I had such a nice time at Kashi. I had the waiter Andy and he was very attentive. I ordered the filet mignon hibachi style and fried rice. I had the kani salad as well it wasn't as creamy as I would like but it was still good. They sung happy birthday to me & gave me fried ice cream. The ambiance is very nice and had great vibes. read more

We love going to Kashi. The portions are excellent, the service is excellent, the ambiance is quiet and the food is amazing, esp the sushi. It has quickly become one of our favorite places. You must make a reservation always, just be aware, and evening parking is a challenge, but they have a valet. There are other delicious choices besides sushi on the menu, so it's great for those who don't want sushi. Drinks are extremely good. Not cheap, but the amount of food you get is actually a good value. read more

Came by for Friday lunch without a reservation and was seated right away, which was a nice surprise. Even though it's technically a chain, the restaurant doesn't feel like one--there's clearly attention to detail in both the space and the food. Most of what we ordered was genuinely delicious. That said, I have to call out one miss: the Organic Chicken Tempura. I wouldn't recommend it. I actually tried to send it back, but the staff made it a bit difficult, so I just kept it and ate what I could. It ended up being a plate of bland, breaded chicken strips with almost no seasoning, served with a strange mix of deep-fried veggies--including broccoli, a thick slice of potato, and even cucumber. It just didn't work and felt like an afterthought. Aside from that dish, everything else was solid. Cocktails were strong and well made. I'd definitely come back--just steer clear of that tempura. read more

Absolutely DISGUSTING and unacceptable. We spent around $130 on lunch and still left a $20 tip because we believed we had received decent service. We asked for our remaining food to be packed to go, meaning the staff physically took our food, handled it, packaged it, and closed the container themselves. When I opened the container afterward, there was a BUG sitting directly on top of my food. I am completely repulsed. What makes the situation even more unsettling is that after our food was returned to us packaged, I specifically noticed one of the servers watching/observing us. At the time I thought nothing of it. After opening this container, that interaction feels extremely uncomfortable in hindsight. I'm not going to claim I know how the bug got there, but I absolutely have questions. How does an employee handle this food, package it, close the lid, and somehow not see a bug sitting right there? Looking at where it was positioned made the entire situation even more disturbing. Whether this was a serious sanitation issue, negligence while packaging our food, or something else, NONE of those possibilities are acceptable. I have photos of exactly what I found. After spending that much money, tipping appropriately, and trusting this restaurant to safely handle our food, opening my container to this was beyond revolting. I will never eat here again, and I strongly suggest checking your food carefully before leaving this establishment. read more

The food was truly outstanding, delivering on the promise of a delightful blend of classic and contemporary dishes. Candy, our attentive waitress, greeted us with warmth and ensured our needs were met with care. Always an amazing experience. One of the few places that are always consistent when it comes to service and quality. Sometimes I go with family, sometimes I go by myself and hang at the bar. The attention by the staff, the atmosphere and the food is simply top notch. My go to when I want Sushi and Asian fusion. read more

my husband and I are obsessed with Kashi. We have ordered over 20 times from them since we discovered them a couple of short months ago. We like to do pick up because it's easy to drive into the parking lot and grab the food. Just know you're gonna be waiting at least 20 to 30 minutes more likely 30 minutes for your food to be ready. It taste amazing and clearly there's a lot of preparation part of it. We've tried so many different things on the menu and everything is absolutely fantastic. I do have to say that the teriyaki sauce is a little bit too sweet however it depends on how you mix it with your white rice. I absolutely love the rolls here and I can't get enough of it. The soups are also delicious. Shout to the extra sweet and attentive staff read more

Kashi has a lot of style, especially given its strip mall location, so if you're looking for a sushi bar with a lot of ambiance, perhaps for a special occasion or even a date (but go on the side as it gets packed with families and large groups). Besides a more sophisticated ambiance than your typical sushi place, we experienced excellent service from our waiter. I also noticed that he handled the large table of teens next to us with aplomb. The menu is not very vegetarian/vegan friendly. You are limited to edamame and several rolls, but that's about it. There's not a single hot entree. I ordered a peanut avocado roll and an AAC. I found them to be sloppily made. By this I mean foreign substance on the rice (roe? salmon? something pink) and most disappointing of all, no damn sesame seeds. While service and ambiance both go a long way, I'm not sure I'd return due to the lack of veg options (and sushi that was a little disappointing). My father and husband eat fish and said their sushi was very good, so take this review with a grain of salt if you're not vegetarian/vegan! read more

It was OK. It's a nice place, But I think the sushi was just good. We can think of 3 other places in this area that we like the sushi better, with similar prices to a bit less. So we won't botther going back. read more

Moved from Long Beach, and was looking for a new spot in Wantagh. Kashi seems to fit the bill. Atmosphere was laid back and casual. Beautifully appointed with great service, we found the food to be exceptional. $1.50 oysters! Got a dozen to start with some crispy rice with tuna. Tuna and salmon hand rolls were hefty with nice thick slices. Yellowtail and jalapeño and salmon with avocado sushi was also tasty. Good sake selection. Bonraku is our favorite. Will be a regular. read more

