Another fantastic find on Long Island for an Exceptional Italian restaurant. I got to see all the dishes coming out of the kitchen ( because we had a table next to the kitchen ) they all looked incredible. We ordered Veal Parmigiana and Veal Siciliana both delicious and the veal was like butter, so tender. The sauces on the entrees so flavorful. Side of linguine with tomato sauce and roasted garlic perfect. Very limited wine list , we went with the Chianti tonight which was very good. They had a key lime pie as a special dessert for the night and I can never pass one up, another delicious item. Menu has individual entrees and also offers a family menu options for larger parties. Update - our third visit. Saturday night, about 8:00 P.M., we got the last table for four, near the kitchen. They now have valet parking, but they don't take reservations, despite what's stated on the Internet. Prices have increased and the menu has changed since our visit last year. It's a loud, mostly "smart casual" dressed crowd, and I found myself leaning over the table to enable conversation. Last year, mid-week, it was quiet. Our waitress, Julia, was articulate and very sweet. I ordered the Chicken Sorrentino, which was breaded chicken cutlets with breaded eggplant cutlets in an oily tomato sauce with de minimus infused veggies and melted mozzarella cheese on top. It came with a side dish and I chose the linguine (instead of potato/veggies), but asked for whatever sauce would come with the entrée (instead of marinara, etc.). My dish was delicious, but I became saturated after eating half of it (possibly from the oil or because the portions are so generous), so I took the other half home for another dinner. I purposely didn't order an appetizer to save a little space for dessert and coffee. That said, for starters, they put out complimentary but crude bruschetta for the four of us and they partially sliced about a six or eight inch piece of plain Italian bread in a rattan basket with pats of butter wrapped in foil. I often try the tiramisu for dessert, when available in Italian restaurants. I enjoyed theirs, despite its variant albino appearance (see photo) and flavor. The relative absence of cocoa or espresso initially made me feel as if I had ordered scotch and got a Shirley Temple, but it was still well prepared and went well with coffee. read more

Niche place, location tough, but they do get you in there and are smart about the parking so stay the course, they will take good care of you and you won't be disappointed!!! Food was excellent, service was impeccable. I was impressed at the selection of specials, specifically the fish specials and regular menu pesce options. I enjoy other places locally and I am continually reminded of the limited options. Not at Bella Notte, I had a hard time deciding!!! I won't go into details because i don't need too. Solid 5 Star. Everything was perfect. Great Ambiance Great Service - Huge shout out to Robin our server! And most of all, the Food! Every appetizer and entree was perfection. The Bruschetta - Excellent The Kung Pao Calamari - Tasty, tender and delicious. The Frutti Di Mare over linguini Fra Diavlo - Super tasty, super fresh ingredients, spiced to perfection! The stuffed shrimp looked amazing, The pork Betty special was tender and super tasty. And I really liked the finishing touch, a tray of biscotti was served with our coffee. Went to Bella Notte for the first time this New Years Eve. I wasn't expecting much but was hoping for the best. Boy, was I blown away. The dining room was small but had a cozy vibe. To start, we were served a plate of bruschetta on toasted crostini for the table that was sooo tasty, PLUS a bread basket. My entree of chicken parm was huge, hot and cheesy with a side of perfectly tender roasted potatoes. At the end of the meal, they brought out a very generous plate of biscotti which was such a welcome surprise. Service was impeccable. This is a quality establishment serving quality food. Bella Notte will be seeing a lot more of me in 2026! read more

A treasure in a tiny strip mall! Bella Notte gets you your Italian-American fix with an ambiance that is more family/special occasion-oriented than trendy. White table clothes and and upscale decor, but nothing stuffy about it. My father has been coming here for a few months now and talks about how much he loves it. We had a family dinner here the other night, the five of us at a large circular table. We didn't make a reservation but I think that can't hurt, especially on a weekend! The dining room is spacious and they accommodate large groups quite easily. There was a large family a couple tables over and it didn't at all feel crowded or noisy. Their menu is extensive (and there's a lot of specials). Nothing is marked as vegan and when that's the case, I always ask to make sure. The very informed waitress said that they will make things to order and that would be my recommendation if you have restrictions. The marinara is vegan by the way and very tasty. I ordered spinach and broccoli sauteed in garlic and oil over penne and it was excellent (even with my request for just a little garlic, the roasted cloves were plentiful, so if that's your thing, you'll be very satisfied). There's a nice array of reasonably priced quality wines by the glass. A full bar is available, with a friendly bartender that made my Dad's Manhattans perfectly. Easily one of the best Italian restaurants on LI every time my family and I go there we always walk out pleased. Service is the only reason this place gets four stars it really depends on the server here but it's usually good. The food though is always excellent for a appetizer we usually get the Zucchini Bolognese and Stuffed Mushrooms, Entree wise my dad gets the Veal Marsala, my mom gets the Veal Sorrentino and I get Veal Chop Milanese. Average. Nothing to write home about. Got penne ala vodka - the prosciutto they serve it with overpowered the flavor. Bolognese wasn't great either. Generic meat sauce flavor. The thing that was the most disappointing was the waiter. Too busy texting on his phone or chatting with other people to check on us, refill waters, or really pay attention to his other tables. It was a Wednesday and not busy. The owner (?) I'm assuming, was the only one to check in on how our food was - but at the end of the meal. But he was nice. Overall, for the price I wasn't impressed. My wife treated me to dinner and surprised me for my birthday by taking me here. We are extremely cautious with Covid and don't go out nearly as much as we used to. I was very impressed with how clean and tidy this establishment is. Everyone was wearing masks and everything was sanitary. The food was absolutely delicious. Haven't been to Bella Notte for a while and wasn't thrilled tonight. The waiter had an attitude. The wine menu had incorrect prices listed. Instead of saying $14 glass it said $14 a bottle. This was in a few places. The Chianti price had been hand written and changed but not what we were ordering. The waiter said it was wrong and didn't attempt to satisfy us,just assumed I was getting wine! The food was just mediocre. The veal in the veal sorrentino was chewy. This is where the Italians get their Italian food. It is consistently excellent. The chicken Marsala is incredible. The vodka sauce is unparalleled. The prices are high but it's worth it. If the prices were just a little lower I would order from them multiple times a week. Biscotti with every order is a great treat.
