Scallop, steak, filet mignon, chicken, and shrimp Hibachi Lunch
    Jenny L.

After Benihana set my childhood standard, it's tough to beat them unless the chef is more entertaining with tricks while cooking. We brought my niece here thinking she'd enjoy the show, but she found her phone more engaging to watch. Some memorable moments included the flames to jumpstart the show and tossing the egg to break on the blade after twirling the knives around. We tried all their hibachi lunch combos with shrimp, scallops, salmon, chicken, Angus steaks, and filet mignon. We also ordered sashimi lunch and a peanut avocado roll, which my niece finished without leftovers. The meat and seafood was cooked tender to go well with the two sauces. However, the salmon was overcooked. It's hard to cook fish just right for it to be edible. Service was friendly, fast, and helpful. They spoke in Chinese to help my parents order. There is ample parking in this strip mall lot. It was easy to find as the first restaurant on the right when you turn into the lot.

Family dinner at Sasa for a birthday was so fun! The chef was very personable and interacted with us the whole time. He gave the birthday boy a crown to wear and they brought out ice cream with a candle at the end and sang! The food was reasonably priced for hibachi and plentiful! Definitely make a reservation for a Friday or Saturday evening!

Came here late night on Saturday for Valentine's Day. It was very busy and we waited a bit after coming in. We sat at a hibachi table. We got to start a hot sake and Sapporo. Both pretty good. Then we had the sweet heart roll which came with a lot of spicy salmon and tuna. It was pretty good. Then it was time for hibachi. I ordered steak and scallop. The chef was good but I felt like the food portion was smaller compared to normal time. They cut a large chunk out of each steak, might be fat, but there is less meat than usual. Didn't look like all fat to me. Also one of the diners didn't want his veggies so when I said can I have his portion they rudely said "we don't do that" but proceeded to give me a little bit more later. Then when it came to the scallops I only got 4 pcs but I felt embarassed to ask for more because the chef looked annoyed. 4 pcs is not a lot you can see the other photos they got more. Anyways I understand it's a busy night but I felt like the service could have been a little bit smoother. Will go back but definitely not on a busy night like Valentine's Day, maybe for lunch or some other non holiday night.

Came here on a Friday night after softball practice. Despite the small modest entrance, the dining rooms are quite spacious. Ambience: there are two distinct dining rooms. A Japanese sushi bar/restaurant and a hibachi room. Both rooms are modern and brightly lit. Food: we ordered: Yuzu Filet Mignon - medium rare with some citrus. 4/5 Chilean Sea Bass Hibachi - perhaps I should have picked steak or chicken, but cooking sea bass on the hibachi grill yielded an overcooked rubbery piece of fish drowning in teriyaki sauce 2/5 Service - it was either late in the night or we got a new guy trying out for the Hibachi team. Other than the "Volcano", there wasn't much of a show. Fortunately, we came for the food and didn't really mind.

Sasa came highly rated and delivered on its rating. The food was good but not write home about good. The shumai werent the best I have had but had a velvety taste to them. The spring rolls were crunchy and the dipping sauce hit. I ordered all sorts of sushi and they were served fresh and rolled tight. Not a fan of the gyoza but whatever. Looked pretty busy so they must be doing something right. Would order takeout from here again.

We went there before 3pm, the restaurant was open but we were told that they were closed for lunch, they asked what did we want, and we said lunch, they told us that we could order food to go. I said no and started to leave the restaurant, a young waitress said that we would we welcomed to eat there and to have a seat. From then on, the service was terrific. We ordered the Hokkaid Rock Shrimp, it was very good, followed by Shrimp with Broccoli L Box and a Spicy Sesame Chicken L Box. They were good. The place itself has a nice feel to it , although only one side was lit, looks like a large place nicely decorated.

The food was marvelous. The price reasonable the service impeccable. We ordered two platters and enjoyed every tasty piece.

It was good this time around but I don't like the texture of their rice around the sushi. The general tso was delicious, I would order just that the next time around. My experience with the service wasn't great I feel like they don't listen to understand and I felt rushed. It's a cute small location with a large lunch crowd.

