[[HIGHLIGHT]]This tea shop is by an entrance of Tangram. If you have passed by before, you've probably been hit with the smell of black tea or their bubble waffle batter cooking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Similar to a lot of the bubble tea places around, getting service is very easy as you order from a kiosk. I usually come here to try out different fillings in these bubble waffles because they have a lot of interesting different types but this time I saw that they started adding pineapple bun topping on top of the bubble waffles as well! I was super excited because I have only seen that being done in Hong Kong so far. I really enjoyed the sweet topping as it added an extra texture to my bubble waffle, however, my sister and her boyfriend got the original waffles and it was pretty disappointing. We are use to our bubble waffles being nice and crispy and even though the flavor was on point, the texture of their fell extremely flat even though we ate it while it was fresh. I will be back to try different ones of their bubble waffles in the future and hope that this was just a onetime thing.

Signature HK milk tea $6.75 w/ clear jelly (extra $1.25)- strong- somewhat bitter, so def not everyone's cup of tea, quite literally, but I prefer a bit stronger as opposed to overly sweet & light
I had their Amber Pearl Milk Tea and it fell short of expectations unfortunately. Slightly on the higher end in terms of pricing, the bubbles didn't have much flavor and the texture was a bit off. The tea flavor was okay but not outstanding.

This weekend was my first time trying Cuppa Tea in the Tangram mall. I always passed by it when I go to Pop Mart and finally I gave it a try. I was disappointed at the waiting time that I had to wait for my milk tea, matcha egg waffles, and pineapple buttered bun. I had to wait 25 minutes for my whole order to be ready! It was ridiculous waiting for that long! I placed my order with the self kiosk and it was that long! I couldn't believe it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were 4 self kiosks in total and many people placing their orders. It was that popular and crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried out their milk tea and it was Hong Kong style. It was just the right amount of sweetness to make the tea good and not bitter. The matcha egg waffle was a bit greasy and broke apart when I looked into the bag. It was a lot of egg waffle pieces. Not sweet at all and somewhat slightly matcha in my mouth. It was not that strong of a matcha flavor that I really wanted out of it. The pineapple bun with the butter was very delicious with the butter even though it is fattening! I know I'm going to get high cholesterol from this but it was so worth it to try out the bun with the piece of butter. The self kiosk allowed me to put the butter aside or in the bun. Luckily I tried out the bun with the butter. Next time I might get it again if I pass by here.

It lacked flavor and took a while to make. The plain one was already sitting there, it was not a fresh one so it was cold. You order through the kiosk, did not have much interaction with the staff.

The egg waffle mini pancakes, however, were a bit of a letdown. The flavor just was not there, and that was disappointing. Wifey pointed out that they were not as soft on the inside as they should be, which was a miss for her. At six dollars a pop, you would at least expect them to hold up against the ones you used to grab from street vendors for $1 back in the day. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

The store has kiosk to order items and a pick up area to pick up your items. There are a couple of seats for people to sit down and enjoy their food. I ordered a bubble tea and a pineapple bun. The bubble tea is great. I like the presentation of the pineapple burn. However, the butter tasted a bit weird. It tasted like a fridge taste.

