    Fried ice cream for dessert.

Everything was awesome. Went with a group of friends. Will highly recommend. I had the Thai Basil with Shrimp and some crab fried rice which were both delicious. The fried ice cream is a must have!! The ice cream was 'flaming'. What an experience!

One of my new favorite Thai spots on the island! I've been meaning to try this spot for a long time and finally did for Valentine's Day. We made reservations and were seated quickly. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly, and put our orders in fairly quickly. The ambience was very relaxed even though it was fairly busy with almost every table occupied. Despite that, we had really good service. We ordered the Calamari and Curry Puff for apps and had the Spicy Crispy Pork Belly and Roasted Duck in Red Curry for entrees. We also decided to grab some cocktails and tried the Sawasdee Storm and Mai Thai. The cocktails were really great and fairly strong, especially the Sawasdee Storm. I enjoyed the Mai Thai and finished it fairly quickly. The pricing was good for the amount we got and we enjoyed it. The Calamari was delicious and well made and seasoned. I loved that it was tender without being too chewy. The Curry Puffs were 4 pieces and they were flavorful and delicious. I loved that they weren't too oily or flaky. The entrees were absolutely delicious! I loved the Spicy Crispy Pork Belly and the flavorful sauce it came with. I wish I'd gotten it a bit spicier but next time! The Roasted Duck in Red Curry was the winner for the evening. It was so tender and falvorful and just delicious! We enjoyed it immensely! Lastly, we grabbed Coconut Pudding and Thai Taro Custard for dessert, both of which were perfect! I paired my dessert with one of their award-winning teas, Koh Samet Sun, which made our dessert perfect! Overall, this is a great spot with very friendly staff and delicious food! We ended up meeting the owner as we left and his dedication to great service made the evening all the more enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend popping by if you're in the area!

This was my first visit and it was a good experience. I enjoyed the variety of options on the menu and fast service. I will definitely be back to visit.

Tonight I ordered the drunken noodles to go and they were pretty good! the noodles were cooked perfectly and the flavors were definitely there! However, I was quite annoyed when the man who handed over the food told me I couldn't go outside to take photos of the dish because it was only for dine-in which is understandable but at the time of me ordering the restaurant was pretty dead only a handful of people INSIDE, so it didn't make much sense. Overall, great food but disappointing service.

Thank you Yelpers for the suggestion. I had this place bookmarked for a while and figured next time I'm in the neighborhood, I must try and am glad I did. The restaurant is roomy and beautifully decorated. There's a few pictures on the walls that depict Thailand's landscape. Having been there myself, it was nice to find this spot for great Thai food. Drunken noodles was the review favorite so my hubby ordered it and he really enjoyed it. I ordered the masaman curry to see if it was the real deal and it was delicious. My kids ordered a few appetizers and had the chicken with peanut sauce entree. Everything was tasty and well executed. The money bag chicken appetizer was really crispy so that made it very enjoyable. And the classic curry puff appetizer we always have to get, was so good here. We couldn't get enough of it. The Thai Iced teas were very good as well, great flavor and not overly sweet. Best dessert: mango with sticky rice. It was true to the ones we've had in Thailand so this was a super nice treat. The only reason why I didn't give this place a five star review was the service. The staff was quick to seat and greet but not very friendly. I felt rushed to order as well even though we were well ahead of closing time. Also oddly, multiple servers walked around and came to us but whenever I needed someone, one would waive over another to help. Just odd. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza so parking was easy. The bar is a full on bar with a full time bartender on hand. The cocktails looked good (variety) but I didn't order any... Will have to return for those.

