Pistachio and mango pastries. Took a bit of each to taste
    Trista L.

Randomly came upon this bakery and what a gem! They had a very good selection of cakes and pastries. I got a slice of pistachio cake and a slice of mango to go. Both taste amazing, the pistachio and mango flavors came through and the texture was perfect. I don't visit the neighborhood much, but I'd love to try more if I am here again! Service was also very friendly!

This bakery makes the best croissants, and pastries are good too. Everything is good, breads and pastry. My go to place for croissants. They're light, crispy on the outside, chewy and pillowy soft on the inside. With a delicate buttery sweet taste. If you're lucky to get a fresh one, you're in for a real treat. The best I've had in NYC since I was in Paris. No other place, even the expensive ones in Manhattan, make croissants and bread as good. Baguette was good too. Love this place. It is my favorite go-to bakery in Astoria. Can't wait for the 30th Ave location to open up again. Their Moroccan tea is also great. But the croissants and pastry are top in my list. Reasonably priced too at $3 on average for a GOOD croissant.

4.5 stars. While I was exiting the Steinway Street subway station the other day, I noticed a new bakery had opened up on 34th avenue. There is another Paris Bakery located just a few blocks away on 30th Avenue so this would be their second location in Astoria. Just like the other location, they serve various baked goods (tarts, cakes, croissants, etc.), hot and cold beverages, sandwiches, fruit cups and gelato. The shop is super cute, very clean and has a great laid-back atmosphere. They have a fairly big set up in front of the bakery for outdoor seating. I ordered a few items on my first visit and was so impressed. Strangely though, they do not have a menu posted anywhere on the premises and most of the items in the cases did not have a label. So, there was a lot of questions and finger pointing (at the items) when I ordered. I got an almond tart, a raspberry fruit tart, a Snickers chocolate dessert bar, and what looked like a Ferrero Rocher chocolate dessert thingy. The desserts were each $4.50 which was a bargain in my opinion. The almond tart was a tad bit on the dry side but was so great with coffee. The raspberry fruit tart was wonderfully fresh, the crust buttery and flaky, and the cream filling smooth. The Snickers chocolate dessert bar was shaped like a popsicle but was actually a slice of cake with chocolate cream and nuts. It was sooooo good. The Ferrero Rocher chocolate dessert was my favorite. I was expecting this one to be super sweet, but it wasn't. It was made with both dark and milk chocolate, and had pieces of hazelnuts, and topped with a thick cracker and a Ferrero Rocher chocolate. Absolutely heavenly! If you're looking for goodies to bring to work, to a party or to treat yourself, then I highly recommend trying this place. Their pastries are so delicious and they make damn good coffee.

We shared a pistachio cake and a Napoleon! The Napoleon was 1000% the better of the two! It reminded me of a custard kit kat with crunchy, well baked wafers, a hazelnut taste, and the most delicious vanilla pastry cream spread throughout. Every bite was the perfect crunch and light whipped sweetness. There's a reason this is the most popular dessert here. The pistachio cake was okay- the pistachio flavor tasted a bit artificial and the cake was dry. I expected more of a lighter pistachio mousse inside but it was heavy on the sugar and the butter, resulting in a dense bite. The buttercream on top further contributed to the overall heaviness of the dessert. Come for the Napoleon! You won't regret jt

The best pastry shop in the entire Astoria area. They always have fresh pastries. Their cakes are to die for especially strawberry shortcake. As for Valentines, I can't even tell you how beautiful their displayed is and how delicious each piece of cake we bought. Look no further this place is close to the subway, always clean and they care about their customers, the prices are way more reasonable than Paris baguette or any other bakery in the area. Plus EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS FRESH! Thank you

Really nice and fresh pastries and baked goods. The restaurant has a nice airy feel to it. However, the employee serving did not have a face mark and did not do a vaccine check when I sat at a table

The 7 layer cake is a beautiful work of art and the taste marches. Its a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting topped with strawberry and chocolate mouse. Note to the wise, don't make the same mistake I did. Always look at your cake once it is placed in the box. The display cake looked good, then I did not get to inspect the cake before it was placed in the box. Once I arrived home, I saw that the top part of the cake had a dent in the mouse and strawberry covering which made it look messy. It was an embarrassment to present it as such so I improvised by using the mother's day signage to cover up the blip. When I called to speak with the location about it they dealt with it very professionally and were apologetic about the situation and offered a comp. It was such a relief to have customer service go right after experiencing that.

We had low expectations, realizing it was in the middle of Times Square, assuming it would be a tourist trap like most places in Times Square. We were pleasantly surprised! It had really good crispness and delicious filling, which was vanilla forward (used to normal custard). Didn't try anything else except the lobster tail. They have other flavors as well -- we will try the Nutella flavored lobster tail next! AMBIANCE: Super small place (expected) so it's take away only. Would come back if I'm in the area again, although I tend to avoid due to crowds.

They don't have a large bagel sandwich or schmear section menu, they keep it simple here. But, I'm all about smoked salmon so we ordered the NY breakfast bagel sandwich. Bagel consistency was chewy and flavor profiles were light-for example I tasted a hint of the dill cream cheese schmear, hint of smoked salmon, chives, red onion , and lemon zest. Good, but would have liked stronger flavors or more of the ingredients. What shined was the cinnamon Babka! A dense bread with a soft gooey cinnamon goodness in the middle. Hard to have just one slice :D. They offer a chocolate one as well. Orwashers have a couple of locations, we happen to hit this one as it was on our way to The MET.

I especially feel that a lot of cookies have too much chocolate in them, but I'm obsessed with the dough part of chocolate chip cookies. This cookie was a really good balance and it was delicious until the last bite. Gonna be an obsession for a while for sure. Other things to know the staff were pretty friendly and greeting when I walked in. It's a small place. No particular seating area available. Great to walk in grab what you want and leave. I did also try their tomato focaccia which was delicious. The Dubai croissant however, was not it. The filling was dry and the croissant had also dried out, so it was just a flaky chalky mess. But definitely go for the cookies and breads.

After an awkward moment trying to figure out who I was supposed to order from and then asking the price of a soda, I commented that the process was confusing.
