We came for the first time around 11am on a Saturday. We didn't know that it wasn't a regular cafe where you can just order food and chill. You had to check in with the owner to be seated even if there was seating. We told him that we didn't want to get a full meal but we might get some pastries and drinks. You basically couldn't have a seat unless you were having brunch. He told us that we could sit as this random table for 2 near the stairs. What we ordered: - Red Velvet Crinkle - Ube Crinkle - Sausage & Egg Dutch Baby Pancake (20 Min. Oven baked perfect pancake, Italian Sausage, egg, cherry tomato, avocado, black pepper, red pepper, black sesame seed, cilantro, homemade spicy mayo) - Raspberry Matcha - Ube Matcha The place is so beautiful. With lots of plants and they even sell little gifts. We liked the raspberry matcha more than the ube. We did not like the Dutch baby pancake at all, pretty bland. We also weren't aware that it was a going to take a long time to come out...I just learned on their website that it says it is a 20 min oven baked pancake lol. We only ordered it because we felt like we had to because of their policy. Overall I would recommend it and we would try it again if ever in the area.
Hidden gem alert! My girlfriend invited me to Kunst Coffee Haus in Bayside today, and it was absolutely magical. From the moment you walk in, the space feels like a lush plant shop--its love for greenery makes the atmosphere so cozy and inviting. We tried the Ocean Latte, Burrata Avocado Toast, and Salmon Avo Toast (2 pieces each), and everything was freshly prepared and bursting with flavor. It immediately reminded me of the charming coffee shops in Ridgewood, Queens. This place is perfect for any occasion--first dates, brunch with friends, girl talk, or just some solo laptop time. I can't wait to come back, set up my laptop, and enjoy more of their incredible food and drinks while getting work done. The vibe is so welcoming that I even overheard two clients wondering if you could rent it out for parties--it truly feels like a little oasis in Bayside. Highly, highly recommend!
I've been to Kunst a few times, but I feel like this place really misses in the drinks. They don't have drip coffee. I ordered a latte many moons ago and it was no memorable. I recently ordered an Americano with a little half and half because they don't have drip coffee. We'll it came to me with a lot of half and half. I do like the cafés aesthetics. Its cute and homey. Looks beautiful with the plants and flowers. The service was decent. The girl made me more espresso to make up for the half and half. The coffee stuff stacked and for $5.
Pros: good coffee, unique drink menu Neutral: seating policy means only groups of people can sit at most tables. No laptops or books allowed. Food is decent. Cons: very limited seating. An upstairs space that is not utilized. You must buy food to sit - you cannot just grab coffee here. It is also very expensive for a coffee shop.
This cafe is a bit hidden, as it is off Bell Blvd, behind the LIRR building. When you enter the cafe you're met with fragrant scents and surrounded by beautiful, lush flowers and plants. It's a lovely place to grab coffee with a small group of friends. The space does not seem to cater to larger groups as the tables are pushed up against the walls and the middle section is occupied by plants. There is an upstairs section, but it was closed when we were there.
Delicious Saw Kunst Coffee House on IG. Following KittyCatEva. The Dutch Baby with the sweetest blueberries, lemon curd and a scoop of vanilla icecream lived up to my expectations. They also have a large selection of matches teas. Service was easy, just place your order, get a buzzer, find a table and wait for your order. I loved the ambiance with all the plants everywhere. Nice and cozy, probably busy on weekends, so good on a week day. Parking is an issue though.
Unfortunate experience - the owner of the cafe comes in and comes to us asking if we are a party of 2 as we took the table that seats 3-4. I got permission from the barista as we were a party of 3. We ordered 3 breakfast dishes, 3 specialty drinks and 1 sandwich to go because I know this cafe well and their food and drinks are decent for the area. The baristas were also delightful. Truly, a hidden gem in Bell Blvd. I took my mom and my aunt as today is the last day of the year.. As we were finishing up, I told him that he can seat the next party in 10 min because I was waiting for our to go food to come out. He then laughed and said "but what about the 10 min"? This wasn't my problem to solve as there were other tables that he could've sat them in in the meantime. Instead, he cleared our table while my mom and aunt were finishing up. They had to leave and wait in the car for our to go food while I waited in the front (crowding the area). Having felt this was unfair, I spoke to the cafe owner. He was originally defensive saying he never stated we had to leave but I countered it by stating that he checked in on us asking if we had ordered and waiting for food when there was the device on our table and he saw me order. Mind you, we stayed at max 1.5 hours For Kunst to continue to succeed, I hope he rethinks his business plan and be patient and not run around the cafe before 10 AM clearing out everyone's unfinished plates of food and just chill for a moment. Really giving us all anxiety out here.. Sir, please rethink your approach with your customers as you left a pretty gross taste in our mouth to the start of the day. For his lackluster gross apology, 1 star but for the ambience/baristas/coffee/food, 2 stars
I wanted to go out and find a space for great food and drinks while able to do some work. I had stopped by Just for a takeout so decided to visit there. Upon entry is a beautiful cafe space garden-like with trees and plants. The place had plenty of tables and chairs but be warned that the place is popular and busy. You walk towards the back to order and then find a table. The drinks are multiple and to choose. Kunst makes many of their own syrup and purée and they also have various milk choices. Their food choices are also excellent and delicious. I end up ordering the prosciutto & egg dutch baby pancakes and lavender latte with soy milk. The total came to $30 which is a little expensive but the proportion of Dutch baby is large enough to share. For a Friday afternoon there were consistent for customers so they do have one hour of limit on use of laptop and they do not have WiFi. For the ambiance, food & service, definitely coming back! Highly recommend!
Such a beautiful cafe with lots of plants! You would never guess that the inside is what it is by just looking at the outside. There is lots of sitting around to, making it a perfect spot to work at. The music is played at a soft volume so it's easy to have conversations in there as well. We ordered a yuzu matcha latte and ube latte (with espresso). Both had oat milk in them. I loved how pretty they looked. However, the ube latte was more ube than espresso. I would have liked more of a balance. I did like how it wasn't too sweet. I absolutely adored the yuzu matcha. It was well-balanced and the hint of yuzu was perfect to pair with matcha. All I ever had was strawberry matcha or regular matcha. Yuzu with matcha was new for me and it did not fail to impress. One thing that was interesting was that it took a minute for the baristas to notice that I was ready to order. They looked at me a few times as they were organizing behind the counter... I assumed they just knew. Maybe next time, I'll verbally say I am ready to order. But that threw me off. So just be mindful that you may need to state you're ready to order.
Stopped by this spot for a real estate client meetup and only tried their coffee but what a lovely spot! The café is beautifully decorated with greenery. Giving it 4 star for the pretty decor, coffee was good and service was good the girl at the register was sweet. There's only street parking, which was a bit tight, but manageable. Although I didn't stay for food this time, next visit I'll definitely try their Rose Matcha Latte and the Avocado toast. They have other items on the menu worth trying for next time. Overall a peaceful and pretty coffeehouse. I'll be back to explore more of the menu soon!

