Okay, this is my second time trying this place and although the food is great they messed up my order both times!! The first time i traveled all the way back because I asked for no avocado (i can't eat it, i know, i know) but i was so adamant that i was allergic and they still put it on. They were nice about it and extremely apologetic. This time, i get all the way home and there is no wasabi or ginger. This is still the best sushi in the area, and the quality of the fish compares with the top sushi places in NYC that are much, much more expensive. This is truly one of the best sushi places i've ever been to. The tuna is consistently very fresh, pink, and the rest of the fish is the same. The lunch special and fair prices on special roles truly make this a gem. If you're within 30 minutes, drive for it. Its a hole in the wall that's better than all the fancy Japanese restaurants where you pay for the ambiance. I really don't like giving bad reviews, but this place was aa huge disappointment. My gf and I ordered 3 different rolls and pork dumplings. My sweet potato roll was not aa sweet potato roll and tasted like literal plastic. The Philadelphia roll tasted very fishy and my gf had a hard part in the salmon at one point, which looked disgusting and completely ruined our appetite. Some of the best sushi I've ever had. Very fresh, and great portion. Almost no filler at all in the rolls. The ONLY reason this isn't a 5 star review is because of the price. I got 3 rolls, and a green tea and it came out to $23. Not including any soup or salad. Comparing this to the usual lunch specials at other places which is normally 11.99-12.99 this was very overpriced. I asked about the lunch special but there seemed to be a language barrier (or pretend language barrier). The woman running the shop was very sweet, and they gave me a piece of a new menu item to try while I waited. The interior is small with limited seating so I wouldn't suggest coming here for a nice sit down vibe. But for takeout I can say the quality and taste of the sushi is outstanding. The Best sushi in RVC! It's not a fancy sit in place but you do get to sit and watch the chefs prepare your roll. The sushi is delicious and tastes fresh. They have some unique rolls and every time I go in I can never decide what to get. I always feel welcomed when I come in. The only draw back that I have is that they close early, I wish they'd close a little bit later especially on weekends. This is probably the best sushi place in Nassau County. The fish is always really fresh, the people are always really nice, and everything is as accomodating as possible. If it's a slow night they will even make custom orders if they can and they do it happily to boot. Honestly, I was worried there wouldn't be good sushi in this area anymore since Taiko closed down but I'm glad I was wrong. On top of this, their fish is even fresher. Like really, their fish is excellent. Sometimes a place just does really good special rolls, but their pieces are mediocre. Not Wow Sushi. They're top quality in EVERY aspect.
