We went early because we were seeing a show. 5:30 pm on a Friday. So restaurant wasn't busy at all yet. What was a little frustrating was that waiter came over three times to get main dinner order. I don't understand the rush. We were eating the appetizer and almost done. No indication that we were in a rush. Yet he felt the need to come over again and interrupt to get the dinner order. Definitely enjoyed the food here at Nola. Very nice quiet place with a fire place in the dining room. Staff was very nice and accommodating. I got the Italian Sushi for appetizer. There was plenty to share which was great. For dinner I got the Short Ribs, they were tender and bursting with flavor. Turns out it's a tale of two Nola's. Went back with a larger group on Saturday after raving about how much we enjoyed this local place the Friday before. Girls didn't want Lugers, guys didn't want sushi, another couple was at Carbone's the night before and didn't want Italian. Nola I thought. "No drive to the city or the North Shore, we can hop over to Seaford" I say. "Sure Frank, we trust you". Everything started ok, seated promptly, apps and drinks come out quick, and all was great (well they didn't have stuffed olives as mentioned on one of the cocktails). All the sushi and apps were a big hit. The Nola oysters, Mulberry calamari, special zucchini flowers, eggplant stack, special lobster crepe, 2 special toro rolls and house roll. We're feeling good. The night got a little rocky from there. Entrees took a long time, and not that that's a problem (we didn't fire the entrees until after apps), but two entrees came out cold, one wrong (a sub was requested on the potato) and the steak over cooked. Those dishes must have been sitting around on the pass waiting for... idk. Do try the spinach - it is delish. Steak needed more seasoning. Then bussing got sloppy, tray of glasses broke by the kitchen, super loud - if we weren't committed to dessert, we would have paid and left. Thankfully the desserts and coffee were good. Long draw on the macchiato, which had more steamed milk then I was expecting, and good coffee. The Bo nanas are fun, and the apple crumb was pretty good. Shabeer couldn't have been nicer, and clearly he was working his butt off. He even offered us a cordial. No Sal making rounds tonight. Now, I'm just a civilian Yelp loser who eats and writes about it as a lame hobby, but they may want to figure out teaming a little better. I wouldn't have minded a dessert closer handling the end of our meal. Next time, I'll stick to Nola on weekdays or eat at less crowded times. Still wishing this restaurant lots of success as it's our best chance on the South Shore. read more

Haven't been here since it was Puglia's and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is redecorated with a new menu too. Our server was right on point. We started with the lobster baked clams. They were fresh and homemade tasting. Didn't taste processed and there were pieces of lobster in it. For dinner, everyone but myself had the halibut with broccolini and all were happy with their meal. I had the Fresh Cortecce and added burrata bc well you know the more cheese the better! It had shrimp and roasted peppers in a creamy Parmesan sauce. It was very flavorful. For dessert, we split the apple crumb with vanilla ice cream. So good! The other couple had creme brulee. My new favorite restaurant on Long Island. Food is top notch, out of this world fantastic. Great outdoor area to dine as well as inside, nicely decorated. One of the best menu's , the choices are thought out perfectly and menu design easy to navigate. I have to take a minute to shout out to JUAN our waiter.. best I've ever had in any restaurant.. this man actually cares about your dining experience and knows the menu and how the dishes are prepared. Make reservations now before the word gets out how outstanding Nola is and you'll be waiting to get a seat. The Chef came out, Chef Anthony, and he truly has the passion of food in his blood. The food is really good however the service is NOT. We waited an hour last night for the appetizer and then another hour for main course. The wait staff appeared to be overwhelmed. This is not a place to have a dinner conversation. It is very loud and got much worse when the restaurant blasted the Kentucky Derby on the TV's. We will not be coming back. read more

Went last night for dinner, the food was delicious and the portions were large as well, my husband and I ended up having 4 appetizers and were too full and satisfied for a main. We had the oysters, the special baked clams with lobster the Prosciutto balls and the Gringo sushi roll. Each dish was flavored and delicious, drink prices were not bad either. The outside seating was very comfortable and cool with the overhead fans and Ryan our server was very nice, offering suggestion and descriptions of each dish. We finally got to the new Nola restaurant in Seaford. It was a direct takeover from Puglia. We ate outside on the back patio and it was very roomy. Our server was Joe and he was just the right amount of available. (Not hovering, not forgetting us) He was super friendly and got us started right away. The apps were really really good. Wife had the Italian chopped salad and I had the special crab cake, both were delicious. Onto the main course, I chose a few specialty sushi rolls and my wife got the short ribs. The ribs were buttery and perfect. The sushi, was fantastic, but it was a lot of food. So much that I couldn't eat it all. Overall we had a great time there and would definitely come back! read more

