that they let you customize your dishes with options for less spice, less salt, or less oil, which is amazing for Sichuan food. Yangzhou Fried Rice (5/5): Fantastic fried rice. We opted for the "less oil" option, and it came out still very delicious and feeling healthier Pea Shoots (5/5): amazing veggie dish! Super fresh and cooked just right Lamb Chops (4.25/5): Really solid. They had a nice, subtle crisp to them and weren't gamey at all. Thanks to my Yelp Elite friend Andie for arranging a UYE here. What a fun environment that gives diners the opportunity to rent Hanfu clothing! Hanfu is the traditional clothing of the Han ethnic group. Google says that they are the largest ethnic group in the world; and that they originated in the central plains of Northern China. Every dish that Andie ordered for our table was a visual feast, but the lamb skewer was the standout. It was packed with flavors that blended beautifully. Our server was excellent because she was attentive and quick. Every order was placed on the table 1-2-3. The ambiance was authentic, and the dance performance was incredible. Please watch the video below of one of the dancers leading a child in a dance. If I ever return, I might eat some Dry Pot Ox Penis (see the menu). Really fun immersive dinner experience. You can pay $10 pp to dress up in traditional hanfu (+ more if you want makeup and hair) and can eat and take pictures with the outfit (no time limit). The male outfits are more limited but still cute. Approximately every hour it seems they have performances in the evening (ours happened at 7:15) and the dancers tend to go to each table (on the first floor) which felt very engaging. However, that's all this restaurant really offers since the cuisine is average at best. The best dishes I have tried so far include the Grilled Oyster (8/10, tender and tasty), Braised String Beans & Eggplant (7.5/10, great but greasy), Preserved Vegetable Twice Cooked Pork (7/10, too greasy again), Pine and Nut Corn (7/10, simple but good). The Couple's Delight (6/10) was average, but was definitely a bit too chewy in texture and lacked that punch of flavor from a Szechuan dish. What didn't work for me includes the Sauerkraut Duck Blood (5/10, sauce was terrible), Crispy Salted Fish Fillet (4/10, to much batter), and Garlic Braised Beef Tendon (3/10, tendon was tough while sauce was flavorless). As for the performances, they start at 7:00pm daily, but not really every 30 minutes as advertised. They are more hourly, at least on my two visits so far. What we saw were short 3-4 minutes long traditional dance performed by a lady dressed in hanfu. What we watched was nice, but it really is just a gimmick. If they only have dancers and other performers stay around doing their thing for maybe 15-20 minutes every hour, then I would think it's worth eating some mediocre food to enjoy the view. read more

Went in with a group of friends and were surprised to find the place quite empty on a Sunday afternoon. Service was quick and attentive, which we really appreciated. The decor stood out--beautiful traditional elements that created a warm and authentic atmosphere. That said, it would have been a nice touch if the dining utensils matched the traditional setting to complete the experience. The food arrived slightly cold for our taste, and while it was decent, it didn't feel particularly special considering the price. Presentation could also use some improvement. I came to Chuan Bistro on a Saturday night and it was such a fun experience--definitely more than just a meal. Food highlights: The dry hot pot cabbage sounds super simple, but don't skip it. It was packed with flavor, tasted clean/healthy, and somehow became the one veggie dish my kids devoured. The lamb skewers were a huge hit--big portions, juicy, and so flavorful we ended up reordering twice. Sweet and sour fish fillet was another winner. Big portion, great for sharing, and really tasty. Yangzhou fried rice was massive--we couldn't even finish it. Loved how generous they were with the shrimp. Cordyceps flower chicken soup had a super rich, comforting broth and tender chicken, though I do wish there was a bit more meat. Mixed / miss: Dan dan noodles had great noodle texture, but the flavor balance was off--too much peanut topping and not enough chili oil, so it leaned overly nutty. Chicken skewers were the only real letdown. Every adult at our table thought the texture and taste were off--very gamey and didn't quite taste like chicken. Dessert (surprisingly a highlight!): The fermented rice glutinous balls came warm in a slightly acquired-taste syrup, but once you bite into the balls and taste the black sesame filling, it completely changes the dish--so good and my favorite of the night. The ice jelly was also