East Eats Farmingdale NY is an Asian Chinese takeout restaurant. Upon entering I saw a sticker that said Fave. I asked the lady behind the counter what it meant. "Fave" means that neighbors have followed your business. So, this is a known restaurant. There are tables and chairs to sit inside and they do deliveries locally. I ordered 2 appetizers. The 3 Vietnamese mini rolls tasted good as did the rice. Of the 3 desserts listed ,, (I was looking for the Taiwanese Pineapple mini cake) They only had Almond cookies. read more

So I'm feeling "under the weather" still & yes it was another super rainy day!!! I've been taking my homeopathic cold medicine which gets me thru the work day but I still want my dinner n bed otherwise. My father ordered food in person and said it was very busy. He told me he had to wait to order while the girl answered the phone etc then the food to be ready -he quoted an hour of waiting. Then my order was steamed chicken n broccoli but it was with friend rice. I'm allergic to onion and sensitive to Gluten so I never order that! My dad said he ordered right- the people at east eats said otherwise ‍ either way I called n went back n problem solved! So my advice- order online thru yelp & check you orders before you leave!! Very underwhelming Chinese food. I heard about this place for quite sometime. Decided to order lunch and get something for my mom while she's been working from home. I ordered shrimp and broccoli with brown rice lunch special. It was just...okay. I felt the sauce was very underwhelming and needed more flavor. With my lunch special I picked egg drop soup. The soup had good flavor. My mom ordered shrimp and lobster sauce lunch special with fried rice lunch special. While she said it was good, she stated her rice was cold and that the hot lobster sauce was just put on top of it. With her lunch special she picked an egg roll, which she also stated was okay. For an appetizer we shared shrimp shumai. The appetizer came with 6, so perfect for sharing. They tasted just like any other place we've ordered from...but had decent flavor. Pick up was easy during this pandemic. I waited outside the door and a worker brought me my food. Wait-time was appropriate. I am willing to come back to try something else. I finally got an opportunity to check out East Eats for the first time, Wow was I impressed. This is definitely one of the greatest Asian restaurants in Farmingdale. By far. I went with the slow cooked beef and ramen bowl. Check out the attached photo. It was absolutely out of this world . They also have Japanese Ramen soups as well with pork belly chicken. You name it. They also have create your own dishes to traditional Cantonese and Mandarin dishes. They also offer Thai as well. I love East Eats so much. I'm in Heaven. PS I also tried their fried pork dumplings. Went here again. Some of the Food is edible but it is very much lacking in flavor. I felt like everything I ate besides the crab rangoons, was very bland. The crab rangoons are sooooo good and the sauce it comes with is amazing. I ordered sesame chicken, chicken fried rice and beef and broccoli. The beef and broccoli had such an odd fishy smell and tastes I had to get rid of that. I took a few bites of the chicken and rice but the rest is just sitting in my fridge and will probably rot in there. read more

They said they hadn't processed my order yet and delivery would be about 20 minutes later. They did not arrive for at least 45 minutes, it might have actually been longer. The food was okay. For years J&J in Seaford was my go-to Chinese takeout spot, but recently I'd noticed the food wasn't quite the same as it used to be. Turns out, the old proprietors had sold it. In my quest to find a new place I stumbled across East Eats. I was admittedly a bit skeptical since the menu offers not only Chinese fare, but some Thai dishes, ramen and also bubble tea. More often than not these hybrid joints turn out to be a disappointment, but I elected to give them a chance anyway as having ramen & bubble tea around the corner is a dream come true. Much to my surprise I walked in to find the previous owners of J&J behind the counter! Turns out East Eats is their new endeavor, and the amazing flavors they had over there have transferred over from Seaford perfectly! Chinese dishes are just as I remember them, especially the homemade crispy noodles (be sure to ask - they sometimes use the store bought thin ones unless you specify). We ordered the Drunken noodles with Chicken & shrimp ; chicken wings and sesame shrimp with white rice. Our favorite was the drunken noodles! To be honest, I've tried it in many other places, but this restaurant made it just perfect! One of the best Drunken noodles I've ever had and almost half the price! I order their Beef Ramen bowl, with extra beef. It's sooooo good. The beef, I don't know what they do to it but it's so tender and melts in your mouth. The broth I get spicy and it's perfect to awaken your senses and doesn't overpower the vegetables or beef. I also order bubble tea frequently from there, very refreshing! read more

Used to like the previous Chinese food place that was at this location but it took a dive towards the end. Happy to see East Eats come in and turn it right back around. This is quickly becoming my favorite Asian restaurant. The food has been top notch every time I've been there. The menu offers a lot of things you don't find at your usual Chinese takeout place. The restaurant itself is newly renovated and very clean. To top it all off, the owners are super nice. We've ordered twice during COVID-19 and they've been great - fast and accurate delivery. Food is very good, a combination of the typical Americanized Chinese cuisine but with a considerable ramen and Thai menu. Some of the best Crab Rangoons I've ever had at a Chinese food restaurant. Sesame chicken, though not super crispy, is very flavorful...it's a big hit with the whole family. Sweet & Sour chicken is also way above average and quite good. Love all the side dishes as well. They made one mistake once with an online order, and when called, they were extremely polite and apologetic, and immediately sent someone back out to us with the missing dish. That's a huge plus for the business, as I've encountered other chinese food places that get downright nasty for their own mistakes (see my review for Wok n Roll in Massapequa). Not many places near me have bubble tea so I went specifically for that. Waited 5 minutes to place my order and another 10 for the tea. Tea was still warm and barely had any ice in it . Boba was under cooked and hard as rocks. Haven't tried the food but wouldn't recommend the tea read more
