Very clean that's number 1 for a buffet for me . Very friendly staff and the food was very good.

This location has been a few different restaurants since Olive Garden closed. The Master Grill didn't last long and wasn't very good. I was very skeptical about an all you can eat buffet. But wow, was i impressed. This was so much more than your typical Chinese buffet. And the place is huge with plenty of seating. It's also clean and bright, which makes it feel very welcoming. When we arrived on Saturday at dinner time there was a very short wait and then they walked our party of six to a side room. There were about 5 or 6 other long tables, each able to seat parties of 8. One other family sat down after us. It didn't feel crowded because it was like having our own little space. The seafood all tasted fresh and the choices were amazing. One section had an amazing array of fresh sushi. Another section had beef brisket, sirloin, chicken and some other proteins plus asparagus. They also had a ton of different seafood dishes, including snow crab legs, lobster in basil, flounder, mussels, oyster. Then you had the traditional Chinese "take out" type dishes - general tsos, chicken and broccoli, pepper steak, Mei fun, fried rice etc. Then foods kids might like, including pizza and chicken nuggets. The salad bar was small but had the basics. They had dumplings, Shumai, about 4 kinds of soup, white rice, fresh soup, desserts... the list goes on! It reminded me of a buffet you'd find down south! Really done right, with a lot of variety. My favorites were the duck, spare ribs, beef brisket and sirloin. I wasn't feeling very adventurous but a buffet is a good place to try new things. Come hungry because at $30 per adult it's not cheap but it's well worth it. We will be back! read more

I have to admit the aesthetics of this place does attract many people who wants to do events, catering, even heck a date I saw at a few tables or just a casual family outing or some friends to go beast mode on. Which to me is considered lunch time?! I was in a bit of disbelief that they charged us dinner prices. I mean if they were going to charge us dinner prices. I was expected better options? Sushi station was lack lustered. Sure every roll looks pretty and what not. But when you actually look at the contents. It's all pretty much the same imitation crab meat inside, Avacado outside or vise versa, or deep fried. Regardless its just the same. The Sashimi was questionable. I played it safe and had the grilled eel with rice..and even that tasted as if it just came out the fridge....yesterday. Majority of the rice that was rolled was cold. Had a more "takeout" quality for majority of them. The cook stations were limited. There was a "fast food" I called it station which has your typical pork fried rice, lo mein, chicken broccoli, bourbon chicken, Mongolian Beef, etc. Hey! If you're into that go for it! The Seafood station were just all frozen fish, crabs, crab legs, and variety of shrimps. Most of them were doused with asian-esque sauces which was fine. The fried food station had all the things the kiddies would like, french fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, fried chicken etc. I do have to say though. That pan fried dumpling is the bombs! That is some old school chinese dumplings that you don't really see anymore at any authentic restaurants. Definitely gave me the nostalgic vibes. The grill/hibachi station. Stick with the Steak i'd say. Everything else.. .meh. Desserts, fruits, salad, and their "ice cream" Aka ice milk is your standard buffet selections. Although that weird marshmallow, orange? cream thing...was surprisingly good. Never had that before. Overall. Sunday. 1:30 PM. 2 ppl ... about $70+ for what they had imo doesn't seem worth it. But if you're into asian fast food cuisine mixed style then sure! Go on ahead. But for that price. It's hard to compete with others that have better selections. Service though is top notch! I found Ocean Buffet while searching on Yelp for a new buffet that was clean and offered a wide variety of options, and I'm so glad I did! This is now my new favorite go-to buffet. The restaurant is huge, spacious, and very clean, which immediately made a great first impression. The staff is fast, attentive, and friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. What really stood out to me was the incredible variety of food choices. There's truly something for everyone. I especially appreciated how organized everything was -- Chinese dishes in one area, sushi in another, plus separate dessert and fruit stations. This new Asian buffet could actually work here in this space. Many places have come and gone because its just so big for the traffic which means it might be super high rent - not fully justified in this quiet spot- sure its near a Mall but one that has emptied save One last store. It's in a smaller group of shops but Staples, Shoprite, Raymour, a National Liquidators are not exactly places Millennials will come and drop real $. - a Party store was just having its last day a few shops down. So went in with a few people and was PLEASANTLY surprised. Bright, fun, some blue lights here and there near the ceiling. Sushi was delicious- and good looking - but above all fresh - they deserve more tipping than buffers usually bring. Food was fine. Was it Ruby Buffet great? No not like Ruby - with the delicious items no one could resist. But Better looking desert - but no one in our group could make it back. Lucky to get to the car because Buffets cause some overeating - too many fun things to try. They had some roasted pork and beef which were ok but heavy. No roast pork spareribs like Global. Aome dumping but not the same level - And any chicken dishes there was way too fried over