The Buffet To-Go option, which we chose currently ranges in price as follows: - Regular Buffet $6.99/lb - Mixed Buffet $7.99/lb - All Seafood $8.99/lb - All Sushi $9.99/lb Surveying the gamut of items, I ended up with a mix of regular + seafood @ $7.99/lb. There is a fairly large dining area if you choose to dine in, allowing you to take full advantage of the buffet at an additional price. Flaming Grill asks all of their customers to, 'Be Kind, Be Honest, Be Respectful.' Especially when choosing the Buffet To-Go option, trusting their customers to use the honor system. I can't say much about the staff, except for the lady at the cashier. Sitting at the Center of a strip mall, Flaming Grill & Supreme Buffet is what you expect it to be, with its large font out front, and using words like "Supreme" to describe its foot, the buffet is focuses on broader American and Asian fusion type like cuisines. With inflation being a constant part of the everyday narrative, I'm just glad a restaurant like this still exists today. The hibachi station was manned by a single chef (sometimes two) and was cooked on point. The flavours were better than expected and on par with going to a dedicated authentic hibachi, I would just come back for this alone. 2) Blue crab: not bad 3) Salmon and other rolls: okay as well 4) Mussels and clam: quite good 5) squid: not bad! 6) Chicken wings: good 7) Steamed fish: very flavourful and authentic 8) dessert: the tiramisu was good! I've been here a few times, but this is the first review from me. I'll start out by saying prices for lunch or dinner buffet aren't too bad; lunch is about $15, and dinner $20, one thing to note is that soda or juices, flavor drinks etc are not included in these prices. We typically opt for water since the food is salty, you'll need lots of water. My family and I usually visit for lunch, however, I know during dinner there's some nicer options, such as crab legs, and other sea food selections. The food selections are ok, it's standard buffet items, with a good variety of sushi, and hibachi which most buffets do not offer. You'll find your typical fried rice, and chowmein, along with lots of chicken; fried, teriyaki and a few more. The sushi stations are always loaded with many different variations of sushi; raw, cooked, and some cold salads also, seaweed and kani (cold crab) salads. The hibachi is well with the $15 alone. You can choose from rice, or noddles, all the vegetables and all the protein you desire. I usually do not get it because it can get very salty. Staff members are good at walking round constantly picking up the empty plates from tables, it's all you can eat, so they'll be coming to your table quite often. I personally think if you come here just for sushi you can't go wrong with the price, or even the hibachi if you are ok with the salt intake. The restaurant is always clean. One thing I always notice is at the very front of the restaurant they always sell some random items. This is a typical buffet. Lots of fried food, sushi and hibachi stations. Lunch had some seafood. The steamed fish and grilled salmon were tasty but they ran out and did not replenish it. I was there at 11:30 and it was out by 12:15 ish. Raw and cooked clams, mussels were there. They replenished slowly. No lobster or oysters or crab. Service was decent. They servers try to clear the table and refill the drinks. The place has a nice party room! A lot of families with graduation parties were there. Everything was decent but we need to try this place for dinner to see if they have lots of decent , good food! The front area was a lot hotter temperature wise than the back. Invited by the teens after a graduation I came to this spot for the lunch. My children are crazy about sushi AND hibachi so it's cool that this place has both. The variety of different things from fried foods, meats, seafoods, soft items like Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and a jello bar made it a true buffet. The chocolate fountain was not on deck but that's ok. On top of all the different things from salad to ice cream I want to say the fried foods section was excellent. I don't usually indulge but I did yesterday afternoon. I believe it was $150 for 7 adults and one child not bad for AYCE. There was parking right out front and the best part was the woman in the front. She was so super sweet and polite. Bombarded with a bunch of after graduation goers (our groups combined were over 20)- no they were not. They threw us in the party room and quick thinking because as the lunch passed, the restaurant filled. They gave us pitchers of drinks and the service and attention was prompt and constant. Honestly not my cup of tea (Chinese food buffet) but I have zero negative things to say. One can indulge in a guilty pleasure like fried foods now and again and live to tell about it. It was a three star rating before I bit into raw bacon and raw shrimp. Other food was typical buffet fare. I liked the ice cream section where they had individual packaged ice creams and bars. I came here to celebrate my mothers birthday and I had a decent experience. I came on a Tuesday night so it wasn't busy. The parking lot was big and spacious. The prices were decent and the drinks have free refills. This place has too many signs like don't waste food, don't lie about your kids age for cheaper prices and more. We attended a burial today and went here after as the luncheon place picked by the bereaved family. I am not into Buffett much lately but I'd say I missed going to an unlimited dining like this. Sadly my experience on this place is not that great. Our group of 7 were the last that came in and the staff took a while to figured out how we will be seated together with the rest of the party . There were lot of tables and chairs movement. The choices for hot lunch were not that much. Still there was an option for everyone. Sushi spreads were a bit pleasant. The big chocolate fondue was a hit. The ice cream freezer was a favorite by everyone, easier way to pick the wrapped ice cream choice. The place is out dated. It needs more lighting. It's nice to find a clean buffet that is loaded up with a huge selection of food to enjoy. You start off with a nice said to start and then go for the big stuff! Their tray of ribs were delicious, all huge and meaty Chinese style ribs were great. The hibachi beef was delicious and tender, sesame chicken were nice pieces and delicious, nothing skimpy here. The stuffed shrimp were good and the crabmeat with cheese was good as well. There was too much here to hit it all so that means I will have to return. Safety Issue! We went last night (Sunday), arriving at 8:40 pm. The restaurant's posted closing time is 10 pm, but just after 9 pm, staff started full-scale cleaning--moving chairs and tables, mopping, and using cleaning chemicals right around diners. Since this is a buffet where guests need to leave the table multiple times, the early cleaning made the environment rushed, uncomfortable, and unsafe. I am legally blind, and navigating while the staff were mopping and moving furniture was especially hazardous. My wife even slipped and got hurt on the wet floor. When we asked a waiter why this was happening, we couldn't get a clear answer. This was not only unprofessional but also unsafe for customers. Management should seriously review its closing practices. Yes, there was a yellow caution mark sitting on the wet floor, but deep cleaning while people are dining around is a safety issue and unhealthy! I tried to make an online complaint, but was not able to do that through the website, nor did I find any email address! read more

