As someone born & raised in flushing who grew up eating hotpot/kbbq, and often still eats hotpot - I'm honestly very impressed by the quality of K-city. I will preface this by saying I consider K-city a 5/5 for Long Island - probably a 4/5 if K-city was in Queens tbh. If i was in the Nassau area I default to K-city vs. Kpot! I mainly go to K-city for the hotpot vs. the kbbq/hot food selection. The bbq is okay but the grill itself is pretty small. The prepared food selection is also okay, includes both hot food & sushi but I mainly consider it as food to eat while my hotpot is getting ready (lol). The broths are very legit with the variety offered being spicy (mala with the Szechuan peppercorns), mushroom, pork bone, herbal ( I believe is a mix of pork & chicken + herbs), tomato and mushroom. My favorite thus far have been the spicy & herbal! I appreciate that the meats are also included in the buffet section as well so I can control the quantity as opposed to some other hotpot/bbq places where the meats come pre-portioned. I think the main drawback of K-City as opposed to Spring Shabu (my personal 2nd favorite choice in nassau) is definitely the veggie selection & quality. I came here on memorial day and it was NOT crowded and parking was plentiful in the back of the restaurant. The restaurant visit was off to a great start. The hot buffet line was ok, and the sushi was alright. There was nothing spectacular but at the same time the food wasnt bad. I would have normally rated this probably a 3 star. Why a 2 star? Because the money items, the salmon sashimi and oysters took forever to be refilled. I had to ask the staff when they bothered to look my direction. A lot of people seem to give high praises of this place. Several friends and family even recommended to me. Of course the beast in me have to try! First off, yeah its a bbq/ hotpot kind of joint. AYCE of course. I have to say the little personal hotpots they give us are cute. The broth choices doesn't seem to matter tbh. Eventually you're chucking all types of seafood and meats that will make your broth good regardless. The pot is a bit on the smaller side if you choose 2 different broths. Hoping the 1 flavor one would be bigger but its the same. Cause of the split pot inside. As for the choices it's pretty standard hotpot stuff. Nothing too crazy to write home about. The grill side was a bit on the disappointment. Sure they have "marinated meats" but when I went they just chuck frozen galbi on top of the marinated meat. Not sure if they didn't have enough time for prep but I felt like the workers are just throwing things in for us animals to eat regardless of flavors. The cook station and sushi station was probably the most disappointing stations of them all. Majority of the cooked foods were cold. you would assume theres some kind of heat light warmer or steam bath to keep the foods warm but nope... most of them were just out and about and cold. The sushi station was lack lustered... selections were limited. Just your average carb city and fillers. The sashimi were not appealing imo. Overall, i felt like this place maybe good for younger audiences or family outings. Kids will like it cause of all the different types of fried/fast food styles. I've been here twice and I love this place. I think the AYCE price is very fair. Everything I've tried here is good quality. I wouldn't really recommend the precooked food at any sort of buffet style place though. I also love that you still have your own choices, plates, and broth, even if you go with a group. If you drop off your meats for the grill at the table first, they will start cooking it for you and have it separated when you get back. This place nails the all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ + hot pot + sushi combo perfectly. Went for Lunch on a Sunday, and even though it was busy, the staff was super welcoming and explained everything clearly. They walked us through the grill setup, raw meat/seafood selections, and how to pair things with the hot pot broths. The quality of the ingredients blew us away. They had fresh, premium cuts like marinated short rib, spicy pork belly, garlic shrimp, and rib eye/NY strip that sizzled beautifully on the tabletop grill. Everything cooked up juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. No skimping on portions either; you can keep going back to the buffet for more until you're stuffed! I must have had at least 4-5 rounds of each(hot pot, bbq, and sushi). The hot pot meats are in the back so make sure you make your way back there as well. I had assumed all the BBQ meats in the front were it and had to settle only for veggies in the hot pot. They had a nice selection of sushi/sashimi including yellowtail and steak rolls. This is one of our go to spots! We're such regulars here, they know us! I don't if that is a good or bad thing! This is one of the best places I have ever decided to go. It absolutely has everything you could want! From Korean BBq, to hot pot, to a hot bar! You will be more than satisfied when you leave this place! The ambiance is very simple. They try their best, but the space is very big and they good use of it. The service is top tier! Every couple of minutes someone will come and remove the grill to replace with a fresh one. Attention Management- I think this place has a great set up and business model for hot-pot/Korean bbq. But considering the competition in the area if management doesn't get on top of these issues I can foresee from my multiple experiences dining and other reviews with similar concerns that things could go down hill fast ! Most of my concerns really fall on management because they appear to be staff training issues. So please be advised: 1. Make sure buffet is labeled correctly, since I'm familiar with the location and what food looks like I've very frequently been able to identify mislabeled food. I've made sure this was corrected, because this has to be taken seriously! People have food allergies and religious observations. I've noticed pork and chicken switched and bacon labeled as pork chops, among other errors. Please have staff be careful with this as other costumers less familiar may not be able to identify this and rely on the signs. 