    Feta Cheese Pie- really good
    Najwa G.

Sweet Habit is a Greek bakery in Astoria that has some awesome pastries, albeit their croissants fell flat for me so I'd rather stick to their traditional Greek pastries instead. One of my favorites had to be the feta cheese pie which was really tasty IMHO. Also, s/o to them for doing TGTG & giving generous quantities for that as well!

Great spot to hit on a Monday morning! They have a Freddo cappuccino that is spectacular, if you are a coffee lover like me you will thank me later. The service was quick and very amicable which comes very handy for a Monday morning, am I right? I ordered some pastries for work and it was a great choice, their almond croissants are delicious, creamy on the inside, crispy on the outside and they are huge ! We ended up sharing 1 croissant between 3 lol The place does have outdoor sitting area but I asked for my pastries to go!

Sweet Habit in Astoria is a charming coffee shop. The highlight of their menu is the freddo espresso, a refreshing double espresso served over ice, its my new favorite. the quality of the coffee and the delicious pastries, making it a great spot for both locals and visitors looking for a unique café experience in Astoria.

Too Good to Go stash! Cherry Danish, creme filled croissant, Potato Pie
    Misty D.

Used Too Good to Go app. The stash was about 7 bucks and I'm pretty it could retail 25 bucks minimum! I picked up on a Sunday at 4:30 pm. The workers are very friendly. The place is right off the 46th street R train stop. Food wise, I enjoyed all the baked goods, especially the creme filled croissant and the potato pie (I think it's potato??).

    Receipt

I ordered hazelnut iced latte today and I used my credit card. The latte was great but I was so pissed off when I checked the receipt. I was charged for convenience fee which is 3% and also credit card surcharge that is another 3%. The iced latte is $5.50 and convenience fee, 3% is $0.17 then credit card surcharge, 3% is $0.18. So I was charged $6.34 in total. On the receipt it says "To cover the cost of accepting credit cards, we collected a 3% credit card surcharge" I read this after I got the receipt. I was never informed when I paid for it. The guy (i guess he is the owner) asked me if I'm going to pay in cash or credit card. There was no sign that says there is a fee if you use a credit card. This is ridiculous. They should stop doing this to customers. I will never go back there again.

Very disappointing. What I thought would be a nice little coffee house turned out to be a hole-in-wall dreary cafe with blah coffee and munchies, not to mention very expensive. We arrived at Sweet Habit for refreshments before the Mansion club opened for lunch. Service at best was not particularly friendly, and we left unfulfilled. We will not be back, That's a shame because honestly, this joint could have been so much better.

    Latte and cookie

Came by on a Saturday evening to grab a quick coffee and snack before heading somewhere else. Small outpost with a couple of chairs outside as well as tables indoors if staying. To drink, ordered a regular Latte ($4.50) which was made with whole milk and sprinkled over by some cinnamon. Fantastic flavor albeit not as strong as I would have liked. As for food, many of the remaining pastry options didn't look appetizing. Settled on a pre-packaged Cranberry Nut Cookie ($4), which is a little dry yet paired well alongside the latte. Service here was quick as I was the only one inside. Do like the fact that the spot is open late, and there are packaged sandwiches/salads for a decent lunch option.

We love the place, all the staff are very friendly. We ate a salami baguette and two drinks and they were so GOOD. We're going to come back for sure!! Nice place to have a snack!!

The sauce that was served was absolutely delicious with the signature tanginess and sweetness of Thai food. The hot pot that I ordered was also enjoyed to the fullest! The food here was super good but also I love liver so I was glad they had a hot pot option that included that! After a delicious meal, we finished off with the mango bingsu which also was a huge hit! The bingsu was super fluffy and light! This meal was definitely worth it and didn't leave me feeling super heavy. The service was also great even though they were always full house with some parties waiting and only one person serving. I will be back next time to try their Thai barbecue which I saw people having and I could stop looking at! On top of all this, the server or manager even gave me a free Melona ice cream which I paired with the bingsoo after he saw that I was pregnant which I thought was super sweet. I don't live too far from here so I also want to add that even though I have not added a review, I always go to this restaurant to grab a coconut Thai milk tea to go (I am not even a huge Thai tea fan)! For some reason, I love the coconut thai tea from here and always find myself craving it.

Service is either a bit slow, they were backed up or they don't work on your app orders until you arrive and ask for it. Still, not exactly egregious and I'm trying to be understanding, though how they get backed up with 5 workers behind the counter is a little confusing. Still, the service is always friendly and the shop is cute so it's a good reminder to slow down and take it all in. Ambience is fine. Dark walls but well lit. Batches of seats up front and in the back separated by the service counter. Lots of Knick knacks for sale. They've got some pastries and sandwiches but I've never sampled them so I don't have much to add. I usually get some kind of Americano and the coffee flavors really come thru without excess bitterness. I'll also note, they've fixed their cups. Early on, their coffee cups to go used to leak but that's been rectified at least for the past few months. Definitely a good choice if you're looking for a proper brew.
