I have been here like 20 times, and I always forget to leave review because I eat the little baked goods they make so quickly. But I walked in today and saw this absolutely gorgeous cupcake birthday surprise they were preparing for someone's fifth birthday that I had to take a picture. Someone was about to have a very special day. This place is wonderful, and worth the walk just past Austin Street. Food is great, people are great, and coffee is dynamite. read more

Leidylicious Cakes - Special 5th Birthday Cupcake Surprise - Cupcakes Near Me - Forest Hills, New York

Taking into account that they were open on Thanksgiving day with a wide-ranging selection of goodies, Leidylicious deserves a 5-star rating based on that alone. However, the staff were also super warm and accommodating, and the quality of the items we got (gluten free vanilla and chocolate cupcakes) was great. The actual cake bases of both types were moist and flavorful. I could've gone with a little less frosting and more cake, but it made for a very aesthetically pleasing topping with the vibrant colors, sprinkles, and glitter. I kept getting strong hints of rose flavor from the pink frosting on the chocolate cupcakes so I'm not sure if they infused it with that. Overall, a great little spot, and really a savior for procrastinators looking for sweet goodies to take to a gathering when other last-minute ideas fall through! read more

Cute little bakery with lots of cupcake, cookies, and cake options. They're very patient and friendly while you look through what you want to order. I ordered 4 cupcakes: Celebration, Rose Lychee, Choco Explosion and Cuban Love. I also ordered the Guava Cheesecake. All the cupcakes were pretty normal but I would definitely not recommend the rose lychee. I had shared all the desserts with 5 others. And when we each took a bite of the rose lychee one we all made a weird face. The frosting is definitely not what we expected and the lychee taste definitely needs to be revised. The cake part was fine. The frosting deserves like a negative 5. What was most surprising was the Guava Cheesecake. I don't typically like cheesecake of any kind but I ordered it because it was unique and sounded great. It did not disappoint! I actually really liked it! The Guava taste is nice and not too strong and the cheesecake was so smooth! If I were to come back, I'd order the guava cheesecake again and maybe avoid the cupcakes if I'm looking for something special that makes this bakery unique and stand out from other bakeries in the area. read more

This small but mighty bake shop not only serves some of the most delicious treats ranging from cupcakes to freshly baked Columbian breads and coffee but they are a force when it comes to custom cakes! I needed a dual cake for my two daughters with birthdays only 4 days apart, the theme was Hello Kitty and with each of the turning a different age I wanted to also ensure the cake felt personal to each of them. Leidylicious personalized each side for the girls based on their favorite colors, added beautiful decorative designs topped with gorgeous flowers that had edible glitter. My girls were over the moon! Not only was it beautiful but it was equal parts delicious and moist. read more

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with ordering my custom Snoopy themed cake from Leidylicious. The custom orders coordinator was so detail oriented with my vision and the result was beautiful. The cake exceeded my expectations on aesthetics and taste. My guests took more pictures of the cake than of the 1 year old birthday boy. You can send a picture of your theme and guest count to get a quote prior to ordering. I got some mini cupcakes for my brother's birthday: reasonably priced, beautiful, and delicious. I'll definitely be back!

This cute bakery is located close to the train station and easy to get to. I stopped by here to get cupcakes for a 60th birthday celebration and what better way to do it than with these absolutely gorgeous, beautifully-decorated cupcakes. Truly a masterful presentation. Love the color combos and the branding and place itself lends you happy, vibrant thoughts. Off to a great start! The hardest part was selecting our dozen cupcakes. It seems like the dozen cupcakes is a good value. Cupcakes are a good size with plenty of frosting (which I can do less of). We picked a variety of flavors including celebration, chocolate explosion, cocoloco, rose lychee, grand opening, black and white, cookies and cream, and more. Overall what I liked most about the cupcakes was the cake texture. Fresh, held together well and slightly dense. Not overly sweet unless you eat all the frosting so I look forward to trying their smaller cakes. I'm glad this place opened up because it's been hard to find a more customized bake shop with unique flavor combinations than the general mass produced bakeries. Always good to have options and always happy to support small businesses. read more