Since I live nearby and work on Grand Avenue, I have gone here very often since they first opened. It is far superior to the other old buffet on Grand Avenue a few blocks south. The food is always fresh, the steam table trays are refilled often with fresh hot food . The food is very tasty , well prepared and well seasoned. The staff is very friendly and the price is right, for the good food you get at lunch and dinner. Because of all the good food and positive reviews, many people have found this wonderful buffet and it tends to be very crowded now on weekend nights and holidays . Try going during the week for dinner , or better yet , for lunch 11:30 am to 3: 30 PM and stay away from the crowds (weekends and holidays) so you don't have to wait in line. The party room in the rear of the place can take larger family groups and celebrations . i don't think you will be disappointed here . Try it out soon and leave a good review . read more

I went to the flaming grill in Baldwin 5/25/25 I loved the spot the decor was great, but it was a guy there doing the hibachi and since that's my favorite I chose hibachi me and my bf told the guy she is allergic to seafood therefore you have to clean the grill and keep her food separate. The dude didn't speak English too well he had his headphones on not listening, and he mixed her steak and my shrimp together. She had to do her food all over. The hibachi wasn't the best because the food had burnt chips of food like the grill is never cleaned between meals. I wish I would've taken advantage of the buffet not the hibachi. The sushi was overall just ok, some was good, some had been sitting out awhile and was a little dry. The Chinese food was very good, I mainly had general tsos chicken, a crab with cheese medley and some coconut shrimp, which was my favorite. Most buffets are kind of similar with some having better sushi than this location. The desserts were good and included a chocolate fondue dipping station, however they didn't have a soft ice cream machine, only frozen Dixie cups and ice cream sandwiches etc. Good overall, just not my first choice, especially for the sushi. read more

Not the best open buffet that you can go to, and not the worst either. We came here on a Saturday night, with over an hour wait for 9 people. People were waiting more than us. I mean $15 per person, you cannot beat the price, the amount of people for this price, the wait is expected. Would come here again, probably for lunch or very early dinner around 4-5 pm in the afternoon. The time we started dinner, food at at steam tables were half empty, not refreshed enough. The food area should be separated from the wait area. At one point there were so many people waiting, people had to expand to the buffet area, picking on food while waiting, getting ice cream from the freezer. So funny, i would stand over there, get my plate, fill it up, eat my food while standing, leave the place and nobody would recognize it, they were clueless! We were told the wait was 30 mins when we paid, when it exceeded over and hour and half, had to mention about it, they apologized with the amount of people waiting , not their fault. This buffet in my opinion is one of the best Chinese food buffets in Nassau county , I come all the way from massapequa to Baldwin to eat here because the buffet that is near me is just awful. I find that all the fried foods here are fried to perfection, nothing greasy nothing dried out which means they're using the proper deep fryer temps which really sets this place apart from other buffets. Exactly where do I start? There is so much to choose from here. Let's start at the beginning. Flaming Grill is located in a large shopping center so there is plenty of parking with an easy in and out. You walk into a huge waiting area and fortunately I have always been seated very quickly. There is a tremendous amount of tables there, both in the main area and the additional private rooms. The establishment is well lit and there is not much outdoor light do the the size of the place, but it's never too dark and there are plenty of lights inside. Food... Where do I begin... All types of Chinese soups to start. Plenty of appetizers too. They also have an ample amount of shrimp, both cooked multiple ways and peel and eat. Ribs, Shumai, salads (great salad bar) and SUSHI.... I will admit, it's not the biggest selection but they make a lot of it and it moves quickly. It's always fresh. There is also plenty of fish selection including baked, broiled, and fried. There is salmon, whitefish, crabs and plenty (I mentioned it before,) shrimp. The big thing here is the fact that you can pick out a great selection of food and they cook it for you. There is beef, chicken, shrimp with lots and lots of vegetables. Lots of cooked meats including ribs and beef. I always take small portions so I am able to sample everything. I was extremely pleased how many staff they have on the floor to pick up the used plates. They are very attentive to their customers. Because of the size of this shop, and the amount of food they moves, they are always replacing... so the food is always fresh. After two visits, I am definitely a fan. There is defiantly something for everyone here. A head's up... it can get a little loud here as there are so many people always moving about. Where are the pork ribs? 2 unusual items that stood out were the butter potatoes and the chicken tacos. I just had to try these misfit items and was glad I did.
