I feel bad to write this review because I want to support a woman owned small business but...I wish I had not ordered my birthday cake from here. I was initially lured in by the good Yelp reviews. I liked that I could do everything online, I had a particular vision for what I wanted my birthday cake to look like and they communicated with me via email that could make my vision come true. I had a birthday celebration at a restaurant, which I asked The Evercake to have delivered directly to the restaurant. The delivery was smooth and the restaurant had the cake before I even got there. The cake was very cute and did look like what I had pictured. But...what I majorly disliked was the actual taste of the cake and being misled about what the contents of the cake would be. I selected the strawberry shortcake option for my cake and what I got was not what I thought it would be. I think it's quite normal for a strawberry shortcake to have like...real strawberries in between the layers. My cake didn't really have that, and if it did it was hidden in all the strawberry jam that there instead. I was not a fan of the cake texture too and the cream outside of the cake. Overall I felt so sad that I was feeding this to my friends and I told them that they didn't have to finish it because I wasn't going to either. So embarrassing :( Would you believe that this flop of a cake was nearly $200? And that's after the 10% coupon. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because it wasn't completely bad, but the cake not tasting good was the biggest thing for me. I would have preferred it the other way around at least, like if the service was so bad but the cake tasted amazing, but unfortunately that was not the case for me. I happened upon this business with a quick google search, took a chance and was not disappointed. I'm from the West Coast, so I had to depend on them to design, create and deliver my cake for a dinner party sight unseen. Needless to say, I was a bit nervous. The cake turned out beautifully. I was looking for a dual-themed cake and gave a vague description of what I wanted. There was some hesitation in that I felt if I didn't select top tier pricing, I wasn't sure what I'd get, but I was not disappointed in the final creation. The Evercake is a woman owned online cake company. I thought I reviewed this business before but I guess not. To me these cakes are very reasonably priced for what you get. Buttercream cake is the way to go for a special occasion of any kind. If you go to their website you can find the photos with the prices and even more information. They have classes and party planning as well. The Evercake flavors are strawberry shortcake, blue velvet, chocolate cake with fudge, vanilla cake with french cream and raspberry, dark chocolate cake with whipped hazelnut, combination cake with dulce de leche, whipped lemon, or vanilla cake with custard and raspberries. The cakes sizes are as follows. 7" cake serves 10-12 guests,  10" cake serves 20-25, guests! That's plenty of choices for me. I'm recommending! read more

This was my first time ordering with this company and it will be my last. I was shocked by the lack of customer service and unwillingness to correct mistakes. 1. 3 weeks in advance I ordered a cake and requested chocolate frosting. This was confirmed via email 3x and even included photos on what I had in mind. I received a cake with white frosting. 2. I paid $8.75 for a "Happy Birthday sign" but it was not included in the order I received. 3. I paid $24 for two numbered "sparkler" candles but the numbers I received were decoration only and were not even candles. I notified the Evercake via email and text at 11:19am, shortly after having received the order and requested the above items be corrected by 3pm that day. They first were defensive and said that what was delivered is what I ordered. After I forwarded the email chain for reference, they advised they could not make any deliveries or corrections but would issue a partial refund. As there was still about 4 hours in the day available in which they could have brought the correct items, I pushed back and requested the issue be reviewed again. They did not respond and instead a few days later I received a partial refund. The lack of accountability, concern and willingness to correct a problem was appalling. On the candles and Happy Birthday Sign, I could have easily ordered for less than $10 on amazon these items myself, but I trusted this vendor to deliver what I ordered all in one package. Trusting them to deliver on a very special day was a mistake. On top of that, the $98 cake's flavor and taste was very average. I have had much better tasting cakes from other bakeries such as Mia's Brooklyn Bakery and Angelina's Italian Bakery for nearly half the cost. I do not recommend the Evercake based on this experience. read more

I got the 10'' Evercake Special in Pink Champagne and chose the Combination Dulce de Leche combination which had layers of chocolate and dulce de leche. Turned out to be the most delicious thing during the party and everyone either complimented, thanked, or ask where I got it from, to which I happily mentioned The Evercake. Consider me your new (free) endorser! The only minimal regret I have is that I wish I was told about the 10% Yelp offer as their cake is definitely not cheap at $125 (but hey you get what you pay for, right?) + it's a baby girl signage at $8.75 + $42 delivery fee to Brooklyn. I sent Evercake an admittedly very last minute request on an early Friday AM inquiring about a cake delivery for Saturday AM in Brooklyn. I got a lovely and fast reply saying yes, this is possible, and asking me to reply with my desired cake style and the "latest the cake can be delivered" -- and was told they would shoot over a cc auth to get the order going upon receiving my confirmation. I responded immediately confirming and then... never heard back. I followed up throughout the day and finally heard right before close that my "address was too far" so the order wasn't accepted. One problem there: I never gave anyone my address, just the neighborhood in Brooklyn (PLG). It's totally fine to not deliver to this part of Brooklyn (though the website just specifies that BK comes with a bigger delivery fee, not that it's out of bounds)... but why not just shoot me an email back letting me know that it wasn't possible? Super disappointed in the cake. I ordered a cake for my boyfriends 27th birthday in April around a month in advance. It was a custom cake that was supposed to be The Weeknd themed with a logo and my boyfriends name on the cake. The day the cake arrived, I opened the box to double check and the logo looked like it was drawn on last minute (I even included several sample pictures for reference) and they had put the wrong name on the cake. My boyfriends name is Austin not Jack. I was extremely disappointed as I had reiterated several times through email confirming my boyfriends name is Austin and even went so far as to bold his name multiple times in our email exchanges. The logo was even more disappointing. I had paid an extra $15 just to have the logo put on only to have to scrape it off because it didn't look anything like the reference picture. I ended up having to scrape off both the incorrect name and the logo because it just looked so bad. In regards to the actual cake, I went with the chocolate flavor and everything looked nice on the outside, but the cake was dry and overly sweet. No one at the party was a fan of the taste. Most of the cake went untouched because it was way too sweet and it was incredibly embarrassing and disappointing because I had a lot of high hopes based on how it looked on the outside.