I came here with a group for a celebratory dinner. We had a reservation, but to be honest you don't really need a reservation if you're not going to eat at the hibachi tables. The inside is trendy and the bathrooms are clean. The food was tasty. It's of the quality you would expect from a neighborhood Asian fusion restaurant- good, but not great. I had the salmon teriyaki dinner bento box and shrimp sashimi and I had more than enough food. I was not able to finish my dinner and packed the rest to go home. The shrimp sashimi was interesting- it was served with rice noodles instead of rice. The dinner bento box came with shumai (delicious), crunchy spicy tuna roll (fresh), shrimp and vegetable tempura (yum!), rice, and your entree + vegetables. It was a pretty good deal. All in all, I would come again for a casual dinner or lunch.

We came here for Valentine's Day and made a reservation just in case it was busy. They had heart lollipops out at the front desk which was a nice touch. Thankfully when we got there, it wasn't packed but by the time we sat all hibachi tables were full! The seats were spread out and I didn't feel like we were sitting on top of each other. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our hibachi chef was very entertaining and we really enjoyed our meal! The salad was good but literally SWIMMING in dressing. I get that some people love that dressing, but it was just too much for me. Next time, I'd just ask for that on the side. We asked that not that much butter be used in our meal, our chef definitely understood and towards the beginning of the meal prep was conscious of it, but when it got to the protein, literally no holds barred on that butter! I got the chicken and shrimp combo and the hubby got chicken and scallops. The shrimp were huge but the scallops were less than expected, a bit on the small side but not quite bay style. My little one got a shrimp tempura role and really enjoyed it! The meal was very tasty and the portions were decent. It was a bit of a hike for me, but if I'm ever in that area and feel like hibachi, I'd go back.

I will preface this by saying I consider K-city a 5/5 for Long Island - probably a 4/5 if K-city was in Queens tbh. If i was in the Nassau area I default to K-city vs. Kpot! I mainly go to K-city for the hotpot vs. the kbbq/hot food selection. The bbq is okay but the grill itself is pretty small. The prepared food selection is also okay, includes both hot food & sushi but I mainly consider it as food to eat while my hotpot is getting ready (lol). The broths are very legit with the variety offered being spicy (mala with the Szechuan peppercorns), mushroom, pork bone, herbal ( I believe is a mix of pork & chicken + herbs), tomato and mushroom. My favorite thus far have been the spicy & herbal! I appreciate that the meats are also included in the buffet section as well so I can control the quantity as opposed to some other hotpot/bbq places where the meats come pre-portioned. I think the main drawback of K-City as opposed to Spring Shabu (my personal 2nd favorite choice in nassau) is definitely the veggie selection & quality. Having said that, the veggie selection is okay and has the main things I get like the enoki mushrooms, napa cabbage, broccoli and noodles.

A lot of people seem to give high praises of this place. Several friends and family even…read morerecommended to me. Of course the beast in me have to try! First off, yeah its a bbq/ hotpot kind of joint. AYCE of course. I have to say the little personal hotpots they give us are cute. The broth choices doesn't seem to matter tbh. Eventually you're chucking all types of seafood and meats that will make your broth good regardless. The pot is a bit on the smaller side if you choose 2 different broths. Hoping the 1 flavor one would be bigger but its the same. Cause of the split pot inside. As for the choices it's pretty standard hotpot stuff. Nothing too crazy to write home about. The grill side was a bit on the disappointment. Sure they have "marinated meats" but when I went they just chuck frozen galbi on top of the marinated meat. Not sure if they didn't have enough time for prep but I felt like the workers are just throwing things in for us animals to eat regardless of flavors. The cook station and sushi station was probably the most disappointing stations of them all. Majority of the cooked foods were cold. you would assume theres some kind of heat light warmer or steam bath to keep the foods warm but nope... most of them were just out and about and cold. The sushi station was lack lustered... selections were limited. Just your average carb city and fillers. The sashimi were not appealing imo. Overall, i felt like this place maybe good for younger audiences or family outings. Kids will like it cause of all the different types of fried/fast food styles. Also... just a tip for some of you out there. If you see raw oysters and raw clams with ice cubes on them... it's for HOT POT to COOK THEM IN! If you want the legit ones goto the sushi station for them... DONT EAT THE ONES AT THE HOTPOT STATION! MOST LIKELY YOU WILL GET SICK IF YOU DO! I'm pretty sure their were signs that state that ...but saw some of these "adults" SLURPING AWAY before even making it to the table... and im like...bro is gonna be on the toilet for sure... SO yeah.. BE SMART! READ BEFORE STUFFING YOUR FACE WITH THE RAW STUFF!
