Cinnabar location should really survive the restaurant test of time. The staff has always been top notch along with the various food options and clean, nicely kept decor. The seafood has always been super fresh and picture perfect, made to order every time. Jumping in on one of the all you can eat options is worth it, as it truly gives you an option to try familiar and new items that hopefully become a fan favorite. Cocktail and Drink menu is vast and super tasty whether you opt alcoholic beverages or non. Dessert menu is limited, but after eating all you can of the menu I suppose room in the tummy is limited. Could be nice though to have a few more small bite options outside of an ice cream cup. Purchasing a Groupon to discount your final bill is super easy, and easy to hit minimal required total after ordering an adult beverage or two. Opted to celebrate my NYE Birthday here this past year for my first try and came back again recently for Mother's Day Unisex restrooms are kept neat and there is at least the first one has a baby changing table. First, if you're like me and avoid AYCE in general, don't be put off by the huge signs that now cover the entrance to the restaurant. A lot of people won't trust a vegan's sushi review so I took photos of my husband's and father's sushi/sashimi platters because they are that beautiful. And they said the quality of the sushi is equal to the presentation. I loved my veggie rolls (my favorites are the AAC, avocado/cucumber and peanut avocado). Everything is fresh, the avo perfectly ripe. And they do the rolls right with sesame seeds (it drives me crazy when places skimp on the sesame seeds!) And we got to sit in the birdcages again. The all-you-can-eat lunch special had a limited but well varied menu. The quality of the fish was always consistent and very good, enough that I felt comfortable with my young daughter eating it. For appetizers we had the kani salad which was really good and unique, had apple slivers which I've never had in kani salad and was a nice touch. We also had the soup dumpling sampler, loved it. For entrees we had the roasted half duck, and the tuna roll with crunchy rice, both great. For dessert we had this mochi like dessert I can't remember the name, also good. The service though-- waiter was very... nice, but really confused and slow. It took us over 3 hours to eat because drinks took 40 mins to come out, the second round was wrong and took 20 mins, and then 20 minutes to find him for the check, which was also wrong. To be honest the women sitting next to us were complaining so bad about him, and my friend and I were like ew how rude, but they were right lol. Really should be a 3.5 star for experience, but it's not the restaurants fault and the food was good. The table next to us with a different server turned over 3 times while we wait/ate. The bar area floor was also completely flooded and you had to walk through puddles to the dining room which was gross. Would I come back? But when I arrived after 5pm, they said I can sit by the bar in booth until 7:20pm. The decor by the bar was nice, the booth looked similar to a birds cage. I am BEYOND grateful to have recently won a giveaway gift card to Cinnabar in Massapequa, and I can honestly say that everything we tried was INCREDIBLE! (All caps = my utmost enthusiasm.) Their attention to detail manifests as culinary work of art, and we were over the moon about all the delectable dishes that we were thankfully able to devour. Their colorful and artisanal dim sum sampler was a dream, the spicy tuna tartare crispy rice was perfect, and the blue fin toro and caviar was absolutely luxurious. (Dry ice was even included for the cool dramatic effect!) We also reveled in their melt-in-your-mouth Tomahawk short rib (this literally melted in my mouth and was rich in the best possible way), and basked in their silky Dan Dan noodles. PLUS, we also sampled their special selection of assorted nigiri (with truffle and uni toppings galore), and we couldn't walk away without trying their foie gras and eel toast that was certainly exquisite with a capital E.