After several visits I'm finally convinced with the service, ambiance and overall quality of Kashi in Bellmore. Although I wouldn't put kashi Bellmore in the ultra stratosphere of sushi spots in NYC, for Nassau county I would put them near the top. Bias to the tuna carving experience event that I recently attended, the quality of the event was amazing and will certainly result in future visits. Recommended to anyone looking for quality sushi regardless of price. read more

Delicious fresh food, creative yummy cocktails, excellent service- staff was very attentive & energetic (Benni & Steven took care of us), and a fun ambiance. We really enjoyed our dining experience at this location of Kashi and will definitely be back! We had the crispy rice with spicy tuna, tuna pizza, edamame, peanut mango avocado salad & the sex on the beach roll. Everything was delicious and fresh. I wish I took photos of the food as everything was beautifully presented as well! read more

The food was good, very innovative and fun, but still had the classic rolls. I think my favorite dish here was the spicy edamame. If you come with friends who are vegatarian, it's an easy menu to order from The drinks were phenomenal as well, a tad on the sweeter side but that's what I prefer. Great place for parties, as they had large tables and there were several birthday parties going on with shots and singing going on. I think what soured my experience was the wait; our fault because we walked in on a Friday night with no reservation. They told us 30 minutes, which we were okay with, but we let them know that if it was any longer, we could go somewhere else since we were starving. When we checked in with them at the 40-minute mark, they said they were cleaning the table. It wasn't until over an hour later that we were sat down. The service was kind of fine, maybe our server was new, but they were a bit clumsy and spilled the drink (which was fine, because that drink was filllled ). It was when the check came, though, that left a weird feeling; they plopped the check down in the middle of the table while we were still talking and walked away. Very rude. We waited so long, the restaurant was slowing down but there were still other tables sat, and it was still an hour away until closing, so it kind of felt like we were being kicked out... read more

Me and my friends were here 1-30-26, and when we went to order and the bill was 210 dollars (there was 5 of us) the waitress named candy said "can you afford this" and then said "this is without tip", this was rude first of all, i didnt like my food so politely i said this is kind of dry. there was nothing she did to help, and was asking one of my friends to tip more(her bill was 54.31 and she handed her 60) and she would not leave until she gave 5 more dollars. She was rude and didnt even bother to say "thank you" or "have a goodnight " or anything she just left looking angry without saying a word. actually the worst service ever, we were judged before we even got our food and was constantly asking for more in tips. worst service ever oh my god read more

Great great food and service. We started with edamame for the table then ordered sushi and two teriyaki dishes. I had the salmon teriyaki, good portion, lots of sauce the way I like it and a good portion of veggies and brown rice for a happy belly. I also had the shrimp tempura which was flavorful great kick with the sauce. The ladies had sushi and had no complaints. We shared red sangria again no complaints. I will come back. My fella made me laugh because he's come out with me to a few Asian Fusion places and one constant is that the wall decor, whether in wood or metal is all done to represent waves. He was right! Behind the bar, the sushi bar and foyer... all good though, the luxurious interior matched the quality of food and service. Have eaten at the Jericho location and quality certainly wasn't compromised being at another venue. Friendly staff, attentive service, and happy hour prices that can't be beat. The happy hour menu had a nice variety and selection of beverages, appies and rolls. Whether for girls night out or romantic dinner for two, I'd absolutely recommend Kashi. read more

Would have been 5 stars if not for the antics of the front desk girls on my most recent order. Have done takeout here many times and also ordered party platters - food has been consistently great and always ready on arrival...until this past weekend Showed up to pick up a pretty hefty catering order I called for a week ago and was met with a hostess who looked at me like a deer in headlights. One of her coworkers eventually finds it written down on an index card taped to the wall. No apology, no owning up to the mistake, just started entering the order as if it had never been given before, takes my money and then decides to inform me it would be ready in 20 minutes. I inquired why this was happening and she tells me oh well you didn't pay over the phone...umm, nobody asked me to and they never have before - also I called and placed the order a week ago so it's not like they got surprised by this. Again, blank stare & no answer, suddenly speaking to the other girl behind the desk in their own language and giggling, not exactly sure what was so comical about all of this. Again I asked what was going on and got no answers, just that they're working on it. Since I'd already paid I had no choice and waited out the 20 minutes for them to get the order together making me late for the party I was bringing it to. Again the food was good but this whole situation just left a bad taste in my mouth. No sense of urgency, no apology, just giggles and side chatter intentionally in a language I couldn't understand. The experience has me uncertain on whether to return. read more

They have amazing lunch specials here. They also have vegan options & everything here is delicious. The watermelon mojito from here is one of my all time favorite drinks ever. To each their own, but if you don't like strong drinks, you need to tell the server to pour a little lighter. During dinner times, the drinks are extremely strong which depending on your taste could be a positive or negative. Never ordered something here that I didn't like. 10 out of 10. read more

Good sushi, really nice dining room. Kinda trendy, very busy dining in on Friday night. Sat at 6:30 with four of us with no rez. Apps came out quick, we should have ordered our sushi and entrees at the same time as apps b/c things clearly got backed up and we ended up waiting a bit for our next course. As we left after 8:00 the place was mobbed, not even a place for ppl waiting for tables to comfortably stand. They also don't have the propane fire heater outside yet which provides some relief while waiting. Can't say anything was really standout. Service was really good. read more
