    Duck Penyet

This cafe also has an extensive food menu along with its desserts. Interesting menu with ramen, Indonesian, dim sum & Chinese dishes. I tried the Indonesian dish duck penyetan which is crispy duck that comes with spicy sambal and rice. The duck was tender and nicely fried, with the sambal perfectly spicy (proper Indonesian heat level). The cafe also specializes in desserts, and I got the Indonesian shaved ice that come with all the fruits and toppings. This was perfect for summer, big portions and the toppings all accompanying each other well. Service is quick and fast, but they don't accept $50 or $100 bills. Inside is neat and clean.

Eaton Cafe is definitely a hidden gem in Queens! I almost don't want to share this amazing place for fear it will be crowded every time we go there now. Our dinner there tonight was perfect! We ordered chicken wings, french fries, and pork soup dumplings for our kids. For my husband and me, we enjoyed the pork combo, the crispy watercress salad and Batagor (fried fish cake, fried tofu, fried wontons and fried potato with peanut sauce on the side in case our kids wanted any). Our most memorable and refreshing dish was the Crispy Watercress Salad. Who knew watercress could be fried!?! lol We will definitely be ordering again next time as well as recommending to others. This dish was refreshing and light. Loved every bite! The pork combo was a combination of roast pig, sausage slices, fried slices of fish cake, etc. with rice and soup on the side. Easily the ideal lunch for one person or to share with someone! The Batagor was very fun to eat because it reminded me of fondue but with peanut sauce. I loved dipping the fried fish cake, fried tofu, fried wonton and fried potato in the yummy peanut sauce. This night was delicious and the perfect family dinner for us. With tax and 20% tip, total was about $145 and change. A little steep for family dinner but it was about right considering the raising cost of groceries. We considered it our New Year dinner. Eaton Cafe definitely gets two thumbs up from me and my Yummylicious Stamp of Approval! Happy New Year everyone!

We got takeout only on this visit- Dish 1-curry Chicken Karsu Dish2- Tofu Teriyaki Dry ramen Both dish are tasty and delicious. Dessert was just average. Service (kitchen) was so slow. I would go back.

    Mango Salad

The mango salad was substantive and tangy, refreshing but not overpowering. The milkfish was smoky and had a mild but fatty flavor. The chicken egg noodles were slithery, dense, and had a plethora of elements; the fried wonton was crunchy while the ground chicken was fragrant and sweet.

I recommend to come here super good quality food and amazing service. The atmosphere is amazing and great . First time coming here and super friendly and good food:))

Eaton Cafe looks quite different from the outside--the name doesn't immediately give off a typical cafe vibe, so it might be easy to brush it off. The place is fairly new, and you can tell they're still working through some initial kinks in service and setup. They offer a variety of Asian dishes, which is a nice change from the usual cafe fare. I ordered the Hainan Chicken, which came with flavorful rice, a side of soup, and spices served on the side for added kick. The dish was satisfying and well-presented. Overall, Eaton Cafe shows promise. With a bit more refinement, it could become a great spot for casual Asian comfort food.

Great food and great service! Half grab and go, half restaurant. Food is spot on with flavors and huge portions size. Ordered the combo noodles with meatball, highly recommend. Interior is clean and has a modern look to it Staff are super welcoming and friendly

Obsessed with this new gem near Queens Mall -- Eaton in Elmhurst is officially my favorite spot! They serve up a delicious mix of ramen, authentic Indonesian food , homemade baked goods, and a super fancy dessert selection (the Indo sweets & snacks are chef's kiss ). Everything is sooo yummy, and the vibes? Cozy, welcoming, and perfect for anything -- from a chill lunch to a little gathering with friends. Amazing food + warm service = total win. If you haven't checked it out yet, you're missing out!

This place is a cute and spacious Asian restaurant off of Queens Blvd. The food was good, although it was the first time I'd had soup dumplings served on a plate rather than in their steamer. I thought the desert pastry that was shaped like teddy bears and turtles was adorable. Prices were affordable here. The service was pretty good but we actually had to call over our server a couple of times because he didn't check in too much to see if we needed anything.