2. Stock what is meant to be in stock. Out of the last 5 visits I was only able to have the short rib twice I believe and on one occasion only one piece . I understand this is an expensive item, but now people look forward to this! I've seen this mentioned on other reviews. I've also noticed that out of the sushi staff one staff member seems very on top of the stock, while the other is not. Please keep all rolls stocked as for some people can only eat certain rolls and look forward to that. Especially when not busy this is the bare minimum. 3.Fruit flies near the sauce, could be a cleanliness issue. 4. I've worked in many restaurants and when there is female staff available, it is normally largely preferred for female staff to service the women's restroom. While I understand restaurant hierarchy and that typically being a busboy "task". If you must use male staff to clean women's restrooms, they ideally should not be doing so during service hours unless it's urgent and if they see a female patron trying to enter they should promptly leave. Anytime I've experienced this even at a gym I've had the male staff both apologize and leave immediately, not that an apology is even warranted for cleaning a vacant restroom. But the leaving is essential. I think this is common sense, but since common sense isn't common management should instruct this to all male staff. To attempt to use the restroom and not have the male staff leave was fairly uncomfortable and made me decide not to use the restroom at all. read more

Pretty good, first time going here. Me & my friend went for lunch. Pretty good deal for $25 all you can eat. For sushi, hotpot, and KBBQ it was a pretty good deal. Their service is amazing. All of their severs are pretty attentive and quick. They were constantly refilling our waters, changing out the grill l, taking away dirty plates, and pouring more broth into our hotpot when necessary. Their space is very clean and organized. Pretty nice for a party. They did not spare expenses on the decor and the lighting. They have many selections of sushi, hot food, noodles, meats, seafood, veggies, desserts, sauce options, and entrees. Thought next time I'll probably skip the hot food and just get raw ingredients for the hot pot and KBBQ their sushi and hot food isn't special. And some of the hot food isn't that good. Like the shrimp tempura tasted very weird. Also a taiwanese sausage we got for the hotpot tasted very strange. My favorite thing to put into the hotpot is the octopus, shrimp, oyster mushrooms, and veggies. They were very good. I also enjoyed the beef triple and fish balls. My favorite thing to put on the grill is the garlic chicken!!!! It is very well seasoned and me and my friend grilled a bunch of these. I highly suggest getting the frozen thin slices of meat to the left of the sushi in the fridges. I'm so sad that I didn't see these earlier and we were too full by the time we found these. Last night we went to another friend's birthday dinner here at K-City. It's all you can eat hot pot, korean BBQ and sushi and you don't have to choose one or the other, or pay more money to add Korean BBQ. They put everything out buffet style, the hot food they serve, the sushi, the raw vegetables, noodles and meat you can throw on for korean BBQ or throw into your hot pot. I was a little confused I should have grabbed some oil or seasoning for the meats I threw on the Korean BBQ grill. I sampled so much of everything I couldn't finish my hot pot. We are now regulars here, and it's one of my son's top 5 restaurants! K-CITY is a very family-friendly AYCE spot for hot pot, Korean BBQ, sushi, and various other Chinese buffet dishes. If you like variety, this is your place. In addition to the obvious things (hot pot, KBBQ, etc), I also like that they have things like longans and Portuguese egg tarts for dessert. Note: If you tell them it's your birthday, they will present you with a dessert and a group of waitstaff will come over and play the happy birthday song all over the restaurant. A friend of mine suggested we meet his family here and boy was he right on point!! We traveled from Queens and this restaurant was not only very clean but the service was amazing and the food was FRESH!! I've been there 7xs after coming here for the first time in November 2024. First time experience was a bit overwhelming, with the people, many options of food and I was just hyped to have hot pot and kbbq at the same time. I think service was not that well, Server wasn't helpful and I had no idea what I was doing cooking the meat or how long to leave it for. They walk past you and don't offer any help, they charge you $4.00 for a drink that you could get somewhere else, nothing else was bad though. They had a sushi bar which was alright. I've been to K-City a few times with friends over the past year or so. This place took over the spot that Chen's Buffet used to be at many years ago and