Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea / Milk

Great service and also the barista Amy is very friendly and easy to communicate with. We always got the brown sugar bubble milk tea 30%sugar is so good . . . We go here 2 or 3 times a week .

Cute little hole in the wall goodness. Strawberry milk tea is my absolute fav generally speaking but the brown sugar boba has become my second fav. They have a rewards program which is sweet if you live in the neighborhood. I personally like my boba teas with a low amount of boba and the boba itself here is the best I've had. However flavor-wise not the best overall I've had, but still quite good. Overall, cute spot, and I'm hype to come back once again! Tips: -No bathroom -No seating area

All I can report back is that the workers at this place needs better customer service skills. I guess that's why it is mostly automated. You would pay with card here and not with cash so just be aware. There are signs for that too. I saw a stamp card there - where if you drink enough you'll get rewards. The drink I ordered was the Taro Bubble Milk Tea / medium size. I asked it to be light sugar and no ice. I should've asked for some ice as it needed more water. The tea ended up bulking up and clumping altogether at the end and it made my bubbles all weird. Wasn't a fan of that, but you live and you learn. All in all, I guess I'll visit again when I'm in the mood.

The place is small. It's not meant to sit around and do your work but for you to get in and out quickly. They offer a machine to order and I hope the people behind the counter are not robots because I'm here typing with my fingers. Dasha helped me with my order. I got a grande latte with bubble tea! I'm glad they opened a bubble tea cafe in the neighborhood. I happened to pass, and whoa, bubble tea's calling me! Excellent tea with the bubble. Excellent bubble in tea. It's like any bubble tea almost everywhere I tried. To describe my drink, it's bubbly just like me! Sweet that I may not have daily, perfect if you want it to be! I finished the bubble before the tea. I'm all set here.

I think this is the first official bubble tea place in sunny side? Regardless, it's in a great location, and moge tee has always had great bubble teas! The employees are friendly and the service is quick. Usually, there's a line but when I went it was empty which was great for us! You place the order on the tablet, which can be a bit time consuming because you have so many options, but it's cool.

A bubble tea opened at Sunnyside. There are no seats in this location, more of an order and to go place. There are 2 ways to order: 1) self service machines (2): 1 is in the corner, 1 is on the counter. Pay using a debit or credit card. After your order, there is an order #. You will receive a notification if you enter a phone number that you order is ready. 2) order with employee: pay with cash and you will receive your order number. Listen to your order number. My first order was brown sugar milk tea without bubbles. My second order was Hong Kong milk tea without boba bubbles. It came with boba. Oh well, guess it was a habit to add boba. Boba was soft and chewable which is how I like it. There is also a wall of flowers and logo that is more for Instagram. Go check it out. They are participating in the Sunnyside Shine Restaurant Week last I heard..

We stopped by and had the mango yogurt drink tonight, we loved it. We can't wait to come back and try out other drinks on the menu.

The intent is there. The setting is charming, romantic, and delightfully eccentric. You walk in expecting a proper afternoon tea experience and feel like you've stumbled into a forgotten Upper East Side parlor where time stopped sometime around 1887- and it smells it Unfortunately, much like Pip's great expectations, mine fell a bit short. The tea was Harney & Sons, but neither the London Fog nor the Earl Grey tasted like much of anything. The London Fog had lost the fog, and the Earl Grey had misplaced the Earl. The food was equally underwhelming: three tiny Pepperidge Farm-adjacent cookies, two scones with Smucker's jam, and a selection of sandwiches that were perfectly forgettable. The price was offensive, and nothing was memorable either. For a place that trades heavily on atmosphere, I wanted the food and tea to feel special. Instead, it felt like tea service designed by and for people who think black pepper is adventurous. If you're looking for a lovely room to sit in and pretend you're a Dickens character waiting for a letter that never arrives, you'll probably enjoy it. If you're looking for exceptional tea, creative bites, or an afternoon tea experience that feels worth the price, there are better options in New York. Aesthetic: 10/10. Execution: Great Expectations, disappointing reality.