It had a relaxing vibe with beautiful plants and flowers throughout the space. At the register, Sandi greeted me. I asked about caffeine-free drinks, and she recommended the Sweet Potato Latte and the lemonades. I went with the Raspberry Mint Lemonade and the Lemon Crinkle Cookie. Totally a fan! It was my first visit with my buddy and fellow Yelper Jo I. The environment and aesthetic is a much welcomed concept in Queens. Walking in, you see green, lots of it in the form of lush plants and flowers everywhere. There is no over powering scents and the high ceilings do make the space feel open and calm. The counter to order is closer to the rear of the store and there's plenty of cafe style seating and communal seating all around. In warmer months, they put small tables and chairs outside on the sidewalk. The artisanal coffee here is what sets them apart. Bold flavor choices, robust and velvety varieties. Many options to choose from, check out the menu pics. I had the Americano and loved it. We also ordered hot food while hanging out. As they are popular for brunch, Jo and I shared the lemon curd blueberry pancakes as well as the savory salmon lox pancake. We likely over ordered but didn't mind, as we're always open to trying more dishes. The lemon curd blueberry was our favorite. I liked that there was extra lemon curd on the side and the blueberries were fresh. They were lightly dusted with powered sugar and thankfully not bathed in syrup. It was a light and satisfying dish even though it was pancakes. Didn't feel heavy at all. The ice cream was a nice touch so you could consider this as a dessert. The lox and eggs were really good as well. Those pancakes were topped with tomato, greens and avocado. Like a full meal on a plate. So glad we shared everything. I'd totally recommend a dine in experience so you can try the food once it's prepared. We both bought sandwiches to go for our family and those held up well considering it needed to be transported home. I recommend the ham and cheese croissant sandwich. read more

beautiful atmosphere. fun specialty drinks. lots of seating rules. the amount of specialty drinks was great - fun matchas and lattes (menus pictured in this review). the ube matcha tasted as if they used actual ube and not extract. you could taste more of the potato flavor and there was even potato pulp in the drink. my partner got the salted maple latte and he said the flavor was good - he could taste the salt. my issue was with the temperature of both drinks. my iced matcha was too warm and my partners hot latte was not warm enough. the ice in my matcha melted immediately and my drink was still warm. but it's nice to know the drinks aren't all ice like other places. seating has various rules - if it's the 2nd tuesday and there happens to be a full moon you cannot sit at this table... jokes but that's what it felt like. read more

