    Shrimp pad Thai

Let's start with the good stuff. Gorgeous interior. Not too much seating but I stopped in for take out. Now for the food: Tomkha soup - oh such delicious velvety coconut milk broth jam packed with chicken, onion and tiny slivers of lemongrass Shrimp pad Thai- shrimp cooked to absolute perfection and on a takeout order that traveled 1 hr. I don't know how they did it! Other than that the noodles in the pad Thai were also excellent. Very satisfying Red curry - beautiful full bodied flavor. Everything I'd imagine a red curry to be. Heat level is on point Tum senlek - this is a dish I've never heard of before but was curious about especially for the crispy pork belly. Let's just say it's a unique dish. Heat level is off the charts. What really upset me is that they forgot the pork belly! Overall the food is exquisite. Flavors are on point. I am absolutely coming back. Downside is had to wait over an hour for a pickup order and they forgot a key ingredient in a dish. That part I can't forgive and the only reason for the 4 not 5. It is super exciting that they have so many dishes I've never seen anywhere else before. They are new and super popular and I have no doubt my next visit will earn all 5 stars. I am eagerly awaiting my next trip there

This is a new Thai restaurant in Morton Village Shopping center. It's decorated beautifully. I love how the menus, dishes, utensils and decor all create this upscale homey atmosphere. The menu has dishes from all over Thailand. I can't wait to try them. My husband, daughter and I ordered things we typically like for a nice Thai dinner. I ordered the tomkha soup, which was delicious but very filling. My husband ordered the tomyum soup to start. Was light and good but spicy. I also enjoyed a green tea in a beautiful floral cup and saucer. For her entree, my daughter had the chicken satay. She didn't love it, but my husband and I thought it was really good. She really loved my husband's chicken pad Thai. He enjoyed it as well. I ordered the shrimp panang curry, was really good. Ample amount of shrimp and vegetables. A bit spicy but not too spicy for my taste. The service was slow, but it is a new restaurant, was packed, and only had 2 people working. I really enjoyed my meal and will for sure be back

New Thai restaurant in Plainview and a wonderful addition ! Beautiful, tasteful and cozy interior. Excellent service and delicious food. What more can you ask for? I guess convenient parking in the strip mall? Staff very friendly.

I don't usually leave a review only after one visit but this little place is worth it! Nicest staff - cordial polite and accommodating and omg the food and ambience are just great!!! A must try. My gf and I came here today for the first time after I saw a review online. She had the lychee and I had the passion fruit sparkling mocktails and they were to die for. Shared some food - basil dumplings and pad tai chicken cashew nut - one with tofu all delicious and fresh. The seasoning is right on the money! Thanks will be going back soon!

The most incredible thai experience on Long Island. The food is fresh, flavorful and the ambience is amazing. The staff (Oliver!!) is amazing, so welcoming and make the experience even more special. Every dish had so much flavor. Highly recommend the basil puffs (incredible!!!), roti, short rib khao soi and kuah kling

The Thai food is just decent . Nothing really special but the inside is beautiful. I would recommend that they get a bit cheaper and bigger portions. The service is very not existent they stand around until your finished and look at you . I just wish they would cater to children ans would do something unique not like every thai place

Bravo! Bravo! Absolutely outstanding Thai food at great prices and a great location close to me…read more Everything on go. I ordered the chicken pad see ew, beef red curry, chicken satay, and basil chicken. Tried to hit every meat group. Next time gotta try the fish The Chicken Pad See Ew was a standout. Wide rice noodles with that perfect chewy texture and beautiful wok hei char. The savory-sweet soy-based sauce coated everything perfectly, and the mix of tender chicken and juicy pieces made it incredibly satisfying. The Beef Red Curry was rich and aromatic with a luscious coconut milk base. The red curry paste had great depth. There was layers of lemongrass, galangal, and spices. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the bamboo shoots, bell peppers, and Thai basil were fresh and plentiful. I loved how it had a nice kick that built up without overpowering the dish. The Chicken Satay came out perfectly grilled with beautiful char marks. The chicken was juicy and marinated well, and the peanut sauce on the side was creamy, nutty, and addictive. Finally, the Basil Chicken delivered that classic Thai street-food flavor. Plenty of fragrant holy basil, lots of garlic, and just the right amount of chili heat. The chicken was tender with great texture, and it paired amazingly with jasmine rice. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and beautifully presented. The portions were very generous too -- we had plenty of leftovers for the next day. As my son would say "10 out of 10!" but since we are on yelp, we'll have to settle with a 5. Give this place a try.

Portions were also an issue. The chicken came in a tiny container, AND was less than half-filled. The shrimp in the Panang Curry were a bright spot (perfectly cooked!), but the curry itself lacked the typical creamy consistency. Hopefully they take this as constructive feedback.