In terms of menu, the only choice is the type of tea. I got the earl grey and my husband got a ginger-based tea - both of us thought the tea was fantastic and came with milk and sugar. The food comes in a tower with sandwiches, scones, deviled eggs, and some sweet treats. I think food was the weakest part of the experience, as the cupcakes likely came from a grocery store, and the portions were pretty small for what you pay. The best part was the curry chicken sandwiches, the rest was honestly meh. The decorations really transport you out of the city into Victorian England vibes. It's a small room, maybe holding 8 or so parties, but very cozy and memorable. I probably wouldn't return but glad to have tried it! 3.5/5 for me.

It's not the same as it used to be…read more I have been going to Alice's since 2014. It was my secret spot my young friend group would go to eat. It was wonderful! However, since they got their new owners, Alice's doesn't know itself anymore. I was hesitant on going since Chapter II got shut down by the health department but I went recently to the sole location now because I wanted to give my former favorite place in the city a final chance. I thought some birthday luck (my birthday was the day before my recent visit) would make things good. The menu is abysmal now. Why are you serving burritos at an English restaurant? Why are the French fries gone? Plus it was clearly changed badly with fonts that don't match each other. The restaurant had a strong bleach odor that made eating unappetizing. The food was just okay due to that harsh smell. My friend (we are both Black women) noticed we were been glared at by a group of elderly white women at a table behind us the entire time. One of them dropped their cane, I helped pick it up, and it apparently earned their ire even more. I had never had that sort of experience at any of the locations, even in Chapter II and its more "higher class" neighborhood. We didn't say anything to the staff because we didn't want to cause trouble for them (when the staff was so kind as they always are). It's at a point where I would just rather learn how to make the sandwich I like from there at home and take the scones and tea to go rather than sit down at the restaurant. And that is a real shame because the staff are so kind and this restaurant used to be so much better. I likely will never be coming back - and it breaks my heart to say that. Get new owners, change things to back to the way they once were - seriously, Alice's needs it.

The seating is very tight and you can hear your neighbors conversation easily regardless of volume. The scones (pumpkin caramel and mixed berry) were huge and moist and I had an off menu chai/green tea blend which my waiter recommended. Great choice. I understand the appeal for sure but I'll probably opt for a more chill environment.

Bar seats are first come, first served, and we were lucky to find two. Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill. While sitting at the bar, we watched the bartenders handling garnishes with their bare hands -- moving between shrimp for Bloody Marys, lemons, olives, and other items without any visible hand washing in between. The cross-contamination was hard to ignore and frankly quite disgusting, especially considering my drink was $34 and the tab automatically includes an 18% gratuity. At that price point, basic food safety should not feel like an optional add-on. The bartenders were not particularly welcoming and gave the impression they were eager to turn seats rather than provide hospitality. To make matters worse, someone from the host stand approached my mother and told her she could not wear her winter beanie -- on one of the coldest NYC Sundays in 30 years. After coming in from dangerously frigid temperatures, it felt unnecessarily rigid and lacking in common sense. We left shortly after and will not be returning. Ever since the permanent closure of Todd English Food Hall, The Plaza feels like a shadow of what it once was -- a lasting reminder of an era that won't be coming back.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.

The service was spectacular and everyone made us feel welcome as if we stepped in their home instead of a tea house. The price of $117 pre fixe is jarring (not including tax or tip), especially if we think about the selection of food - a small soup/salad starter (soup served in a cup), an assortment of mostly vegetarian finger sandwiches with the exception of 4 pieces of salmon sandwiches (unsure if the amount is based on the amount of people or by table), 2 scones per person, a slice of cake per person (get the choco cheesecake instead of the vanilla crepe), a few pieces of choco strawberries/macarons, and tea (we opted for the tea pairing and oolong was the most disappointing one). We also separately ordered cocktails. I ordered the butterfly pea with gin and it was nice but not needed especially when it doesn't pair so well with the sweets. I am convincing myself that the experience is the justification for cost. This place is pretty and very hyped up but I would not come back for the food nor tea as it was a pretty basic/fixed selection. If you want an English tea house experience for just the experience and don't care for cost or the ability to choose your own fave finger sandwiches (I hate cucumber sandwiches), try Lady Mendl's.