shredded looking and didnt appear to BE normal chicken pieces- someone tried soup and it was better than other buffets. So enjoyed the tea, sushi, sesame balls with red bean paste - love those - string beans, mushrooms, coconut shrimp, salmon etc etc etc etc etc and the next etc was where we all we too far. My in laws love this place so they wanted to come here on Mother's day. I love a good buffet. Service was good, ambiance was nice. Food I ate was okay, they all loved their food. 10 minutes after eating I felt insanely sick. Everyone else was fine but I mean it's a buffet it's not like we all ate the same. It was just not a fun day for me and I wouldn't come back here. My mother in law said maybe it was my ozempic but I never got insanely ill after eating anywhere or anything else like this day lol. Being 20 minutes from home was the worst and I felt bad to make everyone leave so I just jumped in my car and left alone. They've been back a few times since then and even wanted us to go again I said no to soon after but I think I'd be willing to go again after a nice comment here from the owner :) I also added another star just for that. This buffet is very convenient and full of a sweet variety of options for a decent price. The variety of sushi options was what really drew me in. The fish quality is good for the price point. The pepper tuna was definitely my favorite. They have some pretty good cooked seafood such as flounder and salmon, but it's probably not worth it to come here if you aren't a sushi person Some of the non-seafood options were pretty undesirable but you don't come here for that. The service was fine and the atmosphere was very very pleasant for a buffet. The interior design and layout was much better than expected. This place finds a nice middle ground between a typical cheap buffet and an all you can eat sushi place. I definitely recommend checking it out if you're a seafood lover looking for some variety. I rarely go to buffet places, keeping that in mind, i didn't have high expectations. This was by far THE WORST restaurant i have ever eaten in. Sushi, dumplings, mei fun, was dried out. I had to spit a bad piece of sushi into a napkin. Every dish/plate i picked up was greasy on the bottom! And caked on food on bowls and utensils. This place is very dirty, from the front door( looks like its never been cleaned) to the dining room, bathrooms. I expressed the greasy plate and caked on food to the manager. He came back from the kitchen, and said yeah the person who does the dishes doesn't clean the bottom of the plates?!!! I said thats absurd! He took and off $7 for the dirty plates. Moral of the story, you get what you pay for This is a subpar experience, and i am warning anyone that goes there, to be prepared for the unsanitary conditions . read more

Here's the Scoop! Just heard about this buffet from my daughter. When we arrived my husband and I realized we were here when it was a barbecue buffet. My daughter treated us to dinner. The restaurant is well lit and beautifully decorated. Lots of seating and can accommodate groups. Nice size booths and table combinations. Upon entering you give your party number you're immediately escorted to a table. There's a Sushi section with many fresh choices. Love, live, love this buffet. A step up from the rest. Service, food and ambiance, the food is displayed and surfaces kept clean. Constant refills on foods liked most. Many fish and meat choices. Varieties of fresh vegetables seasoned and tasty. I came here with my cousin and niece, and for around thirty dollars per adult on the weekend, it was absolutely worth it. There is really nothing bad I can say about this place because everything we tried was genuinely good. The buffet selection was impressive, especially the sushi section which alone made the price feel justified. The grill area was another highlight offering steak, ribs, and other freshly grilled items cooked just right. I was pleasantly surprised to find seafood options that included crab legs and even lobster, which was pretty amazing. I managed to grab a few pieces myself and they were great. Desserts were what you would expect from a solid buffet with plenty of options to finish the meal. The service was fine overall. They did not come by to check on us often, but they kept up with clearing plates and refilling drinks promptly. The ambiance was lively and energetic, as you would expect from a popular buffet. It can get noisy and crowded at times, but it still felt comfortable enough to enjoy the meal. Despite the busy setting, I was able to have a nice catch up conversation with my aunt and cousin without feeling overwhelmed. All in all, Ocean Buffet delivers excellent value for the price. The variety, freshness, and quality of food are outstanding for a weekend buffet. I would definitely come back again, especially for the sushi and seafood selection. Lots of great options here at the new Ocean Buffet but my favorite by far was the choose your own hibachi grill option (pick your base- noodles, rice, etc, protein, veggies and sauce) and the chilled shrimp bar! The sushi bar had a lot of great options as well! The staff was very friendly and came by to refill drinks often. Plenty of seating all around the restaurant so you didn't feel on top of each other. Ambiance is very nice and so is service. I would love to give them more stars, but cannot. I went recently with friends when Ocean Buffet opened for lunch and some, no many of the dishes were on the cold side. But,in all fairness, I would go back. The food that I tasted was very good. The seaweed salad is the best I have ever tasted and their sushi also was delicious. I will have to try again and hope that all the hot food is not cold. Of course, next time I will choose food and have the grill chef cook it up and know that it will be hot. But I do recommend Ocean Buffet. There is CC a great abundance of food, just about style if Sushi. You can imagine. Not a sushi person so can't speak to the taste. All the buffet was hot and fresh, Salad bar had lots to choose from. It's been 9 months since my last visit, so I was hoping that things would have improved. The place is still beautiful, has great music in the background, a lot of staff and a large array of food. But that's where it ends. 90% of the food is room temperature, and the food either has no taste or is just salty. The Ice cream machine worked this time but it is more like ice milk, not good. The "machine is broken" sign is on the side, which makes me believe that it doesn't work often. read more

