I came here for takeout on a Sunday afternoon and the timeline for takeout was exactly as the hostess quoted. My boyfriend and I ordered chicken pad thai, chicken pad see ew, curry puffs, and Thai iced tea. All of the food was delicious and well seasoned. Everything was made fresh and we enjoyed our meal. This was our first time visiting this establishment and we will be sure to return in the future. When we arrived to the restaurant, there were no patrons yet and everything was clean and quiet. read more

Best Thai Food!!!! We live 30 min. away so we can't come as often as we like but try to come a couple of times a month. We love this place and there is never a time we come and don't get a duck dish because it's that good. We love the basil duck and amazing duck the best. We've also tried many other dishes and everything is delicious. We love getting the refreshing coconut juice and for dessert, if it's in season you must get the mango sticky rice. Yum! The owners are so sweet. Can't wait until our next meal there. read more

It's called "Amazing Thai" for a reason...because the food is amazing. Thai dumplings, curry puffs, tom ka goong soup, and pad thai noodles are always "amazing" - and you can't go wrong with trying new dishes on the menu. Friendly service whether you do takeout or eat in the small, charming dining space. read more

So I ate here on Saturday and the food was great. Ambiance not so much. Service was ok only because only a few individuals are there. I had the curry puffs, pad Thai noddles and the fish. All delicious. I will go back but I think I have to choose wisely because the food is good and the place is small. Go on the wrong day and you will be waiting a while I think. Just speculating though. Go, you will not be disappointed. read more

The name says it all. The food is amazing. I see why they have 5 stars on yelp. Besides having amazing food, the owners are serving and cooking for you. They made us feel so welcomed. We will be back over and over again. read more

Absolutely the best Thai food all around. Thai is my go to and I have tried over 100 restaurants in NY alone. Amazing Thai has a simple name and truly amazing food. I would not go anywhere else. My order is the Lad Na Beef, the Amazing Duck and the pad see ew. So grateful to find such an Amazing place. The owners Joy and Ken are the best and cook with such care. read more

Super Delicious food, great cozy spot for a nice dinner. Serving authentic Thai food.

When I heard that the owners of Thai Angel reopened under a new name and a new home, I had to go! It's been a few months since I heard about the opening, so my boyfriend and I finally went back for dinner! It's a smaller spot, only a few tables but the food is just as delicious as I remember! My boyfriend and I started with Thai dumplings. They were so flavorful and the sauce was perfect. For my entree I had chicken pad Thai with medium spice. The spice level was perfect! Portion was also very generous and I'm excited for leftovers. My boyfriend had pad won seen with beef. He throughly enjoyed it. Prices were extremely reasonable! For an appetizer, two entrees and a soda the total came to $44 (including tax, before tip!) Joy was very welcoming and even said she remembered us being a frequent customer in the past. 5 stars all the way! read more

Phenomenal food, owners are more than gracious, and welcoming. Our favorite place.!!!!

Really, really above-average Thai food. I got the tofu pad Thai, and it was super good--definitely lived up to the "amazing" in their name. Overall, if you're looking for solid Thai food that hits the spot, this is the place to be. Definitely worth a visit! read more

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant (they had a prior location in Islandia) for over a decade. The food is always consistently fresh and amazing quality. Joy and Ken are the sweetest people and always welcome us with a warm embrace. I now live in New Jersey but my parents and brother still frequently order take out or dine in. We always feel like family here and love coming back. Everything on the menu is a hit. I'm pretty sure we've practically tried everything. It truly is hard to pick a favorite but I do love the green curry, pad Thai, pad se ew, pineapple chicken fried rice just to make a few. The restaurant is small so try calling ahead if you plan on dining in or carrying out. You won't be disappointed! Don't even hesitate, just come here! Tell them Brianna and Judy sent you. read more

Ambiance: warm, could be either a quick stop in or a date night vibe depending on time of day. Love the cute umbrellas in the roof. Service: top notch, frequent check ins, friendly waiter Food: delicious all around. They have various spice levels. Went here with my boyfriend. We had chicken pad thai and drunken noodles. Think it may be one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. Really liked their pad thai. It wasn't dry or too sweet and you get ample amounts of chicken. The drunken noodles was spongy noodle goodness with a good mix of veggies. I've sat down and ordered pick up several times from this restaurant. Food is always piping hot and delish read more

The best Asian restaurant east of Queens on Long Island. Chef and owner from Chang Mai, Thailand and uses ingredients from their own farm. We had a whole fish, duck, Tom Yum, and a lunch special. They were all prepared well with the flavors very well balanced. Very friendly service too. read more

