I went to the forest hills location and got the same thing I ordered here and felt there was a big difference. The cupcake was okay but not as good as the forest hills location. I feel that the icing was different and that threw off the whole cupcake. The inside was cute with booths and tables. The server was nice. The hot chocolate was GREAT!

Charming little dessert spot with a cozy vibe. So many sweet temptations all around, it was hard to choose a dessert to try. I ended up getting a slice of Tiramisu and one slice of lemon meringue. Both were excellent, but the tiramisu was wonderful. You could definitely taste the coffee in it, and it was rich and decadent. They also offer coffee drinks, but given the recent brutal NYC winter cold, I wanted a hot chocolate instead, which was exactly the warm and comforting drink I needed. I would say around 4 stars.

Chocolate Fudge Cake mediocre. The cake part wasn't moist.

Cramped seating with mediocre desserts. We had the cheesecake, fudge cake, and stuffed peanut butter cookie. The best by far was the stuffed peanut butter cookie. It was served warm with lots of gooey peanut butter in the center. It was pretty good! The fudge cake was dry and stiff like it was sitting in the case for a week. The frosting was good though. My husband didn't think the cheesecake was good. I'd possibly give it another shot and order another peanut butter cookie, but won't go out my way to come again.

I usually like Martha's cuz they have cake that is not too sweet and fresh but today that did not happen. Not only does the cake taste old and dry... this is the most comically thin slice of cake I've ever gotten. It's not even wider than my thumb. For the price that you pay you would think I could get a slice that is wider than an inch and a quarter. I understand everything is going up in price but your prices have gone up too and I got old product.

Still amazing all these years later. The line is always out the door and it's because Martha's always does its job of having beautiful, fresh pastries.

I think I fell in love and her name is Martha. As a sweets connoisseur, this is a bold statement but I assure you Martha knows what tf she is doing. Let's start off with the standouts - Triple chocolate mousse: baby this is STACKED and delicious. Perfectly light and not overly sweet. Peanut butter cookie: WHOA, the chewiness is my favorite part, the peanut butter morsels add the touch. To my surprise there is peanut butter INSIDE the center. Just marvelous. I'd say it's one of my fav cookies in New York. Thank you Martha!! Would highly recommend this gem of a bakery.

Had a great time here. So many desserts to choose from at decent prices. Came here on a Saturday night and the place was so packed. Left my number and they called once our table was ready. Service was awesome, everyone had a great time!

This bakery has got it going on! I am not a fan of bread pudding but they've managed to win me over with theirs. This dessert is very moist with a nice spongy factor and it's not sickeningly sweet! The vanilla and cinnamon flavor really shines through. The bakery offers generous sizes. There are so many amazing treats behind those glass encasings. You will literally want one of everything! I'll return to try the tres leche!

Really cute little spot to grab a sweet baked good. I highly recommend their large selection of cakes (specifically the cheesecakes). Can't go wrong. To be wary, though. On holiday weekends or special occasions, it might be really packed and hectic in this tiny shop.

By far one of the best bakeries I've been to. Any pastry or baked good you can think of, they have it. Everything is freshly made and you can taste the amazing quality in each bite. I've been to a couple locations now and they've all been consistently delectable. The options are a bit overwhelmingly, you just want one of everything really. Everything is decently priced. It's a cute lively bakery that can get busy, but they have a lot of people working so you can usually grab what you want fairly quick. After lunch down the street, we decided to pick up some dessert and a hot beverage to go. This bakery is really good for that. We decided on a piece of Black Forest Cake and a Blueberry Key Lime Cheesecake bar with Matcha Lattes. Everything was heavenly and really hit the "sweet" spot!! Don't sleep on this bakery, your tastebuds will thank you!

Martha's Bakery is always a hit! Whether you go early or later in the day they are always busy. I have been here multiple times and love it. Last night I got their classic strawberry cheesecake , a berry Napoleon cake and a large chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream on top (don't forget to ask for the cookie to be warmed up ). The cheesecake was a solid 8 rating, the chocolate chip cookie was also an 8 as well but the Napoleon cake was a 10! Yum yum yum , everything was great. My mom got the cappuccino and it was great too. If you're coming here by car, pro tip: have someone from your party get out and give their name to join the wait list while you park. Parking isn't always the easiest at this location and yes this place will be packed, you'll need to wait, but it's worth it!

