This is a small, intimate hookah lounge located in Hempstead. There is an extensive list of hookah flavors to choose from. We ordered the Mango Peach Paan hookah. This flavor was pretty good. They had music playing which wasn't too loud where we couldn't hear ech other. There a few TV screens that had several shows playing. Please note that alcohol is not served here. They serve teas, coffee, water, and soft drinks. Our server was quick and friendly. This is my second time coming to this lounge and so far I have no complaints. read more

Nice casual hookah place. I wish the venue had games, they also don't have alocholic beverages or food but they let you deliver both. I'm rating highly because they have better hours than other hookah bars in the area and are open daily from afternoon to night. Also, friendly service both times I've went. I've been on a Date on a Sunday afternoon and with a friend as a way to end our night post drinking. I'll probably be back soon! read more

Scorpion is probably the best hookah lounge I have been to in this area. It's clean and quiet before 11pm. After 11pm they put a bouncer outside the music gets turned up and it's pretty noisy in there. The hookahs are nice and they use silicon hoses. The only con about this place is they don't have a bar and it's not BYOB. read more

Scorpion hookah, so far, is my favorite hookah spot on Long Island. Ive been coming here for about 2 years now and they still recognize my boyfriend and I when we come in (once, or twice, a week). The staff is really pleasant, the DJ is great (I think his name is DJ McLovin', don't quote me on that though), and the hookah is wonderful. I love that you can combine shisha flavors (my favorite combo is mint+sex on the beach). They also have a small beverage menu, that I wish could be expanded, but I don't complain. It also has an amazing happy hour special from 6-8pm every day. It's comfortable, clean, has great hookah and a great DJ. I always recommend to my friends. read more

The atmosphere is very relaxed and the DJ is always playing great music. Every booth is private and the hookah is top notch. I visit Scorpion regularly to watch sports games and to relax in their club like lounge. The service here is the best in New York and I've never tasted such clean and consistent hookah anywhere else in my life. I never EVER write reviews and Scorpion is receiving my first one! My experience there was dope. The staff members are very kind and always checking up on you. The Hookah's are at a reasonable price and they're also connected to the Halal place next door so the food prices are great also. The music was perfect. And if you happen to be a service member on leave or even if you're a Reservist or National Guard--I highly suggest you go. They treat their servicemen with the upmost respect as well as civilians on their own account. Definitely coming back! read more

Great helpful and kind service! Great Halal restaurant next door linked to Scorpion and will serve you at your table. Loud music which is not my favorite addition to a hookah bar but is pretty common for the area. The service is always great here. You never have to wait long to get help and they're the only place that has a variety of Paan blends. The only flaw I would say is that they do not serve alcohol, but if you're going there just to smoke it's worth it. It's also a great place for people under 21. read more

This place has quality hookah in a variety of flavors. The staff is very nice and they are glad to recommend you flavors if you need help choosing. It's cheaper than most places on Long Island. My only negative for Scorpion is that they don't serve any alcohol. Even if it was just wine or beer, that would be cool, or if they made it BYOB. It would make it an even better spot to chill on weekends and I'm sure it would bring even more of a crowd. Other than that, I love this place and definitely recommend it. Really affordable, and a great finger food menu. Very calm atmosphere and solid chill out music. Wasn't crowded when I went but it looks like a spot that could get packed pretty quickly on a Fri - Sun night. Servers are kind and know what they are doing when setting up the hookah. Went last minute with a large group of friends to Scorpion based on a recommendation from a friend. Even though there was a lot of us the staff was very accommodating and managed to move around things so that we could all fit in comfortably. Now the hookah was very good and the staff stopped by every now and then to check on us and see how everything was going. Music decent, a few too many remixes for my taste, but that's just me. Great location. Perfectly located in the HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY area. So the college students truly uterlized this place. From the time of opening there doors too closing. Place is packed. Capable of having loud music so if that's not your thing while enjoying your Hookah then this location not for you. I like to go between the hours of 5pm -11:30., because you get too see the new customers coming in. Atmosphere very pleasant and surprisingly quite., but they need major improvement on their services. It shouldn't take over 15 minutes to get someone to take your order., let alone 1.5 hours later too receiving your food/beverages. read more

This is my second time coming to this lounge, I had brought two cups of coffee with me, unaware of the fact that this lounge does not allow drinks from outside. However we spoke to our server who informed us that outside drinks are not allowed. We informed him that we were unaware of their policy. We asked him if he could make a one time exception he asked his management who informed us that it would be okay, unless a large group comes in. However the server(probably instructed by management) harassed us on multiple occasions afterwards about the two coffees which is not the right way of treating customers if they are going to make a one time exception at least do not harass your customers. This kind of behavior is not how you run a business. I have been to multiple lounges and complied to policies and procedures. This lounge has the potential with the right customer service and maintaining a positive experience. However the way that they are treating their customers is not going to make their business grow. Additionally if you are going to have a hookah lounge please use authentic kloud heads as the fake ones use different kinds of metals which can be harmful to your customer. If your looking just to spot hookah and the environment doesn't matter then come here it felt like it was a fast food restaurant during the day because the seating is not comfy its way too laid paid for a night out on a Friday or Saturday. If you really want something sexy especially if your 21+ go to astoria where you have a pick of many sexy hookah lounges. The service was great but just didn't live up to expectation. Went here the other day and it was nothing like we expected. Small and quiet with a chill vibe and good prices. It's well maintained and quiet, which is great considering we expected it to be packed since there's a college campus nearby. The manager was so helpful and polite - very "hands on," as he served other patrons alongside his staff. The hookah menu options are good and reasonably priced ($17-$25 depending) and includes other options, such as fruit bowls, ice hoses, and other bases (liquids). Just as good as those on Steinway in Astoria without being as out of the way for those on Long Island. read more

There is another review from my friend for this business and I agree 100%. I brought a Dunkin latte here not knowing their policy of no outside drinks. I was approached by my server who was instructed by management to tell me to throw my drink out. I let the server know I did not know about the policy or else I wouldn't have brought a drink. I have been to this lounge many times and I have never done this before so it was an innocent mistake. My server went away to discuss the matter(is it really that big of a deal?) and came back and told me and my friend that I should not bring a drink next time and that it would be okay this time as an exception. Later in the night, the server came back and told me and my friend to throw out the lattes although he said it was okay before. Me and my friends who came were super uncomfortable and felt harassed. The place is nothing amazing ambience-wise, the hookah is subpar, so atleast they should provide some customer service for customers who still come back. In addition, the Kaloud heads are not authentic so they hold less flavor and there is possibility that there is lead in some of these chinese knockoffs. Very sad to see this place being run down during a time where customers have a million hookah lounges to choose from in the region. read more

It was around 10pm on a Monday when we came and it was so packed that there weren't any empty tables. There were large groups at most tables with multiple hookahs. The host couldn't give us seating but gave us seats in the waiting area while a table cleared up and handed us menus. He soon came back to tell us that he'd be moving as as soon as table opened up. We got the combo of peach and mint hookah and the pull and smoothness of the flavor were great, the server came coming around to change coals or move them around. The service was really great, he has asked us about eight times if everything was going well. It was also really clean, the prices are really great in comparison to other places in Long Island, and the music wasn't super load or completely one language. I've been coming here for years and hadn't come for a couple, so I was very happy to have come back to see that it is not only still open but doing great as a business. The owner was sitting next to us and he made sure to ask us if we were satisfied with the service.
