    shrimp Pad Thai all mixed
    Stephanie T.

UThai Bistro is located in Woodbury Common Shopping Center. My friend and I came to UThai Bistro on a Thursday night around 6:30pm. There are plenty of parking spots and the shopping center has many other businesses. The decor in UThai Bistro is very pretty and it is cozy inside. I ordered a Thai Iced Tea and a shrimp Pad Thai. The food was very good, flavorful, and very filling. It is a good portion. Usually, Thai iced tea is served in tall glasses, but this was served in a small fish bowl. The shrimp Pad Thai had stir-fried thin rice noodles, bean sprouts, scallions, and egg in a sweet tamarind sauce. The ground peanuts were separate to allow you to mix in how much you like. Service was amazing and we stayed here for 2.5 hours. They didn't rush us at all and just did the usual check in. UThai Bistro is a great Thai spot in Woodbury.

Crispy Spring Rolls and Chicken Satay

Last minute lunch plans it's a cute small restaurant. Surprisingly it's smaller than, I expected but decent for a small gathering. We ordered spring rolls and chicken satay for appetizers. Main course we ordered drunken noodles medium spicy with tofu and panang curry with jasmine rice. The food was fine not bad I liked the appetizers and the curry was good. I love drunken noodles but not sure how I felt about these they were average. For me personally service needs work for sure. The menu that I had was wet all the pages had water all over. Our host didn't even check up on us to see if we needed anything. Instead we had to ask for things like can we have napkins or a straw or more water. Plus point there's plenty of parking that is free given I'm from Queens parking is definitely a blessing as I don't like the struggle of searching for a spot.

Love this place! It has amazing food and the service is very fast. We usually do take out so we have not sat down to eat but when we go pick it up it looks like a nice place for an intimate dinner. The drunken noodles/pad kee mao are always a great choice and the red curry is delicious! It is our go to for Thai in the Huntington area

Cute Thai restaurant! Decor is nicely curated and the bench tables and pillows are cozy. Tried the green curry which was well spiced and an appetizer of wheat paper wrapped peanut filling. I cannot remember the name of the appetizer but it is pictured here. Both were delicious. Thai tea was very sweet but otherwise as expected. The request for less ice was still a cup full of ice so I wish they were a bit better at accommodating and adjusting the drinks. Service was otherwise good.

Came here twice already, both during lunch for their lunch specials which was a steal. The first time it was perfect, amazing, the best Thai I ever had! Decor was chic and French country...think mint green walls, gold accents, mirrors, plants, and chinoiserie. Went back a second time and geez, might have been a different chef because everything was so salty. Will definitely go again to give it another shot but hopefully they don't disappoint. Waiters were so nice both times though.

U Can't Deny the Great Tastes at UThai Bistro in Woodbury! Last Monday night, my daughter and I enjoyed a heartwarming daddy-daughter dinner date. On her suggestion, we made our way to a charming little spot tucked into the corner of Woodbury Commons on Jericho Turnpike--home to one of the best Thai restaurants on Long Island: UThai Bistro. To be honest, I've often been underwhelmed by Thai cuisine on Long Island. Many places serve uninspired versions of pad Thai and curry dishes that, in their true form, should burst with flavor. But then we remembered UThai Bistro...a place we've visited a few times before. We instantly knew it was the right choice. Their food stands out for its authenticity and bold, creative flavors that make your taste buds sing . The interior is clean and minimalist , with just a handful of tables inside and out, accented with artwork and décor evoking the vibrant spirit of Thailand . Oliver, the owner, host, server, and jack-of-all-trades--is a warm & gracious person. While the service may not be lightning-fast, his kind demeanor and sincere apologies for minor delays made the experience feel more like dining at a friend's home. . He was a true delight--and so was the food. The menu offers a thoughtful mix of traditional favorites and inventive dishes, along with a surprisingly extensive cocktail list. With just the two of us dining, we had to choose carefully--and we chose well. We began with vegetable potstickers --lightly steamed dumplings filled with tender mixed vegetables , served with a homemade ginger-soy vinaigrette. A perfect, flavorful starter. But the standout appetizer was the Somtum papaya salad : shredded green papaya, carrots , string beans , tomatoes , crushed peanuts , and crisp romaine lettuce all tossed in a zingy chili-lime ‍ dressing. The combination of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors, paired with the crunch of fresh vegetables and a nutty finish, made for an irresistible start to the meal. For our mains, we shared the red coconut curry salmon and the green curry chicken --and both were exceptional. The salmon was pan-seared to flaky, moist perfection and bathed in a sweet and spicy red coconut curry sauce. It was delicately topped with crisp green beans and served over a bed of asparagus and carrots , with fragrant jasmine rice on the side. Honestly, it was one of the best salmon dishes I've ever had! we both loved it! The green curry chicken , served in a spicy green curry paste with eggplant , bamboo shoots, bell peppers , and fresh basil , is a Thai classic. While we requested a milder spice level (which, in hindsight, dulled the dish just a bit), it was still delicious. The chicken was tender, the bamboo shoots added a delightful crunch, and the basil gave it that signature aromatic lift. Next time, we're ordering it full heat ! And now... my favorite part: Dessert! On a past trip to Thailand, we fell in love with mango sticky rice --a dessert that's surprisingly hard to find done well in the States. The mangoes must be perfectly ripe, and the season is so short that many restaurants skip it entirely. But not UThai. Not only did they offer it--they nailed it. Picture this: a warm dome of floral-scented sticky rice infused with soft shreds of coconut , nestled beside velvety, golden cubes of the juiciest mango you've ever tasted. Close your eyes and imagine the ultimate comfort dessert... and then let it melt on your tongue . Absolute heaven. I swear! Honestly, I probably should've kept that one to myself--but the cat's outta the bag now. Lol. So do yourself a favor--go experience UThai Bistro. It's a hidden gem serving up authentic, delicious Thai cuisine with heart and soul. Highly recommended. Just go!