I ordered the Oreo cake here. It was moist and sweet! The cake layers weren't dry this time!ive had cakes before where they were a bit dry but not this time! Minus one star because the inscription was smudged! It's okay though it wasn't such a huge deal because they don't charge to inscribe happy birthday. The pick up went smoothly but the hostess seemed to be confused as to where I should pick up my online order. But the worker behind the counter politely showed me that it was ready by the hostess. Overall I would visit again but not during peak hours because this place gets packed!!

I love the staff, how welcoming they are. The fresh pastries every time I come by. Arguably one of the top Martha's locations by far especially with their Greek frappe! The best part is you can sit outdoor or in doors too! The one thing I especially enjoy from this bakery is their mix fruit tart with the strawberries and a pot of hot earl grey tea :)

Which cakes or items are gelatin free? Or free of animal fat/lard

Hi Zee! Any of our cakes that don’t have mousse are gelatin free. As well as our pies. To name a few, strawberry shortcake, carrot cake, red velvet cake, fudge cake are 100% gelatin free.

Do they offer delivery? The store in Brooklyn offers delivery and I'd like to order something without having to go outside due to Covid-19.

Hello. Unfortunately Astoria is not delivering just yet. We are currently working on setting up a delivery service.

Any gluten free options?

Yes

Are any of the cheesecakes gluten free? Or can any cakes be made gluten free?

Hello. We do have a line of vegan cakes that are as well gluten free and we do have a vegan/gluten free strawberry cheesecake.

Anything for the vegan people?

Yes they have really good vegan strawberry cheesecake, vegan chocolate cake, vegan carrot cake, and vegan brownies! I love the cheesecake!

Do they offer gift certificates?

I believe they have gift cards

The sauce that was served was absolutely delicious with the signature tanginess and sweetness of Thai food. The hot pot that I ordered was also enjoyed to the fullest! The food here was super good but also I love liver so I was glad they had a hot pot option that included that! After a delicious meal, we finished off with the mango bingsu which also was a huge hit! The bingsu was super fluffy and light! This meal was definitely worth it and didn't leave me feeling super heavy. The service was also great even though they were always full house with some parties waiting and only one person serving. I will be back next time to try their Thai barbecue which I saw people having and I could stop looking at! On top of all this, the server or manager even gave me a free Melona ice cream which I paired with the bingsoo after he saw that I was pregnant which I thought was super sweet. I don't live too far from here so I also want to add that even though I have not added a review, I always go to this restaurant to grab a coconut Thai milk tea to go (I am not even a huge Thai tea fan)! For some reason, I love the coconut thai tea from here and always find myself craving it.

The atmosphere is indeed cozy with quaint outdoor seating as well. Unfortunately, I gave their iced matcha latte two tries, on two separate days. Sadly, their version of an iced matcha latte is watery and lacks the matcha flavor, despite being green. It just tastes like milk. It takes a lot of flavored syrup to make this drink taste better, and syrupy drinks aren't good. The first time I had it, I was surprised to be chewing on ginger pieces that were floating in the bottom of my drink. Luckily, I like ginger and, more importantly, I'm not allergic. I passed it off as maybe their unique twist on a matcha latte. When I went back for a second try, I asked them to not put ginger in the drink, to which I was told ginger should have never been in the drink and the whisk they used was likely not fully cleaned from a drink that contains ginger. Uhh, gross! And not a good practice for a restaurant serving the public. I forgave the first mistake and ordered another iced matcha latte with lavender. I get back to my family's house, take a sip, and notice they omitted the lavender. Had to walk back to get it corrected. The young lady taking orders was very apologetic and swift in correcting it. However, her colleague wearing a bandana on her hair was not as kind and seemed to be irritated at my kind request it be fixed. Both of my experiences have been off putting and I simply will not be back! Thank goodness the neighborhood has alternatives like Over The Moon and Qahwah Valley. Espresso 77 would benefit from improved quality of their products, cleanliness, and customer service.
