It's one of the nicest Astoria bakeries I have been to in a while. I ordered a spinach pie, which I asked to be heated. It was delicious when it came out hot and crusty. The bakery has a family and homely feel to the bakery even though there are few seats. It is too bad I could not come back for the breakfast specials They are a must if you are on the eastern side of Ditmars Boulevard

Fresh cupcakes so many to choose from!

So happy they redesigned this bakery it looks so beautiful and clean inside. I have lived in astoria almost 10 years and it was until recently that I started coming here. The staff is really nice and the desserts are delicious! I love there pumpkin spice iced latte, cookies, ham croissant. I recently picked up an apple pie to bring to a friend's BBQ everyone raved about how good it was. It wasn't overly sweet which we all enjoyed ! I also just picked up the truffles and some mini cupcakes for my bday party they too were a huge hit!

Cute bakery with a gourmet coffee bar. Nothing crazy special about it but the service is fantastic, treats are good, prices are decent. I picked up a box of cookies for a party and it's $20/lb. To my surprise, 1lb is A LOT. The box was full before I hit $20!

I will start with the good: almond croissant is delicious and they have good bread. The not so good: cappuccino was weak. I tried giving it another try by asking for an additional shot and it just made it bitter but no real coffee/espresso flavor. They should consider changing their brand. My teen daughter who is obsessed with cupcakes and sweets said theirs weren't palatable because they were too sweet! After taking a bite of the cupcake I had to agree! Why?! Lastly, I just tried a selection of their mini tarts/desserts yesterday, courtesy of a friend who picked some up for me .... lovely presentation... unfortunately can't say the same about the taste ... I tried the mini lemon meringue tart and tasted super eggy! Think I'll just stick to their almond croissants and.breads :/

This is a great little bakery and Café located on Dipmar's Boulevard corner of 45th St. It's been a business since 1964 and provides a wide variety of bake goods including cakes and cookies along with pastries. They have an amazing assortment of croissants and other bakery goods for breakfast. Give the Apple tart a try as well as the mozzarella and tomato croissant. Both were delightful; they make great coffee too, so if you're in Astoria, give this place a try.

I got our wedding cake from here and it was beautiful. We came about a month before the big day and got to taste different flavors and finally decided on what we wanted. The girl who was helping us was super helpful and nice. We went through many pictures to decide what design we would like, after using some of their ideas and ours we came out with the perfect design for us. Our cake look great the day of the wedding.

This is how they gave my my order, my ignorance for not opening and seeing my custom order! What an embarrassment

Saw this cute store on my way to therapy, stopped and made an order for custom cake with my company's logo and 12 cupcakes (blue/orange) for an event I was hosting as I am an event coordinator at LaGuardia airport. What an embarrassment, ax I opened to see my order, unfinished cupcakes (no frosting), cake was not near the picture I provided her. Paid $108. called and not even an apology also stating that this was brought to them, meaning they do not bake or make Custom cakes. This is what I got for not going to Martha's Country Bakery!! Please read reviews before buying, never again!

As I was walking from my storage unit I noticed this beautiful decorated bakery. I went in and decided to check it out. Antonia was so pleasant. She gave me a warm welcome and didnt care if I was just looking. Her great personality and sweet eyes convinced me to support this beautiful bakery. Mind you everything looks fresh, sterile and aesthetics pleasing. I wish the best success to this bakery as they opened during the pandemic. Please check them out. You won't be disappointed. I ordered a few raspberry filled cookies the first time. Today, I ordered a Freddo Espresso and a sweet tart. Everything was delicious. Thanks again Antonia! Also I have to give a shout out to Vince . The complimentary strawberry lemonade was just what I needed for this warm summer day! Thanks for the good vibes too.

Nice to see some places opening up during this time! Checked this place out twice so far. Though I am trying to cut down on sweets, some days you just need a fix! I tried a mini Tiramisu, which was very good. The second time I went in was after I saw they had frozen hot chocolate on their Instagram! Will definitely come back to try their other drink options (this girl needs to be constantly caffeinated!)

Peach iced tea with real peaches! And a mango raspberry tart!

Stopped by the second day of their reopen. The staff are great! The service is fast! And the pastries are quality! It reminds me of a little European café. I hope that they have outdoor seating as the weather gets warmer and COVID passes. This is my new go to café. Plus they are right by the Q69 buss syop

Assortment of butter cookies by the lb. that's $20.

Really great cookies. I'm addicted. Their rainbow cookies with jam and with cannoli cream are fantastic. I usually dislike cannoli cream but this was well done. Counter person was also really sweet. I will be coming back for more cookies. My toddler son ate all of his sugar cookie which was gifted by the bakery. Toddler approved so I'm all for them!

The Portuguese egg tart is what you would expect from one of these bakery's, very basic but it was nice and flaky. The milk tea was also okay, we asked for less sugar so it was not too sweet. We also got the sesame mochi to go and this was delicious! Definitely the best thing I bought from this bakery. The sesame paste was nice and strong but not too gritty and the mochi was super soft. We came by the day before Mother's Day, so they had pre decorated Mother's Day cakes. You can also place an order. Service is quick and friendly. We initially planned on getting a Strawberry Shortcake, as that seemed to be the cake to get. However, we opted for the Cheesecake, because we were able to add fresh strawberries (and whipped cream) on top! I'm not a fan of whipped cream, so I avoided that, but everyone seemed to enjoy. It had a good creamy texture and was not too sweet. The strawberries were indeed fresh. The pound cake was soft and airy. The vanilla flavor comes through. A friend recommended it to me, and I've already ordered two birthday cakes from here. The tiramisu cake was absolutely delicious, honestly one of the best I've ever had. I didn't even know you could customize a tiramisu cake since it's usually served the traditional way, but they made it exactly how I wanted. As someone who loves tiramisu, this really stood out. I also ordered a strawberry shortcake, and it was just as impressive. The buttercream was so good , light, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Everyone loved it, and there wasn't a single slice left. The owner's son (I believe) was super helpful, he really takes the time to understand what you want and brings it to life perfectly. I've also tried their croissants, which are huge and delicious, and the hero bread is excellent too. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash.I'll definitely be ordering all my cakes from here moving forward!

Their hot milk tea is a cozy, comforting drink that warms the soul. Fay Da's milk tea may still hold the title for my favorite, but Yi Mei's version is a very close contender. The sponge cake? A pleasant surprise. Despite some folks claiming the bread isn't fresh, I've never really had a negative experience with them. But then again, I only get the sponge cake and I can't differentiate fresh vs not fresh between them (I'll just assume that if it's NOT fresh, I would have been able to tell). For ethnic places like Yi Mei, I don't put much weight on service standards. Comparing them to American restaurants would be like comparing apples to oranges. What truly matters is the authenticity and the food quality, and Yi Mei nails both. So, if you find yourself in the area with a rumbling stomach, swing by Yi Mei Bakery.
