I love this spot overall. This is the closest coffee shop to me in upper Astoria with great vibes and adorable decor. It's super Instagrammable, I love the seats situated within the heart and all of the flowers and greenery in this place. There are a few limited food options, but overall this is a cafe that also serves beer and wine (and the occasional frose, yay). Almost all of the times I've been in here (save for this last time) service is fast and friendly - but on my last visit the guy seemed like he was struggling to get orders out and keep the line moving. There were two folks ahead of me and the first one had multiple orders, so I figured there'd be a bit of a wait. Around 15 minutes later or so it was my turn to order, and I asked about the teas. The iced options were either sweetened with caffeine, or unsweetened without caffeine - I'd been hoping for something iced and unsweetened. When I asked about green tea he said he had none made, but didn't offer making it for me as an option. We awkwardly stood there for a few moments more as I waited to see if he might say this was something he could do. Eventually I cut my losses and said thanks anyway. read more

Quaint and cozy! I spent a solid two hours here reading and enjoying a Matcha Latte, which was great! The decor is beautiful with a rich purple and teal theme. There is a back garden room plus outdoor seating for nice days. I observed a lot of regulars come through even though there was ample indoor seating. I also appreciated the staff being attentive to vacant tables and wiping them down after patrons left. They have sandwiches and pastries and they also started serving alcohol with their later hours. It's beautiful in this cafe! Tin plated ceilings and pastel pink walls and art on the back wall. It's really cute and great for photos! I love the adorable tea cups and saucers. The staff were welcoming as well. There's a seat with a metal heart which wall of roses which is lovely! I also noticed a sun room in the back with a window exposing more sunlight inside. I have yet to sit back there, but I imagine that it's nice to go here on a date or to get some reading done. read more

Tried this place a few times, it's really cute inside. Prices are okay.. I ordered a turkey & cheese sandwich (around $9 after tax) drink selections are very LIMITED I wasn't in a mood for a coffee and the drinks they have in their drink cooler was small (4 options of bottled drinks)... brought my own drink (non alcoholic) and was told by staff that it wasn't allowed... I've never visited any establishment that wasn't accommodating for PAYING customers... not sure I'll return after that. Such a cute place with a lot of character! I'm surprised it's not packed with people 24/7. The atmosphere is quite instagrammable and has super comfy couches. The music was enjoyable and they have books to read on the coffee tables. I tried the ube latte which was a tad more bitter than I expected, but was tasty, unique, and definitely picturesque. I came here for the famed 'gold' latte and ended up hanging out longer than planned. The place is cozy and inviting with plenty of seating on couches with pillows. Venture to the back which is set up like a mini garden. A greenery filled wall, white metal tables & chairs, and a little waterfall all make for a nice setup to enjoy coffee & conversations. I met the owner Mr. Renis, and he was really nice. He gave me a baklava as my bday treat while I stopped by for the latte. Seems like many regulars come here! The gold latte is $30. Strong cappuccino coffee and then a thin layer of 24k gold is added on top. (This is why it costs so much.) Use the gold spoon it comes with to mix in the gold and enjoy! I didn't really taste anything different, but the coffee was good. Overall with tax/tip it was close to $37. Yea it's pricey, but a unique experience. The Iced Purple Ube Latte was unique, creamy, and had good mix of ube and coffee flavor. The cafe itself is so cute and pretty!! There's multiple seating to choose from & they provide wifi. I will be reviewing the beverages however; it's not for everyone. The I ordered a tea (something passionfruit) and it was a tad off, I couldn't really taste the passionfruit or pineapple. I tried this place once again with a friend; she ordered the ube latte w espresso and I ordered the matcha latte with oat. I personally couldn't down the ube latte; it didn't really taste like ube; like it was missing something for sure. Getting a good matcha latte is a hard find especially in cafes nowadays. This one was okay, not awful but it could definitely be better! Maybe adding in a few more scoops in before whisking the matcha and it'll be good! Café Renis is an adorable little coffee shop that recently opened this past weekend. Their menu is simple; they sell crafted coffee drinks (hot and cold), sandwiches (tuna, ham & cheese) and a few baked goods items (croissants, macarons, cookies, and cake). The décor is very cute and makes the café really stand out from all the other shops on this block. There are comfy benches, lounge chairs and plenty of Instagram worthy spots inside. They have an outdoor seating area in the front of the café and there is also a small sunroom in the back. Staff is very friendly, and prices are on the higher end. I got an almond croissant ($4.00), yogurt parfait ($6.50) and a frappe ($5.00). The cold frappe was great and really hit the spot on this hot day. I come here often for an espresso, which is perfect every time. I tried the apple crumble, which was absolutely delicious. I love a pastry that's packed with flavor and is not too sweet. Wow! What a cozy, nice place in Astoria. The Iced Coffee and Waffle ran me $13 and left me incredibly satisfied and full. Even better than the food is the atmosphere! The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the design is incredibly cute. They even have a very cute area with heart chairs and flowers; however, as I came alone, the awkwardness of sitting there by myself stopped me from sitting there. Cant believe this place has been open for six months already and I haven't been here until now! My friend and I loved the aesthetics, the customer service, and the unique selection of drinks available here. She came to Astoria all the way from Valley Stream and loved it here. There's a beautiful sunroom in the back with multiple outlets to use, a floral backdrop to take pictures with, and varied types of seating for different groups. We tried the purple UBE latte and iced caramel latte. Both were great! The UBE latte was not very sweet, but we were told about that before ordering and we just added some vanilla extract to make it sweeter. The caramel latte was perfect. This adorable Coffee Shop is a photoshoot heaven! I thought it was smaller from the outside and then when I walked in there was so much space to hang around and do work. Indeed, the owner has given the coffee shop a unique feel, kind of like being in the 1920s. There is a mini water fountain and decorative chairs and poofs at the back of the coffee shop, and cute wallpaper reflecting another era, perhaps the 1920s.. At the front, there are lounge seats There were no temperature or vaccine checks when I arrived, but there was outdoor seating.