Sawasdee is a small restaurant but it has all the classic Thai dishes! They have lunch specials during the week, which make it a great choice for take out. I'm a big fan of their Chicken Pad Thai as it also comes with a salad and spring roll. Everything is packed neatly so you don't have to worry about spills when driving. My husband and I stopped by for lunch on Saturday and there were plenty of open tables. We shared the Curry Puffs as an appetizer and they were served warm with a nice dipping sauce. My husband ordered the Chicken Massaman Curry, which comes with a bowl of white rice. The curry was very creamy but the potatoes weren't cooked long enough. I ordered the Chicken Drunken Noodle. It had a kick to it but tasted a bit bland to me. I'll come back and try the Pad See Ew next time.

Confirmed I would be back for sushi and picked Valentine's Day to try it out. Not surprised place was jam packed when I arrived. Online order promised 20 minutes, I showed up a couple of minutes after that to see a bag making its way out of the kitchen. To my pleasant surprise that bag was indeed my food! Timing was great. Sushi was well assembled, had good flavor. Would be back again. Only little thing was got the tom yum soup with shrimp. It literally had 1 shrimp. Big. But single shrimp little bit disappointing. Overall great experience. Might be my new go to sushi spot!

Salmon roll the fish was old and tasted like it should have been thrown out two days ago!! Who The F would serve that!! Boston roll was horrible lettuce too much fake crab bad. And they didn't provide soy sauce plates so it made for a shitty all around experience. Tuna roll acceptable I get better sushi at Stew Lenard's !! Go here for great sushi comparatively!! At a better price!! My wife had chicken teriyaki it was swimming with sauce and her salad was the size of a tangerine. Not even a tangelo. Miso soup vile!! Don't waste your money. It is definitely the most decent sushi place in Locust Valley. We ordered a few appetizers like gyoza ( chicken veggie and pork veggie), edmame , wing, sushi & Sashimi plate, several rolls and two udon bowls ( beef and pork) , and mochis 3 flavors). Gyoza was average average. They are refrozen type. Chicken wings were typical Japanese size ( Totemo chisaii desu). They are super duper sweet to my liking. I would call they were Korean-inspired wings not Japanese. The sushi & sashimi plate and rolls were fresh and buttery. Each sashimi slice was about half centimeter thick (a perfect standard for authentic Japanese sashimi). I liked the rice underneath. Many places often overcook the rice that makes rice mushy. I like my sushi rice has boundary. The combo plate accomplished that. Thumbs up. I loved the finely threaded radish garnish underneath every sashimi plate. This place particular. Because only really fresh order to made shredded radish could achieve as soft as hand pull noodles, full of pleasure. I always enjoy them as part of my salad. The perils leafs were also vibrate. I liked my salad without their store-made heavy mayo- ginger looking dressing. Instead, I enjoyed it with their yuzu sauce. My son liked his udon. He said it reminded him some Shokodo in Tokyo. The nice surprise treat was the beautifully presented hamachi collar from the owner. Quality fresh and buttery. We asked if they offer any dessert since none could be found on the menu. Yes, the owner suggested mochi in three flavors, vanilla, mocha and mango. We got one of each. They were very much like those at Whole Foods ones. Good. The service was minimum. It is a Japanese way. They leave the time for your privacy. I will recommend the place for my son's school mom meetups. The address is 296 Forest Ave. Instead of 295

We were all women and luckily able to squeeze into a table for 4 in the alcove area. Like I said, it was a bit busy so service was slow. I had to ask the waiter to come and take our order and even then it took a bit for our order to come out. As we were there for a group lunch, the wait didn't bother us too much. We all opted for the lunch special which is a decent deal, $15 for an app and entree. I got the ginger salad and the drunken noodles with chicken. The salad was tasty but overdressed, I wished I had asked for the dressing on the side. The drunken noodles were not too spicy and a bit too sweet for my taste. I feel they used the same sauce as the pad see ew and added a little spice to make it the drunken noodle. We also ordered the mango sticky rice. They only had one left so we shared it amongst the 5 of us. We were taken aback by the green color of the rice but the color didn't add any strange flavor. Would i return? Based on the dishes I had I don't know. It's a cute place and a good lunch deal so maybe, but I will definitely try other dishes, maybe one of the curries?