The tiramisu was so so good! Napoleon was not the best too flaky and not the strongest taste. Cute little cafe also serves food. The ramen was pretty good! All great prices and great comfortable seating area for a quick bite

I was thrilled to hear that a new spot in the neighborhood is serving ramen. It's a great addition! I tried the volcano chicken shoyu ramen, which was perfectly spicy, with a delicious broth, homemade noodles, and braised pork belly that was the best I've ever had. The egg was cooked to perfection too. When you order an entree, it comes with a Thai iced tea. They also make their own desserts, which we got to go, and they were super tasty. The service was friendly and warm. I'll definitely be back, EATON!

It is Indonesian inspired Japanese Ramen.....basically anything Indonesians touch end up Yummy! The food is quite delicious and well presented, the prices are reasonable &the service is wonderful...the staff is friendly & attentive. Ive come with my family 3 times so far ..& we're neither Indonesian or Japanese. They also have a very good fancy dessert selection. ...and the best surprise it a wall unit full of Indonesian sweets and snacks ...TRY THEM! We'll be back! Terima Kasih!

RAMEN: all the broths are either beef based, chicken based or vegetarian (no pork based broth)…read more Depending on what you order, they offer a variety of noodles--wavy or thin. All the ramens were pretty good. The serving size of noodles is perfect, just enough to be filling. - If you want a creamier broth that you might get from a pork broth, I'd recommend the miso (mix of mushroom broth and oat milk). - The niboshi is pretty tolerable spice. The spicy fish oil gives you a kick at the back of your throat, so not really a broth for sipping before mixing it. The pork belly is less fatty than what I prefer but the broth was plenty flavor. It comes with just bean sprouts, scallions and bonito flakes. If you want more toppings, an egg is $3. SEATING / AMBIANCE: 6 tables - 3 two-seat tables and 3 four-seat tables, and a row of high tops. It's a fairly small place, but when we went when they first opened during lunch time, it was completely empty so walk in was not an issue. Quiet with RNB playing.

Also one of the BEST broths I have had in New York. It is comparable to some in Japan with how good that beef broth is. The chicken broth is excellent as well and worked since my friend has a dietary restriction. Sadly could not try the karaage since they sold out! Get it if you can. Food (5/5): probably some of the best ramen you can get in Brooklyn! You take a sip and it has so much rich flavor you can tell they took a long time to cook it. Just the right amount of salt that leads to explosive umami flavor with everything else included. Only downside is that the egg is an additional 2-3 dollars boosting the ramen price to 20 per bowl. Other than that, it's a great bowl of ramen I will be going again. I heard the steak was good from my friends but we got the okanomiyaki, it's pretty big, delicious, but only get it if you are a large fan of them. It's pretty pricey for what it is. Cucumber salad was delicious and fresh, nice hit of spiciness. Service (4.5/5): The person helping us is super nice, though there is a language barrier and that might cause some misunderstandings. I only brought it down half a point because you aren't going to get that understanding but they are very nice and try their best. Nothing wrong but it does get busy and you might have to call them for refills or other issues. The chefs are also very friendly. Cleanliness and interior (5/5): you can tell it's rather small, but modern and chic. Great for a night out to eat as they are open late. Great casual dinner spot and has a fantastic Lofi jazzy playlist that adds to it. Combined with the unforgettable beef broth, and you have a night to remember. J's Parking Advice- it's pretty packed at night because there is a lot to do around. Parking garages are a little far off too but everything is walkable once you find a spot. There is a street parking but it's hard to find, you might have to park far and walk there or public transport. We did take around 10-20 mins to find parking. So good luck! Overall: it's a spot I have to go back to especially since they sold out of the karaage! If that doesn't tell you how good it is not sure what else! Definitely a local favorite and a hidden gem

It's been open for a few years, so clearly it has a good enough formula to keep the neighborhood happy. I have been here once before, but returned last week after dining several meals at Tomoni in Jackson Heights. Apparently, the owners are friends. Nonetheless, I needed to make the comparison. After my first few bites of their Tora Don and Chirashi Don, it was clear that this restaurant has the better quality seafood. Each slice of sashimi had vibrant colors, clean taste, and the proper texture. Tomoni is not bad, but fall slightly short of this caliber. With that said, there is an even farther gap between their rice quality. Though Tora is very good, Tomoni produces nearly perfect texture and acidity for my taste buds. Other than the best omakase restaurants in NYC, Tomoni shines as one of the best versions of sushi rice in the five boroughs. Service is good and space is cute. If I have a craving for some decent Japanese food, I would drive 20 minutes here for a meal anytime.

It's a bummer I wasn't more hunger or that I didn't have more bucks in my wallet because I wanted all these dishes.
