Finally getting on here to give them a review. You might originally be skeptical about the location but Watawa is a hidden gem! My favorite time to go is lunchtime for their AYCE sushi. Perfect place for someone introverted and wants to still enjoy fresh fish with proportional rice to fish ratio. They give you the sheet with a list of different food items and you put down how many you would like. Definitely worthwhile and a bang for your buck. I've been to this place when it's busy and when it's empty and I will say that the workers are always walking around making sure my drink was refilled and if I needed another menu sheet. I love Watawa and I hope they continue to run their business as they always have. I haven't had a bad experience in the amount of times I've visited and I was a regular at some point. read more

Ordered deliver through Uber Eats. Got the sashimi dinner, 2 California rolls, edamame and the veg spring rolls. Everything came very quickly (which was good cause I was hungry). The sashimi was delicious and fresh, cuts were made very cleanly. Best all you can eat sushi place ever I will say the service is not the friendliest but honestly all the all you can eat sushi places are so serious! So I don't really expect them to be that fine but they do not play because they bring your food out so quickly and the food is always so good. It's so consistent. Consistently my go-to ayce sushi place. Even though it's quite a trek, it's always worth my time. As a basic sushi lover, this place really hits the spot. Can't get enough of my salmon sashimi, dragon roll, salmon avocado roll, and rainbow rolls! My family always get in one reorder and they come pretty quickly with the food so you're not sitting too long and letting your stomach feel the fullness. Don't let the exterior fool you. the outside sign is unevenly lit and the business is currently attached to a construction zone, the food here is decent for the area. Upon entering, the first thing you'll notice is their large Christmas tree, accompanied by a sign warning patrons that if their child is taller than a certain height, they will be charged full price. The restaurant has about 25 tables and a spacious layout, with a beautiful sushi bar where food is prepared fresh. We visited on a Friday evening for the all you can eat dinner. When we arrived, there were only a couple of occupied tables, and some diners were preparing to leave. Within minutes of us sitting down, the restaurant filled up quickly and became quite loud. I noticed there were four chefs working at the sushi bar, but only two female servers managing the dining area. They seemed overwhelmed, likely due to being short staffed that evening? While the servers were quick on their feet, requesting additional items became a bit of a challenge, as we often had to ask multiple times for sauces or other items. Adding to the noise from the crowded restaurant, there was a loud, repetitive beeping sound that occurred every 3-5 minutes. We couldn't figure out if it was online order notifications or an alert for food ready to be served. Whatever the reason, it was quite distracting, and no one seemed to acknowledge or silence it. The food was served at a good pace after we ordered. The soups came out first and were enjoyable. Next, we tried a variety of appetizers, including calamari, shrimp shumai, and teriyaki chicken. Everything was good, there was no "wow" factor. We also tried sashimi, hand rolls, and tobiko, which were fresh and decent for the area. Overall, the food quality was solid, but the experience had its drawbacks. For an all you can eat dinner (limited to 2 hours), the price is $32 per person, which doesn't include drinks like soda or iced tea. Considering the location, it feels a bit pricey. They also offer some sweet treats, such as ice creams and fried Oreos. One thing i would definitely recommend if them having more servers, and find a way to control the noise. read more

It's definitely withstood the test of time and for pretty good reason. Their unlimited has a variety of selections to choose from. Of course I love my beef short rib so that's always a must when going to an ayce sushi spot that includes appetizers. The sushi was all great. We ordered a bunch of different sushi and sashimi pieces. A boat load of appetizers. The service was good, fairly quick. The only thing I wish was that some of the short ribs weren't as meaty as I wanted but other than that for the price you really can't go wrong. read more

Came here on Valentine's Day. Yeah, I know it's going to be a long wait, no problem! Waited 30 minutes to sit, then sat another 20 minutes before anyone even came. They forgot a bunch of things that we ordered. When the kitchen food finally came out after 25 minutes of waiting, it was freezing cold. I've recently come back to give Watawa a second chance and think they rank up there in one of the best all you can eat spots around. I'm impressed that the sushi is rolled better than the first time I came, the servers are much more attentive and I never feel rushed. The sushi is incredible and so are the kitchen menu items. Watawa used to be our favorite sushi place...recently every time we go they are changing the prices. Today me and my brother went and it was $63 and change for the both of us plus 2 drinks. Usually it's $50 plus drinks. They always added tax which is fine but now add a 18% gratuity beforehand...but they cross out the gratuity with a pencil and act like they won't be taking it and that it was a mistake. The total on the receipt said $88 minus the gratuity, which would be 76$ and we gave $100 which means we should've gotten $24 back. We got back $11 WHICH MEANS THEY STILL TOOK THE GRATUITY AND ACTED LIKE THEY DIDNT CHARGE US FOR IT.anddddd still continued to put a tip line on the receipt! On top of this my sushi was sitting on the counter for 5 minutes and when I finally got my food it was warm. And I didn't order fried sushi so it should be cool to room temperature! Unfortunately I didn't love my time here and likely wouldn't go back. I came on a weekday night with some family and we did the all you can eat deal. The lo mein and drunken noddles were pretty good however I didn't enjoy any of the sushi. We ordered a California roll, pink lady, and two other specialty rolls. I'd say you're better off coming here for a specific item off the menu but at that point you're better off going elsewhere. The waiter was had was nice and did make the experience better. We received maybe 4 of the 6 rolls, the 2 others, who knows. Only one round for us, Oreos for dessert. Price for 2 with a nice tip and no drinks is 70 bucks... By no means a reasonable weekday bite but once or twice a year I love to fill up on this pseudo sushi. We may try one of the others soon just for comparison. I'm pissed off. We asked for fried rice like 3 times and they brought it after we ate all the other food. They charged an axtra 10 dollars for it being a holiday (Columbus Day). It was 35 instead of 25. Then when we got the bill, me and my friend paid seperate on card. We specifically brought cash for tip. We were dining here on a Saturday afternoon. Yes they still serve lunch price on Friday and Saturday. Mon thru Thur it is $2 cheaper. Unlike other ayce places, they don't have a separate lunch and dinner menus. One menu just different prices at different times. In addition, ikura sushi, one of my favorite, is on the ayce menu. Very solid AYCE experience. I usually would go to Kaze around the corner but they recently closed and I remembered enjoying Watawa a few years ago. More of a strong 3.5 but I'm rounding up because it was a nice meal. The inside is 10000 times nicer than the exterior. The rest of the strip looks abandoned, but please do not let that deter you! Sushi was fresh and delicious and I really love the way they prepare their spicy tuna roll. The gyoza were a little generic but tasted good. Fried oreos were nice and tasty. I've been going to the ones in flushing since long Island just doesn't have much AYCE Sushi spots, and the sushi village that opened here just doesn't taste the same as the one in queens. A friend suggested we try and boy are we glad we did. The atmosphere on the inside is so nice. Outside is older looking but it's the whole strip mall with a lot of closed stores ( prob why it hasn't been updated). The staff and sushi chefs are amazing. So attentive and nice. All the sushi we had we loved. Very fresh and so tasty. Well prepared and generous. What I love the most is they don't rush you and you can take your time. Two of dined for all you can eat and spent $65.( not including tip) It's well worth the all you can eat, so many options and speciality rolls. I have been to this place several times and there is this ONE worker who is there not so often, who whenever she closes our tab tells us how much we should tip VERY loudly and in front of everyone in the restaurant. They are ridiculous, also in the past when I have gone they're they complain about a 20% tip not being enough.... It's not mandatory to tip, I could've given nothing.
