Cute bubble tea shop. They also have shaved ice! Recommend Hong Kong Milk Tea hot with 30% sugar. And if you love ube go try Taro Mud Latte with Pudding & Yam. A little on the sweeter side for me. Most of their drinks can't do 0 sugar or 0 ice.

ERYE in Long Island City is a teashop-hair salon hybrid, serving taiwanese artisanal tea, shaved ice and classic bentos. On one side, it is a sleek hair salon with modern stations, while the other side of the space houses a quaint tea shop. Their quality of tea is comparable to Chi Cha San Chen imo as they use tea leaves straight from Taiwan. The food and dessert are solid. The space is very cozy and clean too. *Drinks The menu offers a wide range of drinks and toppings, from tea to boba to fruity slushies. My personal favorite was the Taro Mud Latte with Pudding and Yam (慢熟濃芋泥紫薯布丁鮮奶), while my friend enjoyed the High Mountain Green Tea with Aloe (玉露青茶+蘆薈). The Mango Slush (雲頂金芒冰沙) is also outstanding. I like adding coconut jelly and mango popping bubbles. *HK Milk Tea Shaved Ice 絲襪奶茶刨冰 The presentation of the shaved ice was stunning. We customized it with more toppings, adding more layers of textures. It was served with a FULL CUP of HK milk tea on the side instead of syrup as the base! *Brown Sugar Bubble Panna Cotta 黑糖珍珠義式奶酪, Matcha Panna Cotta 抹茶義式奶酪 Their panna cotta is a sweet pick-me-up, available in matcha, caramel, chocolate, brown sugar and earl grey flavors. *Caramel Braised Beef Rice 紅燒牛肉飯 Don't sleep on their bentos -- we were all surprised by how delicious the braised pork rice was! My bf demolished the whole thing in split seconds.

Another new tea shop in LIC? You know I'm there. Erye shares a space with the lobby of a nice salon and there is lots of seating inside. I tried an iced taro latte with lactose-free milk. They shook the taro pudding fresh, and it was delicious! Will try fruit teas or mango slush next time.

Really cute and cozy tea shop that also serves shaved ice! Great portion and their drinks were good. Their milk cap drinks were my fav!

The place is very beautiful and comfortable for people to sit and enjoy their bubble tea. You can even get your hair done next door. The service is super fast and provided whatever we needed. The bubble tea was pretty good. The tea taste is quite strong and I would recommend anything with the pudding in it. Definitely check this place out if you are in Long Island city.

The service was a little slow but it is understandable, they are new. The lady I ordered from didn't speak a lick of english. I just pointed to stuff that I wanted. It took a little time under ten minutes for them to get my tea ready. The shop is an extension to the hair place. So its a store within a store. They have their own entrance, but you can enter on either side. I feel like this place is not going to last long, but I could be wrong. The specials on the sign were not correct.

This newly opened boba tea shop has quickly become my go-to spot, and it's not just because of its chic, cozy vibe. The name "Erye" translates to "one heart two leaves," symbolizing their deep dedication to high-quality tea. Every cup here is brewed from tea leaves meticulously selected by hand, ensuring that each sip is full of flavor and care. Whether you're a boba enthusiast or just love a good tea, Erye Tea Shop has something special for you. Their menu is brimming with options--from classic milk teas to unique flavors--all customizable with a variety of toppings like herbal jelly, Boba, taro and many more. And if you're feeling adventurous, their shaved ice is a game-changer! You can mix and match your favorite toppings to create the perfect treat. If you're in the LIC area, Erye is a must-visit. Featuring: -Hong-Kong Milk Tea -Osmanthus Oolong Tea -Ceylon Milk Tea with Puding -Lemon Kumquat Green Tea -Mango Slush -HK milk tea Shaved Ice -Panna Cotta Matcha -Panna Cotta Brown Sugar -Panna Cotta Original -Panna Cotta Chocolate Follow @spinx17 for more NYC food recs!

Great boba place in lic! Don't miss it if you're a fan. I ordered a few drinks and they are great. Delicious! Not overly sweet too. Highly recommend

Jasmine Milk Tea

My new favorite tea spot in LIC! Have tried the Jasmine and the oolong milk teas at 0% sugar and the natural sweetness of the tea comes out so well. Fragrant, floral, and light. Pretty much everything I want in a Jasmine milk tea. Will definitely be coming back!

