Cassis Cake (sponge cake, whipped cream with pineapple layer, whipped cream frosting, berry glaze on top)

I used to go to Lulu and Dino all the time, but then they closed for a while. Their coffee is absolutely delicious, and their pastries and cakes are amazing. I especially loved the deals they used to have for pastries, especially if you came later in the morning. Everything always tasted so fresh. One of my favorites was the pistachio mousse cake, and I also love the red bean buns. I also loved that if you ordered a full cake, they used to give complementary sparklers, candles, and a cake slicer, which was such a thoughtful touch. It made the experience really special. I did stop going for a little while because of a previous issue with dairy charges. In my last visits before the closure, the barista/cashier always charged only $.25 to change the dairy, which is fair, but the owner or manager came over and started raising their voice, saying I had to be charged $2 or $3 extra. The barista and I both felt that was absurd, and thankfully the cashier didn't charge me the higher price, but the experience left me uncomfortable, so I stopped going. I recently heard they are under new management, so I wanted to give them another try. I'm excited to check them out again and see how things are now. Based on my previous experiences, the coffee, pastries, and cakes have always been excellent, and I'm looking forward to enjoying them once more.

Lulu & Dino is alright but not great. I had their pistachio chocolate mousse which was good but nothing special IMHO & didn't taste super fresh (it's easy to tell with any desserts involving pistachio/any kind of nuts). Only after leaving did I also see their "B" rating as well. I'd pass on this place especially because there's no scarcity of bakeries in this area.

Came across this cute little café in the Bayside area called Lulu's and Dino. Such a nice find! I ordered a lavender matcha latte and a cheese danish, and both were delicious. The service was great, and the space has a really cozy, welcoming vibe. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it's definitely the kind of spot that's perfect for treating yourself now and then or catching up with a friend over coffee. I'll definitely be back!

Enjoying the new bakery selections! So many I've never seen before at other Korean bakeries. Really like that the variety also includes bagels, muffins and cheese danishes when I want my regular American morning breakfast or snack. Friendly service as usual and bright casual space to relax. So happy Lulu & Dino re-opened!

One of my favorite bakeries in the neighborhood! They always have such yummy treats and I love their bingsoo! We were here recently for a treat after a Valentine's Day dinner. There's a good amount of tables and the cafe is very quaint and reminiscent of a French cafe. There is parking as well, which is always a bonus! The staff is always pleasant and service is very quick. I've been coming here for a few years now and I'm always happy with the service! I recommend popping by if you're in the area and looking for a good dessert spot! (Pics are from the holiday season.)

Cute little Cafe. They have the fried tofu snack that I love! It's much smaller inside than it looks. The caffeine free vanilla latte was very good!

It was my first time visiting this establishment. They have a nice sitting area outside. When you walk in, you see a variety of breads, pastries, tea, and coffee. I decided to purchase a loaf of whole wheat bread. It was so fresh. The cashier was pleasant and asked me if I would like a beverage. The bread was put in a nice paper bag. I will definitely stop by again to purchase more bread.

We were in town for Thanksgiving and our hotel was a short walk away from this bakery. I decided to check it out and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. They had a wide variety of baked goods and breads, bagels, cakes, coffees, teas and smoothies. They also had plenty of tables for eating there, and it was quite full. I purchased the blueberry danish, the chocolate croissants and a bag of garlic bread. All three items tasted great. I would definitely return here again if staying in the area.

One of the best cafes I've been to! The drinks and desserts are so good and the decor is nice. I got the watermelon drink and it was perfect, the raspberry mousse wasn't so sweet which was great. The tiramisu latte (with oat milk) was sweet and very strong. The strawberry and banana smoothie was heavy and milky, if you like that for smoothies then it'll be perfect. We got four drinks and a dessert, total was $35. The service is what stood out the most. I came with a table of 5, there weren't any tables for us there were only window seats. One of the workers, I didn't catch her name which I regret but she was tall and had long black hair, she tried to get us a table by moving people around (two people taking up four seats). It's not common where you see workers care about their customers without expecting a tip. There are also clean bathrooms upstairs which was convenient.

    Fruit bingsu

I have tried all of their bingsu this summer. My favorite is the oreo one. Fruit is tasty if you want fruits and you got the regular bingsu. The service is great and there are indoor and outdoor seats.

    Fruit Bingsoo

My family decided to stop by Lulu & Dino because we heard that they had really good bingsoo. We decided to choose the fruit one and it was so sweet and refreshing! All of the fruit was extremely ripe and the condensed milk really brought everything together. I loved how they didn't use shaved ice, but shaved milk because it made everything taste a lot more milky and sweet. The service was great where they provided us sharing cups/utensils and took our order in a timely manner. It was completely packed when we arrived and we saw most of the people have already finished their food. Seems like they need to have a better protocol with seating time restrictions because my family had a hard time finding a seat. Other than that, their pastries, sandwiches, and desserts are pretty solid. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5

Really nice and calm atmosphere and lots of seating options. Indoor and outside! Service was excellent. Fast and efficient. Hoping to explore more of their drink selection! Definitely would recommend to a friend.

Walking in, you see green, lots of it in the form of lush plants and flowers everywhere. There is no over powering scents and the high ceilings do make the space feel open and calm. The counter to order is closer to the rear of the store and there's plenty of cafe style seating and communal seating all around. In warmer months, they put small tables and chairs outside on the sidewalk. The artisanal coffee here is what sets them apart. Bold flavor choices, robust and velvety varieties. Many options to choose from, check out the menu pics. I had the Americano and loved it. We also ordered hot food while hanging out. As they are popular for brunch, Jo and I shared the lemon curd blueberry pancakes as well as the savory salmon lox pancake. We likely over ordered but didn't mind, as we're always open to trying more dishes. The lemon curd blueberry was our favorite. I liked that there was extra lemon curd on the side and the blueberries were fresh. They were lightly dusted with powered sugar and thankfully not bathed in syrup. It was a light and satisfying dish even though it was pancakes. Didn't feel heavy at all. The ice cream was a nice touch so you could consider this as a dessert. The lox and eggs were really good as well. Those pancakes were topped with tomato, greens and avocado. Like a full meal on a plate. So glad we shared everything. I'd totally recommend a dine in experience so you can try the food once it's prepared. We both bought sandwiches to go for our family and those held up well considering it needed to be transported home. I recommend the ham and cheese croissant sandwich.

The tables are close enough and small enough to hear what your neighbors are saying to each other, imagine what they think of you? LOL I noticed speaker music was playing a bit louder then the last time I was there. The fact that patrons have to shout over each other while sharing speaker music doesn't help with the ambience of enjoying a delicious cake over an interesting conversation. I ordered something new this time, a delicious lava cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Why didn't I see that description on my check? Strange. I also visited their website online, and noticed a lot of Stock Ai made photos and videos. I even found the website hard to navigate as well because it wasn't loaded with actual cakes and up to date pricing. So quite honestly the online website wasn't helpful with what they had in the shop. * Perhaps a future improvement between tables might be an above head moveable divider which actually could provide some privacy. They are open before the crack of dawn at 6am until 1am on Friday & Saturday nights. I imagine that the ovens never cool off and the bakers are there on the overnight shift to bake plenty of cakes ready for the next day.
