    Selection from the buffet.

Their selection is pretty good, but honestly, I've had better. I wasn't really crazy about the taste and freshness of the fish, but for a buffet, it sufficed. There is a time limit, so plan accordingly. They also have a credit surcharge, so bring cash if you can. They do have a pretty decent sized parking lot, but getting in was a little confusing. The place is clean and the staff is nice. Good for groups of people.

This was my first time at Mizumi in Little Neck, NY and I had a great experience. We came for lunch on a weekday and there was no wait. They have a variety of Japanese food including sushi, seafood, but also salads, fruits, and soft serve. I loved that they had sake sashimi for lunch. It was good. I also really liked their Al Bap, which had a combination of different fish roe, veggies, and a small piece of cooked salmon. I enjoyed the kale salad, baked mussels, miso soup, chilled tofu, clams, shrimp, chocolate chip cookies, and soft serve. I know it sounds like a lot, but there was so much more. They had a large selection of sushi rolls and nigiri as well. I ate so much, they had to roll me out of the restaurant, lol, j/k. Mizumi was very satisfying for lunch. The restaurant was clean and enjoyable to dine in. The staff was attentive with our drinks. This was a great experience dining at Mizumi.

Mussels, clams, raw squid, bio choi, spicy blue crab

We tried Mizumi for the first time today. In my opinion, the reason to go here is for the sushi. They have an impressive array and it was very good. They also had a number of original rolls I had not tried before. Also, the pork belly, chicken and beef were very good. After that, I would also say that the service was good. They refilled our drinks often and didn't rush us, the two basic needs for a buffet service. They were also friendlier than a lot of buffets I've been to, especially with our young children. Now for the cons, I was not really impressed with a number of their other selection. The raw bar elements (clams, sashimi, squid, mussels) did not really taste that fresh to me. They have what I would consider a very limited dessert menu with just a few sweet options. Only having blue crab was also kind of a bummer. I believe they have other shellfish at night but I was expecting more. They think the flavor profiles was more original than other buffets we've been to but overall I would say the food was just ok. I would recommend it for a sushi lover but probably not if you are more excited for the other food options

It has been a long time since I been to Mizumi. We had a large party so we made a reservation for dinner. It is recommended to make a reservation because we came at open in for dinner and it was already packed. They have a big selection of hot food and sushi. There is plenty for you to choose from. Not a large selection of desserts but they have enough to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Came here for the all you can eat dinner for $45 pp. I had lots of salmon sashimi and they were alright, nothing exceptional. I didn't see anything exceptional from their offering worth of coming back again. It was pretty standard all you can eat buffet that you could get it anywhere else... A bit crowded tho...

Came here for a family birthday celebration and had the private area to ourselves. Selection was good, and the sushi options were tasty and fresh. Surprisingly, the sushi rice was perfectly warm and well seasoned. Their clams in black beans were also delicious. Oysters were bad though, very fishy and watery. Had to spit it out. Loved the froyo machine also so definitely had a couple cups of those.

Mizumi - Little Neck, NY One of the longest-standing buffets on Northern Blvd, Mizumi continues to evolve while staying true to its roots. From its early days as a classic sushi buffet to its pandemic-era bento boxes, and now its bold dual concept of sushi and hot pot, this place has kept things fresh and exciting. Weekday pricing sits around $37 per person, while weekends climb to $45--a bit steep, but the fresh seafood, new oyster selections, and rotating sushi options make it worth every bite. The salad bar is always crisp, and while the fried items can be hit or miss, the overall spread is impressive. The management team works hard to keep things running smoothly, and it shows. Special shoutout to the tall Asian waiter who's been there since the beginning--a true gem. He's kind, vibrant, and moves like he genuinely loves his job. That kind of consistency and care is rare and deserves recognition. The space is perfect for family gatherings, with plenty of seating and a clean, welcoming vibe. Just a heads-up: don't arrive starving, or you'll fill up on rice and miss the premium bites. Mizumi has stood the test of time--and I'll definitely keep coming back. This place was a little far. To get here, a car would be preferable, but you can also take the bus from Flushing. I came here for lunch and it was $33 per person. I also ordered a pepsi which was refillable. There was no wait (we went at 1pm on a Sunday) and got seated immediately. We were told there is a 90 minute time limit so we got started right away. It's always worth it to hit up the sushi bar since they have such fresh fish and seafood. My favorite was the tiny dish of salmon they offered as well as the other fresh fish. For hot foods, the fried chicken was juicy. We ended with some small desserts and frozen yogurt (either vanilla or strawberry). I docked a star because we felt a little rushed. They gave us our bill not even an hour into our buffet and we felt like they were hovering over us, but overall the experience was good.

