Ohnoh Kawt Swe Soup Latphat Thoke

I was extremely pleased with my experience here. Although very unassuming from the outside, the interior is clean and comfortable and the service is warm and friendly. I ordered the fermented tea leaf salad and the coconut chicken noodle soup, which seem to be some of the most popular items. The salad was such a pleasant combination of textures. The fibrous tea leaves are mixed with juicy tomato and various crunchy nuts and seeds. The raw garlic and sliced green chili give it a pleasant bite. The noodle soup was amazing. The broth was so rich and flavorful without being heavy. The noodles were chewy and the various crunchy toppings made every bite interesting. I cleaned my plate and I'm looking forward to going back for more.

My Togo place for Burmese foods. Shan noodles, coconut noodles, mont Hnin kar and vergetables garden over rice.

I was in the area to visit my friend at the hospital nearby so I wanted something quick and my friend asked for the mohinga soup which is a Burmese fish noodle soup which they sell here. She enjoyed it. One of my friends dined with me ordered the Ohnoh Kawt Swe Soup which is a coconut noodle soup. She said that it was really good and had just the right amount of coconut in it. For myself, I got the Kyay Oh Seafood soup which was very bland. They gave hot sauce with it so that helped a lot. Maybe, I should've ordered somethIng else, but my entree just didn't hit the spot.

Very authentic place for solid Burmese food. Had delivery first and the lunch box blew me away. The soup that came with the rice is the best. Next went in person to get some a thoke sone and chin Naung kyaw. Everything is 10/10. Service is amazing too. The free green tea they gave pairs so well with all the food.

Cuisine: 7 Service: 8 Decor: 6 Value: 7 Overall: 7 I came here a couple times now and focus on mainly the Burmese cuisine. The owners are really friendly and kind. I really like the Laphet Thoke (Tea Leaf Salad) and Mohinga (Fish Soup w/ Rice Noodle). Though I don't think they are as good as Burmese Bites, it's definitely easier access for me. Their other dishes like Pork Neck w/ Papaya Salad, Pork Curry, and A Kyaw Sone (Fried Vegetables) are all quite good. Beef curry and Nan Gyi Thoke (Chicken Curry Noodle) are just okay. It's nothing fancy, but if I am in the mood for something different in my neighborhood, this place will do.

A perfect place for my home comfort dishes the noodle salad were good and Kyay Oh sichat was good too except the meat portion is small. But it's worth the price. The staff was friendly and the service was good!

Got Asian Bowl delivered, after deciding that I didn't want what we were making for dinner. I got the General Tso's Vegetarian Chicken, and honestly, I loved it. I've been looking all over Queens for some good General Tso's tofu/vegetarian substitute and Asian bowl hit the spot. I took my leftovers the next day and mixed it with the rice it came with. Honestly it's a hit, and will definitely order again, soon!

Ordered takeout on Lunar New Year's day. Lunch specials: The Shrimp Pad Thai was good, generous portion. My son had Chicken with Broccoli but didn't have the brown sauce which he prefers. With few pcs of edamame, a dumpling, spring roll and a choice of fried rice or fried noodles - picked noodles which reminded me of filipino Pancit canton. A few of the dishes actually made me think of filipino dishes. Like the Pork Curry and Fried Beef with Spicy (we got non-spicy) which was dry like "tapa", maybe will try with some spice next time. We picked these for the Family Curry Meal (available Mon-Fri) - comes with rice, and choice of edamame or 4 spring rolls. Also the Nga-Ku Sin Kaw fish curry which had 5 small filets, a tasty dish. ------ My son's friend recommended Asian Bowl and learned it served Burmese cuisine (my first taste was at the Queens Center Mall.) Looking at the menu, noticed chinese dishes so focused on the Burmese options. Some dishes had detailed descriptions, but others didn't so was googling :) Mohinga soup was recommended and we really liked it. The fish soup was served separately- had a split-pea soup consistency but not thick. Came with a plate of noodles, fried garlic, crispy split chickpeas (like a thin cracker), and other toppings. Then we assembled our bowls. Can be asked to be non-spicy. Latphat Thoke is a delicious mix of ingredients, with a lot of crunchy textures. Raw garlic too which when mixed in wasn't very noticeable. We asked for mild spiciness - the sliced green chilies were put on the side. The restaurant is dimly-lit, cozy, with I think 5-6 tables for at least 2-4 people each. Located slightly off of Queens Boulevard (by the Federoff triangle), with 67th ave subway and Q60 bus stops nearby. Learned from the owner that they took over in 2019. He was nice enough to answer our questions about the food, and got us interested to try more which we will definitely do.

Delicious Burmese food! There aren't a lot of options in the city , usually can only get traditional Burmese at family events when my aunt cooks. This place has really great flavors , my all time favorite is the tea leaf salad and the coconut chicken noodle soup. The mohinga (fish noodle soup) is very good too. Reasonably priced and notice a lot of Burmese customers when I dined so that's a great sign!

The best takeout spot in the neighborhood! I like the variety of their menu and being able to choose from both typical takeout fare and authentic Burmese food. The mohinga (fish soup) is my personal favorite, so good and flavorful (especially as a someone who loves cilantro)! The pa zun chin thake is also a tasty traditional dish I've tried, a little spicy and full of cilantro. Asian Bowl is gluten-free friendly and they offer gluten-free versions of takeout dishes like general tso's, pad thai, and pad kee mao. I've ordered the regular and gluten-free versions of the general tso's and pad kee mao, and there's no difference in taste to me.

The service is warm and efficient, adding to the overall comfortable experience. The Hainanese chicken could use a touch more seasoning, and the dipping sauce leans a bit too sweet for my taste, but the chicken itself is consistently cooked to perfection: tender, silky, and satisfying. The beef satay is another highlight, well-executed and flavorful. The Singapore rice noodles could use some refinement. They're properly seasoned, but lack anything distinctive to set them apart. The beef chow fun, on the other hand, is done well, the noodles hold their texture without breaking apart, and there's a nice portion of beef. And don't skip the treats at the counter, made fresh daily. The roast pork buns and curry puffs are definitely worth trying.

I am always a fan of these hyper specialist places because I figure if you only sell one dish it must be really good. They also included some chicken gizzards and liver if you are a fan of those, but for me I could do with or without. Overall a solid place and worth a repeat visit in my book.