is next to Miller's Ale House. The interior of this place is pretty nice and clean and the dining experience was pleasant. We went for lunch on a Saturday, and it was $37 excluding tax and tip. The best thing about this place is that it is AYCE for sushi, hot pot, and Korean BBQ. As another reviewer said, there's a lot going on here w/ having all this stuff available and it's a bit overwhelming. From my experience, the Korean BBQ portion may be the weakest of all the offerings as you don't really get an authentic korean BBQ experience (similar to restaurants such as K-Pot in Westbury). However, the meats they offer for Korean BBQ are still pretty tasty and worth getting for sure. I mostly stuck to the sushi and hot pot offerings, and had a tasty meal. I thought the sushi was pretty decent and took a few plates (standard options such as tuna, salmon, yellowtail, fake crab, etc). For the hot pot part, we were told we could choose 1 type (I got the spicy broth) and it was very flavorful. Unlike Spring Shabu Shabu in Westbury, this place doesn't charge extra for hot pot meats (though the starting price for the buffet itself is much higher). Overall, there is plenty to enjoy at K-City and I think it's definitely one of the better asian buffet options on Long Island. I had a great time. However, I think it's still pretty expensive. Price is super friendly, about $36 per head for dinner for all you can eat hotpot and BBQ. Usually about 40-60 minutes waiting time if you don't make reservation ahead of time. An all you can eat sushi, hotpot, and Korean barbeque place that costs $24 for weekday lunch and $37 for weekends and dinner time. The place is located on a big road in Levittown but has a spacious parking lot in the rear. Originally I thought the price was for one option but I was shocked that I could get all three. Upon seating, the server comes by and asks what soup base we want for the hotpot. He even told us that we can choose up to 2. I chose the pork bone and herbal and they were both very delicious. While I was waiting for them to bring me the pot of soup, I went to the sushi and raw bar. I was amazed by how fresh and unique the options were despite the variety of foods they were serving. I was excited to eat the raw oysters and salmon sashimi pieces and try other unique platters such as the wasabi squid and white tuna dipped in a special sauce. Afterwards, when my soup started bowling - I went to the hotpot bar to pick up some food to start cooking. They had a huge variety of seafood from oysters to clams to crabs to crawfish to shrimp. You name it, they have it. They also have the hotpot staples such as tofu skin and fish balls. Additionally, they have a variety of noodles as well. Of course, the sauce bar does not disappoint with some dry snacks on top as well. Then, I went to check out the meats for grilling. They had a good variety from beef to pork to chicken to garlic shrimp. They even have corn cheese! And of course, they have a different sauce bar for Korean barbeque and other dry snacks as well. FYI - there is a 90 minutes time limit. By this time, my mouth is already tired from chewing but my heart still desires more food as there is so many options to dry. Unfortunately, I had to skip the fried food bar but I picked up some king crab legs! Then, went straight to the dessert bar to try some cakes, puddings and fruits. The cakes were alright and the puddings are artificially flavored. They had longan which was nice. As for the icecream bar - it's mostly Hershey's icecream cups with flavors such as vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and coffee as well as two additional icecream bars. Overall, very satisfied with the quality and variety of the food and the amazing service! They changed our grill after each round, added hot water to our pot, and ice water to our cups non stop. Since our group had never been before our waitress showed us how to use the hot pot, as well as the BBQ. The buffet portion of this place is huge (it used to be Chen's Buffet so I get it) with tons of meats and veggies for both the hot pot and the BBQ. They also have a buffet with pre-cooked food, and another for sushi. The pre-cooked food was fine. Nothing mind-blowing. The hot pot was okay. The noodles were eh but made better with some sauce. The broth was decent but lacked some flavor. The pork belly on the BBQ was good and the meat was cooked perfectly. For $38 PP you're better off sticking with the BBQ and maybe some of the pre-cooked items. I understand the hot pot also comes with it but it's unnecessary. We also tried some cocktails. The pineapple mojito was very good and went well with the food. At the end we split the check and I had already completed the tip on one check when the waitress asked for an additional tip on another check....Even though we manually added in enough for the entire bill had we not split it. I came here for lunch and found that the place was very spacious and clean. There were lots of options to choose from. I appreciated the fresh sushi as well as the hot food. You can pick two broths for your hot pot and there's plenty of meat to do the grilling. I had no problems with getting my grilled switched out when it got crusty. The staff fair were very efficient and nice when it came to cleaning up plates or refilling my drink. The quality of either the grill or hot pot food was pretty good given the all-inclusive price of $25 for everything. I have to give 5 stars to K-City BBQ for pulling off the ultimate AYCE concept: Korean bbq, hot pot, sushi, and Chinese buffet. Is it too