Heard about the pineapple bun egg waffles and finally made the trip to try it. Ordering was quick and the waffles were made in 5 minutes. We got the pineapple egg tart waffles. They were good but could be slightly better if they used a bit less oil so the pineapple parts were a bit more crunchier. I will say this is dense and you may need two to finish this. They were premade and warmed up in the oven. Egg waffle was crispy but not fresh. Pineapple bun top was not crispy but powder like. For $11 worth of egg waffle, I would expect better quality. Fresh lemon black tea: $6.75. E ordered less ice but still a lot of ice. Lots of fresh lemon flavor but lacking tea flavor. Coconut mango drink $8.75. This was ok. My kids like it. I ordered on the kiosk and some of the options were weird. We had to choose no ice or else we couldn't check out. The picture shows a jar, but when I got it, it was in a cup. I was a little disappointed, because I wanted to take it for later and the cup was harder to transport. It was also a bit of a wait. The tea was nice and strong, but towards the end, I got a bit tired of it. The only redeeming bit was that my cousin got one of their pineapple buns with butter and it was actually one of the best buns we've had. I came back to Cuppa Tea and ordered at the kiosk. I got the Signature Hk Milk Tea (iced) and added pearls. Last time, I had gotten the glass bottle so I didn't need it again this time. The Signature Hk Milk Tea is very good. It is smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. The pearls were great and not overly chewy. My husband got the Mango Passionfruit Jelly Iced Tea and he really enjoyed it. It was very refreshing. After ordering, it doesn't take long for it to be ready (less than 10 minutes). You can also track on the screens if your drink is in progress or ready. Staff were friendly. Next time, I definitely want to try the Pineapple Butter Bun and egg waffles. Came here for the mini pineapple buns but was disappointed. Not freshly made. They had a few flavors premade so it was cold. The person behind the counter had trouble explaining the difference between the original and the Portugese. Original has nothing inside and the Portugese is supposed to have custard inside but it might as well be original as it barely had anything. All that for $14 so about 50 cents a piece. Tried their egg waffle and unfortunately they were pretty bad :( even though they were made to order, my egg waffle got cold while I was waiting for the second egg waffle to be made. They were not crispy at all and was quite soggy. There was not much flavor to it other than the fact that they were sweet. I normally always finish my food but it was just so bad that I had to throw it out after eating half of it. Staff was aloof and while focused on their work, they weren't friendly with customers. The space is wheelchair and baby stroller accessible, on a bright note. This place has one of the best HK Milk Tea. The velvet milk tea is very smooth. The egglets (bubble waffles) are soft in the inside. The warm pineapple bun with a slab of butter is delicious though not good for folks with high cholesterol. The lemon tea brings back childhood memories. You go to the kiosks to order using a debit/credit card or go to the counter to pay in cash. The employees call your number to have you come pick up your items. Go enjoy! read more

We only ordered the egg waffles. They were just okay. They had a decent taste, but the exterior was not crispy and there was barely any matcha/chocolate taste. We thought the chocolate one would have some melted chocolate inside like a lot of places that sell egg waffles, but there wasn't. It was just chocolate flavored batter hahah. This shop is located on the far side of Tangram mall and another entrance on Prince street. I ordered on the kiosk instead of their app, because I wasn't able to. Luckily, it wasn't crowded so the kiosk was free to use. I tried a couple of their snacks. The aroma from the shop always suck me in. Pineapple bun with butter - not bad. I took it to-go, and the butter can be put aside for you. Heat up the bun when I got home and stuck the cold butter inside. Hong Kong milk tea - cute bottle it comes in. The tea flavor isn't as strong as I would like, but it hits the spot when I have cravings. Pork floss egg waffle - not worth it. I could taste vanilla flavor more than egg. Too skimpy on the pork floss, so I could barely taste anything. Out of the 30 pieces (should be 30), I could only taste about 3 that has. Salted egg egg waffle - this is my favorite and why I come. Stick to this if you like salty sweet combinations. Although, the salted egg is subtle, it is noticeable. Egg waffle is what I crave for very often and not much places makes it anymore. read more

The service was good for the amount of customers they had. It was quick in making all the things on the list. The overall ambiance was simple and cute decorated like a HK vibe. The Milk tea was okay. It wasn't too strong and too sweet but it was lacking something that I can't seem to point out. The bubble waffle was good, it wasn't that sweet but it was lacking the crispy. The pineapple bun was good and crispy. I just the butter melted a bit more. But overall this is a good drop by for bubble tea and HK snacks. read more

Is the bottle an extra cost? What drinks do I order to get the bottle?
From the times I've been there, it's always been included with the HK Signature Milk Tea. Although I think it's possible for them to run out. It is a pricey milk tea at $6 but the bottle does typically come with it.
What kind of milk do they use to make signature milk tea?
Does the HK milk tea taste better hot or cold?
I tried it cold and it was very good and authentic (i have traveled to HK before). I am sure if you tried it hot, it will be tasty as well.