If you need a respite from the rest of Bell for a $6 coffee come here. It's got flora and friendliness and quiet. There's a time limit and laptop restrictions but that what makes it so welcoming for me (recovering the addict. Maybe still one) read more

Let me start by saying the Cafe is beautiful. Plants everywhere and it smells amazing. We ordered the Salmon+Avocado. It looks just as amazing as it tasted! The staff were very polite. Definitely making this one of my go to spots in Queens. read more
Quick service! Decor is super cute. If you like the feeling of sitting in a little rain forest, this cafe is for you. I will say for the price is a tad high for the size of the drinks. Not a whole lot of matcha flavor in mine. However I did enjoy the occasional yuzu bits. read more
We came for the drinks and for a spot to do some work. Sadly, no laptops allowed on the weekend :'( We did try their raspberry matcha latte and their Ube matcha latte. Overall the drinks were very good and the cafe is so cute with lots of greenery. It is a little bit pricey. read more

Came here for a mid day pick me up. We ordered coffees and a Dutch baby pancake - was told it'll be 20-30 minutes wait. 40 minutes later we checked in and due to their short staff, they had forgotten. It is completely fine with us and we got our money back. The owner went above and beyond and treated us to baked treats. It was not necessarily but I can tell that the owner takes great pride in his cafe. He was constantly cleaning tables and gesturing to guests to sit in more comfortable spots. We will definitely be back - not just for their food but their amazing service! read more
Ordered uber delivery from here so I can't speak on the service but everything we got was super good and packed well! The flavored matchas are amazing, my favorite being the mango! I also got a croissant and a Dutch baby and both were delicious! Would definitely go visit this place in person next time I'm in the neighborhood! read more
Super cute coffee shop! They have a few tables inside, all surrounded by many beautiful green plants! I've stopped by here waiting for the LIRR and it's a great pit stop to grab your coffee. They have several specialty options as well as your traditional coffees. I tried the following: - Fresh butterscotch cream latte ($7.50) - Sweet potato latte ($7.50) The butterscotch latte was good! But I was not a fan of the sweet potato latte. They use sweet potato purée and personally, I don't think it went well together with the espresso. I do think it's a little pricey for the lattes as you couldn't really taste the coffee as much. Overall, it's not a bad option if you're nearby. read more

Super cute place with lots of greenery. Came here with a friend to catch up on life. Location is off the main road so it's in a quieter area with less foot traffic. But this place was pretty popular and there were quite a lot of people coming in. We order an açai bowl and lemon blueberry Dutch baby cake and it was delicious. However, this place is very expensive. We spent $60 for 2 drinks and 2 dishes. We took the advice from others and ordered a less sugar drink and it was perfect. I was intrigued about the ocean drink cause it had blue cream. All tables were labeled "no laptops" cause they really don't want you hanging around for too long. No wifi on premise. Really pretty inside but it was also hot and stuffy while sitting drinking my iced matcha raspberry latte which was VERY pricey at $8 and change after tax. The flavors were very subtle, watery tasting. Not my cup of tea, onto the next one. read more

I was in the area and stopped by for a bit to work from here for 2 hours as I was in the area. First impression was "wow" as I entered. They have so many exotic looking plants and flowers every where. It really makes the place look exquisite and vibrant. I had a croissant and it was delicious. The only thing I did notice was that this cafe is not friendly for people that want to work on their lap tops. All the tables have signs saying lap tops are not allowed. They do have a bench in the middle that is designated for lap top use, however there are no outlets near by. So you can only work there until your Lap top runs out of juice. None the less this is a cute cafe to drop by for a bite. read more

Came here seeing the good reviews. The tea I got was not bad with the rice etc. the coffee I was a little disappointed. The pull for my shot I saw was over 30 secs on the machine when I was waiting for it. so the flavor of the latte was not that good. Plus the beans that they use. Unfortunately came to try the beans but left not happy. And I needed my caffeine boost. But only took a few sips of the latte and threw it out. The cashier who took my order almost accidentally charge me for 3 drinks but I noticed the price on the monitor and pointed it out. They fixed it. But if it's not that busy should be more conscious of what's going around. Such as the time for the coffee pull and also the charges. read more

Very cute cafe. You see all the plants and greenery all throughout the cafe. You order at the front and are given a device that will buzz when your order is ready. It's quiet and clean. Certain tables are off limits for electronics (which is nice, have people interacting with one another). The food was good. Matcha crepe was delicious and photogenic.
