I do want to note that some of the dishes leaned a bit on the salty side. That said, I've been cutting back on sodium lately, so it's possible I'm more sensitive to it than most. This has always been our go to Cantonese restaurant that serves authentic Chinese food. None of that American Chinese take out stuff. I'm talking about shrimp with mayo, pea shoots with garlic, the steamed fish and the crab with sticky rice. Drooling just thinking about all the deliciousness. The service is up to standard and semi friendly. The decor is not really outstanding but not bad. If you're having a big family dinner, I would suggest booking the room with the two tables. Came on a Saturday morning for dim sum around 10:45am. Was already packed but luckily it was just two of us so we got seated on the side right away. Tons of carts came by immediately and we probably ordered all our dishes within 10 minutes of getting seated. Finally get the chance to get into and dined to this restaurant. We came during their dim sum hour so we took advantage of it , we could always come back for lunch or dinner dining some other time. This is not the closest dim sum near me but parking is way better than going to Northern Blvd near Douglaston or Flushing area. I placed my order on the phone, which was painless and efficient and was told the order would take about 15 minutes. I ordered beef chow fun, seafood pan fried noodle, salted fish and diced chicken fried rice, and sauteed clam with black bean sauce (menu says black sean sauce lol). It really did only take 15 minutes for the food to be ready. When I got back home which was about 5 minutes away on this very cold night, the food was still very hot and did not need any microwaving. My family of 4 and my mother in law all really loved the dishes. We will definitely try other items of the menu and look forward to trying out their dim sum during the day time. Came here previously for Dim Sum, this time for a Post Chinese New Year's Eve Dinner with my brother and Mom. They have a parking lot but get here early as it fills up. Staff was friendly and attentive nd got seated right away. Ordered 5 dishes, sorry, didn't get the names of the dishes but you can see my pics. The soup was really really good. In fact ask the dishes were awesome. The shrimp in mayor sauce was cooked perfectly. The beef dish was so tender. The fried fish - I could eat that all day. When dining in, although there may be a line, it usually moves fairly quickly and the food comes at you fast and furious, and it's always so busy that I forget to take pictures. They've changed up the interior from the previous restaurant (BCD Tofu House), but there's nothing particularly noteworthy about the decor. The servers and dim sum cart attendants are constantly checking in, asking if you want something from the carts--it can be a bit overwhelming. Most of them are pretty friendly, though a few could smile a bit more or at least appear more approachable. On our most recent visit, we weren't in the mood for the hustle and bustle, so we opted for takeout. We got har gow (shrimp dumplings), beef lo mein, and of course, my favorite--salt and pepper pork chops. Since this place is known for its dim sum, the har gow was solid, filled with chunky shrimp. The beef lo mein isn't your typical takeout version. It includes Chinese celery, mushrooms, and red onions instead of the usual yellow ones. Is it the best lo mein I've ever had? Probably not, but I like that they try to elevate it. Last but not least, the salt and pepper pork chops are crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The dim sum offerings are quite abundant and fresh, the workers are all very friendly, and the prices are great (compared to the city where each item is at least $2 more). I especially loved the casserole which was very flavorful with shrimp, octopus, and even scallop. I have had other casseroles but the flavor here was the best. My favorites from this place are the walnut mayo shrimp, sautéed pea shoots and ginger scallion lobster. The food comes out piping hot and super fresh! They also let you run the show! Had my Grandpa's surprise 90th birthday here and it was so wonderful. The room had nice lanterns hanging and we brought our own decorations on top of that. What stood out the most was definitely the peking duck--it was by far the best i've had! Also was surprised by how much I enjoyed the flavor of the tea. I haven't had traditional Cantonese food in a long time so I was very excited to have these dishes again. We ordered the Bean Curd & Braised Fillet Fish, Seafood Chow Fun, Seafood In Bird's Nest, Sautéed Snow Pea Tips with fresh garlic, and Jumbo shrimp with walnuts in mayonnaise sauce. Everything came out pretty quickly and was very hot. They were big portions and very flavorful. I believe all the dishes were worth the price. The wait staff were attentive, removed emptied plates immediately, and refilled our tea kettle and our water glasses. Their braised tripe and braised chicken's feet were so flavorful and tender. Everything we tried was fresh and tasty. Their sui mai surprised me cause I am not usually a fan of sui mai but I am a fan of theirs. I am more of a shrimp fan and all my usual favorite did not disappoint, their har kow, shrimp chive, and shrimp rice noodles were so fresh and tasty. All the rice rolls we ordered were bland, old, and hard. I would say overall a lot of the food did not taste authentic. The waiters were rude. Saw them accost one of the leaving parties because they left a small tip. Our waiter hovered over us while we were signing the final bill so they could see how much we were going to tip.