Is it just ayce sushi and hot pot too?

Not what it used to be

Does Jackson Diner still do their lunch buffet?

For the kids paying quarter of the price, are they also able to get their own pot? I know they can in the past but seems the policy just got changed?

Yes they can get their own.

Do you charge more on holidays?

They used to but you should call to make sure. Not sure what the policy is after they reopened post COVID.

I want to go out for have lunch with my friend , my family。do I need to reserve today?

Don't bother, this place food has gone down terribly since pandemic. Go to DJ International Buffet instead. If you want shabu shabu, go to Vasaiya.

Do you plan on getting rid of the shabu shabu and going back to full buffet? I really enjoy this buffet but will not return unless the old buffet setup comes back.

They won't bc hotpot is cheap and less costly. This is their way of raising price by lowering the quality and variety of foods, much less seafood now.

What kind of vegetables, noodles and rice cake do they have?

$38 for carbs and vegetables not worth it. Go to DJ international buffet.

Is there still a raw bar with oysters/clams?

    I remember seeing oysters.

What's the hot food selection like, now that they're offering hot pot? Is it significantly smaller?

The hot food currently is smaller than before. They are offering hotpot and their hotpot food selection are not that much of Variety. They still have their sushi bar

When will it go back to the old buffet style with hot foods and not shabu?

They won't bc hotpot is cheap and less costly. This is their way of raising price by lowering the quality and variety of foods, much less seafood now.

    Is there still parking?

Yes there is. The outdoor dining takes up about a third of the parking lot.

    Is there dessert at lunch?

    For sure.

    Can I order takeout?

    Of course you can!

Do they serve snow crab or stone crabs on weekday lunch time?

I believe the shellfish is only served at dinner.

Is it limited time for weekday lunch?

From 11/30 am to 3/30 pm : good assumption !

What is the cost for lunch? Dinner? What time is lunch served?

Lunch is $24.95 with less premium seafood but still the same yummy food overall. Dinner is $10 more, $34.95. They do chart for drinks/tea.… Read more

    Does the price include drinks?

    Nope

Do they have lobster on weekday dinner?

I haven't seen lobster there, but everything they have is excellent.

Is there different food served for lunch and for dinner?

There is some variation with the seafood offering but it's not worth the extra price IMHO (ex. raw oyster at dinner time)

But it was okay because we found street parking a little bit of a walk away and was able to still enjoy ourselves. My fiancé and I grabbed a bunch of food from their big variety and both left stuffed. Overall, I can't say it's the best quality of foods however, the selection was huge and for the price, this was actually very good! The service was great. They started us off with drinks as soon as we sat down and would ask us if we needed refills on these drinks whenever they were running low. Even though there was a lot of people, because the space itself is also big, it did not feel like we were overcrowded so that was also a plus!