amazing--light, refreshing, perfectly sweet, with toppings like haw flakes, beans, and dried fruits that all worked really well together. Atmosphere: The live performances were beautiful. The dancers in hanfu were elegant and graceful, performing from around 7-9 PM and even walking through both floors of the restaurant. It really adds to the whole experience. I was offered basement seating (private rooms), but I chose to wait for the main dining area specifically for the performances--worth it. Tip: Make reservations well in advance. Even with a waitlist, the wait can be long. Overall, a memorable night with great food, generous portions, and a unique dining atmosphere. I have mixed feelings about this place. Pro: the food was genuinely great. We tried the blood tofu with pork intestines and the Yu-Shiang eggplant, and the flavors of both dishes were on point! Con: the portions were on the smaller side, but most importantly, the service left a lot to be desired. During our meal, a group was taking photos on the center stage as we came during the midday when there were no performances, and it felt quite distracting. When we asked one server for a bowl of rice, we were told none was available and were instead encouraged to order fried rice. However, when we checked with another server later, we were told that plain rice was in fact available. Also, despite the place being nearly empty, the service was slow. We ordered quite a few dishes but not all pictured below. The veggies were very good, probably the most well made one I've had. The shredded potatoes were good as well. Someone in our party had said it was too sour but I found it perfect. The salted egg tofu was not worth it - I'd recommend skipping this dish. We also ordered the beef skewers which were good well made and seasoned just enough. The size was also pretty large, but at $5 a skewer it's a reasonable size. We also ordered a pickled shredded pork dish and it was a tad too sour for me, so this dish probably isn't for everyone. We also ordered a vermicelli noodle with pork and it was actually very good but heavily seasoned. It's not for everyone, but I truly enjoyed this dish. This was my first time at Chuan Bistro and it will definitely not be my last. The ambiance, hospitality, service, and food were all amazing! Chuan Bistro serves authentic Sichuan cuisine in the heart of Flushing. I had made a reservation for Monday, March 23rd at 6:00pm through their website that brings you to minitable. We were seated on the ground floor. The menu offers the bold, fiery flavors of Chengdu -- the signature málà taste that numbs and delights, but many dishes offer customization of spicy levels. We used the iPad to order and the waiter verbally confirmed our order. The menu on the iPad is in English and in Chinese. We ordered the Mapo Tofu (medium spicy), Stir-Fried Pea Shoots, Cumin Beef (mildly spicy), Shrimp and Egg Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Fish Fillets, Wanglaoji, and Peach Soju. All the drinks and food didn't take long at all to come out. Every dish was delicious and we couldn't stop eating since the first bite. Everything was flavored really well and luscious, it definitely hit the spot. About 7:15pm, there was a dance performance at the central stage. All the tables on the ground floor and the mezzanine floor are centered around a performance stage that serves as the restaurant's focal point. The interior is a sea of warm wood tones and cascading red ribbons with traditional Chinese décor and lanterns. It is absolutely stunning and it feels like I was transported to a different place. Made reservations for Chuan Bistro on a recent Friday night after seeing social media posts about the experience they offer. Along with some spicy food they also offer live entertainment and authentic attire to rent to go with the cuisine. All in all it was a fun experience. The food was definitely spicy and tasty. Among the dishes we ordered, we had lamb skewers, veggie fried rice, string beans, spicy chicken, and a fried brown sugar with rice dish for dessert. The inside of the place had an authentic feel to it and there was a Chinese version of Renaissance times to the experience. Overall, I would recommend checking the place out. I will say there are still parts of the experience that are a work in progress as it is a fairly new establishment such as the entertainment. Granted, we did come on the earlier side so it could be different later on and plus there's no cover so there's different expectations. read more

