Duck Noodle Soup

For a mere $7 - the small serving of Duck Noodle Soup was so satisfying. The broth was rich and flavorful. There was an ample amount of duck, a few meaty mushrooms and a tangle of toothsome noodles. Lisa R. Had the Thai Tea Shaved Ice, an immense mountain of delicate flakes, served with condensed mil, sweet bread cubes and boba. Refreshing

This is a cozy hole in the wall spot for amazing Thai food! The staff are really nice and the food is authentic. The bbq is perfect of small groups - you grill the meat on the top dome and the meat juices will fall into the soup that is around the rim. By the middle of the meal, the soup is so delicious!! We all could not stop drinking it. Also, there is a savory, slightly spicy sauce that pairs perfectly with the bbq meats. Mookata is super popular in Thailand so happy to find it in NY! A must order is the pandan toast - the milk bread is warm and soft and light. When dipped in the pandan sauce, the combo is just heavenly! Their appetizers are worth trying too! We tried the fish balls, chive cakes, and the E-San sausage. All of them were delicious and came with different sauces. The fan favorites were the chive cakes and the sausage! I tried the Ovaltine volcano for the drink and it was a chocolatey, decadent slush. I will definitely be coming back if I am in the area again!!

Limiting this review and rating to be for their desserts only, as we have not yet had a chance to try their other food. Stopped by for some quick dessert with my boyfriend's family after dinner nearby. The small cafe is unassuming from the outside, but screams authenticity as soon as you step in. The outdoor seating area is plastered with different menu items written in Thai (some with English translations, some without). It's the definition of no frills, but in a way that seems to promise you that the food will be absolutely delicious. I definitely want to come back to try their other food! As for dessert, my boyfriend and I split a condensed milk toast and thai iced tea. You really can't go wrong with condensed milk, sugar, and toast, so as expected, it was delicious. The price point for it though, was a tad bit pricey for what it is. Thai iced tea was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Our waitress was incredibly kind and patient with our large party. Service was quick & efficient!

Cute space though I think it's more pleasant to go at night during the summer when it's cooler since it's open air and no AC even on the inside cuz they don't have a closed space. There is a 10 dollar per min per person if you eat in but I think it's reasonable esp during busy times when people drink or have desserts. I didn't ask them though if they would enforce it when there was no one there during the afternoon but my friends and I wanted to try a few things anyway. This is only for drinks/desserts- it was too hot to order their bbq or hot pot given the weather. The drinks were very good- milo brown sugar drink was excellent. Not too sweet and the boba wasn't round but firmer pieces of grass jelly that you can chew- pretty good and refreshing. The cappuccinos Oreo slush was super strong and good for coffee drinkers. The olvatine drink was tasty and malty. The only disappointment was the Thai rooty tooty- I felt like the Thai tea wasn't coming through and just tasted like vanilla with no real tea flavor to it. This place is cute to come for snacks. Will be back again.

Came here on a Friday afternoon and were seated right away. The space is pretty small and made the place feel extremely cozy and warm. There was one other person sitting at a booth nearby so we weren't the only ones in the place while there were several individuals who came through to grab takeout as well. We came here for lunch so didn't share any of their desserts, but I'd be curious to try those if I ever came by again. I got a fish dish and it was super tasty - crispy, well-flavored, and a large enough portion for one person for sure. I would definitely get it again! I think the service was good, not the most attentive, but we got our food quickly and our order was taken pretty fast. Overall, I would say this was a good lunch spot for someone not looking to linger too long - definitely a get your food, eat, and leave immediately kind of vibe. A great meal nonetheless at a good price!

Pandan Toast $8

*DESSERT REVIEW ONLY* - only dropped by to have some desserts. The place is super small and one of those no frill places... not the type of spot with any kind of ambiance where you would go on a first date, etc. just your local, LOCAL Thai spot kind of vibe. Tables aren't necessarily clean and the menus are sticky....but I was only grabbing dessert so I didn't care too much. Pandan Custard Toast $8 (4.5/5) - 3 sets of small pieces of toast with spread butter/custard and a side of pandan-custard mix dip. Pretty good but rather expensive for an appetizer. Thai Rooty Tooty $12 (3/5) - Just thai shaved ice with corn flakes, condensed milk and pieces of bread. Honestly nothing outstanding with this dessert and I was rather disappointed coming all this way for it. Compared to all the dessert shops offering different toppings and additions into their shaved ice, I don't think I can go back to a shaved ice like this. Flavor is OK but I would not get this again. Staff was very friendly. Cash only.

Some of the best food I've had in queens. I don't give 10/10 reviews so easily but everything tasted 10/10. The fish Tom yum soup (requested fish broth) was one of the best soups I've ever had. I wish I took a picture of it but I ate it right away. The spice level was perfect for someone who loves a good kick. The flavors were solid and tasted more on the authentic side compared to other Thai places I've tried. It was the perfect balance of savory, sweet, sour, and spicy. The fish tasted fresh in this dish as well as the fishcakes I got. And finally, the pandan toast was so so good we had to get another order of it. The price point made everything just better as well. A small bowl of soup was only $7 dollars and a large was $10. I loved that they gave the sizing options, making it more convenient and affordable for anyone eating on a budget. This place is definitely a favorite and must try! I will be coming back often for that Tom yum noodle soup and the pandan toast.

I had the beef hotpot last time. The hotpot was nice, portion is big. Worthy to try!

This place is such a cute, neighborhood gem. It actually reminds me of some of the hole-in-the-wall places I experienced in Bangkok. The food has a home cooked feel--really flavorful and comforting. My husband and I shared a salad, wings, and the pork BBQ set, which was a LOT of food. The staff members were really sweet and kept checking on us throughout the meal. We will definitely be back soon.

