Didn't have a single gripe about any of it. + Shredded Chicken Pan Fried Noodle - EXCELLLLENT. Noodles were extraaaaa crispy and the sauce didn't overwhelm the noodle. Only complaint was that the sauce was a littttttle saltier than needed. THE SERVICE ------------------- + They have the old school cart ladies driving around with dim sum in them, which I am ALWAYS for. It doesn't feel like the full dim sum experience without them. Lots of variety and like most Chinese dim sum places lots of chatter and clatter :) I was between 3 and 4 stars but given how hard I usually make places earn a 4 star, I gave this place a 3. Mainly because it's tight spaces (which is quite normal in bayside) and crowd control. It does has parking in the back, which is nice. They still have dim sum push cart with lots of options for steamed, stir fried, and stewed options. The place is definitely bustling on a Sunday. My family and I came back to Canton Manor to celebrate my niece's 1st birthday on February 21st and my birthday on May 28th. For my niece's 1st birthday, we had a private room reserved for us with 2 tables downstairs. There are a few private rooms. On May 28th, we were the first group for dinner service and it definitely got crowded after we arrived. It seems like 5-5:30pm is the time before it gets very busy. Every time I come to Canton Manor, the service is always great and the food is delicious. Also, I always have boxes of food to take home. Canton Manor food is consistently excellent and hits all the right flavor notes. A really good alternative to going to the chaotic downtown Flushing area for dim sum. Place is smaller than most dim sum restaurants so there's always a wait, especially for larger parties and if you come after 11am on a weekend. But food is delicious and service is good. We enjoyed an extraordinary dining experience at Canton Manor, celebrating family milestones. We had a private room for 11 people. The highlight was the king crab, which was cooked in three different ways, fried with an extra extraordinary sauce on it, over rice, noodles, and Assay fried rice. It was considered THE best Cantonese restaurant a decade ago in Flushing by many people, including myself. Sadly, a fire nearby shut it down. Thankfully, they reopened quickly and still putting out great food. For our recent meal, we were celebrating and ordered some amazing seafood. I recently dined at Canton Manor and had a really enjoyable experience overall. The food was genuinely tasty and well-prepared, with each dish bringing solid flavor and quality. I do want to note that some of the dishes leaned a bit on the salty side. That said, I've been cutting back on sodium lately, so it's possible I'm more sensitive to it than most. Got there on a Saturday 1:30 pm. It was a full house. It has a free parking lot with a few spaces left. You can park on the street anytime on Sat/Sun. Customer service was ok. There were many dim sum push carts around. Great variety of dim sum. We order dry fry beef noodles 干炒牛河 $20 which presented with generous portion with great wok chi ( wok heat) and plenty of beef. The more outstanding dim sums include shrimp rice noodle roll 蝦腸，beef stomach 牛栢葉， mixed beef organs 牛什，milk custard bun 流沙包 and spongy cake roll 馬拉卷。 price is market price. Tons of carts came by immediately and we probably ordered all our dishes within 10 minutes of getting seated. Finally get the chance to get into and dined to this restaurant. We came during their dim sum hour so we took advantage of it , we could always come back for lunch or dinner dining some other time. This is not the closest dim sum near me but parking is way better than going to Northern Blvd near Douglaston or Flushing area. I placed my order on the phone, which was painless and efficient and was told the order would take about 15 minutes. I ordered beef chow fun, seafood pan fried noodle, salted fish and diced chicken fried rice, and sauteed clam with black bean sauce (menu says black sean sauce lol). It really did only take 15 minutes for the food to be ready. When I got back home which was about 5 minutes away on this very cold night, the food was still very hot and did not need any microwaving. My family of 4 and my mother in law all really loved the dishes. We will definitely try other items of the menu and look forward to trying out their dim sum during the day time. The service is up to standard and semi friendly. The decor is not really outstanding but not bad. If you're having a big family dinner, I would suggest booking the room with the two tables. came here again for dim sum for memorial day. Had a table for 10 with 4 kids and they charged the kids for tea. they also didnt have any booster seats. Overall didnt go by the standards by the resturants that are near by. would go to another but the base food was still good. and we order two noodles dishes which slapped. Came here previously for Dim Sum, this time for a Post Chinese New Year's Eve Dinner with my brother and Mom. They have a parking lot but get here early as it fills up. Staff was friendly and attentive nd got seated right away. Ordered 5 dishes, sorry, didn't get the names of the dishes but you can see my pics. The soup was really really good. In fact ask the dishes were awesome. The shrimp in mayor sauce was cooked perfectly. The beef dish was so tender. The fried fish - I could eat that all day. Are you a fan of salt and pepper pork chops? Do you love dim sum? If so, this is a spot worth checking out. I've visited this place several times for dim sum and have also ordered takeout. When dining in, although there may be a line, it usually moves fairly quickly and the food comes at you fast and furious, and it's always so busy that I forget to take pictures. They've changed up the interior from the previous restaurant (BCD Tofu House), but there's nothing particularly noteworthy about the decor. The servers and dim sum cart attendants are constantly checking in, asking if you want something from the carts--it can be a bit overwhelming. Most of them are pretty friendly, though a few could smile a bit more or at least appear more approachable. On our most recent visit, we weren't in the mood for the hustle and bustle, so we opted for takeout. We got har gow (shrimp dumplings), beef lo mein, and of course, my favorite--salt and pepper pork chops. Since this place is known for its dim sum, the har gow was solid, filled with chunky shrimp. The beef lo mein isn't your typical takeout version. It includes Chinese celery, mushrooms, and red onions instead of the usual yellow ones. Is it the best lo mein I've ever had? Probably not, but I like that they try to elevate it. Last but not least, the salt and pepper pork chops are crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. My favorites from this place are the walnut mayo shrimp, sautéed pea shoots and ginger scallion lobster. The food comes out piping hot and super fresh! They also let you run the show! I threw my boyfriend a surprise birthday dinner at Canton Manor and it was a success! I was able to secure a private room and had the opportunity to come earlier to decorate. I would 100% recommend ordering the crab sticky rice. This was the best fried rice dish I've ever had at a Chinese restaurant and would come back just for this dish! My friends and I also ordered a variety of dishes and most were delicious but I would skip the shrimp mayo and fried pork chop dishes. The batter on the shrimp was too thick and the sauce on the pork chop had too much vinegar in my opinion. Our main server (kind older man in glasses) was great and made us laugh throughout the night.