The roasted oolong milk tea with boba was delicious. The tea flavor was strong and you could taste a good balance between the milk and tea. I see myself stopping here again when I'm near Court Square and craving boba.

loved everything i tried here. the tea was strong and the boba and sweet and chewy. the matcha panna cotta was not too sweet and perfect texture w the boba. loved the pork dish as well- the meat was soft and flavorful :) the shop is also very cute and aesthetic for pics!

great bubble tea, especially the assam milk tea with no sugar. no wait and fast service.

Love their atmosphere and teas! Great & friendly customer service. I ordered Hong Kong Milk Tea..... tasted smooth and flavorful! I'm in love with it! They got many different tea choices unlike most of the bubble tea shops now! Highly recommended!

In terms of menu, the only choice is the type of tea. I got the earl grey and my husband got a ginger-based tea - both of us thought the tea was fantastic and came with milk and sugar. The food comes in a tower with sandwiches, scones, deviled eggs, and some sweet treats. I think food was the weakest part of the experience, as the cupcakes likely came from a grocery store, and the portions were pretty small for what you pay. The best part was the curry chicken sandwiches, the rest was honestly meh. The decorations really transport you out of the city into Victorian England vibes. It's a small room, maybe holding 8 or so parties, but very cozy and memorable. I probably wouldn't return but glad to have tried it! 3.5/5 for me.

I made a resy, and arrived to a very busy shop and there was a lot of littles running around. Kids don't bother me but I wasn't expecting so many during school hours. I do love that kids get fairy wings which is adorable. If you are looking for a quiet place, this isn't it. The seating is very tight and you can hear your neighbors conversation easily regardless of volume. The scones (pumpkin caramel and mixed berry) were huge and moist and I had an off menu chai/green tea blend which my waiter recommended. Great choice. I understand the appeal for sure but I'll probably opt for a more chill environment.

People rave about this place. Maybe we went on an off day. Upon entering, we noticed that the place felt outdated and somewhat shabby, as though it needed an update or some TLC. Our server wasn't particularly warm or inviting, but they were busy when we were there, so it happens. Had to flag them down for things we needed a handful of times. Scones, finger sandwiches, etc. were fine. I wouldn't say they blew our minds, nor were they poorly done. They were just...fine. I don't feel they warranted the pricing, and I will spend on good food without issue any time. Overall, this was by no means bad. It was just middle-of-the-road for us.

The taste of the item in the tea set was okay, can't really taste the flavor, but they kept the scones warm which was nice. We also ordered Muchroom Soup and Ham and cheese sandwich. Those were delicious. As for the tea, they come with free hot water refill to the individual kettle. phew!! Bar seats are first come, first served, and we were lucky to find two. Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill. While sitting at the bar, we watched the bartenders handling garnishes with their bare hands -- moving between shrimp for Bloody Marys, lemons, olives, and other items without any visible hand washing in between. The cross-contamination was hard to ignore and frankly quite disgusting, especially considering my drink was $34 and the tab automatically includes an 18% gratuity. At that price point, basic food safety should not feel like an optional add-on. The bartenders were not particularly welcoming and gave the impression they were eager to turn seats rather than provide hospitality. To make matters worse, someone from the host stand approached my mother and told her she could not wear her winter beanie -- on one of the coldest NYC Sundays in 30 years. After coming in from dangerously frigid temperatures, it felt unnecessarily rigid and lacking in common sense. We left shortly after and will not be returning. Ever since the permanent closure of Todd English Food Hall, The Plaza feels like a shadow of what it once was -- a lasting reminder of an era that won't be coming back.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.

The service was spectacular and everyone made us feel welcome as if we stepped in their home instead of a tea house. The price of $117 pre fixe is jarring (not including tax or tip), especially if we think about the selection of food - a small soup/salad starter (soup served in a cup), an assortment of mostly vegetarian finger sandwiches with the exception of 4 pieces of salmon sandwiches (unsure if the amount is based on the amount of people or by table), 2 scones per person, a slice of cake per person (get the choco cheesecake instead of the vanilla crepe), a few pieces of choco strawberries/macarons, and tea (we opted for the tea pairing and oolong was the most disappointing one). We also separately ordered cocktails. I ordered the butterfly pea with gin and it was nice but not needed especially when it doesn't pair so well with the sweets. I am convincing myself that the experience is the justification for cost. This place is pretty and very hyped up but I would not come back for the food nor tea as it was a pretty basic/fixed selection. If you want an English tea house experience for just the experience and don't care for cost or the ability to choose your own fave finger sandwiches (I hate cucumber sandwiches), try Lady Mendl's.
