This was a beautiful and fun afternoon at one of the two Sake AYCE establishments on Long Island. The great things: 1) A lovely and warm welcome with smiles from both servers. 2) Immediate seating. They did fill up in the next 45 minutes. 3) The same price all day. No jump for dinner. no separate or upgraded menu after 3:45 pm. 4) Regarding the food - Sake has one of the most extensive and well rounded menus for an all you can eat Sushi/Sashimi n Chinese restaurant. They have 27 appetizers, 8 lovely salads, ( the spicy Kani was a popular one ), 7 types of soups, 9 different teriyaki items, special rolls and some really good quality sashimi- I got the tuna, salmon and yellowtail. The fish, gorgeous - melt in the mouth, fresh, generous portions and the accompanying wasabi and ginger was very, very good. I love that the house salad came with plenty of sesame ginger dressing( photo); the miso soup was hot and delicious. I ordered the pink lady special roll and it was outstanding. Again, everyone probably heard me moan in Ohio. 9 different desserts including ice cream, Oreo cheesecake. They have the best shrimp teriyaki with 20 pieces of big and juicy prawns grilled to perfection with that aroma and a light but addicting sauce over it. 5) Loved the iPad to order which went right to the kitchen vs the paper handwritten do overs. 6) Loved the service - attentive, caring, very polite, alert! 7) Loved that they offered both a senior(65 plus) or a military with ID discount( both 10 percent). 8) Loved the free parking right outside the back door. 9) Loved the decor, the colors and the vibe with a very cute bar. 10) Loved the clean men's restroom. My husband and I have been going here for years, twice a month. Our last visit, about 6-7 months ago, we had a VERY different and not so delicious experience. We said to one another, they must have a new owner and after seeing the previous most recent review confirming that, I had to share our experience as well. The sushi was different, we order the same rolls every time and they were made with different ingredients this time (not as listed on the menu). The hot food was burned, and tasted bitter and not flavorful as it previously had. Portions were smaller. We also asked for a side of mango sauce for the sushi (some rolls have it drizzled on top), we get this every visit, and they told us NO, they do not give a side of sauce! They have some of the most unique options (sushi pizza, dinosaur egg) and hot food options you don't typically find at most AYCE sushi spots (string beans, garlic style chicken). We have been eating at this place since they opened. It was the BEST sushi hands down. The service varied from fair to very good over the years. We ate there this weekend and had the most horrible meal! We made a few comments to the waitress and she quietly said to tell the manager. We had noticed that besides the sushi being tasteless and the seaweed wraps were like fibrous rubber that all the staff had changed. The spicy tuna had a consistency of creamed tuna and NO taste. The maki rolls were all rice and that tough seaweed. I spoke to the manager about it and she just nodded and said she would tell the kitchen staff. I asked if they had new owners and of course.... They had sold out a month ago!!! We usually would eat there at least once a month, sometimes 2-3 times. I cannot see myself EVER eating there again under this new management!! I've been here 4x now while I go dress shopping and man this place is a nice hidden gem. It's great to experience as a group or a couple so much to try all delicious. The bathroom is nice and clean staff if friendly. The service is quick each time we come here we do the all you can eat option but if there is an item you want that is not in the all you can eat you can still request it they will add it on to your bill. On my search for the best AYCE sushi restaurants, I've come across this little gem. Located on a busy street, with street parking all around the corner, you enter the restaurant and find a tight restaurant with tables close to each other but yet, remarkably roomy and private. The all you can eat menu is extensive with Sushi (many many different types of rolls), classic Asian dishes, hibachi, and more. It might be the most extensive menu for unlimited sushi I've come across. You are given an iPad and away you go- ordering all on your own and pressing send. For special requests, such as rolls without certain items or sauces, you can tell the server and they place the order directly with the kitchen. The food comes out at a stable and perfect pace. The sushi is fresh and has large rolls and cuts of fish that leave you satisfied. The hibachi is a stand out with amazing salmon, steak and chicken, tofu and shrimp, which gives the sushi a strong competition of what to order. On the menu, there is only one limit- that each person can only order 30 pieces of sashimi and individual sushi (all rolls and everything else is unlimited). BUT, as they told us when we arrived, they don't severely enforce this, especially when you are ordering other foods as well. I found the staff to be exceptional. They are friendly, smiling, and just seemed happy to be there. They certainly served us well. The restaurant was clean, with hand sanitizer on each table. The sushi counter was immaculate. The staff all wore gloves. I'm a bit disappointed with myself because I was so excited as they brought the food (especially the hibachi) I forgot to take more pictures!!!! Love the all you can eat here - food is always fresh and hot and tasty. The choices are also varied - from Chinese to Thai to Hibachi to Sushi, there's a little something for everyone. Recommend sushi pizza - also here's a fun food hack: get plain udon noodles and chicken lettuce wraps and mix the noodles with the chicken from the lettuce wraps. Delish! Went with my mom for the All You Can Eat special on a Saturday night and it cost $68 after tax for the two of us. I got a soda, she got a tea, I don't think there's any charge for those. The food was great. My favorite was the Crazy Friday Roll. However, we also got the Eel Dragon Roll, Godzilla, and Sexy on the Beach. Sexy On the Beach was my least favorite, it was really soft and mushy. Just a heads up, they don't have green tea fried ice cream, only vanilla. They do have regular green though. No complaints! What a fun new place to checkout. They do have you