Very good local Italian. Great rustic pizza and affordable wine list. Trattoria 35 keeps everything simple and it works.

My cousin and I won a gift card here for best Halloween costume for the Fort Totten 5k. We came here that same day (Sunday). The restaurant was packed and very lively. The server started us with bread for the table, grapes, and cheese. For my meal, I ordered penne a la vodka with chicken. My cousin got fish which he said was slightly above average. He thought the portion size was small for the price. I enjoyed my meal. We decided not to get dessert. Overall, it was a nice time out. We were happy to use the gift card and try a new restaurant.

This was an amazing evening for just a dinner date or family night. I got the Le Vian baby that Henny & Capt. Morgan hit a punch that was gooodddrd like a dark and stormy drink. Got the salad omg soooo good didn't even get a picture but it was the one that had the blue cheese on it. The main star was my spaghetti and meatballs that my man took me to get since I wanted pasta so bad and was good and they are huge meatballs but so goood and he got the seafood & chicken farafella this was hands done fantastic. Service was so housing and very special as a customer

Family-friendly spot enjoyed by diners of all ages - no frills and great service! Have visited twice and my favorite dish has to be the Calamari Arrabiata - fried calamari tossed in a spicy marinara sauce with some pickled banana peppers that really take it up a notch! The Linguini Mara Bello is also delicious - definitely delivers on the spice so beware! The portion and variety of seafood is generous and each piece is cooked well.

Table of 10, fast service, food was fantastic as always. Tried a new dessert, Zabaglione, it was delicious!

On behalf of The Center for the Women of New York, I want to thank Trattoria 35 for their generous and delicious donation of meatballs to our Taste of the World at Fort Totten gala. Let me tell you, these were not just any meatballs. They were giant, hearty, and full of incredible flavor. They were clearly made with care and authentic recipes, and they were a massive hit with all of our guests. Everyone was talking about them! It is because of local businesses like Trattoria 35 that care deeply about our community that events like ours are possible. Their support helps us raise crucial funds for the vital work we do supporting women. This kind of generosity is exactly why I make a point to support businesses that give back. I highly recommend Trattoria 35. I will definitely be visiting their restaurant soon to show my support, and I encourage everyone to do the same. Thank you for your kindness and for making such a positive impact.

Great restaurant. Had not been here in a few years, forgot how delish it is. Staff is very friendly and nice. Place is very clean. Chicken francese was wonderful. Really nice place for large gatherings.

This was a wonderful dining experience! The food was delicious and the service was top notch. I also loved that they give you olives and cheese before your meal, I can't wait to go back!

We came here for dinner on a Friday night and were immediately seated upon entering the restaurant. The ambiance was perfect for a date night and the service was great with friendly and attentive servers. We ordered a mushroom pizza, penne alla vodka and a side of meatballs. The pizza and meatballs were solid but the pasta was subpar because despite the really great reviews, we were super disappointed to find the noodles overcooked which is a huge no no for me when it comes to Italian food, especially when it comes to such a classic dish. It makes me hesitant to come back and try the rest of the menu - I would probably stick to pizzas and other dishes.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Bill and showed us our table. Our server Danny answered our questions and gave suggestions. While enjoying our drinks we ate the complimentary cheese, olives, bread and butter. The grilled calamari appetizer was delicious followed by our caesar salad. My stuffed pork chop was also delicious and my table mates dishes looked amazing. We finished our dinner with apple crumb and creme brulee.

Went with a large group and had a mostly positive experience. Pros: penne a la vodka, chicken francese, cappuccino, rainbow cookies, not too loud, tables spaced well, valet parking Cons: mixed green salad (too much dressing, ask for on side), skirt steak (steak is often dicey in an Italian restaurant), we asked for food to go but they forgot and threw it out

A solid Italian restaurant anchoring the north end of the Bell Blvd restaurant strip in Bayside. It's an easy exit from the Clearview Expy, down 35th Ave and pull up to the valet. Or you can street park it yourself in the neighborhood, since the streets are not as crowded as further down Bell, where the bulk of the restaurants are. In the past, we've had large group (20+) dinners here and they've accommodated us in the main dining room, but if you have a really large group celebration, ask about the party room upstairs. If it's just a small family dinner, just call ahead. If your server hasn't already recited the specials of the day when you are seated at your table, please ask because the chef will have fresh seafood dishes picked out just for the day, such as halibut and chilean sea bass. For a recent dinner, we started with the Grilled Octopus Salad, which was pretty tender and a dozen Baked Clams and the chef made it a bakers dozen. The zuppa del giorno was an American favorite (and mine), Split Pea, but they made it with prosciutto and I loved it with the homemade croutons. The Pappardelle with Halibut, Shrimp and Scallops special that my son had was really good with fresh made pasta ribbons and plenty of seafood. My wife's Chicken and Portobello Mushroom was OK and I went with an old menu favorite, the Linguini Mare Bello Fra Diavolo. It was loaded with calamari, shrimp, clams and mussels (in shell) and plenty of sliced garlic in a spicy tomato sauce. Now my buddy, Matteo had asked me what Fra Diavolo was because it doesn't exist in his native Italy, so I assume it is an Italian-American invention, similar to many American takes on other ethnic cuisines that have evolved in the US. Either way, we had a great dinner, topped off with a nice cappuccino for me and a big dish of chocolate gelato for my son.