However, when we arrived, nobody was at the front counter, so we walked to the inside counter to ask to be seated. The front desk guy clearly just came in for his shift since he was hurrying on his cell phone, carrying bags and had his jacket on. He came over looking very busy and disheveled, and when my mom politely asked if we should wait here to be seated, he rudely responded, "Well if there's no one at that counter then you come to this counter if you see the sign." Meanwhile... there was no sign saying that when we left. My mom was just asking a simple question, so the attitude was unnecessary. Just because you're stressed or running late doesn't mean you take it out on customers. F him for being rude to my nice mom and never coming to this place again. As for the food, it was pretty mediocre overall, that experience left a bad taste. The sushi selection had a good variety, and the desserts were honestly the best part. They have a chocolate fondue station plus vanilla, matcha, and swirl soft serve ice cream machines. At least the place was clean. Also, the waitress gives you a parking discount before you leave, so don't forget to ask.

I was very skeptical about an all you can eat buffet. But wow, was i impressed. This was so much more than your typical Chinese buffet. And the place is huge with plenty of seating. It's also clean and bright, which makes it feel very welcoming. When we arrived on Saturday at dinner time there was a very short wait and then they walked our party of six to a side room. There were about 5 or 6 other long tables, each able to seat parties of 8. One other family sat down after us. It didn't feel crowded because it was like having our own little space. The seafood all tasted fresh and the choices were amazing. One section had an amazing array of fresh sushi. Another section had beef brisket, sirloin, chicken and some other proteins plus asparagus. They also had a ton of different seafood dishes, including snow crab legs, lobster in basil, flounder, mussels, oyster. Then you had the traditional Chinese "take out" type dishes - general tsos, chicken and broccoli, pepper steak, Mei fun, fried rice etc. Then foods kids might like, including pizza and chicken nuggets. The salad bar was small but had the basics. They had dumplings, Shumai, about 4 kinds of soup, white rice, fresh soup, desserts... the list goes on! It reminded me of a buffet you'd find down south! Really done right, with a lot of variety. My favorites were the duck, spare ribs, beef brisket and sirloin. I wasn't feeling very adventurous but a buffet is a good place to try new things. Come hungry because at $30 per adult it's not cheap but it's well worth it. We will be back!

If i was 18. I would probably say. WOW! This place is my jam! Has all the pizza, fries, bourbon chicken, fried seafoods, steak you'll ever have. We came on a Sunday around 1:30 PM. Which to me is considered lunch time?! I was in a bit of disbelief that they charged us dinner prices. I mean if they were going to charge us dinner prices. I was expected better options? Sushi station was lack lustered. Sure every roll looks pretty and what not. But when you actually look at the contents. It's all pretty much the same imitation crab meat inside, Avacado outside or vise versa, or deep fried. Regardless its just the same. The Sashimi was questionable. I played it safe and had the grilled eel with rice..and even that tasted as if it just came out the fridge....yesterday. Majority of the rice that was rolled was cold. Had a more "takeout" quality for majority of them. The cook stations were limited. There was a "fast food" I called it station which has your typical pork fried rice, lo mein, chicken broccoli, bourbon chicken, Mongolian Beef, etc. Hey! If you're into that go for it! The Seafood station were just all frozen fish, crabs, crab legs, and variety of shrimps. Most of them were doused with asian-esque sauces which was fine. The fried food station had all the things the kiddies would like, french fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, fried chicken etc. I do have to say though. That pan fried dumpling is the bombs! That is some old school chinese dumplings that you don't really see anymore at any authentic restaurants. Definitely gave me the nostalgic vibes. The grill/hibachi station. Stick with the Steak i'd say. Everything else.. .meh. Desserts, fruits, salad, and their "ice cream" Aka ice milk is your standard buffet selections. Although that weird marshmallow, orange? cream thing...was surprisingly good. Never had that before. Overall. Sunday. 1:30 PM. 2 ppl ... about $70+ for what they had imo doesn't seem worth it. But if you're into asian fast food cuisine mixed style then sure! Go on ahead. But for that price. It's hard to compete with others that have better selections. Service though is top notch! Credit to the hard workers that do their best to upkeep the place!