order via ipad. Which at first we didnt realize because we were waiting for the paper to be brought to us but when i realized another table had ipad also we caught on quick. Some menu items on the ipad had photos which was helpful for certain speciality items. Lets face half of the reason i got into yelping was because we eat with our eyes first! First off the appetizers were all smaller portioned than we are used to for dining all you can eat. We had to order double of most appetizers because we were 4 people. Two of which were hungry men! I enjoyed the sushi taco and pizza. As apps the rolls which i never remember what we ordered were delicious. For the all you can eat sushi you order off the iPads. Only issue I have with the iPad ordering there is no descriptions on the rolls your ordering will have to refer back to a regular menu. People I was with had the hibachi beef and the chicken satay skewers as well as the Thai basil beef they said all of the cooked food was delicious and couldn't believe the quality for all you can eat. Started with the Cajun tuna which was excellent then had a tuna dumpling and some assorted signature rolls. Highly recommend this restaurant for all you can. Gets busy so the word is out. read more

If the food had been good I could overlook this but the rudeness coupled with bad food is just a big no for me The fried veg dumplings were so greasy. I get that they're fried but they don't have to be soaking in oil on my plate. The tofu teriyaki was inedible. Teriyaki dishes typically come on a skillet. This came on a regular plate with uncooked onions and raw broccoli. They lightly brushed some kind of sauce on top. Def wasn't teriyaki. 0 stars for that dish. My husband got the pad Thai which was ok. Nothing to write home about. The only good thing about this place is the price. Everything was reasonably priced for food that tasted the way it did. This has been one of our go-to AYCE sushi spots, mostly due to convenience. $22.95 AYCE on weekends (Friday-Sunday), $21.95 AYCE during the week (Monday-Thursday). Their AYCE menu is extensive, and you can add AYCD beer for a fee. (I think it's an additional $7 or $8.) They have a ton of menu items to choose from, from appetizers and basics to specialty rolls and chef specialty entrees. Our favorite rolls so far are Boston Bay, Tiger, King Kong, Spicy Mango Lobster And Mango Hawaii Roll. The food is pretty good, some items are more impressive than others. I like the drunken noodles, pad Thai and some of the other entree items. Service is fast and efficient, not particularly friendly. We always leave full, not always completely satisfied. The Jalapeño Yummy roll tasted sour- I spit it out immediately. It didn't taste fresh to me, but that's the only thing I've really had a negative reaction to. (It could have been the combination of the sushi with the asparagus. I'm not really sure, I just know I did not enjoy it.) The rock shrimp is substandard, as are some of the other appetizers. Haven't tried the drinks yet, but will update if we do! We were really excited when we first found this spot, but during our visits since, both the service and food have failed to meet our expectations. After coming back numerous times since my first visit, I need to update my review! It's an AYCE restaurant (the regular menu is also available) with so many different options. Asian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, etc. there's something for everyone, even if you don't like sushi. Order slow. Start with soup, salad and appetizers. Then move on to sushi and entrees. As stated in my previous review, they watch you. They do watch you, but that's only so they are ready when you are done to put in your next order! :) Everything is delicious and fresh! Mmm! My favorite appetizer is the dinosaur egg. It's a fried avocado topped with delicious goodness! I've had so many different sushi rolls over the course of my many visits, I can't pick a favorite one. Great All You Can Eat option I knew nothing about! I am a Sushi novice, but I think this place is great as someone getting into more Japanese food. Soo I finally gave in after my husband nagging me to try it since we live close by and it was something new to us- an all you can eat sushi place. I did warn him every time he asked, saying "you get what you pay for" but today I gave in. We were seated right away and I was overwhelmed and confused with the menu. There were many options, but no prices for a la Carte. We shortly after learned that everything but cocktails and dessert were part of all you can eat for $21 pp. I was struggling with finding options that I liked as most were fried. We started with the sushi pizza and avocado bowl. The sushi pizza was a fried crust but palatable. The avocado bowl was not in a bowl and was spicy tuna with avocado surrounding it drizzled with sauce which we did enjoy somewhat. We then got the lobster mango roll which was heavily fried. There's a difference between tempura fried and deep fried crap. This I'd put under the deep fried crap catergory. My husband then ordered the sashimi. You are allowed 30 pieces. He ordered salmon, yellowtail, striped bass, and white tuna. Well, let's just say the white tuna wasn't white. It was a weird egg-like tan color. The yellowtail didn't taste fresh... more like a perfumey, lemony taste. Weird! Maybe they freeze it all who knows. We also ordered the American dream roll which thank god I ordered my plum sauce on the side because it was very sour tasting like sour candy. Ick. We are home now and my husband is lying down sick to his stomach (I warned him this would happen). For a sushi lover (who likes real sushi not California rolls) this is not the place for you! I recently discovered this little gem , only 2 1/2 miles from home , and had a big , delicious meal there yesterday , 4/25/24 . I had two servings of both Pineapple Chicken and Mango Shrimp , freshly prepared and absolutely delicious : each generous serving would have a sufficient light lunch in and of itself . I personally like their dinosaur egg to start and have never had a bad specialty roll. Their fried rice is also good. Im not a fan of their kani salad and they now charge addional for ice cream and all other desserts which is a little annoying but hey whatever. Service is a little slow and not exactly the friendliest but like i said the foods pretty good for all you can eat.
