I decided to stop here on the way back to the convention center this morning and try one of their bagel sandwiches, which was outstanding. Plain toasted bagel with egg cheese and bacon done to perfection . And I could not forget the freshly squeezed orange ! Like I said in my previous review the other day they offer all different kinds of sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. They have different wraps and other food items which are prepared fresh and to your liking. The service was impeccable and very welcoming and helpful . They had a few tables inside that were occupied with folks enjoying their breakfast, which is always nice to see . I do plan on stopping there tomorrow morning before departing New York City to grab a few bagels and some various spreads to take home for my wife to enjoy . So I do highly recommend stopping in on your way to the convention center to grab breakfast or if you get a lunch break and you're at the convention center just take a quick walk up 37th St. to the first block and make a right and this shop is right there . All the food is prepared fresh all the food in a case is look amazing and I'm gonna tell you you can't go wrong. Really good small business to support for sure. . read more

Went to get a mealpal here and they told me they don't participate and very rudely asked that I leave the store not giving me a chance to decide if I want something else. This restaurant is on the mealpal app every single day. Instead of being rude to customers, take some responsibility for your business and make sure you don't list offers on apps you have no intention of fulfilling. And hire employees with basic customer service skills. Will not be going here again. Update to the restaurant's response: Not exactly sure how I'm supposed to contact them directly as there doesn't seem to be any way to message them on here and I certainly will not be calling to speak to the rude employees. I also see on here multiple reviews calling them out for *illegally* denying service dogs, which as a disability advocate, I'm appalled by. read more

Passing by and Finn called my name (not literally of course but I had this calling to give it a try)...The people behind the counter were friendly and moving like people who know that customers want to get their order in and get their bagel and keep going with their day. I ordered a scrambled eggs and cheese sandwich on a toasted sesame seed bagel. It came out quick and hot. There were no empty tables but I was happy to eat standing at the counter. Really glad I read reviews on Google before coming to Yelp, because had I looked here first, I never would have gone to Finn's. Rolled in for Comic Con yesterday and needed fuel for the day. Really a lack of breakfast/bagel spots around the Javits, but this place came up. The first Google review for the Nova Deluxe Sandwich is what sold me. It seemed a little too enthusiastic. I mean, "silky nova"? This was the silkiest nova I've ever eaten in my life! And I get it from Ivarone Bros. The sandwich was STACKED. Veggies green and fresh: everything bagel, cream cheese, tomato, red onion, avocado, silky nova...yoooo, do I need to come from Queens when I want my smoked salmon bagel?! I don't know if it was because I was starving, slightly stoned, or gaslit myself on high expectations, but this was honestly the best thing I've put in my face in a very long time. Pros were that it came nicely wrapped and fast service (no crazy lines like some other bagel spots nearby), also they have some seating. Cons were that the bagel was just ok (I asked for it toasted and some parts were a little overburnt), and it was stuffed with too much cream cheese (normally I wouldn't mind extra of something but it threw off the bagel to cream cheese ratio a little too much). read more

