Rock hard (kinda like my abs) sorbet

Turns out it's a tale of two Nola's. Went back with a larger group on Saturday after raving about how much we enjoyed this local place the Friday before. Girls didn't want Lugers, guys didn't want sushi, another couple was at Carbone's the night before and didn't want Italian. Nola I thought. "No drive to the city or the North Shore, we can hop over to Seaford" I say. "Sure Frank, we trust you". Everything started ok, seated promptly, apps and drinks come out quick, and all was great (well they didn't have stuffed olives as mentioned on one of the cocktails). All the sushi and apps were a big hit. The Nola oysters, Mulberry calamari, special zucchini flowers, eggplant stack, special lobster crepe, 2 special toro rolls and house roll. We're feeling good. The night got a little rocky from there. Entrees took a long time, and not that that's a problem (we didn't fire the entrees until after apps), but two entrees came out cold, one wrong (a sub was requested on the potato) and the steak over cooked. Those dishes must have been sitting around on the pass waiting for... idk. Do try the spinach - it is delish. Steak needed more seasoning. Then bussing got sloppy, tray of glasses broke by the kitchen, super loud - if we weren't committed to dessert, we would have paid and left. Thankfully the desserts and coffee were good. Long draw on the macchiato, which had more steamed milk then I was expecting, and good coffee. The Bo nanas are fun, and the apple crumb was pretty good. Shabeer couldn't have been nicer, and clearly he was working his butt off. He even offered us a cordial. No Sal making rounds tonight. Now, I'm just a civilian Yelp loser who eats and writes about it as a lame hobby, but they may want to figure out teaming a little better. I wouldn't have minded a dessert closer handling the end of our meal. Next time, I'll stick to Nola on weekdays or eat at less crowded times. Still wishing this restaurant lots of success as it's our best chance on the South Shore.

Haven't been here since it was Puglia's and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is redecorated with a new menu too. Our server was right on point. We started with the lobster baked clams. They were fresh and homemade tasting. Didn't taste processed and there were pieces of lobster in it. For dinner, everyone but myself had the halibut with broccolini and all were happy with their meal. I had the Fresh Cortecce and added burrata bc well you know the more cheese the better! It had shrimp and roasted peppers in a creamy Parmesan sauce. It was very flavorful. For dessert, we split the apple crumb with vanilla ice cream. So good! The other couple had creme brulee. Very impressed! We'll be back!

My new favorite restaurant on Long Island. Food is top notch, out of this world fantastic. Great outdoor area to dine as well as inside, nicely decorated. One of the best menu's , the choices are thought out perfectly and menu design easy to navigate. I have to take a minute to shout out to JUAN our waiter.. best I've ever had in any restaurant.. this man actually cares about your dining experience and knows the menu and how the dishes are prepared. Make reservations now before the word gets out how outstanding Nola is and you'll be waiting to get a seat. The Chef came out, Chef Anthony, and he truly has the passion of food in his blood. Try everything on the menu it all looks and sounds amazing because I definitely will be doing that. FYI also great bar and wine menu. Ciao

Went last night for dinner, the food was delicious and the portions were large as well, my husband and I ended up having 4 appetizers and were too full and satisfied for a main. We had the oysters, the special baked clams with lobster the Prosciutto balls and the Gringo sushi roll. Each dish was flavored and delicious, drink prices were not bad either. The outside seating was very comfortable and cool with the overhead fans and Ryan our server was very nice, offering suggestion and descriptions of each dish. We will definitely be back with the rest of our family soon.

4.5 First time…read moredining at Baccaro, we arrived around 5:30 on a Saturday night and while there weren't many tables taken, they were reserved. We got a high top table in the bar area which was fine. Reservations seem to be a must. People started pouring in and the restaurant and bar filled up rather quickly. The wait staff is just lovely, especially our server Andrew. They start you off with some warm crusty bread and a trio of options for it; butter, olive oil and a cheese spread. We started off with the eggplant meatballs and they were delicious. Served with a lovely tomato sauce, ricotta and some cheese shavings, they were so so good. For the entrees we went for the Pork Osso Bucco and there was a daily special for a Lamb Osso Bucco. First of all the portions are huge, their "dinner plates" are really platters. So while prices are on the high side you get a ton of food; and I must say the food warrants the price. Back to the entrees, the pork Osso Bucco was sublime. The meat shank was super tender and the sauce was superb. Served with a fantastic squash risotto and garlicky zucchini zoodles, it was all perfect and I had a another full dinner to bring home. The lamb version was unctuous and delicious, topped with a demi glaze, served with risotto and asparagus it was another fabulous dish. Baccaro is a wonderful spot for a fantastic meal in a lively, comfortable setting.

Our waitress made us feel completely comfortable we were laughing, having side conversations, and genuinely enjoying ourselves all night. By the end of the evening, she even said, "Goodnight, love you!" and quickly laughed saying she didn't mean to say it. That pretty much summed up the vibe of the night friendly, relaxed, and memorable. The food was excellent from start to finish. I had the Caesar salad appetizer, which was very good, and my sister had the calamari, which she said was excellent. For our entrées, we both ordered the chicken parmesan with alavaca sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. To finish the night, we shared the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was the perfect treat. The portion is definitely big enough for two people, so I wouldn't recommend ordering one per person. The location is beautiful and right by the water true to the restaurant's name. The only small thing to note is the parking. There are two parking lots, and the first one is definitely the better option. The second lot leads closer to the waterfront entrance and can feel a little tight and snug when parking. Overall, we had an amazing time and would absolutely go back. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service.

Compared to the farmingdale location the ambiance of this one is giving forgotten step sister aside from the back table(pictured on the website)they did up very nicely. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very sweet and managed a basically full bar attending to every guest with care. We ordered the Italian nachos which we loved and the Picasso. The nachos had a generous amount of crumbled sausage cheese and bruschetta as well as some spicy peppers. We really enjoyed the nachos. The Picasso was a nice size, but the sandwich lacked a little seasoning and needed a little more balsamic. It felt kind of dry. For cocktails we got the strawberry lemon drop, it tasted a little medicinal and the cucumber lime spritz type drink(I can't recall the exact name). This one was very good. An overall very mixed experience but I want to give it another shot even if only for the nachos