    Salmon and Chicken franchise delicious!!!

I told everyone about it, that it was some of the best pizza in New York. I gave them so many chances. Last night was the final straw. Made a reservation for Friday night at 8PM. We arrived at 8:05. The waitress who's basically always there, who sounds like she smokes about a pack a day, was the only waitress there that night. I felt for her, but also, not my problem. We didn't receive water or a full set of utensils and menu until about 8:15. At about 8:25, she took our order, and we ordered a few apps and calzone and pizza. I had to ask for my coke about 4 times until she remembered to bring it. Water was NEVER refilled. We were never asked if we were ok. Around 8:50, we finally received our apps. It was ok, they've made it better in the past. Ambiance was starting to die down as the restaurant was clearing out. We felt a bit bad for her, but also, this wasn't our fault, that they were unprepared for a Friday night rush (her words). By 9:15, we were furious and our moods were ruined. We sat down at 8:05, ordered before 8:30, we were the only ones left and our pizza and calzone were yet to be found. Shortly before 9:30, it arrived. And again, it was pretty good, but not wait over an hour for it good. I wanted this place to succeed. The pizza maker from Italy deserves a better crew. The waitress doesn't know how to be a waitress, at all. No apologies, not taking anything off the check, not checking on us. There's no busboy, no one dedicated to take out, no manager. It seems that everyone plays each others roles, and quite poorly. They've lost a loyal customer tonight. We will NEVER give this place another try.

**Toskana Pizzeria -- grandma pie excellence, plus legit Neapolitan and Sicilian**…read more Toskana Pizzeria is one of the few neighborhood spots that can pull off *multiple* pizza styles without any of them feeling like an afterthought. If you're the type who actually notices crust structure, bake quality, and balance--not just "is there cheese on it?"--this place earns the five stars. **Grandma pie (the headline act):** This is the standard. The crust has real integrity--crisp edges, that satisfying caramelized corner bite, and a base that stays structured instead of collapsing into a soggy regret. The sauce tastes clean and well-seasoned (not overly sweet), and the cheese-to-sauce ratio is dialed in so each layer is doing its job. **Thin-crust Neapolitan:** Excellent bake and flavor. You get that lighter, more delicate feel with a proper chew, and the toppings don't overwhelm the dough. It's the kind of pizza that tastes "simple" in the good way--because the fundamentals are right. **Sicilian:** A lot of places treat Sicilian like a dense bread block with toppings. Not here. Their Sicilian is actually well-made--airy enough to enjoy, sturdy enough to satisfy, and baked so it has texture instead of being a soft slab. The common thread is consistency: everything feels deliberate, properly baked, and balanced. If you live in the area and you're not ordering from Toskana, you're basically choosing to make your life harder for no reason. Five stars.

Nice cheese pull, good balance of sauce, and probably my favorite of the bunch. It held up well, not floppy at all, with a slight crisp on the bottom. BIG FAN! Chicken broccoli: Just OK. I've had better. The chicken was slightly burnt, which was disappointing. Grandma spinach & artichoke: Pretty good overall. It's similar in style to Artichoke Basille's Pizza, but not as rich or creamy. Margherita: Underwhelming. Nothing really stood out and I've definitely had better elsewhere. That said, I'd still go back just for the plain slice. You really can't go wrong with it. It's a thumbs up for me!

Our server was very pleasant and happened to be the only one working at the time, though with so few guests, it seemed to be all that was needed. We ordered the three-course lunch special. One set included the meatballs to start, followed by the chicken Parmesan and bomboloni for dessert. The other included a Caesar salad, tagliatelle Bolognese, and tiramisu. There was a bit of a longer-than-expected gap between the appetizer and the entrée, especially considering we were essentially the only table being served, as the other guests had already finished their meal. That was a little frustrating. Aside from that, most of the food was solid. The only real disappointment was the chicken Parmesan, which was quite overcooked. It was unfortunate given that the kitchen was only cooking for the two of us. That said, the mashed potatoes, an unusual pairing with chicken Parmesan were excellent: perfectly creamy and incredibly smooth. The tiramisu was also quite good, but the real standout was the bomboloni. I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed them, since fried doughnuts wouldn't normally be my first choice for dessert. I would definitely return.