I was able to order and pay online and my items were neatly wrapped and packaged and waiting for me in a paper bag with the receipt attached. Ok bagels. Not New York's best. The everything bagel itself was the right amount of chewiness and cooked just right. Cream cheese was plentiful with good consistency. Seasonings limited. Service a little slow but kept the line moving. Took forever for the orders to come out. Coffee lukewarm even though there was not much milk in it. The place is small, bright and clean but waiting for the food, not much room to wait. Indoor seating limited to 5 tables with 14 seats total. I'm not surprised this place is Unclaimed on Yelp because by the look of it it's just not their style, this is an old school New York bagel shop, moms and pops style, not like other places that are more focused on creating a brand around nothing-to-write-about bagels. I see there are reviews here that there was too much cream cheese in the bagel, that's how it supposed to be! A good bagel is like a good hamburger- eating it is messy. The bagels at Finn's are hand rolled (which is expensive btw and there's a whole secret about NY bagels rollers I'm not going to open up here) the fish is great and fresh and you get a lot of it same goes to everything in the bagel including capers. No, it's not cheap, but it's prices the same as other places where you get 4 capers on a small machine made bagel. The service is old school bagel shop, like at an old school fish & chips joint in England. They are short, not here to be nice, they have tons of things to do because they run the place they are not servers, they are behind the counter and they are proud they serve amazing bagels. The food was good. The bagel was fresh and soft and the lox was delicious. And the service was fast. If I rated the place on just the food, they'd get 4 stars! However, the issue I have with this spot, I spent almost $30 for a bagel and latte. Then, I was still drinking my latte and they pushed me to leave because "they needed the table." I'm a frequent customer who lives less than a block away. today. I walked in there with my service animal, and I was greeted with no kindness whatsoever. They demanded my dog's ID. Came on Sunday morning with barely any ppl there ordered 1 chai latte and breakfast burrito with turkey bacon swapped and add chipotle sauce and ketchup. Charged me for 2 chai lattes and $3 for turkey bacon when I specifically said I want to swap turkey bacon however they don't care they just want to make as much money as possible while doing the most sloppy low effort work. I had to wait like 10 minutes for my refund for the turkey bacon and chai latte. When I got home there was no sauce in my burrito. Not a single drop of sauce even though when I told the worker I want ketchup and chipotle sauce I vividly remember him telling the cook but the cook is just so far gone wiping his nose with his bare hands no gloves then touching the food just in la la land not paying attention with a weird smirk on his face just giggling joking all day w the other chefs. Not a single drop of sauce the driest nastiest burritos I've ever had with 99% filled with raw unseasoned potatoes barely any meat. Once again not a single drop of sauce was given...how can you overcharge and underdeliver makes no sense...horrible experience the worst one I've had in NYC so far. Had a delicious everything bagel with cream cheese on my way to Interphex pharmaceutical conference. it's a very small place with only a couple of tables and when I visited, had quite a crowd. So it definitely is a place that people know about. My bagel was absolutely delicious. It had just the right amount of cream cheese and excellent flavor. It's a little uncomfortable before and after you order because you have to stand around in front of other people who are also waiting to or for their orders and it's easy to find yourself hovering a little too close to the people who are seated and trying to eat their meal. The bagel was worth the wait and the awkwardness. My only suggestion is find a larger place. read more

Unassuming little bagel shop in Hells Kitchen which has the best Bialys uptown. Seriously. You can't really find real Bialys anymore let alone fresh ones. Originally I was going to try a bagel but when I saw they had Bialys with the chopped onion and poppy seed centers I had to order that. The exterior of the Bialy was just right and if you've ever tried a real jewish Bialy from Brooklyn you'd know exactly what I'm talking about. Brand new place which is spotless and clean. I am not sure how to rate this place. The bagels are good but they don't have that taste that I remember from my trips to New York. That's not saying that these are bad bagels considering that in my four days there I came here twice. The first time I tried the everything bagel with the lox spread and chives. I was a little underwhelmed with the amount of salmon in it because I was seriously expecting to have lox instead of just little bits of it in the spread but that was my bad and I did not take issue with the fact that was exactly what my server told me to order even though I had described what I actually wanted. But I won't count it against anyone. The second time I came I got the Essex street bagel which has pastrami salmon, avocado, chive cream cheese. This was once again very one note. The bagel was untoasted like I remember I should be getting them but the filling itself was just not all that. If I'm in the area and really want a bagel I'll stop by but otherwise it's not some place I'll go to try out of my way. read more

Had high hopes for this shop. It was close to my hotel, had a cute design, and a line out the door. It's clear the line was because of convenience not desire. Order an everything bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagel had practically no seasoning and was burnt to a crisp. All I could taste was burn. Additionally, I order a vanilla latte that I won't be able to review considering I left without it. 45 minutes for a latte is unacceptable. There was no organization or order to receiving orders. Orders placed on top of the pile would get made first, customers who walked up to the one man making lattes would get theres made priority, 1 in every 3 customers would have to come back because their order was wrong. Then they would be told that they (the customer) was wrong.