Just WOW! I moved to the neighborhood about seven months ago, and I've been saying it seriously lacked a real tres leches and flan. I also kept telling myself there's no way Martha's is the only bakery around and I'm so glad it's not, because while they're okay, Leidylicious completely surpassed my expectations. I grew up in a Latino neighborhood and really missed the sweet treats I was used to. When I stumbled across this cute little bakery, I honestly thought, "This is too good to be true." I've tried their macaroons, tres leches, flan, cupcakes, and pies and you can truly taste the care and thought they put into making everything perfect even down to their packaging. The service is also incredibly kind. I will literally walk the extra block just to grab one of their coffees (which is AMAZING) and a sweet treat. So happy I found this place! read more

Each time I watch a Hallmark movie centered around dessert and the protagonist baker talks about mixing flavor profiles while still making the treats look amazing to win the competition she's inevitably entered in, I roll my eyes because this just doesn't happen in real life. But this is it. This is how I imagined gorgeous and delicious cupcakes to look and taste in an ideal world. I won't define my cupcake eating credentials, but I haven't had cupcakes this consistently good across a variety of flavors from any baker or bakery. I've decided these are my favorite cupcakes and I've decided I must eat cupcakes regularly now because of them. read more

I've been ordering cakes from this amazing bake store for every family birthday since I found them in my neighborhood at the beginning of 2024 and also for for my children's First Communion, and they have never once disappointed us. Each time, the experience has been flawless from start to finish, and I mean it.! Once you enter the store, every detail in their decoration makes you feel inside a fairy tale. The team is absolutely wonderful: warm, professional, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They listen carefully to every request and go above and beyond to make each item you order feel special and personal. Not only that, but they are also bilingual, something that makes me and my family feel at home because I can communicate in my native language (Spanish.) The cake designs are stunning--elegant, creative, and crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Whether it's a playful birthday theme or a more refined design for a religious celebration, they have always captured the moment perfectly. For the First Communion they even made a special design for the cookies, going above and beyond our expectations. And let's talk about the flavor--truly unique and absolutely delicious. You can choose from a variety of different flavors but we are in love with their signature combination: arequipe and passionfruit blend with a citrus twist; is unforgettable. Cakes are moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet, and most of their decorations are edible. Thank you to the entire team for helping us celebrate so many special occasions with beauty and sweetness. You've become a cherished part of our family traditions, and we're so grateful for everything you do. Highly recommend to anyone looking for show-stopping cakes and five-star service! read more

Came here with my daughter and I must say we weren't disappointed. My daughter is quite found of macaroons and the ones we got were so fluffy and contained so much flavor in every bite. The Chai tea was absolutely perfect! It contained the most perfect amount of foam & flavor, it's really one to warm the soul. And finally the vanilla cupcake was superb! Each element of the cupcake was absolutely delicious and when put together was the perfect balance. The service here was fast, the prices were reasonable (especially for the size of the macaroons), and kind people who had served me (they were the owners of the spot!). I would highly recommend this place if you want a nice treat whether it's to lift for spirit or just to enjoy your self. It's so cozy here and just a very enjoyable experience in general. Not the mention a new place that recently hit three months of being open. read more

This is a new local bakery so had to check it out. We tried a chocolate-chocolate cupcake, dulce de leche mini-cheesecake and passionfruit mousse (not the official names of the items). Everything was delicious, cupcake was rich with chocolate flavor but not too sweet, cheesecake was creamy with tasty drizzle on top and passionfruit mousse had traces of real passionfruit seeds in the fruit portion. Great place to treat yourself to a freshly baked dessert any day of the week (although the price points were a bit on the high end). read more

If you like fluffy light cupcakes, this is the place! I got the peach ginger cupcake and the pistachio tres leche cake. Peach Ginger - I cant say i see too much ginger in sweets so I was initially worried that I might taste too much ginger, but it was just the perfect amount. It gave a nice kick to the peach flavor so I was delightfully surprised. The buttercream and sponge were airy to perfection. Overall not too sweet which I prefer. Pistachio Tres Leches - Pistachio usually is my favorite flavor in desserts, if they had a pistachio cupcake like the peach ginger, that would be my fav! This was really good too. The buttercream on top of the cake made it really smooth to taste. It is a bit heavier than the cupcake so I can only enjoy so much. Definitely satisfies my sweet tooth so 10/10 would come back :) read more