Honestly this place doesn't deserve ANY stars. Mgrwas very rude and refused to serve my family stating there was a "dress code ". I was dressed in kakis and a blouse my husband slacks and a sweater my daughter a tshirt and leggings. Meantime there were people smoking in the doorway dressed in hoodies and ripped jeans.I think it was more the fact that I was in a wheelchair cuz Since when is there a dress code at a buffet anyway. Please note this is my rating for it being a buffet! Rating in comparison to Long Island's #1 steakhouse doesn't make sense so I rated it in its own category* After months of anticipation, I was driving by and thought I saw cars in the lot. Flags were flying and the open sign was glowing! I called my boyfriend right away OCEAN BUFFET OPENED!!! I ran to the house and we headed over. With no wait but a busy restaurant we were greeted with a smile and seated right away. This place is beautiful! Very clean, they paid close attention to us. When our glass was just half full of soda, they asked if we wanted another drink. When our plates were finished, they came and cleared the table right away. We tried different types of rolls, raw bar items, some of their specialty dishes, and YUM! The sashimi was on ice and generously portioned. The rolls varied from classic to chefs specials and everything we tried we loved. Crab rangoons are usually a hit or miss, but these were good! The string beans were crunchy and fresh, hot bar area was replenished throughout our time there and everything was a great temperature. I was so excited for the honey chicken because I used to get it from one spot which closed and haven't been able to find the same one since and this place brought it back for me. YUM! Garlic oysters as well as raw oysters were great. The fish was light and fluffy. They offer many salads, soups and desserts. I didn't get to take photos of everything as I was so excited to start tasting! As a part of the grand opening, the prices are lower for the time being. $27.99 for a Saturday night buffet dinner, $2.49 per soda, water was not charged (not sure if they charge for water normally, bc we ordered sodas first). Ok so the place is bigger then it looks and the food selections are placed all around the room so there is very little "traffic". Great variety good quality and the servers are on top of anything you need. They are quick to assist but not rush you. Highly recommend. The good-The wait wasn't too bad and there were a lot of options for everyone in our group to head to a different section. The bad-there were not enough staff present to combat the throngs of people present. Probably a fine place to come if you have lots of kids &/or picky eaters since there are so many options. The hot food is pretty greasy & mostly breading or featuring gristly meats. The sushi was ok, seafood was way overcooked, the salads were floating in melty ice baths, patrons were pretty messy & the cleanliness of the food trays was generally hard to keep up with for the staff that was there-even though they were doing their best. This place does as well as can be expected for the kind of place it is. I honestly don't what to suggest as an improvement or how the more clean, tasty and orderly places we've visited in the past kept up and kept their places so clean and tidy! I felt crammed in-constantly had someone running/swerving around us with a plate of sweets or pile of chicken tenders, on their way back to wherever their parents were seated. This establishment is beautiful inside and very clean. We went yesterday which was a holiday so they had "Dinner" items out. I had crab legs. All kinds of shrimp, sashimi and crawfish. My only complaint is that the food wasn't hot. The staff was friendly and always filled up our tea.For such a pretty place inside they should work on the outside a bit more . I have been wanting to try this buffet since I heard about it a few months ago. We'll, I was finally able to drag my son with me last night. It is immaculate inside. The chafing dishes are all extremely clean. The staff is very attentive and so nice. Now the real reason I came here is the food, of course. I started with the sushi, which was not bad at all. I have some salmon sashimi which was very fresh and nice and cold. I also had a cucumber and crab mean wrapped in salmon and topped with roe. It was light and very delicious. I also had some peel and eat shrimp, which were nice and large and fresh as well. As for all.the other hot dishes, they were your basic dishes that you find at every other buffet. They were good, but most of the ones I had were either warm or just plain cold. Now the crab legs are what I came for...HUGE disappointment! They were tiny and had absolutely NO flavor. Almost like they were left in water too long. When I say no flavor, I mean ZERO flavor. I literally had to Crack them all open so the wait staff would think I ate them. So, in conclusion if you dont care about crab legs then I would say try it out.