Walked into an empty dining room on a rainy Tuesday late afternoon/ early evening. The hostess/ waitress Joy greeted my daughter and me with a smile and told us that we could sit wherever we'd like. The dining room looked immaculately clean and it was decorated nicely with some interesting Thai themed artwork. We were handed two paper menus and told to take our time and feel free to ask any questions. My daughter ordered a Thai iced tea and I stuck with water, which was promptly delivered to our table upon sitting. My daughter LOVED the ice tea. She said it was better than the any of the ones she has tried at our local places. We shared an appetizer of keaw tod which consists of "golden crispy fried wontons stuffed with ground chicken and Thai herbs, served with a plum sauce". They weren't kidding. The wontons were perfectly golden crispy fried pillows of tastiness. The plum sauce added a little sweetness into the equation. Such a well executed appetizer. I ordered the chicken pad se-eaw and my daughter ordered the beef pa nang curry. I have to say, the chicken pad se-eaw was the best I've ever tasted. It was evident that there was ALOT of love out into this dish. Every ingredient was very fresh and flavors of sweetness, a tiny little bit of kick and fresh chicken just jumped out at me with every bite. My daughters dish was served with white rice. She devoured it. She hadn't ever tried that particular dish before so there was no way to compare, but the few bites I had were outstanding. The service is just second to none here. The chef, Ken, came out of the kitchen and said hello and asked if we enjoyed our food. A very nice touch. Just a top-notch experience. These people are the owners of "Thai Angel" in Islandia and they always had great food there. I hope they do well. Plenty of parking, the restaurant is in a shopping center. Maybe 10 tables overall. Head on out and show them some support if you're looking for great Thai cuisine. I highly recommend this place. read more

I went in to place a take out order. First she told me it would be a long wait. So I said okay, figuring I would place my order run an errand and return. I began to place my order and the woman reused to take it. She told me she had too many door dash orders and to come back one other time. The restaurant was not full, many of the tables were empty. She told me to go. I left the restaurant. There were no other African American patrons in the restaurant. I got the message she was sending and left. Clearly, I will never return to this restaurant again. There are two other Thai restaurants that serve means I have had not problems, This restaurant will never see me again. read more

4th time back at Amazing Thai! The name alone tells the story. This is amazing and delish! Every bite allows you to feel and taste another level of pure goodness. Went this afternoon for take out cause had the dogs in suv. Joy is such a beautiful and caring person. The restaurant is immaculate and so inviting. What a beautiful location! There is no other Thai restaurant that can even come close. This is as authentic as it gets especially where other places are trying to get business claiming they are authentic Thai. This place is amazing like the name says. The food is authentic not an Asian fusion restaurant like others proclaiming they cook thai food. A friend and i went to "Amazing Thai" Restaurant in Copiague for dinner. Amazing is the perfect word to describe every aspect of the experience. The decorations were authentic and beautiful. Joy and Ken, the owners, were warm, welcoming and eager to ensure a wonderful dining experience for everyone. The food was unbelievably delicious. Come try this restaurant, I promise you, you will become a regular too because the food is that good. Can't wait for my next meal at Amazing Thai read more

We almost always order Duck from here! It's amazingly crispy. I've also tried takeout twice and the food is just as good as when it was served to the table. The dishes and presentation are wonderful and make for a great date experience. Order appetizers though because the entree takes a bit long to come out. No other local Thai restaurants compare, so don't bother going elsewhere unless the chef is on his vacation day! It's an order of magnitude different. This place is 5 stars, everywhere else is 2 or 3 (regardless of what Yelp says). I'm a meat eater, but the vegetarian dishes are wonderful; especially Amazing Rama and the Spicy Eggplant. I usually order Chicken with Sauteed String Beans, Chicken or Shrimp Pad Thai, and for Duck; my favorite is the Tamarind Honey Duck, with the Amazing Thai Duck and Hot Sweet Basic Duck close behind. The heat on all the spicy dishes is on point; it doesn't build, but the Hot Sweet Basil Duck was a bit too hot for me without rice to cut it! My fault for trying to cut carbs. read more

We were in the mood for Thai and it got a little late to go to our regular place so we came to yelp for a local Thai restaurant open past 8pm and luckily we came across this hidden gem. All I can say is holy freshness this place is incredible ! We were met by Ethan son of the owners who was extremely knowledgeable about the menu the ingredients and most importantly (for me) the spice levels lol. With Ethan's help we decided to go with the veggie spring rolls and shrimp soup as appetizers the spice level was just right the spring rolls had an amazing crisp and unmatched flavor. Our main entrees were a curry chicken and the whole fish in their ginger sauce. Needless to say the food was extremely fresh the flavors were spot on and the presentation WOW. The ambiance definitely matched the setting it's not a very big place super low key and so happy we came across this. This restaurant is family owned which makes us love it even more we will definitely come back very soon. It's safe to say we found a diamond in the wild . read more

It was my first time ordering here with these newly owners and boy just by talking to them and having a conversation.. I immediately felt so happy they moved here to Copiague. Meeting Joy and Ken for the first time had me thinking "wow such nice people". In addition, the food was A+++ AMAZING!! I cannot wait to go back and order again!
