I deducted a star for their drinks--the quality depends on what you order. Most of their drinks are really nice, but the matcha latte I got had too much milk and barely any matcha flavor. The interior and customer experience is quite nice. The layout is considerate of various customers needs, like there's solo table/ group tables/ low tables for just talking. The pour over coffee tastes great and has that traditional cafe atmosphere, different from franchised cafes like Starbucks/TLJ/ Paris baguette. Unprofessional and unhygienic. As a coffee shop lover, this is the nastiest place I've been to. Asked for less caramel to lessen sweetness of latte. Turned out it was a bit too bland so I asked for the regular caramel amount instead ... and the worker said it would be an extra $2.... Even though we already paid for it and wasn't asking for anything extra. Seemed to be confusion, fine. Another staff member then proceeds to stir the straw in the drink with her hands (no gloves) and passes it back with the straw still in it? No body wants to drink out of a straw you rubbed your hands all over. Nearly $7 for this unhygienic practice. This is a hidden gem. I love the fruity drinks and coffee here. It's got a place to sit, lots of seats and benches and wifi! A great place to relax for a bit. I like the matcha latte and the fruity sodas. I like the white peach and passion fruit flavor. They have a selection of desserts if you want to try. I haven't tried the tofu cheesecake yet. The tiramisu is great. It's located right in the front before the restaurant which makes great flavorful vegetarian food. Give them a try if you have a vegetarian friend or feel like being adventurous. The staff is friendly and have great suggestions. It's located 1 block away from main Street. You'd never know it's there but it is. Definitely check them out. It's a great place to get a drink and cool down from the hot weather. This cafe is so cute and nice, I'm surprised that there aren't that many people or reviews because they definitely deserve all the love! I live in deep Flushing so there really aren't any coffee shops near me other than this one. I came here for the first time today to study and I'm glad I did! The environment is nice; it's a restaurant and cafe combined in one and it isn't too loud. There's also soft christmas piano music playing so it was still possible to study while other people were enjoying lunch. The whole place is also so cute, with christmas lights, plants, and small fake flowers on the tables! I ordered an iced caramel macchiato and despite being extremely tired, it helped me study for a few hours! It was really good and was enough to keep me caffeinated but not too much that I would get heart palpitations from the caffeine. After a few hours, I also ordered the vegan walnut carrot cake! I love carrot cake but it's hard to find them without leaving Flushing so I was so excited to see it in the display! The carrot cake was really good: it wasn't dry or too sweet! If you don't want typical cafe sweets and pastries, they also have their restaurant food that you can order as well! Overall, this is the perfect place for studying or just for lunch! Never did I think that there would be an aesthetic high quality cafe coming in to my little neighborhood! Bodhi Cafe is a must try! I got the hot matcha almond milk latte, which I highly recommend! Sandra, who was very informed, rang me up and even offered me a sample of their flakey yummy croissant! There are PLENTY of outlets, so you never have to scramble around looking for one. I was an avid fan of their previous Bodai Vegetarian restaurant that was on Main St. Flushing. So, when we found out they moved and changed their name to Bodhi Cafe, we were thrilled. Not sure if they plan to bring back their dim sum menu, but it wasn't available when we ordered take out. Here to update my review to say that the tiramisu is decent and their matcha (iced and hot) never failed me; you can actually taste the matcha and it's not watered down or overpowered by the milk. They offer soy and almond milk as alternatives to dairy in your drinks. Music is calm, jazzy, and not too loud so you have the perfect ambience to do laptop work if needed. Plenty of outlets, seating, and again, customer service is consistent & friendly! And if you ever get hungry, they have a joint vegetarian restaurant in the back that you can order from. This cafe is underrated in my opinion; more people should come here. Be advised that they have a $10 card limit, so either bring cash or a friend to buy coffee for. read more

Absolutely loved this place!! I was super excited to see a cafe open up in the more residential part of Flushing, and since it was only a short walk away I had to check it out. The cafe itself is very pretty with a minimalist feel and the decor was cute. I also loved the seating area which is on a sort of elevated platform- very cool! The service was lovely, we were helped by a young man and young woman at 6pm today and they were both so kind and answered our questions regarding the pastries and gave us recommendations. We actually took the woman's recommendation of trying the vegan chocolate cake - it was incredible!! So rich and tasted fresh. Didn't serve us water until we asked (every other table had water). Tables were dirty and sticky. Food was okay, drinks and dessert were decent. Force you to tip after you already tipped??? After we paid the bill and tipped, the server (bald guy) literally came up to us and would not leave us alone till we gave more money to tip and told us it's obligatory.
