Came here would 1 PM on a Saturday after our trip to China - Italy town. Immediate thoughts - must try if your a bagel person. Yes there are many great bagel places across Manhattan - but this one always: 1. Gets the food right, menu 2. Will have a line, testimony to demand 3. Fast and efficient This is in my top three bagel places in all of Manhattan under 96th street. Got a lox bagel with cream cheese and a everything bagel with cream cheese and had peppers in both. One of the best lox bagels I have ever had. Was oozing with flavor. Highly recommend regardless of all income levels - to try this place at least once. Finally got to try a NY bagel and it was worth the hype! The staff was friendly and we were helped by one of the older gents. We got the Philly cheesesteak and the house special. Both are great, but the house special won it by a landslide for me. It's LOADED with salmon and cream cheese, like what? It's a lively grab and go but there's some outdoor/indoor seating. Good friends swear this is the best bagel in the city so I've been meaning to try it for a while. I attempted another day but they had a giant line on a Sunday morning in the rain. So needless to say I waited to return. I thought they were just bagels but was shocked to see it's a full blown deli with a massive menu and lots of baked goods too. The cookies are enormous. I tried an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. Loved the bagel and that fact that it was seasoned on both sides. The cream cheese was a bit watery for my liking. Price was reasonable and they moved the line very quickly today. Will definitely come back to try more things. Come prepared to order so you don't hold up the line. read more

Stumbled upon this place near our hotel and they were the best bagels we had during our trip to NYC! Very underrated place, the bagels were the perfect ratio of bread to cream cheese with a delicious crisp outside and soft inside. Good size bagel for the price. The only place I could find opened at 6 am and I'm glad I took the walk . Ordered the Spanish omelette and potato's and ordered a hot tea . Paid less than $15 and it was filling and good ! The best Everything bacon egg and cheese bagel I've ever had. We did get lucky though, the bagels just came out the oven and were steaming. Hint: If you are in a group, I suggest everyone order their own order, that way you have multiple people working on the order. If one person orders for the group, one person will be working on that large order and it will take longer. You will be awkwardly standing and waiting while others sail by you. We love this place! We were in town for a week and we came here for breakfast I think 5 times. The staff is very friendly, but this place is super busy so you need to know your order by the time you get to the counter. If you come at a slower time they will chat with you and make recommendations. Over the week we tried the plain bagel, everything bagel, and the onion bagel. I will say my favorite is the everything bagel and I love the scallion cream cheese. The coffee is pretty good, nothing special there. GET THE PISTACHIO MUFFIN!!!