Chuan Bistro has some really solid flavors--the food itself was genuinely good, especially the skewers which were well-seasoned and cooked nicely. You can tell they know how to deliver on taste when it comes to Sichuan-style dishes. That said, the experience took a turn when we found a piece of hair in one of our skewers. We brought it to the staff's attention, and while they did take it back, they unfortunately returned what appeared to be the same skewer afterward. That response was disappointing and raised concerns about food safety and how situations like this are handled. I wanted to like this place more because the food has real potential, but proper handling of issues like this matters just as much as taste. Service, and ambiance here are top notch. It actually looks a lot smaller than the social media campaigns I've seen but it still lives up to the hype. Order off an iPad; drinks, skewers, and photo ops aplenty. Food wise there's a lot left to be desired if you're not into maximum levels spice and salt (even adjusted it to low). Ordered about 13 dishes- about 3 stood out as something we would order again: 1) couples delight (beef tripe & offal in chilli sauce); 2) minced chili & salted egg shrimp; 3) braised string beans and eggplant cumin lamb was a split vote. Noodles were a bit of a let down between the actual taste and texture. There was more availability for larger tables in the evening- which I assume is ground level. It definitely picked up for dinner hours when the live performance began as well (for a Friday evening it was around 730). The hanfu add-on is certainly a cute option adding to the experience. Chuan Bistro has a beautiful interior that feels more upscale than the typical Chinese restaurant, but the experience was a bit mixed. We walked in around 5:30pm and were told we could have a table only if we finished by 6:30pm because the tables were reserved. It was a little surprising since the restaurant wasn't crowded and there were still plenty of open tables. Despite the nicer setting, we were given paper cups for water, which felt out of place for a such a nice restaurant. Ordering is done through an iPad, and the staff we interacted with didn't speak much English, which made communication a bit difficult. Food-wise, some dishes were quite good. The sauerkraut fish had good flavor but was much spicier than expected even though we ordered mild spice. The eggplant with string beans was well cooked and flavorful, and the chicken skewers were tasty. The braised beef with noodles came in a very generous portion but the noodle texture was too soft for my taste. One interesting thing is that they apparently start performances around 7pm, and guests can also dress up in Hanfu clothing for an additional charge, which adds a unique cultural element to the experience. Loved the vibes of this restaurant! Seriously, it feels almost like you are being transported to a completely different setting after stepping in from Flushing! We saw two dance performances and they were a fun break between the eating and chatting. Food all came out delicious, with every dish executed to a good standard for restaurants of this type. Travel back in time to the Tang Dynasty; complete with Hanfu experience! The music, Hanfu outfits, and dance performance was just beautiful! Kudos to all the performers! The restaurant has two levels, so no matter where you're seated, you have a great view of the show. The performers make a point to go to each table, on both levels as well! You can rent Hanfu outfits for the evening, for just $10! They have Hanfu for women, men and kids. If you want to take it up a notch, you can also get your hair and makeup done for an additional $40. There were 8 of us tonight, and 5 opted to wear Hanfu. This just made the evening so much more special. I encourage everyone to rent a Hanfu! Ok now onto the food! The food was excellent! We didn't have a bad dish in our selections. We wanted to order the Tea Smoked Duck but they didn't have it tonight. But there was plenty of other great dishes to pick from. I've been here twice in 10 days, and these are the dishes we've tried (shared by 8ppl): ~ Mapo Tofu ($15): standard dish; would have been better if it were spicier. *We ordered this extra spicy the 2 and time and it was much better! ~ Golden Rice Crispy Chili Beef ($26.90): Excellent dish! Great texture and so satisfying. Get this!! ~ Minced Chili & Salted Egg Shrimp ($28.90/12 Prawns): Excellent dish! The salted egg yolk flavors really shined and the Shrimp was large and delicious. Get this!! ~ Cumin Beef ($26): we usually order cumin lamb but this cumin beef was really tasty; beef was nice and tender! ~ Yu-Shiang Shredded Pork ($16.90): good dish but would have been better with some spicy peppers. ~ Sauerkraut Fish Soup ($32.90): wow, was this sour (in a good way)!! This was a large portion; enough for everyone to have two bowls each. The ingredients were fresh, fragrant and pungent. ~ Dry-Fried String Beans ($15): prepared