We were all women and luckily able to squeeze into a table for 4 in the alcove area. Like I said, it was a bit busy so service was slow. I had to ask the waiter to come and take our order and even then it took a bit for our order to come out. As we were there for a group lunch, the wait didn't bother us too much. We all opted for the lunch special which is a decent deal, $15 for an app and entree. I got the ginger salad and the drunken noodles with chicken. The salad was tasty but overdressed, I wished I had asked for the dressing on the side. The drunken noodles were not too spicy and a bit too sweet for my taste. I feel they used the same sauce as the pad see ew and added a little spice to make it the drunken noodle. We also ordered the mango sticky rice. They only had one left so we shared it amongst the 5 of us. We were taken aback by the green color of the rice but the color didn't add any strange flavor. Would i return? Based on the dishes I had I don't know. It's a cute place and a good lunch deal so maybe, but I will definitely try other dishes, maybe one of the curries?

3.5 Stars for their lunch specials!…read more This was our first visit, and we only ordered a salad and two lunch specials. I would definitely come back to try other items from their regular menu. I found the entrees in the lunch special a little skimpy. These are the dishes we shared: -- Papaya Salad ($12): this is from their regular menu, and I thought it was excellent! Well balanced and so tasty! -- Drunken Noodles w.Beef (Lunch Special $14.95): this came with a Spring Roll and your choice of either Soup or Salad. We chose the Soup, which was a Tom Yum Soup. The Soup was very spicy but the Drunken Noodles were very mild; almost bland. It definitely needed more flavors and wok hei, but still ok. -- Massaman Curry w.Shrimp (Lunch Special $14.95): this came with a Spring Roll and your choice of either Soup or Salad. We chose the Salad, which came with a Peanut sauce. The Salad was actually pretty good; the peanut sauce was slightly sweet. The Massaman Curry w.Shrimp was very weak in flavor and only came with 3 little shrimps. I would suggest you order a different protein and skip the shrimp. Customer service was good; albeit there was nobody to greet us when we first arrived, so we just seated ourselves. But service got better. They didn't rush us to order and let us linger after we finished eating. But after a while, we were asked to leave since they close the restaurant in between the lunch and dinner service (between 3:30-4:30pm). Sorry, we were not aware of this! All in all, a decent first experience. Next time, I'd skip the lunch specials and just order off their regular menu.

We ordered the Khao Soi Noodle Soup which was a curry based soup. In the order you have a choice of protein and noodle type. We got chicken and egg noodles. I did like how the chilis and noodles were separated from the soup so the noodles weren't saturated and you can control the spice level. We also got Pad woon sen and the crab fried rice. The pad woon sen had a good ratio of chicken, veggies and noodles. Our favorite though was the crab fried rice. It was nice and fluffy, lots of fresh crab meat and very tasty. I would definitely order the fried rice again. Next time maybe I'll try dining in as their interior look nicely decorated.

By the way, their website does not work. Anyway, we ended up being the only people eating in for the 2 hours that we were there. I don't know if they weren't busy because it was a weekday and gloomy weather outside but our server was very friendly/sweet/welcoming and we were both happy with our meals and drinks! There is a small free parking lot behind the restaurant. I almost missed the entrance to the lot but it's literally right next to the restaurant, which is a small cute looking stand alone house. There were tables out front but the day we went it was a little chilly/rainy so we opted to sit inside. There were a few tables inside and even a small bar so we just sat in a booth. The overall decor inside was very cute! There's also a bathroom in the back. I ordered the Lunch Special: Pad See Ew with Shrimp and a Thai Iced Tea. I forgot what my friend ordered but she really liked it and said it had a home-cooked meal feel to it which was a positive thing. My food was also delicious though a bit on the smaller portion size and it came with a small salad (you can choose the salad or Tom Yum Soup) and a small spring roll. The Lunch Special Menu is only available Monday to Friday 11:30AM-3:00PM except holidays. Given the culinary brilliance here, if you order one of your favorites, it'll be done well, but you're better off trying something unique that might not be on the menu at your local Chinese, Indian or Thai spot. Chili tofu and basil ginger fish were two great showcases for the complex spices available here. (I'm a real American hero, I ate fourths since my parents preferred leftovers that didn't have the top spice levels). And if you're spice-adverse yet chili-curious, the honey chili potato is worth a shot. These are essentially fries. Our server, Ten, was amazing. He adeptly handled the multiple time frames of our orders and is ready to provide suggestions for those who didn't spend 40 minutes researching on Yelp. Part 2. I wish there was editing capability for older reviews. I'm a two-sentence guy - are there fish tacos, does it have strange hours of operation and will they sneer at me for wearing Kohls? - and my first Kunga Kitchen attempt was a bit extra. I'm someone who thinks movies can be better if the character doesn't change or learn anything, but I tried for three-act structure and can't possibly top that original review so it would be better if I could a couple of recent entrees to the first one.