good to be true? Overall, each category of food is sufficiently decent to satisfy that culinary experience, both in terms of quantity, quality and variety. I would come here for the well-rounded smorgasbord of options, knowing that I can choose a bit of each and change it up throughout my meal. I was not disappointed by the quality of the bbq meat or the sashimi, and am glad/surprised that they can maintain that level of quality at the price point they charge. Lunch is even cheaper and includes most of the same choices. The tables are a bit short on space due to having the center grill and individual hot pots, with only enough room for two plates per person at a time. Staff are pretty friendly and attentive, and they walk around frequently. Overall cleanliness is acceptable, with the floors being free of debris but a little slick, while the bathroom was a little scarier. What an experience! This was my first time having Korean BBQ. K City is an AYCE buffet with the added benefit of grilling your own food for $39.99. It's spacious and clean. We sat at a booth similar to a stovetop range with a grilling pan in the center. You can control the temperature of the plate for a boiling hotpot. It was busy but the server was attentive, he was helpful and made a tasty marinated for our grilled streak. The grilling pan was changed after each meal. K City has a mixture of sauces and spicy as well as a sushi bar. I recommend K City, I will be back again ! read more

After a perfect 9 hour day of SCCA at Jones Beach we were starved from not eating since breakfast. A fellow participant recommended this all you can eat hot pot/K-BBQ place nearby. No waiting for seating at 4:30 when we arrived. Offerings included sushi, sashimi, hot pot, K-BBQ, fresh seafood (oysters, mussels, snow crab), steaks, shrimp, fresh fruit, ice cream, and Chinese and Korean condiment stations. Everything was clean and fresh and the servers were attentive. Beverages and alcohol were also available, but not included in the AYCE price. Total was about $50 per person with tax and tip (no drinks). An excellent value for the quantity and selection. Ideal place for folks who haven't eaten for 10 hours. Really enjoyed K-City BBQ, found the quality of the proteins to be good enough. It's not a Peter Lugers steak, but the ribeye they have for the grill is fine. Grill them up with some potatoes and onions, with salt and pepper, well buttered, and you've got your money's worth. Each individual hotpot gives you two broth flavors, and a divided pot. Good for separation, but it gets crowded quick. Also love the whole idea of the buffet. Taking just what you want and the amount of what you want is right up my alley. Wow, so many options and so little time at this AYCE hotpot/BBQ place with sushi ! I'm a pescatarian so I'm glad they offer many seafood options along with meats and vegetables at this restaurant. I had the miso broth (option to choose 2) for the hot pot and loaded up on my veggies, noodles, fish, sushi, garlic shrimp and spicy squid. My family and friends enjoyed the steak, crab legs and other meat options. Everything was clean and fresh. The waiter was attentive and came by to refill our water and clear our plates quickly. There's parking in the back and don't forget to save room for dessert. They have ice cream cups, popsicles, fruits and also some Chinese baked goods. I usually get sesame balls and ice cream. 50/50 I can't say that this place impressed me. The food is absolutely average. The service is not bad. The interior is pretty good, but ordinary, no better or worse than others. The parking lot is large. The products and food are like in a regular buffet, no better or worse. After visiting it, I would not choose it again! I would go to a regular buffet. Came here for their lunch special of $19 (usually $24) and it was packed!! We were seated within an hr even tho they said it would be 1-1.5 hr wait. Kbbq: had galbi plus 2-3 other steaks, a few types of pork and chicken. Such much variety and was refilled often. We liked the galbi and the marinated steak. I got the hotpot beef belly to grill and it was amazing too! Hotpot: wide selection of veggies, seafood and meats. Meats are in the back freezer to the left of the sushi. Staff was continuously cutting the meat into thin pieces so everything was fresh and well stocked. Hot food buffet: I stalked the counter for crab legs and they did not disappoint!! They were so fresh and easy to crack. I dipped it into my hotpot broth for some flavor rather than the butter. Nice assortment of fruits as well Sushi: I passed on most of these since there were a lot of spicy tuna or salmon rolls. The sashimi was being cut behind the counter but the pieces I had didn't seem super fresh. They had a good assortment but definitely not the highlight of the buffet. Other: assorted ice cream in a freezer, hotpot sauce bar was well stocked. Bathroom was clean and door was propped open so no need to dirty your hands entering and exiting. Not sure if it was just our table/grill but I could not sit properly since there was not enough leg room. We are not big people either and had to sit sideways. Service: it was SO busy but service was still pretty good. I had to ask them to change our grill but they did it immediately. Overall: food overload!! It's quite hard to eat kbbq and hotpot at the same time I realized! I had to take a break to eat my whole plate of crab legs as well. I was amazed that lunch had all the same items as dinner which is not very common in other buffets. Definitely worth it for the variety and quality.