perfectly! pungent. ~ Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet ($22): although tasty, the fish fillets were super thin and you couldn't really taste the actual fish. I would skip this dish next time. ~ Chongqing Chicken ($22.90): Great dish. Some people complain that there are too many dried chili peppers in this dish but they don't realize that this dish always comes this way. The whole point of this dish is that it is fried with those delicious dried red chili peppers!! If you like spicy, Get this! ~ Lamb Skewers ($5 each): these were fantastic! Nice cumin and spicy flavors. So satisfying! ~ Rice ($2/Bowl): entrees do NOT come with rice. Order on the side. It's a pretty large bowl. Everything was well prepared and delicious! There was not one bad dish. They have many interesting dishes in their menu! We're already looking forward to a return visit to try new dishes. Note the spiciness levels: We ordered everything medium spicy and was warned that medium spicy was very spicy but none of us thought it was spicy enough. For us, their medium spicy was more of a mild spicy. So adjust according to your own preferences! Next time, we will order very spicy! Service and hospitality were very welcoming and friendly. Amazing dining experience! The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and the portions were very generous. The spice level was flavorful without being overwhelmingly hot. What really stood out was the service. After noticing that the first dish was a bit spicy for us, Timmy immediately asked the kitchen to make the rest of our dishes milder without us even having to ask. He was attentive and thoughtful throughout the entire meal. There was also a dance performance during dinner, which made the whole experience even more special and fun. We were treated to complimentary desserts at the end of the meal, and Timmy even helped us find the right direction to the subway station before we left. I believe starting around 7:30 each night, there are also interactive dance performances which were entertaining. Found this place thanks to a video on Insta, and it looked really pretty, so of course I had to check it out for myself. We came early, so it wasn't packed yet, and the decor was really simple; it had, like, a tavern style with an upper-level dining area with an open view so you could see the stage from above. I was so excited to try the Hanfu clothes but didn't get the opportunity or get to see the performance due to the time. As for the food, since it's Sichuan style, everything is spicy and full of peppers, which I don't mind; however, the Chongqing Spicy Chicken, which was good, was literally peppers (see the picture) with bits of chicken that we had to pick out to eat since the peppers kind of overpowered it too much. It didn't come with anything, so we ordered a side of rice. We also got the lamb and chicken skewers, which were ok. We were served tea with our food, which they didn't charge for. I definitely want to go back to get the full experience, to see the performance, and to try the clothes! read more

The decor of this place was so simple and cute, I loved the large drums but was a lordly disappointed to see that they didn't have a dancer in the middle (I think it's a paid performance but I'm not too sure). The food however was amazing. My friends and I enjoyed everything that we ordered however I do have to point out the Fruity Potato Cubes were not for me but the guys in the table seemed to really enjoy them. My favorites from the order were definitely the Hand Torn Cabbage (I just think it could use some protein like sliced pork belly), the Golden Rice Crispy Chili Beef and the skewers were hugeeeee. We were at first torn because of the price so we just ordered two to see if they were worth it and they literally skewered the chicken with a chopstick. Not only was it very big but it was also super tender. I wish the mapo tofu had a little more flavor but that could've been a problem on our end just because some people in the table did not like things to be too spicy so we asked for everything to be at a minimum spice level. The Brown Sugar Glutinous Rice is definitely always a treat that I get when I'm at hot pot and I was very happy to see it here, it was so chewy and not too sweet and the Peach Green Tea was super refreshing and not too sweet as well. The service was super quick and very helpful, I also liked that we were able to order from the iPad being that their menu is on the bigger end. I will be back to try more food items! read more

