They are in their second year of business and this is their first entrepreneurial venture, give them a break. They did this because they love to share their love for Thai food and it shows. The drunken noodles were delicious. Thr noodles themselves were great. The veggies and tofu nicely cooked - still had a little crunch to them. The portion of the drunken noodles was a bit small. This has been my favorite Thai experience. The location looks like nothing too special outside. But Once you get in its like a breath of fresh everything. Its a very tidy clean resturant. You can tell they are very prestine. We were able to call in our reservation before coming in which was awesome on a saturday night. So once we got there we were seated. The waitress was also very kind and nice . The food was incredibly fresh. The Mai Tai was perfect for a pre meal drink worth it. App we had the golden bags..which are basically cute egg rolls. Gluten makes me sick so we thought this restaurant, with several gf dishes, would be a good choice on May 13th. After letting the server know I'm gluten free I ordered the gf appetizer "Crispy duck salad". She checked with the chef and returned to tell me that the duck is actually fried with foods containing gluten. I ordered gf "grilled jumbo prawn with broccolli" instead. On the way out I spoke with the owner about correcting the menu and he said he would. I checked back last week and the menu is exactly the same. PS The day after eating here I was gluten sick so I'm pretty sure that either soy sauce was used in the shrimp or the broccoli was steamed in water also used for foods containing gluten. Definitely quality Thai here with great ambience. The bar itself is beautiful and the place has a modern sleek vibe. We ordered the golden bags and chicken satay to start- both excellent. The peanut sauce for the satay was A+. Golden bags, crispy, not oily at all. I had the spicy Thai basil with shrimp and it was flavorful, with the perfect amount of spice. I also had the Sawasdee storm cocktail(sweet gingery rum drink) which I really liked. I sampled my brothers Thai iced tea- highly recommended as well. The only thing we didn't like was the dessert. My review is way long overdue but here it is... I visited this place a couple of times since it opened. The decor is very nice, kinda darkly lit modern kind of feeling. The staff is courteous as well. It's in the Plainview Shopping Center and the store is more spacious than it appears on the outside. I had been able to try a few of their appetizers. The dumplings and satays are ok, not bad but not outstanding in my mind either. Same with the chicken wings and the shumai. The bbq pork appetizer was beautifully presented with the glutinous rice in a bamboo cube. My favorite entree from here is on the "special menu". It is the crab fried rice. There's chunks of sweet crab meat (and not imitation crab like you get in those California rolls or "seafood salad" either) in a nicely spiced fried rice. The black peppers in the rice give a nice zesty contrast to the crab and it is possibly the best fried rice I've ever eaten. The green curry and the pad see ew was good, too. The place is a bit pricey for Thai food but the upside is that most of the things that I've gotten from here were huge in portion and even the worst dishes were good enough to eat. The upscale twists they put into the dishes makes it a little bit different from your average run-of-the-mill Thai places in America. I would not mind coming back for a special dinner. read more

Definitely good curry puffs with flavor but the money bags were a bit underwhelming. For the entree I got the chicken panang curry which was not spicy at all. I live maybe 5 minutes away from Plainview Center, and come to this area about 4-5x a week. When I was getting starbucks, I noticed the name (it wasn't open at the time- maybe about a month ago) and immediately thought Thai Food! I wasn't sure what to expect when ordering from here because normally thai food in the city is sometimes better than in Long Island; and a lot of time, thai restaurants have the same basic things with an exception of 2-3 items. When I checked out the menu online, I was SHOCKED! Yes, I did see some typical thai food like Pad See Ew and Green curry, but I saw a lot of different, and new options! For example, they have a Thai Burger- I wouldn't have wanted to get it, but I saw the description and how it is mixed with thai herbs and spices. Being indian that had to be a must get- and the fact that I love thai food meant that I needed to try it. We ordered 2 things to go- Thai burger and the Moo Yang (pieces of pork in a special sauce with sticky rice) I didn't get a chance to go inside, but my sister said it's beautiful with white and purple decor. I got a glimpse of the inside when driving past it. It is really pretty. The manager even said to come at night when the lights are on, and when there is more of a rush. Anyways, once we got home, we started to eat! The pork was some of the softest pork I have ever eaten in my life (a lot of restaurants make it dry or hard to eat). The sauce it was cooked in was perfect for the sticky rice to absorb- I honestly could have eaten the sticky rice soaked in the sauce. The thai burger was REALLY REALLY GOOD. The bun and onions were basic, but that patty was absolutely life changing- tasted a little like tom yum soup, and the sriracha mayo was a perfect addition to the burger. I didn't have high hopes for the fries because I wouldn't expect a thai restaurant to serve amazing fries, but I was wrong once again! They were perfectly cut and salted.
