    Stuffed Artichoke
    Ci C.

We were craving a stuffed artichoke and our fav place was closed on a Sunday so we took a chance on a new spot. The artichoke was pretty good, 3.5/5 the dinners were okay. Nothing special, the bread was homemade though and very good. The server was nice and the place was small and low key which we like.

Cozy nice traditional red sauce joint ..atmosphere was wonderful the service was great .Joe and the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. They have daily specials, it's not a very large place so it's quiet and charming,,stuffed artichoke with the Italian bread crumbs was delicious a nice lemon taste ...stuffed pepper was flavorful,, beef braciole was hearty for a cool rainy day.. along with rigatoni Al dente ...can't go wrong with the ribeye & mashed potatoes and string fried onions ...and I loved there homemade table bread ,, plenty of desserts and cappuccinos, the homemade napoleon is a must try ..come in you will definitely enjoy

We had the pleasure of dining at il Bacetto in Seaford this afternoon. I have driven by this restaurant so many times and have heard great things about the food, but this was our first time eating there. Angela, who I am assuming is the owner/manager, was lovely on the phone. When we called to make a reservation we asked whether or not they have high chairs and she let us know that they have 3 (we only needed 1). We were greeted by a very nice server - he was attentive the whole meal, didn't rush us and ensured that we had everything we needed. We asked the server if they could make filetto di pomodoro pasta (not on the menu) and Angela asked us specifically what we were looking for. Since they have dishes with all of the ingredients they were able to make it. We appreciated that she made sure her understanding of the dish was what we were hoping for and it came out perfect. We had 5 adults and 4 kids in our party. We ordered appetizers for the table to share: -rigatoni a la vodka- my brother said it was the best he's ever had -rigatoni filetto di pomodoro (off the menu) -Caesar salad (comes with croutons - I took the picture after it had already been eaten) -fried mozzarella (not pictured) Entrees: -2 chicken parmigianas (we requested French fries on the side, as we had pasta for an appetizer and that was accommodated - they were great fries) -chicken Bacetto (off the special menu) - chicken with prosciutto, spinach, mushrooms & melted mozzarella in a wine/Marsala sauce with mixed veggies and roasted potatoes -linguini with clam sauce -2 orders of chicken fingers and fries for the kids Angela also showed us their "family deal" take out menu, which I've included here. I'm sure we'll be trying that too. Overall, we had a very nice meal and will definitely be back. The standout dishes were the pastas, but we are looking forward to trying more items on their menu. If you are looking for a trendy spot, this is not the place. But if you are looking for a nice meal with a warm and welcoming staff, you should give it a shot! It reminded me of a more casual Molto Bene (with more reasonable prices). On the menu they mentioned that the owners daughter opened a restaurant called Off the Brook in Merrick, which I have been meaning to try as well.

This place is a gem. We have passed by many times but decided to try it when I read other reviews on Yelp. The staff was very friendly and we soon realized that almost every one dining there was a regular. The bread is homemade and served warm and served with virgin olive oil. We had the stuffed pepper appetizer. A red pepper stuffed with risotto and topped with melted mozzarella. Big enough to share. My meal was veal chop with prosciutto and mozzarella topped in a pink sauce and served with pasta. This was probably the most tender piece of veal I have ever had. We were to to have dessert but there were some interesting items on the dessert menu. Definitely will be back

When we walked in, it felt more like a busy pizzeria with a dining area than the trendy spot we were expecting. The place was packed, and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a table. Once seated, we noticed right away that the menu didn't match what we had seen online. In the videos, every pasta dish came with burrata, but here it was an extra charge. The bread bowl itself was also a $7 add-on, which pushed the $25 pasta dishes to nearly $40 each -- a price that simply doesn't make sense for what you get. Staff was friendly, but the busboys seemed completely untrained, and service overall was slow. We did receive our minestrone soup quickly, but it was just okay. The soup's kidney beans and chickpeas were noticeably undercooked. When the pasta arrived, the disappointment continued. The burrata, which we paid extra for, was cold and hard rather than creamy. Even the waitress seemed surprised when we pointed it out. We also noticed that the regular pasta dishes (served in normal bowls) were much larger portions than the bread-bowl pastas -- despite the bread bowls costing more. At the end of the meal, the reality became clear: the bread-bowl trend is more gimmick than substance. With two pasta dishes and one soup totaling around $100, the value just isn't there. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. Don't be fooled by what you see on social media -- the experience simply doesn't live up to the hype.

So this past Sunday we checked the website and the Sunday Family Day specials were still listed. Our family went to celebrate a birthday and planned on ordering off that menu. We were all seated and had started ordering drinks by that time so we stayed. My disappointment and frustration is the menu was and still is today as I write this, listed on the website. I don't understand the rush. We were eating the appetizer and almost done. No indication that we were in a rush. Yet he felt the need to come over again and interrupt to get the dinner order. We got a high top table in the bar area which was fine. Reservations seem to be a must. People started pouring in and the restaurant and bar filled up rather quickly. The wait staff is just lovely, especially our server Andrew. They start you off with some warm crusty bread and a trio of options for it; butter, olive oil and a cheese spread. We started off with the eggplant meatballs and they were delicious. Served with a lovely tomato sauce, ricotta and some cheese shavings, they were so so good. For the entrees we went for the Pork Osso Bucco and there was a daily special for a Lamb Osso Bucco. First of all the portions are huge, their "dinner plates" are really platters. So while prices are on the high side you get a ton of food; and I must say the food warrants the price. Back to the entrees, the pork Osso Bucco was sublime. The meat shank was super tender and the sauce was superb. Served with a fantastic squash risotto and garlicky zucchini zoodles, it was all perfect and I had a another full dinner to bring home. The lamb version was unctuous and delicious, topped with a demi glaze, served with risotto and asparagus it was another fabulous dish. That pretty much summed up the vibe of the night friendly, relaxed, and memorable. The food was excellent from start to finish.