Some friends and I came here after seeing videos on instagram about how they have traditional chinese performances here. Which is apparently the only place in nyc that does this. It was a cool experience, it felt like we were transported to China. The food menu is very extensive and a bit overwhelming but I recommend getting their lamb skewers, green beans and spicy beef. Also the show itself starts at 7pm and they periodically go on throughout the night not the whole time. They were still dancing by the time we left at 9pm. read more

Such a fun place to be especially with the performances and hanfu and hair rentals. The dancer is also the one doing hanfu and hair so the wait can be long. Room for changing and hair is small too. It's a novel experience to be able to dress up in traditional hanfu ("Han Clothes") while you dine on Sichuan food overlooking a stage that transports you to China. Reviewing the hanfu experience first, food below: My friend and I both made the trek to Flushing to check out this new place that offered hanfu, and we were both Instagram girlies so we just had to go. To note - as of Jan 2026, it was $10 to pick out and wear hanfu, but you had to request for it, and we both didn't know it cost extra to rent. We took our time taking pictures around the stage and balcony area and they seemed fine with it. We came around 6:30 and left at about 8:30. There was also supposed to be a performance, but they cancelled. For people who have seen the glamor shots they do in China and really want to have a similar experience, I would definitely recommend coming here to try it. The closet/changing room where they stored the hanfu was... pretty messy but clean-ish, and I'd take it for the $10 rent fee. There is a nice girl who helps you put on hanfu, couldn't find her when we left, but I just took off the clothes on my own and hung them back up. For the food: I really enjoyed the lamb skewer, but as someone who has been to China and had the skewers off a street vendor (even in Queens), $5 was a pretty hefty price to pay for the stick that you got. It was seasoned very well, and you could get it spicy or not spicy. The beef noodle soup was passable - my friend and I thought it was cooked too well done, so the noodles were a little too soft and soggy. The garlic string beans were great, just as good as Din Tai Fung or better. In the end, cost came out to around $37 per person with the hanfu fee. I would say it's worth it just for the experience. Maybe we didn't choose the right dishes, but any food in flushing would be great! read more

Came here as a group of 5, on Lunar New Year. The ambiance and atmosphere were beautiful!! They put on a wonderful performance, on their center stage... truly mesmerizing. Each dish that came out had us in disbelief. Food was absolutely amazing. So much flavor. Our server, Zhu was ON IT!! Ask for him if you can! Timmy was an attentive and quick attendant to our group. He answered all necessary questions regarding spice levels, taste and drinks. We were a party about 9/10 & arrived on time, Time of service between arrival & departure was for 6:30-10pm (on a Tuesday) because we were taking our time enjoying a birthday celebration, taking pictures & kept ordering soju & food. You order all your items via the tablet on your table & the waiter (our Timmy!) confirms what you enter & the kitchen staff bring it to your table. Timmy made sure to walk us through the menu & the food was delicious, some items kicked a punch in a good Sichuan way. 4-5 bowls of rice could suffice the group depending on how hungry you are, we had a few bigger family style dishes & full order of items were: Chongqing Spicy Chicken, lamb/beef/spicy chicken skewers, Beef With Cilantro, 12 or so (pineapple,green apple and peach) sojus, peach green tea, a cocktail & an order of noodles with peanuts, (forgot the name). At the beginning, we got the opportunity to go & choose our traditional dress for dinner as a group (additional minimal cost). Dressing room is on 2 nd floor, accessible by stairs. Beautiful & colorful options are placed on top of your clothing, don't dress bulky, and you will need to return items when you leave. (Yes, they're plus size friendly also) You are encouraged to enjoy the experience, be sure to ask permission before going on center stage. Because performances happen basically every 30- 60 mins, you don't want to be in mid-picture. You have view of the stage from the 2nd floor, but best seat in my opinion of full view of performance is the first floor tables alongside the stage (left & right sides). There's approximately 3 bathrooms- 2 individual on the first floor & 1 upstairs (didn't use so unsure if it is individual or small stalls). Parking is available on the street, but metered receipts must be displayed until 10:30 pm. There's also parking garages in the area, but seem reasonably priced. This was a hidden gem that was beautiful and fun experience with delicious food & tasty drinks - definitely would go back! read more