Disappointed with the decrease in menu size. No more of some of our favorites are on the menu. The food was pretty good, but there are definitely much fewer options. When we arrived I asked the waiter if we could start with some apps and put in our kids food order (ages 3 and 4) and he said no. We had to order everything at the same time. At the time, the restaurant was not crowded so this immediately turned me off. He was also very much trying to rush us to put in an order when we literally just sat down and were getting situated. We have been there a few times and enjoyed the food. The last few times we were there we enjoyed the Sunday Family Day specials, @ $20 each. So this past Sunday we checked the website and the Sunday Family Day specials were still listed. Our family went to celebrate a birthday and planned on ordering off that menu. After being seated I noticed we were missing that menu so I asked our server and was told, they no longer offer that menu. We were all seated and had started ordering drinks by that time so we stayed. My disappointment and frustration is the menu was and still is today as I write this, listed on the website. I believe the menu should have been honored since the restaurant is still advertising it and the same entries are and were still be offered, just at a higher price. read more

His voice was great, but it needed to be about 25% the volume to even approach acceptable dinner music. We tried the stuffed artichoke, eggplant tower, prosciutto flatbread, spinach papparedelle, stuffed ravioli, short rib, chicken scarpariello. I appreciate the entertainment could be a selling point for some people who want to go, listen to music, and not speak to their partner/friend/group. Just had my sister's bridal shower at Nola and it was perfect. They were so easy to work with and beyond accommodating for all of our requests. The food was amazing and the portions were huge!! The day of Emilio was the best. He was so helpful setting up, helped us carry everything in from the car, and then served the party exceptionally. The service at this place is incredible. Really fantastic staff. Food is great. We had the calamari, shrimp cocktail, stuffed artichoke, prosciutto balls- all solid choices. The halibut was good, fantastic sauce but a little bit dry. (Could have just been the day) If you're doing seafood, I'd go w the Chilean Sea bass. The sea bass has an amazing garlic sauce and is cooked to perfection. Chicken parm is HUGE. Like double portion. If you're hungry stick w one of the parm's. Cauliflower gnocchi is very good but could have used a little more flavor from the pesto. Still good though. Overall, a solid pick! read more

My wife and I come out to Seaford to see family and once a week we usually get together for dinner. TN was our second time dining at Nola, and I must say it is spot on. Amazing drinks , to desserts. Service was excellent. We had the waiter Joe who guided us on what was best. Last week we tried a charcuterie board with Italian cheeses , cold cuts , pastas for our main course. It was our third time at this restaurant and sadly will be our last. We were a party of four and had a 5:30 pm reservation. When we arrived we were at first being shown to our table only to be returned to the reception again. 10 minutes later we were taken to our table after the receptionist told us that they had to still clean tables. After being seated a waiter came to take drink order in a timely fashion. We ordered as soon as the drinks were delivered. The shared appetizer came in an appropriate amount of time but then our entrees didn't arrive until almost an hour after the appetizer as the restaurant grew noisier and more crowded. The tables are too close together so it's impossible to walk to the restroom without bumping into diners. Our waiter brought 3 of the 4 entrees after an hour and said the 4th entree was still being worked on. About 3 minutes later the 4th entree arrived. I had ordered broccolini and cauliflower and got asparagus and mashed potatoes. My dining companion had ordered a flatbread appetizer that was totally inedible. A massive amount of arugula and prosciutto, the flatbread a mushy presence underneath. The other two entrees were okay but not memorable. We finished, but my dinner companion could not eat the flatbread appetizer as it was virtually inedible. She asked the waiter to talk to the manager to see if it could be removed from the bill. The waiter presented the bill and said he could not find the manager, so the flatbread remained on the bill. A really unacceptable and unenjoyable dining experience. We will not be returning customers. read more