A lovely, friendly low key Thai restaurant with absolutely delicious food. We shared the spicy wings, amazing pork ham spicy salad and pork bbq that you grill at your table with egg, veggies and glass noodles. Worth every penny. The whole bill was 54$ and we at very good.

Went to Elmhurst with a large group of friends and we split two large orders of Thai bbq chicken and beef, as well as a cold ramen salad that had the same flavors of a papaya salad. Portions were generous and the food was fantastic; the broth that the waiter poured over the hot pot was very savory. Eating here was so much fun.

Top to bottom - Tom Yum Noodle Soup, Nam Tok Noodle

Cozy and homey Thai cafe serving Thai comfort food and a variety of drinks. The price point here is extremely affordable. The staff here were friendly and attentive. We've been here a few times and have tried most of their menu items. We had the tom yum noodle soup (4.5/5), it was absolutely amazing. The broth was rejuvenating and soothing. The medley of ingredients work together to provide different textures and flavors. The beef nam tok noodles (4.5/5) was good. The broth was herby and rich. The noodles cooked to perfection. The chicharron, beef offal, and meatballs were great. The Thai chicken wings (3.5/5) were mediocre. The larb pork (3/5) was too briny and spicy, they did not even mention a spice level. The beef meatballs (2/5) were too dry and bland. The beef ramen (2/5) had overcooked noodles and it broth lacks flavor, it tasted artificial. The drinks here are great as well--we had the Ovaltine volcano, Oreo milkshake, yakult slushy, cappuccino slushy.

Love this little hidden gem in my neighborhood of queens. I go there every once a while since I live not too far from there. The most recent time I went I got the little hotpot they have on their menu and chive cake. Chive cake was beyond delicious . The hotpot was great too . I had an amazing meal and would definitely go back again in the near future !

If you're new to Kung Fu Tea, you can expect many different options when ordering boba! Slushies, teas, milk teas - there's something for everyone. What my husband and I both love about Kung Fu Tea is that they have LOTS of topping options! Traditional boba, jellies, popping bobas - many different flavors of each type. This makes customizing your drink so much more fun! Also, please note that this is NOT a hangout-type spot. They literally have one table in here so it's best to just grab your drink and go.

I ordered three different milk teas -- the Regular Pistachio Milk Tea, Roasted Chestnut Milk Tea, and Rosehip Milk Tea -- and every one of them hit the spot. The Pistachio Milk Tea was rich, nutty, and creamy -- definitely a standout! Even better, I got it for free thanks to a promo for orders over $15. Who doesn't love a good deal AND a great drink? The Roasted Chestnut Milk Tea had a warm, toasty flavor and was perfectly balanced with light sweetness and less ice. The Rosehip Milk Tea was floral, smooth, and comforting, with just the right level of sweetness. All the drinks came exactly as ordered, with boba and customized sugar/ice levels. Prices were reasonable, and the $6.90 discount on top of that was a sweet bonus. Even after tax, the total came to just $16.39 -- an absolute win. Highly recommend Kung Fu Tea for consistent quality, great flavor options, and awesome promos. Will definitely be back!

The fruit-based drinks are mainly made from fresh/real (not frozen) fruits. The vibrant colors of their drinks in pics/videos via different social media platforms are getting more and more viral by the day. Ambiance: Not much but just a storefront + 2 small tables/chairs along with a bench. Restroom: None, you're out of luck! Service: Fast & attentive staff all the time even during their busiest hours. Everyone was just so genuine and friendly to be around. Came here to the Astoria location during their 11th year anniversary promotion yesterday. First 100 customers in line would receive a limited-edition sippy glass tumbler with attached boba straw & removable lid cover with his/her in-store purchase. They accept both cash and debit/credit card. The line was effectively managed with no line cutters, no arguing, and nothing crazy going on. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience. Lots of people have still showed up despite the really cold weather & down-pouring. Nothing gonna stop me from getting the cute glassware. Store opened and promotion started at 12:05pm. Everyone just ordered one by one towards the front when it was his/her turn. The Vietnamese Cloud Coffee was $7.52 (after tax). Hot/iced + medium/large drinks have different set of prices btw. Staff then handed me the glassware & a free sampler bowl of their soon-to-launch either lemongrass chicken/pork rice bowl after accepting payment. Portion was definitely more on the generous side to say the least. Devoured the sampler bowl in 15 mins because I was hungry & aside from keeping the rain not getting into the food. Flavorful lemongrass chicken + appetizing pickled carrot + fresh, crunchy sliced cucumber laid on a blanket of fluffy white rice. All the ingredients went well together. This is something I would definitely buy for lunch/dinner if this item ever gets added to the menu in the future. I ordered a hot Vietnamese Cloud Coffee, a new drink on the menu. My first time actually ordering a hot drink from Tea & Milk. Usually go for the iced drinks but I was feeling quite cold. So, I needed something hot to hold in my hands. Vietnamese Cloud Coffee - Cà Phê Trứng (Egg Coffee) is made with egg yolks + Vietnamese coffee powder. Lastly, it's lightly sweetened with condensed milk to give off an all-around creamy texture and taste similar to tiramisu. Something created with such simple ingredients yet could feel so soothing at the same time. A hot coffee-based drink on a cold, rainy day is like a snuggly hug. Staff called out your name when it was ready for pickup. Love starting my day off with the strong flavor of Vietnamese coffee! By far, this might actually be the best tasting Vietnamese coffee I have had in all my years. And, I'm usually not a coffee person either. Didn't taste watered down and/or heavily sweetened at all. Everything's just right. Definitely would be going back next time for other coffee/fruit tea drinks.