The best Thai food I have ever had. My gallery is full of pictures from there because of how often I go there. They have the best drunken noodles( Pad Mew Mao) ever. Also have amazing appetizers, my favorite one is shrimp shumai. Also their lychee mocktails are amazing.

Maybe it was a bad day. I went in to order take out. They said the wait was 20 mins. No big deal at all. It would have been nice to have been offered water or even another beverage that I gladly would have paid for. I was given a menu, but not the lunch menu. I had to request it. I ordered gyoza for my lunch appetizer and then chicken pad Thai medium spice as my entree. Veggie gyoza was just okay. Chicken pad Thai was not medium spice or any spice as requested. It was way too sweet and I didn't enjoy it. The menu also said ground peanuts are served on the side with the pad Thai. I didn't get any. Eh. Lunch was less to be desired.

Cute new Thai restaurant in the Woodbury area, located inside a plaza with ample parking. It is the same owner as the UThai in Rego Park (Queens), only the Rego Park location one is more of a fast food takeout style... certainly not fancy and also costs significantly less. I was surprised as to how small this restaurant is but luckily there was only one other table occupied when I arrived with my husband and toddler. Very cute decor. Great service. We ordered the fried chicken wings appetizer (peek gai), green curry with chicken, and the khao soi. - Peek Gai: Came with six pieces of half wings. Beautifully friend with crispy exterior and moist interior. Nice brown color. Delicious, especially with the dipping sauce. - Green Curry with Chicken: Not spicy so I'm not sure why there are three chili peppers on the menu. I didn't think the flavors came through much and felt it was watered down. It wasn't terrible, but I've certainly had way better. - Khan Soi: Gorgeous presentation. Much sweeter than I thought it would've been. I thought this was just okay. The raw red onions brought it up a level. Overall I did have a good time at the restaurant. The interior is very nice. The service was exceptional. The wings were great and I really wanted more. But I thought the main courses weren't all that. It's Long Island good, but not Thai good... ya know? Over $70+ after tax and tip for one appetizer, two main courses, and one Thai iced tea would definitely make me think twice about coming here more often. I wish them well and do hope they thrive.

    Mango Sticky rice with hair
    Meera R.

Just wanted a dessert. Was told I had to wait 10-15 min for a mango sticky rice & Thai iced tea. Which is fine- except for when I opened up the dessert & took a bite... i see a long strand of hair on my food. Disgusting. How careless can someone be to mess up one single dessert order. When I called to let them know - was just told I'm sorry and we'll make u a new one. Appetite gone. No refund either. Horrible. Never again.

Massaman Curry- delish. I just needed to ask for MILD.

New restaurant that has been open one month. Interior is small and cute. There are a few tables outside but staff was very accommodating , moving additional tables from inside , to go outside as our preference was to eat outside . Servers were friendly and attentive, filling up water glasses without asking. Food came out timely and was delicious. A little more money than expected for Thai, but was pleased with the experience. Unfortunately have a view of the parking lot, but was still nice. Would def return as hard to find good Thai food.

Finally some real good authentic Thai food with amazing cocktails and ambience as well! I tried their Thai red curry and their lychee martini. The red curry was on point! I asked for a lychee martini with less amount of sweetness and they made it perfect! My friend ordered a margarita and they served it with a dry ice bubble. I highly recommend this place. They made it beautiful inside and their service was good as well. 10/10!

Came here for lunch with friends. They have a $14 lunch special deal which includes an appetizer and main course. Staff was friendly and very good service. Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. Portion size was decent and we all enjoyed our respectable dishes. They also serve cocktails and drinks. We will definitely be back.

Everyone enjoyed the food. Mine was shrimp panang curry and I also tasted some mango sticky rice, thai iced tea, chicken satay and duck drunken noodles. They do have a smaller lunch portion, but I opted for the regular size which was enough for 2 meals. The panang curry hit the spot and had just the right spice level for me. The mango was perfectly ripe, thai iced tea perfectly sweet, chicken satay was tender and came with 2 sauces. The duck drunken noodles were cooked perfectly and there was a good duck to noodle ratio, but not really spicy. I did notice the restaurant was a bit cold inside, but I got takeout so did not stay to eat. Would love a way to pre-order pickup online - the websites available would only allow delivery ordering. I paired my meal with a Thai iced tea -- flavorful and refreshing, just not overly sweet (which some people might actually prefer). Appetizers: The curry puffs were delicious -- flaky, flavorful, but I definitely wished there were more than three. Chicken satay was well executed, but the honey ribs completely stole the spotlight. Super tender, flavorful, and easily the must-order on the starter list. Entrees: We ordered the deep fried filet snapper (with white rice) and the chicken Khao Soi. The Khao Soi was the standout of the night -- perfectly cooked noodles and a rich, coconut curry broth that was easily 10/10. The snapper was fried beautifully, and the mixed vegetables tasted incredibly fresh and bright -- almost ceviche-like in flavor.
